I don’t stay at hostels often, but Bedbox and its wonderful staff made it easy to get comfortable. The place is very clean and is cleaned multiple times a day. The location is great - all of central Athens and the acropolis is within a quick enjoyable walk (20 mins tops). The staff are very helpful and went out of their way to make sure I was happy. Constantina is amazing! Highly recommend for a backpacker/hostel experience.

Danisa (sp), the front desk/coffee bar extraordinaire was amazing!!! She was a fountain of information and her recommendations were on point. I had a great meal and was able to get some shopping done. I was given information on transportation options for heading to the airport in the middle of the night. She made me an iced coffee that was better than Starbucks. The room was nice and quiet. The locker was huge and I was able to store all my luggage with plenty of room left. The location gave me dining options and shopping options. My only suggestion is to have the option of early check-in or at least have the option to be able to grab a shower. After traveling over 24 hours it would have been nice to get a shower and head out for the day. I would have paid extra for the privilege. Overall, it was a great experience. I would definitely stay here again. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The place was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable and I was able to get some decent sleep.

One of the nicest hostels I have stayed in. All of the staff were super friendly, helpful and kind when answering questions. The hostel it self is in a good location within walking distance to pretty much everything (including the metro). The rooms were clean and the beds super spacious too. Overall a really nice place to stay (:

Great Hosel

As a solo 46F traveler that has been staying in hostels for over 20 years, I have to say Bedbox is one of the best! Great location, very clean, several small hang out spots from the basement to the roof, comfy beds with curtains!, large storage boxes with locks provided, and decent bathrooms with 3 clean showers per floor (towels for rent). But it is the staff that really makes it! Constantina was so helpful, remembered my name and was a genuinely nice host. The other staff members (mother and son) were super friendly and fun, and generous with a free glass of wine and ouzo. There was also a free pizza party one night. It definitely isn't a party hostel, but more of a family feeling where being social happens naturally. Great advice for restaurants and sightseeing also by the staff. Can't wait to return to Athens and stay here as a jumping off point to explore the islands.

the lovely receptionist went out of her way to organise a new ferry to milos for us when our was cancelled less than 24hours prior to leaving time. they answered any questions we had and were very nice

Solid Hostel

Room was comfy. Love curtains for the extra privacy. Staff were very lovely. Bathrooms were kept clean and kitchen was clean. No issues.

This is a great place. The employees are really nice. Nice social atmosphere but not a crazy part scene. Will meet lots of travelers. They did my laundry for 6€. Only issue was the bathrooms. Nowhere to put clothes when showering besides a wet bucket.?

I’ve stayed in a number of hostels before and this is probably the best one yet!! For location, it’s in a very convenient spot near Monastiraki station, and within walking distance from many attractions in Athens. I felt safe walking back alone at night. As for the hostel itself, it was very clean, beds were very comfortable with privacy curtains and with thick blankets for the winter, and there were nice spots to relax and meet other travellers. The kitchen was also well equipped. The staff were also very very friendly and helpful, and made the stay even more pleasant!! Had a really great stay (-:

Everything is good.

Bedbox was great. It was very clean, with free coffee, tea and cookies 24/7. He staff was professional and helpful yet fun and engaging. Being a narrow building some of the rooms have just 2 bunk beds separated by thick courtains to give more privacy. The beds themselves were comfortable and big by hostel standards, also featuring a privacy courtain, individual light and spacious safe box (lock included). There even was a spacious balcony to relax over coffee or a drink. The location was good, fairly close to Syntagma Square and Plaka. All in all a very good deal for the price. Thanks Bedbox!

The location is perfect, the decoration is very nice and a perfect choice of music to chill in the hostel. The staff were super friendly and hospitable Beds were comfortable and good space to keep ur luggage. Highly recommend

Perfect hostel. Clean, comfortable, well-located, equipped with kitchen and living room. The best part is the staff!!! So genuine and kind! Definitely be back when in Athens!

Privacy curtains are nice. Mattresses were thinner to other hostels but still comfy. Good cheap coffee and tea. Fun environment downstairs with their setup.

This property is central to all attractions .. the facility is clean and the staff is very helpful.. you won’t be disappointed staying here.

Hidden Gem!

