Molto, molto bene
I stayed in Antica Dimora for a lovely February week-end with my mother and we both enjoyed the hotel itself, breakfast time and especially the help provided by our hosts.
The lady that checked me in did not show me anything other than my room. When Andrea arrived for the evening shift however, he showed me the terrace and common room as well as gave me the breakfast times, and a map! Andrea was excellent! You are lucky to have him represent your hotel.
Great Location
Unique little place with helpful staff. Very close to most sites. Breakfast was very good.
Special Holiday
Great location, no parking but go lucky to find a spot to unload and used valet parking 21 Euro. The room had ac but no way to control temp so room was a little warm. Close ...walking distance to alot of major attractions and market which was a huge plus. Security was very good, breakfast was excellent.
Charming and friendly! Beautiful view! Breakfast server not very friendly.
Perfect and highly recommended!
It's impossible to overstate how lovely it was to stay at Antica Dimora Johlea. The room and common room and the rooftop terrace with those views...just amazing. Highly recommended. We went to Venice, Florence, Rome, Bologna and Milan during our trip and in my opinion Florence took the cake and it was in no small part to the room and the location and the friendliness of the staff, etc. Thank you for a memorable stay!
Highly recommended
Great hotel. 15 minutes walking distance from the centre of Florence. Great staff to and good communication between guests and the staff some days ahead of the stay.
Lovely stay in Florence
This hotel was abolutely amazing and really made our trip to Florence. It is in a very convenient location, both the train stations and the local attractions are within a 15 minute walking distance. The roof terrace was absolutely brilliant. You can easily spend an evening up on the balcony with a nice glass of wine. The 'Honesty Bar' was a great touch. Fridge and selection of spirits etc. are made available to guests, you simply select what you've taken and it is added to the bill at the end of the stay. The stay was lovely and all of the reception staff were warm and welcoming. If I had to make any suggestions for improvement, the room was quite dusty.
It is a very small hotel. If you are expecting a Marriot you will be disappointed. If you want a clean quiet place, you will be happy. The breakfast is good. The staff made restaurant and taxi reservations for us. It is walking distance from all the tourist sites. Would I stay there again? Yes.,
Short vacation
Great 6 room property. Staff went out of their way to spoil me. Rooftop has good views and is a relaxing space. Rooms include a smart phone for maps and calls at no charge. I would stay again on a return visit.
The bathroom shower could be better with more lighting, stronger shower curtain (waiter leaked), i think grout could be cleaner for a newer feel. Towels could be thicker and softer.
Sisters traveling to florence
I really enjoyed my stay, the staff was extremely friendly, the room was clean and very comfortable, the common areas were very welcoming and relaxing, and the breakfast was great!
Great b and b
The room was just darling and the rooftop patio garden has a panoramic view of florence and you can hear all the church bells while u enjoy a glass of honor bar wine Good breakfast..great staff..
The staff were so generous and accommodating - we arrived at 7pm on Xmas eve and they stayed late to meet us on arrival. (Note - you must arrange to check in after hours.) Shower had great water pressure and hot water. They gave us a free upgrade and we had a little sitting room upstairs in our room. The rooms were gorgeous - beautiful floor tiles, canopy bed. And the lounge had 24/7 snacks and coffee/hot chocolate. The view from the rooftop of the duomo and city is stunning. The area is quiet, and since Florence is relatively small, it is a quick walk to the tourist area. A great value and friendly staff!
Fabulous B&B! Charming room (air conditioned) decorated in traditional Tuscan style with Florentine textiles/colours and dark wood. Excellent en-suite bathroom. Good Continental Breakfast with a range of dishes and drinks. The Reception is staffed all day and they were very friendly and helpful. Apart from the Reception area there is a Breakfast Room and Lounge, all decorated in the Florentine style. Last but not least there is the Roof Terrace with views across Florence and the surrounding hills. We stayed for five nights and it was perfect. Pros: Perfect Location - quiet yet only 10.mins. walk from the Duomo Lift from the Ground Floor up to the B&B Bijou - only six rooms Beautifully decorated - full of Tuscan character Air Conditioned throughout Roof Terrace with views across Florence and the surrounding hills Friendly, Helpful Staff Excellent value for money Cons: None!
A little jewel in the heart of Florence.
We had a fantastic stay from the very start. The hotel is beautiful, especially the rooftop terrace. It's spitless and breakfast is delicious with coffee, tea and cake available throughout the day. All of the staff are very kind and helpful. It's a really relaxing place to stay in a great location.
Fantastic stay, lovely warm friendly reception staff, particularly in afternoons, where the lady was very helpful with recommendations and bookings. Boutique hotel and good breakfast (although could be better spread for a vegan travellers). Lovely rooftop. Would recommend to anyone and would most definitely stay again. We felt at home and treated it like our home, feeling comfortable to do whatever we wanted as opposed to a regular hotel. Many thanks for making our stay memorable. Also love the honesty bar concept.
Doesn't look like much from the street and you wonder if you are in the right place but you get inside and it is amazing. I wish I could have stayed for longer than one night. The room was beautiful, the staff very friendly and the view from the roof terrace is spectacular.
We enjoyed our stay. They made us feel very welcomed. Gave us very good tips on how to get around. We were very sad to leave as we felt like it was home in Florence.
Perfect!
Eleonora greeted us upon arrival, got us situated in our beautiful rooms & gave us delightful dinner options. We enjoyed breakfast on the rooftop patio each morning, what a way to start the day!! A wonderful place to stay with friendly helpful staff, dreamy rooms & a great location!
