We had family Christmas gathering, were able to utilise mini golf, volleyball, walk to beach and beautiful walks. Staff friendly and supportive. A hidden gem!
Lovely park but we found our accommodation very cold even with the air con going. For us summer would suit better
Fun family Holiday park
A fabulous place to stay our family enjoyed all the parks activities on offer and the amazing walks we enjoyed from the park. When the frizbie landed on the cabin roof it was no trouble for a park worker to climb up and retrieve it.
Pet friendly cabins with covered verandah and lockable gates so that our dogs were 'contained' under the verandah, on the decking. :-) :-) For us humans, super clean and tidy. Fabulous bed and wonderfully comfortable bedding /manchester. We'll definitely be back!
Great stay comfortable clean and dog friendly
Dog friendly, clean and tidy. Perfect
Kids loved the lake!
Great place to chill and relax!
Great lakeside location. Cabin was fairly standard but comfortable.
Great location & facilities. Perfect for families, lots for the kids to do. Very friendly staff, only complaint is the hot water only lasted 5 minutes for a family of 4
Accommodation was nice and clean. Park grounds were well presented and laid out. Disappointed the power key had to be inserted to have power for the cabin, and the front door key could not be removed from the key ring, so every time we left the cabin and locked the front door, all the power to the cabin turned off. This meant our food in the fridge was no good to eat at the end of the day when we got home. Freezer food defrosted and milk went off. We weren’t happy!!
Very pretty and well looked after
Friendly owners, with lots of space for the kids to explore. Accommodation was clean, tidy and comfortable. Great kids activities and walking distance from town. Will stay here again.
Beautiful views, lovely park, sparkling clean
Lakeview villas are fantastic. Super clean and well maintained. Beautiful views of the lake from the park. We loved our stay. Only issue was the playground desperately needs new softfall mulch.
Very clean staff very good
Great family park had mini golf free volleyball good play ground. Very clean park staff were very nice and nothing was to much trouble. Also had a coffee van every morning great coffee too.
Great place to set up a base for a few days. We will be back
Family friendly and plenty to do. Very welcoming also
Very clean Good quality cabin Great position Only con was there was very limited free wifi
The park is very nice and our villa has a beautiful Lake view . Very clean. All staffs are very friendly. Only the bed rooms are very small.
Lovely setting, nice walk into town. Had everything we needed.
Beautiful place very peaceful and the lake is amazing
Loved the shower head, felt like I was at a disco. Venetion blind in kitchen could do with a clean.
Lovely cabin, clean and perfect for families. Lots of bike tracks around the park
Very peaceful and beautifully maintained property
Great Location
Great location, beautiful Lake views, very clean. Loved the different lights on the shower head. Friendly staff
Very nice place to stay, will definitely be back for longer
Nice location, friendly service, comfortable cabin.
The caravan park is situated next to a lake, with much to offer by way of activities, nature, and they even hosted an outdoor cinema for the guests! The staff were pleasant to deal with, and the cabin I stayed in was in great condition, clean, and well designed by way of room size and bathroon allocation. Highy recommend for families and anyone going on a road trip.
Good stay
We enjoyed our stay very much, the staff were friendly the park was very nice and relaxing, the only thing I would improve is the bed as it was a bit hard. The area as a hole has so much to offer I would highly recommend staying at Sambell Caravan Park Beechworth
The cabin had views of the lake and was ideally located for bush walking and playgrounds for the kids.
Not a long enough stay
We only stayed for one night, but would love to have stayed longer. The cabin we stayed in was warm, clean and comfortable. The location was great and the park looked lovely. Next time we will make an effort to stay and take time to enjoy more of what was on offer. The service was great too, very helpful and friendly.
Nice sourandings and quiet with clean premises, big cabin
Peaceful location close to all town facilities. Cabins were clean but a bit cramped for a family of five. Not impressed about having to pay extra for linen and towels for our three children. Feel considering we paid for peak time prices it was not very fair.
Liked the natural surroundings. Cabin was comfy and cosy. An easy walk into town. TV could have been bigger.
I had never been to Beechworth before, didnt really know where it was in Victoria, so I picked a place to stay. The Lake Sambell Caravan Park was so clean, quiet, there was always a handiman out in the garden tidying up, the office staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. If I could rate this place higher than 5, it would be a 10/5. I will definitely stay there again. Beautiful place, beautiful owners.
Pleasant stay
Nice cabin, facilities and staff. 15-20min walk to the attractions and shops.
Great place to stay in Beechworth
Beechworth is a great place to visit, lots of history in the area and I would definitely recommend The Asylum Ghost tour. The town centre is old world and there are some really good shops to visit and interesting sites to see.
Spacious and well resourced.
Beechworth is a beautiful place, lots to see and visit. The history of this place and surrounding areas are definitely worth exploring.
Lovely setting, friendly staff
We had a lovely 3 day stay and thoroughly enjoyed the park. Lovely location with the lake and town. Our unit required a minor repair which was attended to immediately.
Lovely place to stay
Beautiful in autumn. Cabin tidy clean but very cramped with kitchen table in front of couch and bedrooms small for a 4 person cabin. Not enough hot water for showers.
Will be back!
