Nice beach area

Loved our room ground floor overlooking the beach. Friendly staff and pool great temperature. Nice hot breakfast. Good price! Would stay again

Nice clean room with an excellent view of the sunrise while enjoying breakfast.

We went there at the very end of the season to have a get away for our birthday weekend. The Staff was so friendly and went above and beyond our expectations. The waitresses sang Happy Birthday to me in the restaurant and even though they were out of the cookie dessert I wanted, made a delicious donut dessert which was so good, better than some of the donuts from cider mills by us. Also loved the fruit water containers outside of the pool area, got some nice refreshing water every morning before we headed out on our excursions, very nice touch. Would love to go back in summer when things were all open( as far as shops and other restaurants)

I have stayed here several times over the last few years we will always stay here when we come to St. Ignace. The food is very good I recommend the Brussels sprouts and the shrimp and Brie. The pool and hot tub are 24hrs and there’s a very nice view of the beach for sunrise and sunset. The restaurant starts the firepit on the beach at night which is also really nice. The staff was all very friendly, kind, and helpful.

The property was absolute beautiful, and you cannot beat the views, even for November it was gorgeous. The wait staff at the restaurant were amazing as well! Free breakfast is always a good perk, and it was probably the best hotel breakfast I’ve had. Lastly, I recommend the jacuzzi room.

Great resort at a great price.

Clean, nice resort on the beach with nightly bonfires. Liked that there was a restaurant on site. Comprehensive free breakfast. Chairs and table on the balcony. It is also a bargain. Well worth the extra couple minutes drive from downtown.

Great friendly check in staff, clean rooms, loved the balcony on the water. Highly recommend!

Clean, updated and beautiful access to beach.

We had a wonderful two night stay. Upon arrival, we had an issue with our TV. Within a few minutes someone came by to fix it. Staff is friendly and accommodations are comfortable. The warm breakfast is much appreciated. We had a room facing the water and loved the view and sunsets. The bonfire every night is a great touch.

Stayed at Breakers resort while in the UP for a wedding. Price was fantastic, view of lake Huron/Mackinaw Island, was great. The sun rise would have been also but was cloudy that morning. Free breakfast was very nice. I will syay again when in the area.

Property was clean and nice. No mildew smells like some others in the area. Breakfast was great! Eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, waffles, cereal, muffins, yogurt. Pool and hot tub were nice. Beautiful view of water. Small restaurant with a smaller menu on site. That's a bonus. Beds were comfy. Staff was friendly. Would definitely stay again

Beautiful view and loved the bonfires in the evening. Plan to return next Fall. The only reason I did not give 5 stars for the property is there is not enough parking 🙃. We arrived on our second night to zero parking.

Nice place to stay!

Nice accommodations with nice views; we had a great waitress at The Club. Breakfast was better than a typical continental breakfast. Concierge River was amazing! Pool is the only reason they don’t get a 5 star rating. Packed with unattended, unruly, inconsiderate kids who drove several adults away. Pool hours for kids is too long; should be 9P not 11P. We would book again. (Does not have a view of the bridge.)

Everything was truly beautiful, clean, staff was friendly and helpful, dinner in your resturant was incredible! The morning sunrise was unparalleled, parking a breeze, breakfast buffet delicious with plenty of food and was replenished, welcoming staff, beautiful views from the restaurant and you walk right out onto the beach with your morning coffee! Also the bed was the most comfortable bed away from home that I've ever slept in and the jacuzzi in our room was absolutely incredible after a long 10-12 mile hike through Pictured Rocks earlier that afternoon. We watched the sunrise up from beautiful Lake Huron - from our bed! What more could you ask for!

Wonderful sunrise views from the room and the beach area. Easy access to the ferry to Mackinac Island Showing some signs of age but room was clean and comfortable overall a pleasant place to stay while exploring the area.

Love this place and definitely recommend it. The room was great, the food was amazing and the staff was excellent. My only concern (and it wasn’t really much of a concern) was the lock on the door didn’t seem very sturdy.

Most of the staff was accommodating. Breakfast was decent with very good food during the evening. Room must have stayed empty for awhile since we found 4 spiders in the room. Screen door was broken to get to the outside.

Great Accommodations

Loved our stay at Breakers Resort. The room was lovely, breakfast was delicious, and we loved the setting right on the beach. Watching the sun rise over the lake each morning at breakfast was a real treat. We also enjoyed our time in the evening around the campfire visiting with other guests. Staff were kind and helpful. Highly recommend!

