Didn't get to stay in cabin at Turner Falls !

I never received an email from anyone about needing the credit card info until I was at the cabin. I never received my code to get into the cabin and could not reach anyone at the cabin property management and after hours of trying finally reached an Expedia employee whose only help was to put us in a motel miles from our destination. My grandchildren were tired and hungry so I chose to bring them back home! We were all upset that we didn't get to experience the cabins at Turner Falls!

Stayed for 2 days, there no phone signal. The tv and satellite didnt work. Only 2 light bulbs worked. I had to take light bulbs from the back and front porches just to have light in the bathroom and kitchen. No parking. I had to move large rocks just to park in the grass other wise i would blocked the road. 60 percent of the trim around the roof was covered in wasp nests. And how close it was to the highway i would get woken up from the traffic. I urge everyone to not rent the cabins.

WE CANCELLED!! We had no information on which cabin we were to stay in and after repeated phone calls all we could get was a recorded message to visit the web site. After several hours of frustration, we gave up and drove 235 miles back home to Texas. If anyone even thinks about renting a Cedarvale cabin, don't do it.

Perfect , great ac

All was good . A bit over priced for what it is but the location was great .

The property needs to be updated. I’d compare it to a nice camping. Good water pressure in the shower. However, cabin needs to be maintained and cleaned better. The AC window units need to have the filters cleaned if not replaced. I left with sinus issues from the filth. For the price it should’ve been better.

This is our 4th year here. We love our quiet secluded little get away!

I have texted and tried calling about this. Please issue a refund due to not communicating the lockbox code and me being forced to make other arrangements

Nice place to stay. The AC unit in the living area was leaking though.

It was a very old property, not well maintained. Can you imagine a property without soap in that? There was no soap in the bathroom. The coffee maker was full of mold. The beds were small, and one of them had loose springs and ants on them. My daughter refused to sleep on that. Flush wasn't working in the bathroom. The kitchen hasn't any dishes/utensils or disposables. The closet door was broken and fell on my daughter when she just touched it. The TV wasn't working. We are really unhappy after paying a big amount for just one night. I won't recommend anyone.

Everything was great

The AC works great! The bathroom was okay. The refrigerator/freezer was cold and clean. Lots of light fiixtures/bulbs did not work properly. The ceiling fan in the bedroom sounds like the light cover is gonna fall and is so noisy. Cabin is very dated, needs lots of work.

Nothing mice toilet would not work holes in floor smoke alarm didn’t work . We amply stayed one night We had to go buy sheets for the bed.We are. Reporting to the Better Business Bureau. We have pictures They would not refund us the money for the second night.

Quick Get-a-away

The cabin was a cute and comforted place to get away for a couple of days. We enjoyed being able to relax. The cabin is secluded enough from traffic and we saw some deer and raccoons. The bed was super comfy, the shower a bit small, but works great. The burners on the kitchen stove need attention, a couple of them don't work. Bring dishes, utensils, cooking essentials.The porch/deck needs work...several boards need replaced and the railing isn't secure. Could be a hazard if you have kids and they lean on the railing. The A/C works well, water pressure is good...Overall, I would recommend staying there.

Everything was great . Place was clean and smelled great . Only thing was there were some ants on the sink but I know how hard it is to keep insects out in a rural area .

The property is older but very clean and in good condition. There is no office on site and calls to management go to voice message after 5pm. We arrived at 6pm and it took a while to figure it out. No text or email from them earlier that day. They did return my call after a while.

Good for the price, a few minutes drive to the place I visited, Turner Falls. What i did not like at all it was that the fridge, the dinning table and floor were so dirty. beds and bathroom were clean. The person who pick up the phone when i was having problems to open up the lock box to check in, she was so rude very unprofessional, she hanged up the phone on me. In general the cabin and outside if cabin was ok!

Cozy cabins

Cabin was very cozy, very spacious for 2, although there was no oven or plates to cook, and there was a tv yet it was not subscribed to cable so couldn’t use. Would stay again just be more prepared.

Cabin- ( tiny house) was super cute! All new inside and honestly didn’t expect it to be that nice! Will definitely be back!

It’s very apparent that they are not putting money back into the properties. The lock box was terrible to deal with, it’s stated in multiple reviews and they give a paragraph on how to open it instead of buy new ones. The toilet flush valve was extremely old and sticks to the point my children couldn’t flush by themselves. The shower head was calcified and sprayed in a crazy pattern. The fridge barely worked our food was almost warm and the freezer was cold but not freezing like it should be. For the price you’d think there would be things in the cabins but no they provide bedding and enough to wipe and wash your self. That’s it, nothing more. Nothing to cook with or on, what’s the point in having a stove?? A grill outside but no utensils for it. 2/10 stay save your money and go stay in town don’t waste your time and money on this place because it’s clear they don’t care about it.

