Lovely respite

Nice outside area with views to the desert and Coober Pedy "skyline"(mounds from opal mining). Maybe not everybody enjoys such view, but I do. Excellent swimming pool.

Stop over in Opal Country

Room and facilities good. Little space for toiletry bag in the bathroom. Noisy pump? starting and stopping all night kept waking us up. Also pesky flies but found the spray!

Modern accommodation, friendly staff, beautiful area to stay in.

Hot water sketchy. Shower - no pressure.

Didn't like the fact that the tile floors, whilst cleaned, felt sticky to the shoes when walking over them. Could possibly be the cleaning agent used and not being cleaned with clean water afterwards.

Loved the location the ease of collecting jets after hours. Brilliant.

Very disappointed in the room, the mattresses were horrible and everyone woke up in pain, the place wasnt clean, there were bug droppings, or something in the main bed, 1 occupant woke up with a rash all over her body which got worse after every night, there wasnt a quilt cover on the quilt, it was way too cramped for 4 adults. The surrounding areas were lovely. But the actual accomodation was actual terrible..

Noisy Room

A stopover night between long days of driving. Room well equipped. Unfortunately heat pump unit fan outside our bedroom window for adjoining room (we didn’t use ours) made sleep impossible. Checked out early so couldn’t pass feedback onto reception. Stains on couch a bit off putting. Tiles in bathroom could go with a good scrub. Stayed one night previously and didn’t have the noise problem. Our tip - don’t stay in Room 5 if you need to sleep.

We had a very nice stay

Open fridge water poors out because it is turned off. Dishes are not cleaned properly. Bed is uneven. Dirty under sofabed. Microwave dirty up top and on plate. Dryer filthy. Washing machine filthy. Shower filthy. I will never let me and my family stay there again!

Great place to stay for the night

The unit we had continually had bugs crawling around. They looked like small cockroachs. We sprayed with provided spray. However every few minutes more would come.

Watched the sunset while cooling down in the pool was spectacular. The room was clean and modern. Wonderful stay.

Lovely place to stay. Watching the sun set through the palm trees from the pool was a highlight. Close to the highway and a few minutes drive from the rest of town. Nothing is in walking distance, you will have to drive to get supplies. Full kitchen was great for cooking.

Loved the stay. Friendly staff who recognised us on both directions of the trip. The Roadhouse is the absolutely best place to eat - fantastic.

A lovely spacious apartment. Great facilities although we didn’t use most of them as we were passing through. Sofa bed not as comfortable especially for older kids. Main bed was fabulous.

A very attractive and well maintained park, fantastic camp kitchen, fire pit area and pool. Gardens and landscaping were great. The apartment we stayed in was absolutely fantastic.

Good property

Property was easy to find and easily accessible. Set out of units were spacious and good. I was put off by the stains on the lounge someone had left … maybe should invest in some lounge covers.

Upon arrival I didn't feel very welcomed. We were given room K20 which the lounge dining kitchen area is not really suited for 6 guests. It was very cramped with 4 adults and 1 child. Not very comfortable area at all. The cookware is not in a user friendly spot as it's in a very top cupboard so I was not able to reach this (lucky enough my son was with me and able to reach everything for me). The front door doesn't open far enough, it hits the lounge with their design setup. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable to get a good night's rest as unfortunately I could feel all the springs in the mattress, so have a very sore back and hip for our drive home. There's not enough parking for one car per unit as 4 units do not have designated parking. Please note that the images on their website for the executive king apartment is of the larger executive room. The 2 rooms are not the same in comparison (we have stayed in both). Beware of booking at this accommodation using third party sites as the booking I requested was not the room we stayed in. They also told me that they didn't like these booking sites for this reason. The bed configuration I requested was still available an hour prior to our arrival. I had booked almost 5 months in advance. We will not be recommending to stay here and we will not be staying again.

