Resort lived up to its 4 star rating overall. Staff service was 5 star. It does sit near the Northern end of the developed area: pavement ends not far past the property gates. We expected better beaches, but that is not the scene in that part of Belize. The action leans towards snorkeling or dive and fishing. The wind was unusually strong and prevented any of those. But the resort itself was a fine place to hang, which we did. Also, Coco Beach does not try to extract every penny from their guests through nonsense fees. Chairs, towels, umbrellas all part of the room fee.

We had a great stay at this hotel. Our room and the grounds were spotless, we entered and the room smelled like fabuloso. Service was excellent. Check in was easy. Bartenders were excellent. Pool was fantastic. We would definitely stay here again. Rent a golf cart though, it was fantastic.

Beautiful, comfortable, romantic, and clean suites. Resort property was just big enough, with plenty of fun complimentary amenities such as kayaking or paddleboarding. Service was fantastic - every single staffmember from checking in to pool & restaurant dining, to activities manager, to housekeeping. Location is a bit farther from town (about 15-20 min by golf cart) but I loved the quiet. Would love to stay here again if I'm ever back in San Pedro.

We stayed in a two bedroom villa with sea view. The room had everything we could ask for. It was clean and comfortable. The resort is beautiful and far enough from town to be quiet and peaceful. I can't say enough about the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The resort ensured that our stay was comfortable and rememberable. We will definitely choose Coco Beach again for our next stay.

Lovely property. Great staff and food was really good. Both pools were fantastic but the swim up bar was amazing! Easy golf cart rental at the property too.

This is a great resort to stay at. We traveled with our 4 year old who enjoyed the expansive pool. There is not much beach but you can walk or run almost into San Pedro on it (about 2 miles). If you are going to Belize to dive or other tours keep in mind most of them leave from San Pedro. You will need to arrange transport from the hotel, either calling for a taxi or renting a golf cart. Driving the golf carts around Ambergis Caye is a bit of experience, but not too bad as there aren't a ton of other cars. There are several really good restaurants within 0.5 mile walk from the resort. There is also a small convenience store with produce.

Generally nice space, some issues with noise at night (had to get them to stop playing music after 9 and being anywhere near the pool or bar generally can still be noisy with little kids). Friendly staff, just not great bar or edible food. But helpful and nice people

World class property and service. The restaurant quietly has the best food on the island. I’ll bet you a nickel it’s the most fabulously designed space you will ever eat in.

Gorgeous property and wonderful staff! All suites very close to the pool and beach. Restaurants have top quality menu items and food. Outside bar is centrally located and a friendly face is always there to get you some food or drinks. Would definitely stay again!

This property was a pleasant surprise. Beautiful setting and away from the congestion of San Pedro. The staff was excellent and the availability of excursions was so easy. We will stay here again!

Some good and bad. First good.The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Their pools and beach set up are perfect for a range of visitors and nicely maintained. Drinks from the bar were a good balance without being overly sweet or cheaply boozy. The staff were all polite and friendly. The bad. The rooms need some upkeep though. Temperature locked with lowest temp at 74F which is fine if the fans are functional. I am an hot sleeper and our first room had fans that weren’t functional and the shower had a lot of soap grime on the faucet. We switched rooms and that was better but noisier closer to the street and gate. Food was average and not something we really enjoyed for the cost. Way cheaper to get better food off resort. Oddly the hotel had no hot tea options for dining although listed on the menu. Small thing but for a non coffee drinker with kids this was a let down. No organized group activities which seems like a missed opportunity especially with so many families with kids. Also no kids club or nanny service onsite or referrals for one. Overall we had a good stay but this didn’t feel like a four star hotel especially coming off a stay at Chaa Creek in San Ignacio which was top notch.

We loved Coco Beach! I will be returning if I come back to the area. I wish we could have stayed longer.

