Very unusual building with intriguing history! Lovely view. Hostess Roxanne was really helpful and looked after our requirements whilst we were there. It is quite ‘far off the beaten track’ so arranging transport during your stay( beforehand)is recommended. Rooms clean and tastefully furnished, nice towels and good shower/ toilets.
Breakfast was included in the price package But was not provided. Internet connectivity was poor initially. I understand that this was post Hurricane Beryl. We enjoyed our stay and would love to return as conditions improve on the island.
Simple paradise.
We absolutely loved everything about this place and Roxanne, Ingy and Naka were the best hosts we have experienced on our many travels. Beautiful natural surroundings and views. Roxanne restaurant (the old slip way) is well worth a visit - superb food and ambiance. Also paradise beach.
The chef at the property is top tier! Another plus is the accessible beach on the property. Overall it was a decent place to stay.
Nice cottage just a short walk from a small beach with occasional local visitors. The walk into Hillsborough is easy and a colorful immersion into the local scene. The breakfasts and dinners at the roundhouse are exceptional! Great place if you’re looking for a slower paced vacation!
The restaurant/chef was to die for! The food was perfectly cooked and delicious!! Very cute and quaint little stay near the sea!
Great stay! Amazing food! Staff are wonderful. Views to die for and direct access to the beach to go swimming. Would definitely go back!
Always stay at the Roundhouse when visiting Carriacou
Explore the north
Pretty place, nice little beach. Great access to North peak which is a lovely walk.
Everything you would need for self catering. Excellent restaurant on site (Wed to Sat only)...very reasonably priced. Very flexible host and friendly staff, everyone happy. Direct, easy access to the sandy beach, loved it.
This property is rather isolated and Boogle is a 40mins walk to Hillsborough. We read the Expedia details and it implied it was in Hillsborough. Ok if you have a car or scooter, but not easy to rent. Staff in kitchen very friendly.
Stayed there for 4 nights. The Mango cottage was average, it would have been wonderful if everything there related to a Mango theme! The bedroom was comfortable expecially the A/C - made to a pleasant rest. The kitchen was clean but 'tired' there was also a cooker, but no gas clinder to operate, thanks for the amazing breakfasts thought since the restaurant was closed until further notice. The bathroom and shower were fine with constant hot water, but there were 2 round holes left open and the mosquitos, bugs, flies, lizards, were constanly in the bathroom, I had to cover the biggest hole with a towel! The gardens were the best colouful and maintained, at night there were no lights in and around the resort a hazard if you are there alone! Listening to the sea was amazing. THE BEST BY FAR was the HOUSEKEEPER the reason to go back! 😃 😊 Second Best......The local people very welcoming 🙏 FINALLY........Host thanks for the long ride back to town.
Beautiful place to stay. Wonderful breakfast and very helpful owner and staff. They might want to sell water as well as soda and beer. There is a store down the street but if you want to have dinner you need to go into town. Otherwise, I highly recommend it.
What a charming getaway. Off the beaten path, but close enough to everything. The food is excellent, and the service commendable. Waking up to the sound of the waves, and the chirping off the birds is a wonderful departure from the honking of horns or loudness of people. You feel like you’re alone in the Garden of Eden, without numerous people milling around.
I loved my stay at the Bogles Roundhouse. I loved the unpretentious elegance of the place, the tranquility of it location on the bay, and its host, Roxanne, is fabulous. The cottage we stayed in impressed me with its effective, efficient design and was absolutely comfortable. Take advantage of the beautiful grounds to meditate in the morning and enjoy spectacular sunsets in the evening. Breakfast by Roxanne, highly recommended. Definitely will be a go to should I again need accommodations in Carriacou.
Roxanne and Alisha run a beautiful spot at Bogles. We were lucky to have two dinners there (shrimp, tuna fresh from the sea! And lamb shank) and the included breakfasts were beyond what we were expecting. Our cottage was perfect. We loved the nearby hikes to Anse la Roche and the high North areas, and Hillsborough was a short 25min walk (or 10min bus!) away. The pelicans soaring by just added to the beauty!
Beautiful, authentic property, clean and lovely. The restaurant is FANTASTIC, Roxanne is the best chef on the island, hands down.
Little peace of paradise. A hidden gem.
Absolutely paradise! We will be back and will stay much longer.
