very noisy
no sleep All Night long due to very loud guests in other rooms and banging doors going out to shared bathrooms. i would never stay again. shame really because rooms are ok at a decent price but not worth no sleep.
Good Stay
As usual a good stay. Everything fine.
Albert view stay
Good quality cheap price, the heating could have been a little more consistent but otherwise definitely worth it
Great value for money.
Really good value for money. Comfortable, and always got a quick response from hotel about keeping my room on when extending my trip. Only negative would be the shower wasn’t too powerful. But overall happy with the hotel and would definitely go back.
My son & I were due to stay overnight for us to attend a concert at the AO arena on December 4th. On December 2nd, approximately 10:00am, I received, first an email, then a text, then finally a phone call, all witin a couple of minutes of each correspondence. In regards to the phone call, I couldn't understand the gentleman, who didnt appear to be the owner, he stated no payment could be taken over the phone. The payment had to be paid via paypal, online, by my partner at approximately 2:30pm. At approximately 3:30 pm, we were informed our scheduled concert had been postponed! Nobody's fault, granted, but I tried to cancel immediately with absolutely no success! So £52 was paid for not using these facilities. For the owner not to show any consideration in this matter was extremely disappointing. Absolutely No recommendation from a very unhappy father & son.
The room was cold and noisy. Windows were poor. No heating on until we called the owner to put it on. It was freezing. All the corridors smelt of smoke. I woke feeling like id become a smoker. Terrible place. Wont stay again. Over priced.
Good
Great little place for a quick business trip so can’t complain. Everything you need was there and the property was not too far from city centre.
The room is relatviely small. the bathroom door will block the way next to the bed. not a best design for a hotel room.
My accommodation was good just didn’t like how it was freezing when sleeping. Felt like the heater wasn’t on during the night
Terrible
Room damp and dirty
We were in a room that only half could be used due to sloping roof no view apart from a window opposite a travel kettle with paper cups no milk or spoon to make coffee furniture is dated and peeling shower room wasnt the cleanest towels were old and green radiator is rusted there was a random piece of plastic from the shower in bathroom and bathroom cupboard wouldnt stay closed tap had a constant drip and doors were very heavy which caused a lot of banging when people were coming and going no one was around to ask any directions for public transport etc so we ended up spending a lot on ubers as it wasnt very central even taxi driver struggled to find it
Atrocious - do NOT stay
If I could give a zero rating I would. Absolutely awful and will never stay again. The room did not align to the photos which looked modern - how long ago were those photos taken? I was left feeling the photos were gross sales misrepresentations. There was a hole in the wall, the room stank of urine, lots of what looked like peeling paint, window sill was not secured down. Stay at your own risk, you have been warned.
Really worth the money. Affordable, clean & close to transport. Parking was also easy. Would definitely recommend!
Very cheap hotel in reasonable lication. My lock box was hard to open, i had to wait for helpfrim other guests as no way to contact anyone. Room was clean, shower was good. Good for a cheap stay
As always it's a little gem of a place and so easy to check in n out
The property was fairly dirty with torn bedding. The kettle was dirty.
As it said on tin
It was fit for purpose of visit. Tidy little room,ok shower (i like it like little needles), remote access.
Untold stress and added expense
I booked Albert View and it was a nightmare. The most stressful accommodation booking I have ever made. Upon check in I could not open the front door. I was in a rush to check in quickly as I had a meeting to attend and had been travelling for 3 hours. I rang the number and was told to turn it hard to the right hand side as it is a double lock and should click. It didn't work so I asked if they were sure it was the right and they said yes. It wouldn't work so they said they'd call someone. This caused me extreme anxiety as the clock was ticking for my meeting. So whilst I waited I turned it to the left anyway and it opened. So the instructions I was given were incorrect. This check in process caused so much stress that was completely avoidable if correct instructions were given. When I entered my room (room 9) I was assaulted by the stink of cigarettes, despite the windows being open. The bedsheets were grey and when I smelt them they did not smell clean. I checked the shower and there was zero water pressure. I wouldn't have been able to shower properly. I suffer with OCD so there was no way I could stay in this room. I quickly booked the ibis budget 10 minutes away and checked out. This meant that the costs for my accommodation have ended up being astronomical! Due to the issue with the front door and the state of the room and the fact I had to very quickly book an alternative and I ended up being late to my meeting. This caused untold stress and ruined my whole weekend.
it was good for what we needed, somewhere to stay when our concert had finished; on the other hand, we found a dead flea in our bed, the noise of the other people in the hotel kept us up all night slamming their doors. the lady who gave us our keys was lovely. i’d usually stay in a travelodge or a premier in however we needed something close to the stadium.
