Beautiful
Lovely old traditional farmhouse. Comfortable room and good facilities
I cannot say enough great things about this place! We picked it for the idyllic, country location and ended up being stunned by the gorgeous, spacious room (bedroom 1 sitting room masterbath). The breakfast was a delicious variety of homemade jams, local cheeses, eggs from the owner's chickens, and breads. Wish we had planned to stay longer!
Fantastic place to stay, friendly and helpful hosts.
Fabulous farm and amazing individual styled rooms. Alex was a extremely helpful with local information and provided a fabulous breakfast of local produce. We shall definitely be staying here again. Many thanks. Chris and Tracey
We left before staying. The access to the room and terrace was dangerous and inaccessible to anybody with a minor disability with steps up to 14ins high and no railings in front of the door. There was no shower and therefore bathing facilities not usable. There was no working WIFI. The request for dinner was not to honoured and there was no way that one could back to the property in the dark safely.

Brilliant location very peaceful
Peace and quiet.
A great oasis of calm before the trip back across the chanel. After a long drive up from the south this is a peaceful place to spend the night before a morning crossing being only 20 mins from the tunnel. The rooms are styled in a rustic way which we happen to like, the bed was one of the most comfortable we slept in during the trip.
A pleasant rural B and B
The owner was very friendly and helpful and speaks good English. The property is easy to find and has good parking, and secure. The room was very spacious and clean, and had a nice outside area with tables and chairs. Breakfast is very good, with a good selection, with fresh fruit and homemade jams. I had one evening meal, which was excellent. There is a kettle and tea and coffee in the room, but if you stay more than one night, the room is not serviced, so this is not replenished. There is a small refrigerator stroke mini bar, but this is empty.
A delightful surprise
A delayed Chunnel crossing meant a late arrival but Alex was very accommodating and arranged a table a good local restaurant in Wimille for us. Here we were greeted like old friends with Kir on the house. This is normal for Alex Factory, it was explained. After this we spent a comfortable night and enjoyed a good breakfast. Everything about this stay was great which compensated for the earlier frustrations with Eurotunnel.
5 star
Amazing place
Looking for a very Boutique stop-over.
We had a very pleasant stop-over before catching our early EuroShuttle train back to Folkstone. The plans the owner (Alex) has for the farm include an indoor swimming pool and self-catering chalets for 2 & 4 occupants. We had a pleasant dinner at a Brasserie down on the seafront at Wimereaux which is about 10mins drive away.
Hotel not as expected.
Took about 10 minutes to find someone to show us the room. No information given as to breakfast times, wifi or anything else. It didn't help that contrary to the details when booking no english was spoken. Having read a few reviews we had expected to have something cooked at breakfast but that never happened. There was also no mention of wifi not being available. Disappointed as the more recent reviews had all stated how brilliant it was. Do not consider that it was value for money.
Unusual place.
This is not a hotel it is a b and b and is still under construction, I am sure it will be nice when finished however it currently looks like work in progress. It is in the countryside and has a tiny pond with a duck or two and a few donkeys next door (if you like animals). We booked via Hotels.com and arrived on the Saturday afternoon as planned, unfortunately Alex the owner had text our landline to confirm that we were still coming, obviously we did not receive this message and our booked (guaranteed) room was not available on arrival. Luckily Alex let us use the wifi to get another hotel which was 15 miles away and gave us a coffee. I personally won't return as it was too rural for us though we wish him well.
Good location
Sat nav took the long way round but the Hotel was in a nice country location, easy reach of the coast.
Superb hotel in the heart of the countryside.
This is a gorgeous hotel in the heart of the French countryside. The rooms have been beautifully designed, are spacious and extremely comfortable. We stayed as a family with a 2 and 6 year old and the layout of the open plan rooms was fantastic for us. The farm yard animals were a real treat for the us all, the children loved the donkeys, chickens and ducks. The breakfast was lovely, especially eating it outside in the fresh country air. I really cannot recommend this hotel enough, we would definitely stay here again.
Unpretentious, friendly and welcoming
Small scale, family run hotel where even the farm animals help to make you feel welcome. The remote setting is very peaceful and the service is very homely. Just be aware that a donkey's head may suddenly appear at your window. Fear not - far from being reminiscent of a scene from 'The Godfather', this is one of the handful of farm animals that help to make the experience charmingly unique.