We were most impressed with the Coober Pedy Big 4. Everything was ex. We couldn’t believe the kitchen facilities in particular. Also v impressed with the bed reading lamps. We arrived lateish but we were sent ex communication on how to get in. We will definitely stay here again.

Really nice rooms

Your in the outback so it was the nicest place there and the pool and place was excellent, the room could have been cleaner I switched rooms as we had one with a cream carpet and you could see the stains and smelt a Bit so switched to one with tiles which was much nicer, I think they should get rid of the carpets as they have to get them steamed cleaned regular and have them all tiled

Great accommodations, lovely layout. Couple of minor hiccups like not being able to open shower door with the bathroom door being shut.

Chris and Ron who manage the property are extremely friendly and helpful. If you are staying in Coober Pedy this is the place to stay.

Amazing place to stay

Love staying here it is nice and quiet and gives you a chance to catch up in washing on the trip as washing machine is in the room

Really good sized apartment which had everything we needed (& more) for our overnight stay. We have a 6month old who just slept in the king bed with us but there would have been enough space for the porta cot in the room if we wanted to use that. We had a quick dip in the pool at 8pm, still a lovely temperature. We didn’t realise until too late but there were pool towels provided in the cupboard. We had to do a late check in- I called the property that morning and it was no problem at all. Instructions given on the phone & by text were easy to follow. And an early check out also easy. No issues with either. Would stay again

Comfortable suite, nice bed, warm room and a gorgeous pool although we didn’t partake of it. Close to everything and enjoyed our meal at the big Winch which was recommended as the SP restaurant was closed unfortunately.

Terrible no service

Modern and very clean 2-bedroom apartment. There are 3 air conditioners in lounge and bedrooms, it is very convenient. Luxury bathroom with front load washing machine and dryer, highly recommended to stay here.

It’s a pity we only had 1 night here

This was a really pleasant surprise in Coober Pedy , our room was large clean and comfortable with great amenities like a washing machine , oven etc

Nice place but a short walk from town

I was just in Coober Pedy for one night while backpacking. The Resort is a 15 min. walk from the bus stop (and a little scary at night/early morning), but the rooms are very clean and nice. Plus the staff is very friendly!

Receptionist was accomodating when incorrect cabin was assigned to my family. Found that new cabin was very dusty, sofa bed was very uncomfortable felt like we were sleeping on springs. Definitely not a room for 2 adults and 2 kids

A great place to stay, with those extras e.g washing machine and cooking facilities. The only draw back was no aircon in the bedroom

Loved it! Met other friendly travellers there. Top quality and the best nights sleep we had on that leg of the journey. We will be back.

Beautiful apartments. Has everything you need. Great condition. Very modern. Only downside, but not even that bad, was the fold out couch. I have slept on better ones, however that wouldn’t deter me from booking again.

Oasis in the desert.

Our room was a oasis in the desert. New interior consisting of seperate well stocked kitchen/lounge including dishwasher and washing machine and seperate bedroom and bathroom. Only thing missing was some patio furniture to sit on at the the back of the unit.

Excellent accommodation. Modern and clean one bedroom apartment with all mod cons. Plenty of room to eat and relax after a long travelling day. Could not fault the property.

The bathroom needed a good clean grubby

The room was awesome. Very modern, comfortable and had everything we needed. The bed was really comfortable. The view outside our back door was stunning - the opal mines in the distance, a windmill in the paddock behind our back window which was slightly lit up by a semi close light and the stars on a clear night! The only improvements I'd suggest is screen for the shower. It didn't seem long enough so water went all over the bathroom floor and parking could maybe be more clearer. We were near a corner room, and got blocked in. Even with those 2 issues, it was srill amazing 5 stars from us and this is where we will stay again next time.

The furniture was in really poor condition - all the vinyl chairs were peeling. There were very limited facilities.

This little Big4 was ok and we stayed in a room which seemed to more be a motel than a big4 classic type room, still it was as per photo’s and descriptions. Some damaged fly screens and mozzies in entering but otherwise it was fine.