All was fine apart from the parking was very a problem. I had my car parked overnight as I going our the next morning someone had blocked me in , almost parked right across the whole exit. I tries to knock a few doors but was unable to get a response. I i was just lucky as someone was coming out & i asked about the car to which it was hers, so she moved it. Apart from that all.was fine
Disappointed with location and cleanliness.
If you are staying here because you are going to the Coop Live for an event, then a car or public transport is needed. We booked here thinking it was within walking distance and it isn't. I also wouldn't want to walk around here late in the evening. Parking is very limited. The rooms are very basic, run down and dirty. Don't look at the pillows, the stains might put you off.
We stopped in Room 6 15th June. We had to purchase fly spray (11 in total) and febreeze. It was horrendous. The photos remind me of peoples Tinder photos... looked like that once upon a time but definitely not today. Only positive I can say is Uber is £6 to the AO arena. Dirty carpet, dead flys in the bathroom cupboard, live ones pre spray. Dirty walls, no lampshade just bare bulb hanging down. Smallest of showers. The whole place is grubby. Avoid if possible, however thats just my own opinion.
Basic facilities are satisfactory, the room itself is rather noisy because of the busy main roads.
The place was safe and convenient for me
Unclean rooms, had to book somewhere else!!
We had two rooms booked. Both were unclean and very disappointing. Room 12 had random pieces of wood under and around the desk, stains on the pillows, large brown stains om the floor, cigarette ash on the window, broken towel rail, cobwebs and a tv that had the cable hanging down the wall without a socket near by. Room 3 had an extremely strong smell of cigarettes, to the point where I began struggling to breathe due to chest pains. I have a medical condition that was exasperated by this. There were multiple spiders, peeling plaster, skirting boards that appeared grey due to the amount of dust, multiple hairs in the bed with bedding that did not smell clean! The cheap window security lock on one window was broken, with a dead bug on the window sill. The walls were all marked with some stains looking like no one had attempted to clean them. We ended up having to book and pay for another hotel as the cleanliness and hygiene was so poor we did not feel comfortable to continue our stay. I had tried to contact the hotel through the chat feature and by calling and had no response. I am extremely disappointed with this property and would never recommend.
Shocking
Walk in and after 5 mins of seeing the room walk straight back out, it was dirty and had a dirty smell, did not stay there, to call the room a deluxe room was a joke, what a waste of money
No smoking allowed in the property - room stank of smoke - no milk left to make a drink - no sign provided for do not disturb- or please clean as per the message I received. The shower was broken and you had to put it on cold to get a hot shower , however for the monies paid for the stay the room was acceptable - parking was horrendous no room for a big car like mine - you can squeeze 3 small cars on the front car park but no more than that
Nice condition, all simple in order! Thank you very much
Not bad at all
For the price of this room I really can’t.complain, only warning I give is delux rooms look a lot bigger on the pictures than they are.
It was easy to check in, but the little locked boxes for the keys didn't feel very secure, the stairs felt a bit like a hazard especially for a person on crutches. The room had a number of strange stains and marks on the walls and especially on the bathroom door. When we checked in, the window had been left open, so it was freezing inside and the blanket was barely big enough for the size of the bed (2 people). The heat didn't seem to work very well if at all, and the room smelled faintly of cigarette smoke.
Terrible.
