Simple checkin

Felt unsafe looked like a place for desolate people

The first room that we were given that was supposed to be ready was literally torn apart. The second one that was “ready “ was still filthy. We were tired and they didn’t have any other rooms so we stayed. Nothing was clean. The freezer and fridge both had nasty food in them and it took 2 hours for them to bring us bedding and 2 towels ( for 3 people) there were roaches everywhere. You’re better off sleeping under a bridge somewhere.

The individuals that own the place are doing a great job. It may not be dive star hotel but I wasn’t looking for that. When I went to check out, it was pouring down rain & the house cleaner offered me here umbrella and then proceeded to help get the other stuff down stairs for me. I recommend this place. I didn’t care if nothing really matched or I’d it was outdated, the thing is , I had no problem with anyone there. You all did a hell of a job. Thank you Pa I think they are trying to stay open while also renevating while staying open. Anyways, keep up the great work 💯

Unclean room. Bugs flying around, broken electric sockets. Would never stay at this place again. We booked at the last minute, but it was a bad decision.

Had to ask for bar soap, no trash pick-up or fresh towels & linen within 4-day stay

Not the worst place I've stayed...but far cry from good. First off no continental breakfast like listing states. No toilet paper, no soap, no shampoo or any of the simple little basics you generally expect even with a cheap motel. Bed side lamps didnt have bulbs, so only option was over head lights on or off.

As soon as we walked in, I noticed the broken AC unit. I called and asked for another room, but not before I saw a roach climbing up the wall. The staff accommodated us another room and as soon as we step foot inside, we noticed 3 roaches and a flying bug in the room. We immediately checked out.

it so so dirty we did not stay sheet all riped bugs dirty and smelled real bad waiting on a refund cancelled our whole trip and drive 3.5 hour back home

Should have known what I was in for when the sign at the night check-in window said, "no refunds after ten minutes". I dreaded opening the door to the room on sight. Inside it was visibly infested with crawling roaches. The attendant was gracious enough, probably having gotten used to the refund requests. Expedia handled it wonderfully, but let's be truthful...this hotel shouldn't be listed on this site to begin with.

I've always stayed only time I ask get my money back only got 30 of it and when ever I ask manger like I post to never got it back so I should have one free night room I had didn't have toilet seat or anything tv didn't work

The driveway is nothing but huge craters , barely able to get to room . Beds were uncomfortable. Ice machine was across a parking lot and was unplugged. No breakfast as advertised

Lots of potholes in driveway bathroom not clean do not recommend anybody stay in there. Only advantage is that it’s cheap

Room was dirty. Pictures look nothing like the property. No hot water. No coffee. Drug dealers in and around the property.

I liked having the restaurant on property. I didn't like the no phone in room or the little packages shampoo or the tiny bar of soap. The carpet was moist and actually stained my soxs.

The room smelled and the overall appearance was not reflected online. Appearance was very deceiving on the internet compared what you get in real life! :(

It was nothing like the pictures. Not the cleanest place. Bathroom needs repairs.

Very noisy and loud. Yelling vulgar language in middle of night. 16days, room never cleaned or given clean towels or any amenities of any kind. Dirty, unfriendly, unsafe atmosphere. Patroled nightly.

The overall atmosphere was dirty. People screaming and fighting every night. Police there everday for something. Booked 14day stay no one ever cleaned room, provided clean towels, toiletries, trash bags. cleaning lady knocked on door 1 out of all days with a roll of toilet paper. No phones or clock in room. Older lady I assume she and her husband run the property yells at you everytime you try to speak with her. Younger girl (daughter)? Was very nice. Rarely the water would get hot. I ended up having to extend my stay for 2 more nights and I paid thru expedia to use my credits which they are very unhappy about. Chose this hotel because they were pet friendly. Have 2 cats charged extra $75 a week for. Now they say it's $30 extra per night for the 2 days want $60. Very unprofessional and nasty about the extra 2days I received discount for going thru app.

I didnt get clean sheets or towels til 5 days in. I only stayed a week. Hot water lasts 3 min. Basically cold showers. Lot of loiters

Trap house .... avoid!