Very nice 3* hotel. Nothing fancy, but staff was super friendly and lots of amenities. A roaring bonfire despite iffy weather. Very nice buffet breakfast. 24 hour pool and hot tub.

We love staying at Breakers! Love the beach access and friendly staff! The free continental breakfast is also delicious and saves us money. The shuttle to the Mackinac boats are convenient also

Did not like when you took the elevator up to your floor that you had to go down 8 stairs with all your luggage. Otherwise everything was great!

Tbh this was a better hotel than the $400+/night we stayed at at Mackinac Island. Breakers Resort was clean, friendly staff, good food - free breakfast, available iced water by the lobby, awesome view of the water, and very soothing sound in the evening. I highly recommend this hotel. I expect to stay there again.

Ocean front view. Bed comfortable, shower was fair. Property is very dated and is long overdue for refurbishment. One of the reasons we chose this property was the beach bar/restaurant-only closed one day of the week: TUESDAY, which happened to be the one night we stayed. I did not see that on the property description and should be prominently displayed.

Not what I expected

Be aware of reserving "Lake View" rooms. Some of the rooms are only partial lake view with the premium price tag. We arrived on a Sunday, was told that all the other "Lake View" rooms are already occupied, and that no one occupying the room was leaving that day. I asked what the trick is in actually getting the Lake View room and was told there are none, you get what's available when you check in. I was also told that no one has checked in for the day. I feel like I'm being lied to. I asked if there are any Lake View room being vacated the next day, and was told they would have to check each room but they wouldn't do that for us. I guess I'm asking a lot. Service wasn't extra ordinary. The hotel was clean, but it's not really saying much as the whole island is clean and well maintained. There's an exercise facility with weights and cardio machines. I asked to get a late check out and was denied. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

This hotel was in a great location, the staff was friendly and so helpful. The onsite restaurant was delicious along with the free breakfast. There is a great hot tub and pool. Watching the sunrise over the lake was an added bonus.

Friendly staff, beautiful grounds and easy parking

The only downside to our stay was two tour buses full of noisy senior citizens and their handlers. Kept us awake late and filled the breakfast room to overflowing the next morning.

Amazing veiws , could have stayed there for weeks . Just to see the sunrise 🌅 over the lake every morning. Front desk staff were nice & helpful . Comfortable bed, felt safe & relaxed . I do not recommend The Club (restaurant) for dinner as we could not get in , too few tables . Recommend BC pizza excellent bread sticks & sauce 😋. However the free breakfast hit the spot .

We enjoyed our stay but the weather was around 50 degrees and the doors were open in the indoor pool so it was freezing. The tv didnt work in our room and neither did the phone.

The view was amazing. The food incredible. Had a great time! Will definitely be back.

Breakers Resort was a beautiful property with lakeside views and comfortable rooms. The bar and food was amazing from the connected restaurant. We will be staying here again!

A Great Lake place

The grounds are beautiful and so was the room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food and service in the restaurant were great

This is the second time I’ve stayed and enjoyed the waterfront room. The amenities are lovely, particularly the breakfast and pool. The concierge service is convenient, but the staff member gave the impression we were a nuisance. It was unfortunate but in no way negatively impacted our overall experience.

Had a room with balcony overlooking the beach. Beautiful sunrise. Bonfires on the beach every night. Breakfast included was very good. Nice crowd and very friendly and helpful staff. Would highly recommend.

We stayed 2 nights and our room was very comfortable. The breakfast was good and the shuttle to the ferry terminal was very convenient. We would stay again.

This is the best kept secret in St. Ignace. Staff, cleanliness, atmosphere vibes — excellent!

The building, itself, seemed a little bit on the older side, (maybe built in the 80s or 90s - maybe) and there were some minor cosmetic things like some little scuffs on the wall, but I believe all the rooms were lakeside, and it seemed very clean. Breakfast was mostly amazing. I did have a rock-hard biscuit, but everything else was very good, and they provided real utensils - not plastic. The breakfast area, which also serves as their bar at night, overlooked the lake as well.

The view from the rooms was gorgeous. We looked over Mackinac Island. Our room was clean and loved the floral decor. The Club had good food. We loved the fire pit at the club. The bonfires were lit late and no one attended to them so they went out.

Beautiful stay! Great rooms with comfortable beds. Service was outstanding. Definitely recommend!!

I think I thought it would be nicer. Nice room on the lake, but it definitely could use some updates. Also because of add on sections there were more stairs than we like. For example, on each floor, the add on side sections were a few steps higher or lower. Hard to move your luggage around, although they did help us when we came in. The bathroom was older, sink faucet really hard to turn off and on.