Nice walk to beautiful beach. Great restaurant on site. Comfortable room with kitchen
It is a beautiful place surrounded by flowers and near the sea. Staff is very helpful and the food is excellent. There is easy access to other beaches if you like walking or alternatively you can take the bus.
Idyllic island retreat
We had a most enjoyable stay, warmly welcomed and well looked after by Alisha. The position of Plum Cottage was idyllic, overlooking the ocean through the shrubbery. However, unfortunately we had no hot water throughout our stay due to a defective heater. It was replaced on our final day but still kept on tripping the breaker. This was highly inconvenient but ameliorated by the kindness of the guests in Mango Cottage who let us use their shower. Although the owner and chef was abroad the dinners cooked by Alisha were delicious. Breakfasts were simple and tasty but we would have appreciated more fresh fruit. We loved taking sundowners on the lawn, watching the pelicans diving as the sun set. We would highly recommend the cottages at Bogles Round House and hope to return one day!
Roxane, the owner is a BIGOT. We asked some polite requests, including the timing of laundry service (which didn't match the time collected) and for a 4:00 AM taxi to the ferry terminal. She took it upon herself to book a much later taxi and left this message over WhatsApp: "I'm sorry to say, but your behaviour won't be admired by which ever so called God you follow." GROSSLY UNACCEPTABLE! Never stay there! Don't eat at her restaurant.
Wonderful place fora quiet, relaxing stay. Beach area is not postcard material, but is private and useable. Use their kayak to paddle over over to Anse la Roche beach for an amazing, picturesque beach. Owner is friendly and helpful.
Welcoming, friendly and cozy
Bogles Round House was hands down my absolute favourite hotel stay. I loved how organizers and logical the room was and the way it flowed was really nice. Loved having A/C and a TV in the room, the included breakfast was always delicious, and the food at the restaurant was five star. The staff were super kind and courteous and the grounds were very well kept. Next time I’m in Carriacou, I’m staying at Bogles around House.
A beautiful boutique stay
This place is so unique and beautifully designed and everything is spotless. We came during a global pandemic so unfortunately we were not able to experience their restaurant as we'd heard that the food there is excellent. The beach is a short walk, it's not huge though, I think rising sea levels have reclaimed some of it and we came in the tail end of winter so the sea is a bit rougher. Carriacou is a small island, so it's best to come during the week as things shut down over the weekend. Getting to town is easy and reasonable by bus, but you can walk there in a out 20-25minutes. My only complaint was that our mattress was a little uncomfortable, just needs replacing as it dipped in the middle, other than that I was very happy with everything, the hosts were really helpful and welcoming, I'd stay here again if we ever revisit the island.
Paradise
Great place to stay with d3licious food.
Our room was very clean and it had everything we needed. The only thing that we were not happy with was that the fridge did not cool very well and the small freezer did not freeze. We tried to freeze our water bottles before going out for the day so we could have cold drinks during the day but the freezer would not freeze. A staff member did come and take a look and made an adjustment but the freezer would still not freeze anything.
This property is conveniently located above 2 beaches. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You must have the lobster and other delicious meals prepared in the restaurant on site. There are mosquitoes, so I would advise bringing insect repellent with you.
A warm welcome, perfect location, quiet and peaceful. Although out of town easy to get around on local buses. Food and service excellent
Roxanne is such a great host very helpful. We had a very pleasent stay there. Thank you!
Peaceful and beautiful setting and lovely food in restaurant.
Perfect in every way. Beautiful setting, wonderful hosts, excellent accommodation. Not for those who want a resort but for those looking for a carribbean hideaway on the most delightful unspoilt island.
This place was so special and amazing. It’s like a hidden gem. As soon as we stepped foot into the property, we felt this sense of calm and tranquility, like we were at a secluded yoga retreat. Our cottage was lovely, with an open air kitchen and lounge area, and our own individual rooms. The grounds were beautiful, steps away from the beach. But most of all, the restaurant. What beautiful, lovely food! Literally brought tears to our eyes to have such delicious food being served so close to us. Definitely the best restaurant in all of the islands. We loved every dish, and we loved the service that came with it. We felt like part of the family, and would love to return for a longer stay. We will be back for sure!
The cottage we stayed in was air-conditioned and incredibly clean and quaint. The round house restaurant had THE BEST dinners I’ve ever had in Carriacou and the continental breakfast was the best I’d actually had at any hotel stay. A small beach is very close by and the sunsets were fantastic. The staff of the hotel were incredibly kind and it was altogether a very relaxed island experience. I WOULD definitely stay again! PS: if you don’t have a car the island bus 11 goes by the front road to get to Hillsborough!