Room and the overall property was very clean. My room had a huge balcony and sitting area. Staff is very very friendly and helpful. Short walk to attractions. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby.

Amazingly helpful staff, one of the best hostels!

Incredible staying experience at Bedbox Hostel. Facilities are very clean and well-organised and the lounge is amazing for meeting people and share conversation. The location's perfect for reaching major sites around Athens and most importantly, the staff members are incredibly helpful and friendly. Every night I was offered complimentary drink and the staff went all the way to help me retrieved my lost USB.

Modern, good staff, great coffee, nice beds.

Great, modern hostel in a central location. 5 minutes walk to a metro station. Walking distance to most tourist sites. Close to restaurants and bars. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They speak good English. The coffee (available for only 1 euro) is better than most coffees you get from a cafe. Free ouzo on Sunday nights is a nice touch (there are other activities/freebies every night of the week). Bedrooms are good, with proper privacy curtains and comfortable mattresses (my only complaint would be that the bedroom door and people's lockers were very noisy).

Cool spot close to the Acropolis

Spent our night in Athens here and had a great time. Staff and guests were very welcoming and lively. Great atmosphere and close to major attractions. Find a 24 hr parking lot beforehand if you are driving in.

One of the best places I've stayed in my life ^-^

I had an amazing time at Bedbox, the hostel is easy to find, very close to Monastiraky square, restaurants, bars and everything you need. The staff are so nice and kind, the place is very clean and there is great enviroment and vibe to it. WiFi is working great everywhere, great beds, lockers, very nice rooms. One of the best places I've stayed in my life. ^-^ * I've read a lot of comments stating that there's a bad neighborhood not far, and it's true, walked there in night alone (accidentally). It's a little creepy but heavily monitored and policed. Also Omonia square area is a little dodgy, would recommend to travel in day time if you're solo female traveller.

Good hostel in a great location

This hostel was pretty good and the location can't be beat. The beds have privacy curtains and each person is provided with a lock to one of the huge lockers in the room. The couple of not so good things about this hostel is that they charge you for towels and the bathrooms are a bit tight (each floor houses 12 people who share a bathroom with 3 stalls and 3 showers). All in all it wasn't a bad stay and I would consider staying here again.

Solo in Athens

I stayed there and I liked it a lot. The staff were friendly and helpful. Not sure if i’ll return to Athens but I will definitely recommend it to a friend.

This was my first hostel experience and I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean. The location is perfect-within walking distance to the metro, emou street for shopping, the Parthenon and Monastiraki for more shopping! So close I could go back to my room to use the bathroom mid day. Coming from someone that doesn’t usually stay in hostels I would definitely recommend!!

By far the best hostel I've ever booked! Highly recommended for females traveling solo! The location is super convenient and safe. The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable. There is laundry, computers and a bar. On top of that, they have the best staff. They are locals and never hesitated to help. I was sick and they took care of me as if I was a family member. After a month backpacking solo, I can say that Athen was my favorite city, not only for the beautiful views and its history, but specially because of the staff members of this hostel. Richie, Monica and Aphrodite, thanks for making my time in Athens so special. I miss you, and I hope to be back soon!

Nice hostel in an amazing location

The hostel is modern and clean, in a WONDERFUL LOCATION super close to the Acropolis. Within walking distance to everything you could need nearby, and the street felt safe even at night. With ample sized lockable storage available in the shared rooms, there is lots of space to keep your stuff safe while you are out exploring. The staff are very kind and helpful, and answered all of my questions easily. The rooms and bathrooms are newly updated and kept very clean. I thourghouly enjoyed my stay.

I paid for a double bed as i arrived someone was already sleeping in it. Two nights later i came back to a hostel and couldn't find my stuff. Later there was another misundestanding as someone else came and told me my bed is hers.

Great service, clean, plenty of space in the lockable storage for all my stuff. Bed was comfy and the curtain around the bed was great for privacy. Bathrooms are close to the rooms, but I did struggle with keeping my clothes dry while showering. Walking distance to the main attractions and to the trains for the airport.

Better than other hostels!

Bedbox was great with separate floors for men and women. Lattes and drinks on first floor for small price! It got a little loud at night on the main floor below my shared room, but I really liked the privacy curtains and lights for each bed. Great with earplugs and sleep mask. Better than other hostels by far.