Wonderful place. Beautiful views. We went for the village bonfire which was lovely! The cabin didn’t have an oven however. The ONLY down side since we cooked our own meals
Sad to say that we were only able to stay one night, as Lake Sambell Caravan Park was beautiful! The staff were friendly and helpful, and the cabin was perfect for what we needed. And the price was fantastic value!! Will most definitely be back!
Comfortable ensuite cabin close to Beechworth cbd
Great location, great weather and great company combined for a very enjoyable stay.
Close to everything around Beechworth
An excellent place to stay for a family. Safe and close to everything.
Beautiful by the lake
Staff are friendly beautiful caravan park great location, right next to a lake and is only about 20min walk to the Main Street
What a beautiful park. We only stayed overnight but had a very comfortable and relaxing time. Only problem was the wifi didn’t work but it was nice to unplug for the short time we were there.
Nice clean cabin, next to lake with lots of trees around. Very relaxing
Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful place to stay
Comfortable and clean place
Nice place. Very comfortable stay. Easy checking. They have a small shop on site for basic amenities and the town is not to far either
What an ideal location
My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights and were very happy with the cabin the location was excellent right on the lake...lovely walk into town and lots of gorgeous nature to take in..the locals in town were very friendly Can't wait to go back again Brian.
Beautiful place
Would like to have stayed longer but was just a place to rest during a long drive south
Comfortable cabin for couple and 2 children
Staying in Beechworth in August is always going to be cold, especially arriving just after 7pm and in the rain...but the reception helped us with our late arrival and our comfortable cabin didn't take long to warm up. Electric blankets were invaluable, although the main heater certainly kept us toasty warm. Our cabin overlooked the kids playground and lake...but unfortunately the weather didn't allow much opportunity for our kids to use it... oh well, we'll have to come back in Summer.
Nice plenty to see
Beechworth city was great so much to see need at lest another week or two to see it all Love come again
Good value family cabin
Nice little cabin with all the facilities for a family.
Stunning property
What an incredible property. Friendly helpful staff. Everything we needed and more. Will be back!
Very handy location
Very handy position. Easy walk to town. So much to do a see around Beechworth.
Holiday park
CleAn well maintained holiday park in s great location in Beechworth great clean cBins first class facilities in a lovely location handy to town and reasonable prices recommended
Good
Helpful, clean, quiet and well kept and maintained.Had a good stay.
Great location
Very small cabin. Bedroom very small with queen bed and no room to move. Wouldn't want to stay here with kids as very little space anywhere. Location was great and the lake is very pretty. European wasps everywhere.
Ok for the price
Stayed in an ensuite cabin. The cabin was basic and sparse with a small TV and kitchenette. The air con worked well and was nice and quiet. The shower was tiny (like a closet) but worked ok. There was no free wi-fi but I believe you can pay extra for it if needed. The blanket on the main bed was old and had def seen better days. The strangest part and definitely a negative point was the parking arrangements - for these cabins you park outside the neighboring cabin rather than outside your own cabin. This means your Neighbour's car is parked facing the main area of your cabin so that they are looking directly into your cabin when accessing their car and are shining their headlights directly into your cabin when arriving/leaving. It also means your neighbour's car blocks the most direct access route between your own car and your cabin - you have to walk out and around your neighbours car to get to your own - would be a pain when packing/unpacking the car in the rain. It would be easy to fix this with a bit more thought.
Great stay.
The villa we stayed in was spotlessly clean and had all the mod cons required. It was very comfortable.
We had a really great weekend! Kids had a ball- beautiful park- beautiful town
Clean and practical.
The cabin we stayed in was clean and well equiped
Beautiful View
The staff were very nice. The view is beautiful. The rooms even through a little dated were very clean and a great price. Will definitely be back again.
Good Value
Very clean with excellent facilities - even egg cups ! which you normally don't get. Stayed same cabin twice. Highly recommended.
Nice quiet location
Great weekend away in Beechworth for the Yackandandah folk festival. This provided a nice enjobable location as a base for the weekend.
Nice Cabin
Lovely relaxing weekend stay. Children and pet friendly. Only 1 small comment is we found the mattress was a bit to firm otherwise excellent.
AweAwesome relaxation in awesome surrounds
If you're interested in a quiet stay a short walk away from quaint shops, beekeeping and honey making tours and some interesting gold rush and bush ranger history in beautiful surrounds and only a short drive from amazing waterfalls then this is it!
highly recommend
stayed twice within 2 weeks was so peaceful and clean
Beautiful peaceful spot
Right by the lake, can walk right around it. Amazing sunsets over lake.
Nice clean cabins and a beautiful place. I had planned to stay in Chiltern near the Hume and I'm glad I didnt.
Friendly and helpful staff. Great location.
Pleasant and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable cabin and amenities. Great location. Plenty to do. Would recommend it to anyone.
convenient
great location very quiet well maintained
Overall a nice place in pleasant surroundings. However we booked a cabin for 4 adults with 2 rooms and had to pay extra to have the second bed supplied with sheets. Also the quality of the beds left a lot to be desired. They are both very old and need replacing as getting a good sleep on them was difficult. If you got near the edges of the bed you were likely to fall out.