Cleanliness

I looks like no one dusted, clean A/C UNITS, light bulb was out, satellite was out, and the window seals were not clean if dead bugs. I always bring an interest block just in case this happens not a huge issue with no TV. I took before and after pictures of property and called the person in charge to let them know if the issues. I wouldn't mind staying here again but make sure things are clean and dusted for the next individuals staying at the property. Very comfortable beds and love the mattress protectors.

Nice location. The lockbox was very old and hard to open with my freshly done nails. It took about 25 mins to open. No internet or cable. The cabin was very dated. A hotel would have been a better and cheaper option but the experience was nice.

Right down the street from Turner Falls. Great option if you do not want to stay in the park.

Quiet place

The office had great communication.

First I was told if I pay extra I could check in early prior to my reservation so I get there 3 hrs early and call on my day and I'm told no I can't cause the need to clean it first so I basically waited no one came at all than there's no utensils or anything at all to cook with the sheets on the bed are the wrong size so the never stayed on there's no WiFi basically it was a tent with electricity

Spiders and spiderwebs all inside the cabin there were mouse droppings all over the beds both of them stuff splattered on the wall. The couch had multiple cigarette burns and was nasty. We did not stay in the cabin into the closest town and got a hotel room that place was absolutely disgusting.

You get what you pay for… half of the lights didn’t work, the recliners didn’t recline, they said the tv wasn’t working because of satellite but the truth is the message on screen was that the bill hadn’t been paid. This also impacted internet so we could only stream with my hot spot. There was no soap, no dishes or glasses for drinking. Very basic and they had a bag on the mattress so it crinkled all night.

The property is in real need of maintenance. They seem to do the bare minimum, yet continue to rent them out. -Loose boards on deck. -Bathroom door handle fell off. -Screen doors in bad shape. -TV set up doesnt work right. - Couch was too gross to sit on without covering it. -Broken chairs at the table. -Broken lamp And the list goes on. I wouldnt stay at these cabins again or recommend them to anyone else. Also, when we hadnt received the code to get in by check in time, I called and the lady that answered was not helpful and was rude.

The cabin is ADORABLE. The heat was on when we arrived which was much appreciated. I had to call after check-in time to have the code sent, but it’s fine.

Great cabin. Very quiet with a nice view of Fall colors. Be aware that the drive up the hill is gravel and there is one area you must keep to your left (going up) to avoid a huge crater. It was the same last year when I rented the same cabin, and it DEFINITELY needs to be repaired. Otherwise, I loved it and will stay there again!

Good place to stay. The road up to our cabin was rough in one spot and the facility had a coffee pot but no mugs or styrofoam cups to drink any coffee in.

A perfect little getaway

Overall, the cabin was clean and the property owner was responsive. We had a few frustrations. 1. The shower kept clogging up and was not draining properly. You bssically had to take a shower and stand in the dirty water. 2. We could not have a fan on without having the light on. We tried multiple ways and even contacted the owner but was told there wasnt really anything they can do. (FYI- there is no one on site. Therefore, if you have issues, they cant take care of it immediately. You have to wait until they can get to you.)

the property needs to be clean, first thing i did when i got there was sweeping the entire place and sprayed for bugs , the refrigerator don’t work very well , the microwave is old and broken pices,

The location was great. There was not a ton of traffic through the area and it is close to Turner Falls. The view of the sunset and also the night sky was great. The downsides were that the kitchen was infested with ants and nothing could be left on the counters. The shower head was broken and would spray water all over the wall. The bathroom faucet would leak water out of the base of the faucet when you turn it on and leak over the side of the sink onto the floor. The toilet was not mounted to the floor correctly, so it would rock back and forth. Finally, the deck and railing are not in the greatest shape. Overall, the place just needs some maintenance.

The shower wouldn’t drain and there was not a working cable unit on the tv. Very limited items in the kitchen and not at all kept up. The property didn’t really match the description on the add

Well, we liked them a lot, only that the air in cabin 7 and 10 in the room did not cool

It was quiet and peaceful and near swimming areas and you were near the mountains which is a plus. I did like that we had cable, enough area to sleep in and working ac. What I didn’t like was not great internet so I got signal but it was off and on the whole time we were there.

The cabin was really cute but the were no dishes or coffee cups to use. The air conditioning was too small for as hot as it was and the satellite did not work. But every thing els was fine.

Beware, you will not be able to get back or out of your cabin when the line forms to get into turner falls. It was hot. The window units were not sufficient in the summer heat. There was black mold,it didn't look like maintenance was kept up on the property

This place was very nice and clean. Our only issue was the lack of basic kitchen supplies. We needed an oven pan, a couple of cutting knives and cutting board, a bowl, and plates. Also a little soap and shampoo for the shower would have been nice. If those issues were fixed I would definitely come back because the space was very nice.

We loved it and had a great time! My kids were fascinated with how the Cabin looked,they said it gave them scary movie vibes 😊. It was our 1st time ever camping and it so was fun. Not to far from Turner Falls which was good and fun for the family. We would totally do this again. And plan the stay in the same cabin.