Super homely comfortable clean hotel
The Hotel position, staff, facilities, and fabulous roof terrace were superb and we would recommend any visitors to Florence to stay here. Small, homely and boutique style were exactly what we were looking for.
Two nights in Florence.
Friendly helpful staff, quirky rooms, good location. Would recommend to anyone visiting Florence.
Perfect birthday break
Excellent location just a ten minute walk to the Duomo. Comfortable room with everything you need, although the pillows are very soft and don’t offer much support. Typical limited breakfast. Staff were amazing. So friendly and keen to help and offer restaurant recommendations.
Exactly what I was looking for
Perfect stay. Only small glitch was wifi sometimes was iffy, but would not hesitate to recommend to anyone to stay here. Loved it!
Decent Place, Good View from Roof Deck
Decent place, Good view from roof deck
Good value
A bit off the beaten track but very walkable to all museums and churches. Excellent staff provided great suggestions about places to visit. Rooms could use some updating.
Had the "feel" of Florence
Very enjoyable and good location. The room was lovely and the roof top deck was so nice for morning and evening views. The receptionist was very helpful, but the other staff was not very friendly.
Hotel was absolutely lovely, with very helpful staff. It as tucked away, which made it a challenge to find, but beautifully secluded once we got there. Lots of information to help us with our brief visit to Florence!
Welcoming, cozy, clean, as pictured
Front desk woman was so inviting and welcoming. I was happy to move to Antica hotel after being unimpressed by my original hotel. Just as pictured and described. Being only a 10 minute walk to train station was great for day tours.
Lovely bed and breakfast in quiet area of Florence
Antica is a lovely B&B, with a very personal touch. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Good breakfast on the roof deck with views of the Duomo. Would highly recommend
Perfect location, walking distance from the station and the most of the main attractions. The room was lovely, clean and very quiet, and the bed very comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful, and the roof terrace is something to be seen. Highly recommended
Very unique and intimate hotel. Excellent location and very friendly staff.
Boutique hotel in convenient part of town
Our room was like an art museum ! Staff very helpful - took extra steps to accommodate us!
Brilliant
What a find. This place is brilliant. Well worth seeking out.
city gem
Beautiful, cozy, antic hotel in a heart of Florence, with delicious breakfast and very helpful staff. Great location and and good price for the value.
Great room, awesome location
This was an awesome room in a perfect location. Wonderful staff and this hotel has an awesome rooftop terrace. I would definitely recommend this room to others.
quiet hotel close to the centre
The staff are very helpful with restaurant bookings and travel tips. The breakfast is great and also the roof top terrace.
Delightful, charming hotel
This hotel is bursting with charm. Everything about it is cleverly designed to make staying there delightful. I highly recommend Antica Dimora Johlea
The most perfect hotel in all of Italy!
Everything about our stay was perfect from beginning to end. First of all, the staff are truly wonderful -- so friendly, and so helpful, even when I needed to see a doctor they did everything they could to help me find and communicate with someone. Next, the hotel and rooms are beautiful -- there is attention to every detail from decor to hospitality. I enjoyed the carefully selected art and flowers and silverware and books. I appreciated the coffee/tea selection available 24/7 and love that they offered biscotti and liqueur - such a nice touch! Breakfast is fresh, flavourful, bountiful and beautiful. And, if you happen to have any allergies or need to supplement your meal in any way, a fridge is available for use (i.e. I kept my non-dariy milk there to use with coffee in the morning). The beds are super comfy, the hot water and water pressure in the bathrooms are perfect, and the towels are perfectly fluffy. The location is also fantastic. Firenze is small, so it's easy to get around from just about any location, but the situation of the hotel at the northernmost tip made it just far enough away from the tourist bustle to feel like you were staying somewhere nicely secluded. And, speaking of getting away from tourist bustle, the rooftop terrace is stunning!! Gorgeous 360 views of the city, the mountains... ah! So beautiful! If you aren't already sure, I LOVED THIS HOTEL!
👌
Was short but good, friendly stuff, only spend one night
Delightful boutique B&B
This is a delightful boutique B&B in a convenient location in north Florence. Very friendly and helpful staff. Roof top terrace with views towards the Duomo and the hills. A cosy lounge full of art works and art books, with drinks facilities on hand. Good breakfast.
Lovely small hotel with charming furnishing and nice staff. The best we stayed in our 3 week trip in Italy. Within walking distance of the major sites in Florence.
Classy and characterful.
Location was away from centre (by just a few mins walk), so conveniently close to the sites and station but not swamped with tourists (like me). Helpful friendly receptionists. Striking, characterful room with very comfortable bed. Rooftop terrace had good views at dusk. Quite a classy and informal feel.
Wonderful Venetian Get-a-Way
We had a wonderful stay - Barbara was so helpful with tips about what to see and where to go. Our only issue was the television did not work properly, but that really did not matter since we really did not want to watch much TV. A lovely stay in a beautiful city.
Quiet area. Great view from rooftop terrace. Short walk to central areas in Florence.
Hotel was clean and rooms were nice. Breakfast was fine. The location was a little far from the old town.
Friendly little hotel - somewhat out of centre.
Friendly reception staff, and nicely furnished rooms. Room was really small. Location was in a quiet neighbourhood - 15 minutes brisk walk to centre of town. Roof terrace pleasant - although somewhat different from the airbrushed pictures...
It’s great. The hosts were always prompt to help. They communicated with us via WhatsApp since even before we arrived. It is clean and close to the main attractions (20-25 mins to the farthest one). We really recommend it… many thanks to Florencia (one of the hosts - she was very helpful to us).
アットホームな感じで良かったです。

Wonderful place to stay in Florence. The staff go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Impossible to get this kind of service and personalized attention at a full sized hotel