Excellent
Beautiful location, Welcoming host amazing room, great breakfast. 20 mins from channel tunnel.
Great escape from city life
A very special place, located within short drive from Calais port. The area is a beautiful green open to fields, the rooms are warm, clean and welcoming, excellent breakfast, you don't need more for a romantic break. Alex is himself very accommodating and makes you feel like home. its clear that he really loves what he created. We also got an upgrade which was much appreciated.
Really nice hotel, clean and very friendly
Good value for money and very friendly and would most certainly return. Breakfast was excellent in the morning
A great alternative to chain hotels
Alex factory is a superb alternative to the 'concrete box' chain hotels. Situated in a quiet rural setting, but still not far from the beach or main roads it was a fantastic way to spend our last night in France before heading to Calais for the return ferry. Next time I think we will book two nights and have more time to explore the local area. if you like the idea of a tranquil break away from the hustle and bustle, this is ideal.
Perfect stop over for anyone!
We went as a family with two young children and had a super stay at Alex Factory! The room was perfect, food was local produce and Alexis was a superb host- we'll definitely go and stay again!!!
Very individual hotel
Quirky hotel, lovely spacious rooms more like a suite.
Family stop over
Very peaceful. Great service. Rooms lovely and clean.
Very very quiet
It's an old farmhouse that Alex is renovating into B&B. It has lots of charm, the design of the rooms is beautiful, it's incredibly quiet - a blessing for light sleepers, beautiful bathroom with sheep peeking through the window, lots of lovely animals around - ducks, donkeys, chickens, whose eggs will be boiled for your breakfast. Alex speaks very decent English and knows a few good restaurants around, and they will even give you free drinks because you are staying with him. Minuses? Well, the big one for us was the toilet - it was right in the room, behind a small door, so doesn't really add to a romantic mood in a couple. And I thought the bed was a bit hard, but maybe it's just me. Overall - a nice place with lots of charm.
friendly sevice
Alex was there to meet us and gave us a choice of rooms, both were lovely. We thought the whole Alex factory experience was exceptional and would love to go back.
A wonderful place to stay for the falmily!
We stayed for one night on the way to Normandie. The Shuttle had been delayed and it was late. Alex was so accommodating (with a welcome of local beer) and we had a wonderful stay. The room was lovely and warm, beds were comfortable. The breakfast was superb - lots of local produce - and it set us up for the day. And of course the children loved the animals! Zorro was just delightful and chickens, ducks and donkeys as well. We certainly plan to go back again.
Easy access via Calais or Boulogne
Ideally situated for a short stay if travelling from the UK. Also a great base from which to explore north-western France. Alex has created a beautiful rural retreat and can provide a tasty selection of local produce, including cheese, soup, fruit juice, bread and beer. Our room had a Moroccan theme and was very warm, cosy and quiet with pleasant views. My only issue was with the bed being a bit too hard, but then I have arthritis. Overall, good value and highly recommended.
Close to Bourlogne Wimeraux and Le-Touquet
Peaceful location with fresh eggs for breakfast and Alex was very friendly offering pots of tea and advice on where to eat etc very good english and superb breakfast would definitely stay their again
Trés bon séjour. Accueil trés sympathique lieu calme propice à la détente et aux promenades.
Heel mooie locatie, vriendelijke mensen, lekker ontbijt, een echte aanrader
excellence
magnifique et de très bon goût
Paisible
Calme et reposant Petit déjeuner de qualité
到着が予定より遅くなり敷地内に入る時に少しトラブルがありましたが、オーナーの方も親切で朝食も美味しく満足しています。
Leuk hotel in een rustige landdelijke omgeving. Op enkele autominuten van de kust.
Great, stylish B&B close to Wimereux
Very nice Bed&Breakfast on an old, quiet and remote estate close to Wimereux and Boulogne-sur-Mer. We enjoyed our stay very much, Alex is a great host and breakfast was very good with local products and self-made jam. We stayed in the family room (L'ecurie) on the ground floor but a bit damp for that reason (old building). It is very spacey and with an open floor plan (which might be a bit too open for some as the toilet is not fully closed to the roof). I will definitely come again when visiting the area but would try to stay in one of the rooms on the first floor which feature in most of the pictures on the web.
rustig gelegen hoevehotel