This was our 5th time staying at Coco Beach Resort and, once again, it did not disappoint! The resort is excellent, the rooms are clean, spacious, and very well appointed, and the staff are exceptional! We honeymooned at Coco Beach back in 2009 and we decided to return to celebrate our 15-year anniversary. We were thrilled to discover that we had been upgraded to a 2-bedroom sea view which they had beautifully decorated for the occasion, and they also provided a bottle of wine. Coco Beach is about 5KM from town. The restaurant at the resort is very good and there are lots of great restaurants in San Pedro however there are very limited options within walking distance so a golf cart rental is highly recommended. Tropical storm Sara affected Belize during our vacation, and I was incredibly impressed with how the staff at Coco Beach managed the situation. From the moment the forecast announced the storm, the staff at Coco Beach started to communicate to guests to help us prepare. On the day that the weather got bad, the restaurant called all of the rooms to advise that they would be closing early and to see if we needed anything before they closed. Throughout the storm, they communicated to guests regularly and made sure we were well taken care of. And when our flights home were cancelled because of the storm, they seemed to know before we did and they offered for us to keep our upgraded room at the same rate as our original booking. We look forward to returning soon!

Great place to stat

Second time in San Pedro and staying on the North side which is quiet but 20 minutes from town and most popular restaurants. You will need a golf cart to get around cause the roads are very remote and dark. Love the property and my room was very spacious for me (solo travel), customer as noted in the reviews are great too. My view from my room was great too.

Excellence all around! Staff are super friendly, food and drinks always impressed. The resort is quiet, and in a convenient location. Just a short drive to many restaurants. Concierge team was great for booking tours. Pool is phenomal. Rock slide was a huge hit for us adults. So glad we picked Coco Beach for our first time in Belize!

Beautiful resort and pools! Especially the pool bar area! Staff were super helpful and caring. They kept us up to speed daily w Tropical Storm Sara and made us feel safe and prepared!

The property is absolutely beautiful. Being an Expedia member and having room availability, Coco Beach upgraded our rooms for free. This resort has the best pool on San Pedro and the staff was great.The only downside for our group was the resort was out of the way of most of the SCUBA diving, but still manageable. Overall, I would recommend this resort.

The property was close enough to other restaurants.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. Besides the poor water pressure, it was very nice. Anytime we needed coffee, all we had to do was call the front desk and they delivered it immediately.

No key card, have to lock door with regularly key on inside as well as outside,only one restaurant , no pool activities, its called coco beach but you cant actually get in the water at the beach on the resort , nothing to do at the resort two pools one restaurant and thats it, very boring resort

Loved this place !! The service was excellent and everybody was willing to help you. I would definitely stay here again. The suite was spacious with a beautiful view. The only problem I had was that they tried to overcharge us when it was time to check out. So make sure to check your bill before you pay. The staff did help us remove the charges. Overall I had a great stay

A wonderful place to be!

I spent an exuberant amount of time looking at properties and reading reviews. I know every positive and negative thing about every property in San Pedro. I am very very happy my husband and I stayed here. I'll list some positives below, I honestly have no negatives and will stay here again. 1) The food is good, really good. We eat at Michelin restaurants, annoy our friends as foodies, and we were very pleased with the food 2) Service is amazing. Everyone was friendly and went out of their way to ensure we were having an amazing time. From the front desk staff to the golf cart rental staff, to the restaurant staff, they made us feel welcome. 3) Location, this is a big one. The main area of San Pedro is busy, very busy. Lots of people, lots of go cart traffic. This resort is just past the bridge, out of the hustle and bustle up where it is quiet. You do not hear the city, yet you are only a 10-minute drive to the bridge. I would stay here for this reason alone. The food, service, amenities, etc are just the bonus.

Amazing stay! Excellent customer service, very responsive! Only small complaint would be the comfort of our bed but end of day we were exhausted anyways.

What can i say about Coco Beach Resort? It was amazing! The staff was amazing from the day we arrived to do the day we left. The rooms were spacious and I stayed in a studio. The resort was beautiful and clean. The view every morning was beautiful. We were able to get to the fabulous excursions very easily from the resort. We have already discussed coming back to San Pedro and we will be staying at Coco Beach again!

Awesome staff great place to stay very clean great location

All of us that went on this trip absolutely love this beautiful property. It was so clean. Everyone was so nice and they went above and beyond since the moment we booked the trip. They handled everything for us. Our hopper flights, our excursion, our dinner at The Purple Pelican and even got me in touch with someone to braid my hair that would go to the hotel. They also recommended a great make up artist for a friend we met there. They also helped with easy gold cart rentals and made everything seamless. Chelsea & Rochellee were the best!! They even helped my friend and I celebrate our birthdays by decorating our room, helping my friend get us cake and making our special day super memorable. They were also able to book us last minute massages which were out of this world. They found two people on standby for us. Best massage we’ve ever gotten. The pool was spectacular. This was one of my absolute favorite trips ever! Will be coming back to Coco Beach Resort for sure.

