Amazing hotel with friendly staff and beautiful, historic rooms!
Lovely little hotel. The staff was great and the room was comfortable and cozy. A nice breakfast in their lovely dining room was included. It’s a bit away from the lake (a pleasant 15 minute walk) but an excellent value.
VERY NICE HOTEL SPA IT IS REGULAR NOTHING GREAT 30 USD FOR RESORT FOR A OLD SPA HOTEL IT IS VERY FAR FROM EVERYTING LIKE A RETIREMENT HOTEL ON THE MOUNTAIN
Property was mostly nice. Bathroom had mold growing in the shower doors.
Big family room with good breakfast and nice location…
Nice staff
Overall we had a great stay. What sets this place apart is their staff. My friend and I were treated like royalty from all of them. Every staff member we encountered provided excellent customer service. We had a great room in the main building with an huge balcony overlooking the swimming pool. The breakfast had a good choice of food and it was presented very well. The hotel has a car park that you must pre book your spot. It costs 20 euros per day. On their website however they list it as 15 euros per day. Something they don’t advertise until you arrive is that they have an EV charger on site. It costs 1 euro per kWh which I don’t know if it’s a standard for Italian charging prices but it’s convenient! What would have made my stay a 5 star stay? The air conditioning in the room is not very strong. During the hot summer temperatures I imagine it’s hard to cool down a room with such high ceilings but maybe they need a larger sized air con. We asked for a fan and it helped us sleep. In addition, the rooms show signs of age. The hairdryer in the bathroom is just not acceptable in this day and age! Unfortunately due to the storms, the pool was unusable for half of our stay. The cost per night was high in line with local hotel prices.
The price is way too high for a property like this this should not be a 4 star hotel. I would give the staff credit they are trying to help at least. You can tell the owmer is cheap and the management is subpar
Very close to old city of Como
Close to the centre
Lovely hotel very friendly staff nothing was too much trouble and close to the centre
Staff were great.
Not worth the extra money for pool
Not a great stay. The room was tiny even by European standards, the air conditioner control was hidden behind the armoire and didn’t work anyway, and there wasn’t even hand soap in the room. They do technically have a pool, but it was much smaller than the photos suggest, dirty, and there were no towels or spaces to sit around it other than the little breakfast tables so it wasn’t usable. We chose this hotel over cheaper ones so we’d be able to cool off in the pool but it was too scuzzy to even bother putting our feet in at the end of a long day of walking.
Great location, nice hotel and friendly staff.
Lovely breakfasts well located Friendly helpful staff.
Charming hotel with restaurants within a few minutes walk. Nice stroll to the lake.
Beautiful and clean, friendly staff
Beautiful, charming architecturally and wonderful staff and location.
Exceptional hotel. Great breakfast.
Nice location just outside of the historic zone. Very nice staff.
The hotel is in a lovely setting and is furnished well with lovely rooms. However, there was no hot water for both nights that I stayed in the hotel. The only catering offered is breakfast and there are no amenities such as a gym. This hotel lends itself well to a weekend break, but is not really suited to a business trip.
Very nice stay
Good and would recommend
Overall had a good experience and would recommend. The staff was super friendly and room was spacious and nice looking. Wifi wasn’t the best and that’s the only con.
Firstly the staff were excellent, the breakfast was very good. The hotel is tired and needs some investment. My room had damp through the wall to the side of the bed from the bathroom shower, not acceptable. For just one night the room was ok, nice to have tea facilities in the room. The shower gel and soap were just enough for a small child not an adult. Take your own.
A great disappointment
Very disappointing hotel. Room was lit by three lamps which did not provide sufficient light and it was difficult to read in the room. The lamps took most of the plugs. One plug was broken so little ability to charge phones etc. Bath was not cleaned by maids after we had used it. It was a spa bath and the chrome covers on the jets fell off exposing grubby plastic underneath. Breakfast was poor. Not enough tables laid up. Staff were slow to do this and bring hot drinks. Supplies ran out and were not replaced without asking staff some of whom had a poor attitude. In a rather old fashioned way we had to leave our key with reception when we went out. If there was no one there we had to leave it in a tray where anyone could take it from which made us uneasy. There was a leak in the corridor leading to our room. Although a bucket was there it didn’t catch the water and there was a puddle on the floor all of our 4 night stay. In addition laundry was left propping open a door to the stairs for a couple of days.
Close to the lake
Pros: close to the lake Cons: room was small and cramped.