Nice (short) stay - unfortunate timing
I stayed at the Bogles Round House for only one night in April 2019. The cottages are lovely, and the property is beautiful - in fact Carriacou is absolutely gorgeous. The difficulty was, of course, that I was there on a Sunday - so the restaurant was closed on that day, as well as on the next day (because, I believe Roxanne was preparing for a wedding) - it would have been great if she/the Bogles management could have sent an email saying that we would not be able to have a single meal at the Round House (apart from breakfast) - which really was one of my motivations for staying at the property. In general, our host seemed a little disengaged - but that may have been because she was busy or because we were staying only for a night - either way it did not detract from the stay.
People come here for the food, which is excellent. The accommodations are fine - nothing fancy, but adequate. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the other guests were fun to get to know!
Our whole stay was completely relaxing but the restaurant and the food was superb.
Had two amazing weeks at the Round House. Very quiet and restful. Food was excellent and staff wonderful. Very easy to get around the island. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Lovely accommodation and beautiful island. Can’t wait to go back.
Bogle's Round House
It was beautiful, I had a nice little cabin, and the food was fantastic. Taxi prices are outrageous on this island but Bogle's Round House is a great place to stay when you're there. Mosquitoes were really bad, though.
The location is just next to a working farm with pigs and there were quite a few smells. The rooms are very very small, beds very small, far too small to be comfortable. Dinner is good but expensive. Breakfast was included but very basic with just cereal and toast. There was a graduation party there on one of the nights of our stay with music within 10 feet of our room, very noisy, and nowhere to go to escape it. I would not return and could not recommend.
Absolutely perfect stay
Secluded location with what feels like your own private beach just a few steps away, beautifully charming and quaint buildings that are well maintained, hosted by Roxanne and her family, who are gracious and accommodating. Don't skip the food! Roxanne is known to cook up the "best on the island," working with local ingredients available by the day, homemade ice cream flavours (try the nutmeg if you are lucky enough to see it on the board), with reasonable prices by Grenada/Carriacou standards. A definite recommendation if you are looking for a peaceful stay overlooking the ocean.
Cute clean safe
Very friendly staff, very clean very very good food, as for the comfort I feel lime cottage needs a fan in the living area.
A delightful rural retreat with easy beach access
A charming hostess welcomes you to her idyllic and unique comfortable well appointed gites overlooking the sea. Set in delightful grounds peacefully away from any distractions except the soporific calming waves tumbling on the shoreline below this is a little gem. A few minutes from Hillsborough town in an unspoilt yet easily accessible location the Bogles Roundhouse also offers superb cuisine in their restaurant which forms the stunning centre piece of this small complex. We stayed only one night on our all too brief visit to Carriacou.....next time it will be much longer!
Simple yet fulfilling
Lovely and quaint retreat. Pleasant owners and staff. Fresh and simple breakfast. By the beach and just a peaceful family oriented operation.
Idyllic except for the dogs
Idyllic- beautiful location, wonderful food, pretty cottage with excellent facilities. Amazing food in the restaurant. I’d planned to stay 3 weeks but everything was ruined by the 2 large boisterous dogs who kept me awake at night with loud barking and appeared wherever I was sitting and reading pushing their noses into me and fighting together. I had to move early because I got no sleep. On the first few nights one dog slept a couple of feet from my bedroom and I literally jumped out of bed when he barked. I was sorry to leave because everything else was perfect but I got no sleep at all.
Stay here, you will love it!
Charming property with great outdoor space and beautiful ocean views. We stayed in the lime and mango cottages for 1 night. I recommend staying longer than that if you have time. Pictures accurately depict the accommodations. Do not miss dining at the restaurant onsite. All five of us were impressed with the creativity, flavor, and portion size of our meals. Not only the best meal of the trip, but the best meal I have had all year (which is saying a lot since I traveled to Europe this year and ate great food on that trip). Location is a bit remote, but that's a positive for us. It's quick and easy to get to (short 15 minute local bus ride). I recommend taking a day trip to Sandy island. It is a truly special place. The host can coordinate a water taxi from the property, but does need at least 24 hour notice to accommodate.

This is a beautiful location right beside a black sand beach.