Property was more than adequate for my 9 year old son and I. The AC didn't really overcome the heat until about midnight, but it was brutally hot so that's probably understandable. Parking was non-existent, so we parked around back at the top of the mountain near some other cabins (trailers) that didn't appear to be in use.

We were in cabin 3. It was a nice looking place but not that well cleaned and the doors looked rough. The floor was not mopped or the shower clean. Dead bugs on the windowsills and on the ground. The sheets were clean but that’s about it. It would have been nicer if the floors were mopped and cleaned a bit better. Probably won’t stay there again.

Not what we expected - but better in a history kin

It is a beautiful cabin with a lot of history . We had cabin 10 so it’s not what the picture showed but for my elderly parents it was perfect ! It was so clean ! The porch has a few rotten places but nothing we could not move around . If you are looking for a nostalgic place to stay this is it !

Cabins need to be marked at road if you come in at night could see cabin numbers from the road at night had to walk and look for it with flashlight and air conditioner didn’t work first night ask for a refund for that night but haven’t heard back from anyone but they did get it fixed for the second night

I didn’t like anything the property was rundown and it was a rat hole cabins weren’t cleaned and satellite didn’t work had a broken window and porch was falling apart and a death trap wouldn’t recommend to anyone

I normally leave excellent reviews but in this case others need to know. I booked cabin 8. Looking at the photos and other cabins i had confidence in the property. Communication was ok and I found the cabin luckily and when I asked for directions while on the property i was told that there is a map on the website vs just letting me know where i was at. I was staying with my wife her mom and her moms friend. My wife suffers from asthma and as soon as she entered the cabin her asthma acted up so bad she could not go back in. Once I did some research i found that the ac filter was filthy and there was black mold under the sink and on the cabinets. During this i also found some small roaches. I had to take some of the bulbs out of the fixtures to get all the lights to work. (Have pictures to back this up). The cleanliness of the facility was sub par at best. We had to rent another hotel room for the night so we could continue our vacation. We will not use this property again.

Very nice and spacious cabin and there was an amazing view from my cabin.

Cabin was great for a little getaway. We’re a family of 4, so the two beds were enough. Kitchen table was big enough for endless card games. It was too cold for grilling but haa a full kitchen.

Clean and comfortable. Views are great, easy access to property.

These cabins were so cute and so homey. I would most definitely come back!

This was an excellent property (#16) - loved the tiny home feel and the upstairs loft. The porch lights didn't work, nor did the satelite tv receiver, and there were about 2 pieces of kitchenware. With that all said, it has a great view, excellent turner falls access, and everything you could ask for. Will most certainly return!

We have stayed at two different Cedarvale Cabins, 12 & 14, this month and both have been great. Super Clean, easy check in, owners were easy to communicate with and accommodating, porches are the highlight and great for relaxing. We like 12 the best, it was roomier and has a huge back porch and is a actual small cabin perfect for 4 people. 14 is a new, spacious, well appointed tiny house with a nice porch as well. Bring your own lawn chairs, utensils and cookwear. We will absolutely be back soon.

Quiet and pretty area. Not bad for a cabin but not a five star resort either. Good for what it is and for a getaway.

Good morning there were a few concerns about the cabin. There was mice feces on the bed linens, in the corner of the floor in the bedroom and also stuck on the paper towels in the kitchen. This is unacceptable because per your website says your facilities are clean and sanitary. Also the bathroom sink was stopped up (eventually drained but very slow), and there were multiple stains on the walls throughout the house. Lastly, the stoves front left burner did not work after 20 minutes of thinking I was warming up food it was still cold.

The only thing I liked about this property is the location. It was not clean, floor and shower were filthy. The picnic table and outside grill were both held up by rocks on one or two of the legs. The oven door was broken, we fixed it. I paid a lot of money for this cabin and was very very disappointed. I will not be back and I will tell everyone I know not to go there.

Fought ants all weekend, no curtains upstairs, found a half eaten oreo under the couch, cookie wrapper in the entertainment center. TV streaming service didnt work but we didnt spend much time in cabin. Also, one of the AC remote for the living room did not have batteries in it and the living room had a couple scuff marks on the wall. I dont want to be charged for these things we didnt do.

When I got there, the cabin was all dirty, has spider webbs from at least a week, there were a lot of dead insects around the floor, including roaches, I get is normal to have one or two but they we at least 15, fridge was not working, light was on and off.. we ended up leaving the same day!!

The cabin was nice and modern. It just wasn’t very clean. The bathtub had hair in it. And there was barely any towels. Also the water pressure was little to none.

Cabin 8 is a -10🙁

There was mold in the bathroom, the shower head leaked, the whole place was dirty, the beds were not comfortable, no step to the porch, there is no driveway/parking

quiet and clean. wish there had been more pots and pans and extra blankets, towels. chairs on the porch are needed also. also, tv in 19 didn't show connection.

We had a blast at Turner Falls and after that we came to the cabin and enjoyed some s’mores. The cabin was clean but needed to be deep cleaned.