Very helpful front desk staffs. Best location to old town of Como. Walkable but far from both main rail and boat stations.
My stay experience
Service was great. Staff was super helpful and friendly. The bed creaks extremly loud which is inconvenient for a light sleeper like myself. You have to call for a iron and press which was inconvenient and they take it back after your use. Staff is great though.
Old Como hotel
The oldest hotel in Como and some of the rooms are just that! Booked for parking on our road trip, supposed to be 4* hotel but rooms on offer were awful. 1 couple had to pay large amount to move to a room with daylight (windows had black plastic bin bags taped to them as no curtains). Our room we couldn’t get into the shower, as the shower door doesn’t open enough to let you in. I’m a size 14 so not huge! Pool is cold and not in the sun and looks nothing like the photos. The bar is limited and shuts dead on 10pm. Didn’t use the restaurant as we were so disappointed in this booking. When spoke to the reception the response was well you booked the rooms! Would definitely NOT recommend at all!
It is in a great location and staff are hospitable.
Beautiful old hotel. We needed a last minute one night stay so we didn’t get to enjoy it as much as we’d have liked. They were able to book us an early morning taxi to the train station (hard to do in Como) and packed us breakfast to go. Only complaint was the shower- took forever to get hot water and then it got too hot and couldn’t adjust it to comfortable temp. A maintenance item. We’d definitely stay there again.
Best little Como break!
We had a wonderful short stay here! We even had our own balcony! Breakfast was gorgeous and the staff were friendly and helpful!
The bathroom tub didn’t have a shower curtain or something like it, so showering was uncomfortable and inconvenient. The AC didn’t cool down the room very well. It also didn’t feel like the cleanest room. There are probably better options for a similar price.
Helpful friendly staff .

Very enjoyable stay!
We had an amazing time during our stay. Our room was awesome. The location was perfect for us to be able to explore Como and the other towns along the lake. It’s just a short walk from two train stations and the amenities are awesome. Michele checked us in for our stay and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our visit. The staff altogether were incredibly friendly and helpful. We’d recommend staying here to all our friends and family.
Recommended.
Great hotel. We had a lovely room. Hotel is situated on the edge of the Old Town, perfect. Parking available for €20. Nice breakfast. Well priced. Would stay again. Not in love with Como!
Friendly staff , breakfast was ok , walking distance to city center and ferry station . Loved it
Good location just on the edge of the old town. Decor really was not to my taste and the pool was very small and I felt like I was swimming in the car park. Breakfast was outstanding and service was friendly.
Nice breakfast
Staff very helpful. Bar area charming. Room was quite unusual, rustic and attractive. Bathroom exceptionally nice. Only downside: old fashioned key & lock system.
Wonderful Experience!!!
Felt like family!!! Amazing hotel and awesome staff!!! Beautiful room with plenty of space. Would highly recommend!!’
Very nice hotel outside the walls of the city. Full of shops and restaurants.
Location 10 minutes from Ferry. Staff was friendly and helpful. Full breakfast was appreciated by the family. Room was NOT air conditioned as advertised. Had to keep windows open and fans on to sleep. Street noise was loud all night long and so having the windows open wasn’t great.
Great and very helpful staff. Really nice facility located in the heart of Como. One of the best customer service I have experienced! Really recommend this place
Very clean. Great breakfast. Lovey interiors. Helpful staff.
Unlike the modern large hotel, this hotel is very unique which kept its lakeside design to match the area's environment. Walking distance to city's central shopping and restaurants area. Very close to the lake where you can take ferries to the lakeside cities. Hotel staffs are friendly and welcome. Highly recommended.
The breakfast was great. The location was convenient. Supermarket nearby. Stations nearby.
We had a wonderful stay al Albergo Le Due Corti. That staff was kind and helpful. The room was clean and very nice.
Great location
Hotel is at the entrance of the historic district. Great location, close to everything and very walkable. Amazing front desk staff - very helpful. Room was very clean. Good breakfast also.
Shower was very small
The worst hotel and the rudest staff who yell at their guests. I prepaid a room and was given a completely different one and they refused to do anything about it. Liars and cheaters. Biggest scam of all time. Their room pictures look nothing like their actual rooms. Avoid this hotel.
The discomfortable room
The hotel's location is good. The staff was friendly, breakfast was average. My room was on the top floor, basically on the loft, the blinds of window was broken, the hanger of shower was broken too. There was no safe in the room.No view can be seen in the room, as one window was higher up and another one was on the roof. I paid 200 Euros for each night, not expecting this discomfortable room was given to me.