Drug deals and prostitutes outside our door. Smoke detector pulled down with a bsg over it. Shower curtain brown. Something crawling on us in the bed. Had to keave and get a new hotel. Tried to call management to resolve and was meet with complete rudeness . Will be filing for money back

Nightmare

If I thought I could get a room in Galveston I would have but what was left was outrageous. I go to the beach all summer and I’m out of the room all day so I can’t justify paying 250-500 dollars to play or fish. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever been

This hotel should be taken off Orbitz!!! It should not be taking reservations as it was not open! Then Orbitz tells me if I cancel I'll be charged because of non refundable..I went, there was no one there!! It's not like I just blew it off, we had NO power for over 24 hours!! Both the Hotel and Orbitz get bad ratings because I will never use Orbitz again!!

I did not stay at the motel. I drove up to and around it. It was been renovated. It looked nasty. I was afraid to stay. It looked to be an hourly motel.

Excellent service

When we walked into our room we discovered that the commode was filthy and did not flush well. When I brought this to the attention of the manager we were immediately offered another room which we gladly accepted. The motel had seen better days and was a bit well worn but the service was excellent.

New towels please!

What can I say? It was a cheap motel and in desperate need of remodeling and new towels. My towels were worn out and stained. And the exterior door frame had major gaps; had to use the stained towels to fill in gaps to keep the mosquitoes out. But no bed bugs at least.

No heat no hot water to shower

The property is old; while some maintenance has been done facility is shows wear. Bed was comfortable but shower. towels and amenities were substandard.

Stayed one night in business suite very roomy but bring your own soap and shampoo older hotel but quiet and clean.

We spent 4 days. Due to the cost of Galveston hotels. This was a great fit for our family. Meet some great people and saved money. Will definitely be back

Rent by the week

Do not stay here! We pulled up to the room after a long day and had men drinking and playing music in the parking lot as if they where at home. We spoke to the attendant and she stated some men live there and would call the police to quite them down. We felt unsafe and ended up leaving. Waste of my money.

Omg this place was so nasty. Our shower didn’t work and the water that came out of the faucets was brown. There was flies and roaches everywhere.

The hotel itself is good if your into the old country look its just the location its very secluded and not a lot of lighting we got there when it was dark out we had to go around in circles for about 4 times before finding the hotel itself it was clean and tidy the front desk greeter was very curtious and nice but good overall

Easy access, great parking, room was very nice

The one major downside of this property is that there is a train that goes by ever hour, complete with four whistle blasts. This is not the priperty’s fault; but I suspect it will disrupt the sleep of all but the heaviest sleepers.

Nice older stop

Great place to stay if you don't care to stay in Galveston. You are about 30 minutes away. Hotel is older but well kept; nice breakfast served. People are friendly and helpful.

It felt unsafe. Shady place. Run down looking. Hard to find in the dark. The front desk was close and you had to use a "drive thru" to do business.

A $49/night motel that I paid $61 for. No better than a Motel 6. Barely the basics.

Decent place for the price, but noisy

The motel itself is pretty decent, clean, and has been updated recently on the inside. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful! The biggest complaint we had were the parade of trains blaring their horns every hour or so during the night. I don’t think any of our party slept through the night. It’s not the motels fault, but it’s something you should be aware of if you are sensitive to noise at night

The staff gets four stars. Three facility gets two. the room was clean with nice amenities the beds are comfortable. That were a few issues but I'll only mention a few. Mainly there was no interior lock on the door. And the bathroom window did not lock or latch. I wedged a stick to hold it securely. The tub is very deep and slippery dangerous to step out of. My wife actually slipped and fell in the tub. When the AC /heat kicks in it actually makes a noise like an alarm clock. If you are a light sleeper you will get no sleep with it on.

The area was so so so. The train ran all night and blew it's horn so no sleep. The front door had a giant gap so air blew in all night. The hot water came out brown when I first turned it on, and in the morning there was no hot water at all. The continental breakfast was simple. For the price of one night 62 dollars it was just ok. Will not stay again.

Long or Short Stay Available

This facility caters to longer stays, but also books one or two night visits. They are working to update the rooms, which were nice. The bed was comfortable and the rooms large. Loved the large table/desk work area in the room. The hot breakfast on weekends was adequate, but certainly not expansive. The one odd thing involved the bathroom supplies. You were given two towels, but only one washcloth for two guests. Would suggest that amenity be revisited.

Very worn out facility in a sketchy looking area. Not what I expected. Tile floors are okay, but they are not clean. Bathroom area could use total makeover.