Absolutely disgusting. Do not stay here. Hair in the bed. Dust everywhere. Very noisy can hear people all night form inside and outside the building. Cobwebs and other marks all over the walls. Broken blinds so let’s all the light in. Windows mouldy Bits all over the floor. Very run down, paint peeling and mouldy. Shower looks like it’s not been cleaned in years. Rude staff over the phone saying its clean and he dos not understand. Only plus side is they sent a cleaner to the room. BUT Bedding they brought spare just as dirty. No reception as expected so keys are outside in a key safe. They gave the code by email so not safe at all. Could be a really nice place to stay with work and cleaning done. Overall, for £50 a night I would expect it to be clean especially as the premier in 10 minute walk down the road is £31 for a night!!
Returning customer
Returning customer use for uni days Good price, service and room is fine for the price I will keep coming back when at uni for the day
Don’t go there !
It is a receptionless check in which went ok. The room was dirty as were the bed sheets. We had to sleep on top of the duvet cover as inside had make up stains and body hair.Absolutely disgusting. The bathroom was not hygienic ,maybe the toilet and shower had been wiped but nothing else . I will not be staying here again nor recommending it.
The room was very dirty and smelt like a teenagers bedroom, clearly smoking has taken place as stale smell lingering, walls paper thin and other guests extremely loud because there is no one around its like a free for all.
In a good position for the city centre
it is a very good place to stay comfy bed very tidy nice people decent kitchen
Everything ran smoothly. However, unablevto tell me what buses ran from Manchester City Centre. For your knowledge and future information Buses 97 and 98 run from Shudehill Bus Station passing the front door.
It was a bit dirty, but it felt homely. I couldn’t make a hot drink and being by the front door was noisy, but overall I absolutely loved my stay and will definitely come back.
Overnight stay
Cleanliness a real problem, found a bra, crisp packets, and other debris under and around the bed plus pic online showed a much bigger room than we got, room in need of a deep clean ASAP, bed was comfy but wouldn't recommend until the cleanliness is sorted
Dirty , so called queen bed, it was a three quarter bed, dirty bedding had to sleep on top of cover nasty place.
Toiletries and towels only for one person, bed uncomfortable .
Review
The room was good and bathroom was easy to access. Stated netflix was available on tv- wouldn’t work in our room and most channels didn’t have signal to work. Radiator was on too hot and no way of turning it off/down- fire hazzard! Especially as it was right by the bed. However room was nice, slept well and price was good for area and easy located area and to get around.
Value for moneu
Clean and serviceable Very good value for money
When I went there the property is closed and nobody answering the phone. I was very frustrated. I had to go to another hotel.
Damp, disgusting and dirty.
The room had a disgusting smell that would not got away no matter how much air freshener we sprayed which we soon found out was due to the damp that was all over the room. Could not find one member of staff to report this too and the damp made me and my partner both feel uncomfortable, uneasy and unwell.
Average room, no shower
Accommodation was just about okay for crashing for a night for an event, amenities weren't great for the room (stuff was left for making a coffee, but in a dirty cup and no milk), shower in Room 4 didn't work at all, no way to get it to turn on or any running water, had to leave unwashed in the morning.
2 night stay
Usual hotel fully booked so tried here - Check in all good , Room however was old, damp and smelt strange - (window was left open ahead of stay so must be a known problem). Room wasnt very clean and could not relax in there due to feeling dirty. Hotel very noisy at night, walls very thin and rooms above have very creaky floors - very tired leaving
Not great condition, but it served a purpose.
Relatively convenient for a stay for a gig at the AO Arena in Manchester. It was about 25-30 minutes walking in to the arena, though the area we walked through seemed a bit run down. The room was small, with the space well used, but having the double bed against the wall was quite inconvenient. The ensuite was ok, but the electric showee seemedto have the habit of suddenly going cold. The whole room seemed a bit musty and could definitely have been more comfortable and cared for. The main benefit of this stay was being able to walk to the gig.
Cleanliness of room
The room did not appear to be very clean, dust on windowsills and lamps, shower door doesn’t shut meaning water was going out onto the floor, extremely bleached towel was not very appealing to use.

The room was advised as a queen bed - instead it was a SMALL double against the wall. The other guests were disrespectful and loud at 3am so our stay wasn’t as nice. The auto heating was inconvenient as it was needed when it wasn’t on and wasn’t needed when it was. Location was convenient