The airconditioner in our room barely worked. The shower is small.
Charming, convenient location
I would definitely recommend this property to a friend
the AC do not work
Chose this hotel over another as it said it had air conditioning. But my room did not have A/C and it was a super warm day, I did not sleep at all. Also, they have this ridiculous rule where they put this big rock on the room keychain and tell you to leave the key at the front desk every time you leave the hotel.. so you need to wait in line to get your key every time.. never seed that before
Beautiful place, great location and friendly staff.
Enjoyed the traditional style of the property
Gteat
Stunning hotel, just outside the town centre. Great service and amazing value for money
Staff is very friendly!
Great location, nice breakfast, helpful staff, quiet. Plenty of room in the bathroom, had tub and separate shower with very hot water and strong water pressure. Front desk staff were very helpful, especially with the recommendation for a local Pizza/Pasta place around the corner. This hotel is a short walk to Como Borghi train station and a short walk to restaurants and the lake.
By-gone days revisited
the hotel is like a little time capsule of a by gone era of splendour, it really does make you feel as if it is a special treat. the tone was excellently set by the front doorman who was a pleasure and should be commended. the front facade does not do justice to what lies behind the doors. The room doors have actual keys, with a heavy brass fob, I hate plastic. The only down side was the sound proofing is not up todays standards but that is a very minor criticism.
Arrival was marred by being informed that there was no parking and that should have booked this separ
Very nice hotel - great location
Very nice hotel, great location and private parking. Breakfast was delicious. I can only recommend that hotel and we will definitively be back there.
AC in my room didn't work
The generous size of the room, the convenient location are the positive features, the style is Classic with “cotto “ as flooring and wooden ceilings, also furnishings are of the same style: really nice!
Perfect Como Hotel
Excellent Hotel
Nice hotel with a lovely breakfast, conveniently located!
An absolute classic!
This hotel is in the absolutely perfect location!! From here you can walk through the entire old town, walking streets all the way, and to the lake. It's only a 15 minute walk to both the lake, or to the primary train station. The staff are incredible, they carry themselves in a 5-star hotel trained manner. The on-site restaurant chef is Sicilian and presented a very good dinner, and the servers were clearly top-class. The hotel has an old fashioned feel to it, but in the best possible way - an antique or classic, and classy to boot. We LOVED it!
Very close to old town/shopping district and to lake. Location is ideal! Staff is very friendly and accommodating, although service at the check in is slow and there are always lines. Hotel is nice but outdated, especially the bathroom and showers. The first night there was a bad smell coming out of the pipes in the bathroom, however after this it was okay. Parking at the hotel is difficult unless you are there early in the day. If you have a late check in you will probably not get parking at the hotel but will have to go to public parking. I would definitely stay here again.
Nice staff at check in, room was ready earlier, we liked the old-style hotel and rooms. Check-out was a little inefficient though, took us a while to get someone to help us.
Very good location. Many shops and restaurants within walking distance. The ferry boat terminal is also walking distance. Out of this world excellent breakfast and the quality of food. The staff was helpful and courteous. Our room was slightly small; but, very comfortable. Our room had a bathtub with shower; however, there is no enclosure around the tub so water spill on the bathroom floor. Also, the shower head nozzle is not affixed on the wall. You have to hold it in your hand while showering. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. I recommend this hotel.
The employees at the reception friendly, efficient, they speak english or french. The concierge is a nice person, willing to help. We will definitely come back at your hotel as it is very well located.
Our first room was an economy double. It was extremely austere, but worse, unusable due to an electrical transformer or something buzzing loudly in the walls. After an hour of torture trying to sleep, we called the front desk. Thankfully they moved us. The new room was a superior double and much better. The gentleman on the front desk was great. Overall however, we thought the property odd and over priced.
This property is extremely nice. Location is ideal, at the entrance of the old town. The staff is friendly, they really seem to enjoy helping you. From bellboys to reception, restaurant, you feel welcome in the hotel. I would just improve the pool, it is too small :)
Brilliant location. Courteous and helpful staff. Allowing to leave our car at their forecourt longer than the checkout time was another kind gesture.
Great location, walking distance to nearly everyth
Great location, close to everything
We had not anticipated staying at this property, but an unexpected short hospitalization prompted me to book. The location was fabulous, within walking distance to the old town, restaurants and shops. The staff was fabulous as well and very understanding and helpful given our circumstances. I would highly recommend.