Great property Coco beach is in a quiet area n is far from the shopping area so you will need a golf cart to get back and forth Parking is free My vip upgraded room was huge Swim up bar n pool with slide was always clean Only complaint i would say is that the whole resort is covered with sand So whatever footwear you are wearing to get in n out of your room be prepared for sand to be in it

Up until I checked into Coco Resort my experience in San Pedro had been horrible. I explained to the person confirming my reservation my experiences and they went over and beyond to make sure my experience changed. The first thing they did was offer me early check in so I could leave where I was because at the old place I didn’t have working plumbing. Upon arriving my room was ready and upgraded. The staff checked on me and made sure I was comfortable.

It is one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited in my life. The view was absolutely amazing.

Exceptional Customer Service, an Memorable Stay!

I recently stayed at Coco Beach Resort and was thoroughly impressed! The location and hotel grounds are stunning. A short golf cruise from downtown and 25 mins from Secret Beach. What was truly a take away was the outstanding customer service and amazing staff. I rarely shout out individuals - but this experience was above and beyond for amazing customer service. Kenny, Wayne, Tony, and Marvin at the pool bar and restaurant pulled out all the stops ensure me and my family had a fantastic experience. Their friendly, helpful, and attentive service made every moment enjoyable. Remembering our names, what our preferences were - all around truly exceptional! Rochellee was incredibly helpful in booking our scuba diving and golf cart. Her knowledge and attention to detail made planning our activities a breeze, and we appreciated her thoughtful help and customer service. The entire restaurant staff was equally attentive and thoughtful, ensuring our dining experiences were delightful. I can't praise the team enough for their exceptional service. Thank you, Coco Beach Resort, for making our stay truly memorable!

great staff and beautiful property

Great Resort

It was a great stay. The resort has everything you need for the stay at Ambergris Caye. The staff is very friendly and will go out of their way to make sure your stay is up to par. Complimentary beach gear is also a great benefit, the rooms are clean and up to date. The pool bar is the best place to eat and enjoy your day, as the price at the fine dinning restaurant is extremely overpriced. All the best resort I've stayed at on the island.

The staff!!!! The accommodations, the beautiful pool. Theses are the things that would make me come back again. Kennard was the most valuable person to us. He watched out for us, treated the granddaughter as a princess and made a friend for life in my husband. Everyone remembers your name and your reason for visiting. It’s like you have a family waiting for you at the end of the day after your adventures. Kennard stands out as personable and special but so many other staff members of high quality were there as well. The resort genuinely wants you to have a wonderful time!!

Great service at check in from Jose, but before we arrived i had dealings with Rochelle and Chelsea the Concierges who arranged our airport shuttle and dinner reservations and multiple excursions .these 2 young ladies made everything easier for us , also we were there the weekend of the belizean music and food festival which they help in arranging tickets for the event,.all in all a great resort with great employees to help make your stay a fantastic time

Beautiful Time At Beautiful Coco Beach Resort

Me and my husband truly enjoyed the beauty and comfort of Coco Beach Resort. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and the resort itself was beautiful and well-kept. The only complaint that we had, and this is NOT on the resort by any means, is the amount of mosquitoes that made it uncomfortable to be out by the pool or patio. Perhaps the resort could provide some type of repellant around the lounge chairs, etc. that guests could use. We had to purchase a bunch of products ourselves just to be able to sit out on the patio, etc. Other than that, we truly enjoyed ourselves and the resort.

Belize family vacation

It was perfect! Everyone was so kind helpful and attentive. The grounds are beautiful and clean. The service at the restaurants, the bar and room service was great! And the pool is just amazing and perfect for families!

Beautiful hotel and amazing pool, great service, fun pool bar, hot tub! The ONLY thing that was extremely disappointing (and not their fault --I just wasn't expecting it) was you couldn't step a toe into the beachfront water because of the sargassum . The staff said it was like 6 months out of the year!!