At least my room was very clean and well maintained. Hotel location is a bit confused location. Street name and build number are not visible when driving to the destination. Check in and rooms are not in the same build. Breakfast area is a very small room also not in the same build and the variety is very poor. Hotel location is in a very busy and noisy area including railroad trains honking horns throughout the night. Other than that I rested well.

We rented 4 rooms all was in a line like we asked them with no issues they was super nice the whole trip the rooms were very clean and very large ..we didn't have any issues and would be planning another beach trip and will be renting from this hotel agine .

Good alternative to expensive Galveston hotels!

Given the price, this hotel was much better than I expected. There is no view, of course, and the exterior is nothing exciting. However, the people are nice, the rooms are large, clean, and comfortable, and the free breakfast, while limited, was enough for our family. If you're visiting Galveston but don't want to pay the island prices, this is worth considering.

So ghetto we didn’t even stay the night. We stayed for about ten min and left

This was by far the worst stay during our trip. When we arrived our tv was broken. It took 3 hours before repair arrived. A 22 year old female over dosed on LSD that was given to her by her friend. She become combative with police officers that were called to calm her down and get her medical assistance. We finally moved to another room next to a couple that were drunk fighting all night. This hotel is best suited for party animals than for a family. We travel stay in Alvin a lot due to easy access to Galveston, however, we will make sure to never book this hotel again based on its clientele, not the hotel itself. Rooms were good sized and clean.

If your looking to not spend a lot of money i would recommend this place. The whole staff was very nice and did what they could to accommodate us due to the loss of electricity over the Memorial Day weekend. Room and bathroom area was pretty spacious, they had a small problem with roaches but not too bad. All in all we barely stayed at the hotel just needed somewhere to sleep and stay clean.

Nice, clean, and comfortable

The room was very spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable, but the pillows were very thin and had to roll up a few clothes to put under them to get comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and Breakfast was AWESOME!! I will be recommending this hotel to my friends and family who come in from out of town for sure ... Just bring your own pillows!

If it’s a extended stay shouldn’t it have a kitchen that’s why we are leaving

I thought that I reserved a room with queen size beds and only one roll of toilet paper. Other than that it was really nice.

Wish I would have read the reviews on Hotels.com before I booked. Overall it was pretty bad. Was woken up EVERY HOUR due to a train right next to the building. TV cut out EVERY 5 seconds. There was no phone to call the office, called on my cell and didn't get an answer no matter how many times I called. Couldn't get the wifi password. The safe didn't work. Uncomfortable beds, very run down. No info on ice and the office was far from the building. Could have had a much nicer stay for a few bucks more down the street.

Lisa was fantastic on the phone. I was able to check in even though my flight was very late. I enjoyed my stay the hotel was great!

Worst place ever

Place was dated and I was bitten by bugs...I think they were a combination of bed bugs, masquitos, and spiders. I wouldn't stay there again if someone paid me to.

Toilet clogged everyday, usually in the middle of the night with nothing but a plunger and towels to deal with it. Will not be staying here again.

I guess I should not have expected anything more

This MOTEL is nothing that I am accustomed to but it was a last minute decision and all that was left upon searching for a room. The whole building is old but you can see that they have tried to improve the visual of the room with a few cosmetic updates. But the old and ugly still shine through. There was only three flat pillows on the bed and my husband and I both sleep with two pillows at home. That was just an overall bad night. The tub comes at a very deep slope closest towards the drain. Pay attention because you may fall and hurt yourself like I did. I hurt my toes badly. We began hearing the train at 12:00 A.M. as it went on for a great part of the night. No to mention a small dog that barked the entire night. We slept with the television volume a little high to block out the barking. The one faux wood blind in the room is too small for the width of the window. We could see inside from the outside and vice versa. Oh, almost forgot top mention that 3 people were just sitting in the little area where the front desk is. The were seated on the couch. I assumed they were family. That felt real creepy as neither of them said hello or anything but starred. We would have chosen to sit on the couch as the front desk attendant dealt with another customer for like 20 minutes but that was not possible due to the 3 folks that were present already.

Bag of meth found under the bed. Room was nasty. Horrible part of town. Fight in the parking lot during the night. Absolutely nothing good to say about the facility. Checked out due to these conditions even though I had another night paid for. No refund!!!