Location was very good, the hotel is spacious has a swimming pool and a great breakfast! Wonderful staff.
Large room and awesome bathroom , unusual large bed for Italy . Poor breakfast , mostly sweets and canned fruits . Only fried eggs .
We were very pleased with our stay at Albergo Le Due Corti. It is a bit of a hike from the train station if you are carrying bags, but doable. The neighborhood felt very safe. The staff was very helpful and responsive. The breakfast was excellent! If you drink decaf coffee, bring your own. But the cappuccinos looked wonderful! Our room was tiny, with little room for our luggage. It was well appointed and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was large and modern. Our only complaint was that we asked several times to have someone open the safe in our room so that we could use it. That request was ignored.
Great Spot
Great staff. Nice breakfast.
Restaurant staff was surly and coffee was terrible.
It was lovely and clean and a really good location
Perfect location close to the centre of town
Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Made for an awesome trip Thank you
Amazing Albergo
We booked a 4-night stay in a Deluxe room, which was lovely apart from the bathroom. As they weren't able to fix the problems, they upgraded us to a Suite, which was amazing! Lovely little pool to cool off in at the end of a hot day, with a pretty terrace for breakfast & evening drinks. Just opposite the gateway to the old town of Como 😊
A day in Como
The hotel doesn't really cater for international guests. There is very little international TV and radio. The hotel could offer a hot breakfast. Our room was quite noisy, as it was near the road junctions, and the gathering of students in the morning.
Perfect.
Peaceful & relaxing time in Como
Beautiful hotel! Right outside the walled city. But close enough to the walking/shopping district. Room was very quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was amazing! A huge selection to choose from. I had dinner at the hotel restaurant - great food! The staff was very helpful! I would come back to that hotel in a heartbeat!
Good location/services/helpful and polite staff. I would go there again.
Had a room with no shower , just a bath tub
The decor of the hotel is beautiful and very uniquely Italian. It has a great mixture of modern comforts and classic features. My bedroom and bathroom were both large for a single room. The hotel is just located outside the city walls within an easy distance of restaurants and shops. The breakfast buffet was very good and the waiting staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. I would suggest they try and separate the interior dining room with the patio area so non-smokers don’t get subjected to the smoke. As the windows are kept open to allow people walk back and forward to the buffet, the people sitting inside can’t avoid inhaling the smoke. I also noticed people smoke by the reception area (including staff) and that area also contained smoke fumes regularly. It would be great if the hotel management reviewed options here for the health and comfort of non-smoking guests and staff. I very much appreciated the early check-in and all my interaction with staff was extremely efficient. I would certainly recommend this hotel to visitors to Como.
Cheaper 4 star just 12 minutes walk from the front
Several things broken in the room: light, bath hydro pumps, windows, air con cupboard. Swimming pool is there but tiny and freezing!
Good service
Good location, quiet but close enough to most attractions. Food & service were excellent & room was comfortable.
The staff was less than accommodating to our language barrier. The room was too warm and the air conditioning didn’t work.
Air conditioning and bathroom cleanliness
For hot days the room gets too warm, air conditioning would be needed. we found mold and mildew inside the shower, bleach solution would be needed.
Okay Hotel for a Budget
Nice and roomy hotel especially for Europe. There is no AC in the room, which makes you have the windows open at night. That isn’t a huge problem, but it is so darn loud outside I would constantly get woken up by traffic. Room is fairly clean, but we had ants in our room. That was a first for me. The shower was also moldy. The breakfast was great with tons of food and coffee drinks made to order.
Great location for bus or walking. Large comfy room and bath (French style-not fully enclosed so use carefully). Hotel staff mostly very good, helpful, and friendly. We have 4 issued to mention, though: 1-Hotel dining room was missing 5 or more main items. We were not told until sitting down. 2-Hotel uses short sheets for bottom sheets. We had to carefully remake our bed before bedtime or redo in middle of night. 3-To get in or out of shower, there is a pretty tall side to the tub and the only holding help is the radiator bars. Had to be very careful getting out. Hotel had no help for this. 4-For 2 days we had water dripping outside our door in hallway. Hotel said it was due to water condensation when A/C was first coming on for summer use. I was ok with this answer. I was not ok with their lack of concern for anyone slipping on the puddles we had. It is all hardwood flooring. We used room towels to clean it 3 or 4 times each day. Still, these were only inconveniences we had to work around.

The staffs were excellent! Lorenzo in particular was giving us many advice in town. And also take care of us. The only negative is the shower water are slow.
