I feel the hotel has lost the idea of what kind of place they want to be. This is a remote area. So, if I go there, obviously I am looking for a quiet place, where I can relax in silence, at least in my own room!!! But, the hotel hired some mediocre (first I thought it was karaoke, actually) musicians that play everyday the same loud music from 7pm until 10pm. Also, the road construction is going on near the hotel until 11pm with power generators making noise. Also, you hear your neighbors. Nowadays, quite some annoying people find it obligatory to report non-stop everything going on in their lives to all their relatives and friends everyday on video calls. They find it especially enjoyable while smoking on the shared balcony. Some neighbors listen loud music anytime on a balcony or in their room. The inner blocks of the aircons are very noisy even when turned off, because of the central air conditioning and echo of outer blocks is constantly coming. The outer blocks of the aircons rattle against the walls and you can feel the vibration through your pillow even when you lay in bed. The hotel must invest into proper maintenance of the air conditioners rather than into hiring the annoying army of dressed-in-green people that are desperately trying to lure into some membership. At least they must fix the entrance door that scratch against the floor and cannot be opened without a proper push. Smoking is allowed even in restaurants and balconies, which is ridiculous nowadays.
Bathroom was moldy. Room had a weird smell. Food was bland
Average
Nice hotel but boring in the evening. Bar and restaurants are totally empty and nothing to do around at night. The road going to the beach has currently significant work and the swimming pools surrounded by buildings
Getting a Taxi to Patong cost $10 each way. There is a hotel shuttle but it has pretty limited service. The staff was excellent but they are limited by company policies. The cleaners don’t give fresh towels. We were there for 10 days and I had to hand in the towels at the half way mark and then wait hours before we got any back. One day we didn’t get cleaning (they must have missed us) so we didn’t get water, they charged us $3 USD per bottle. One day we had no toilet paper and I had to go search for some. The food was really good, much better than most hotels. We are foodies and chose to eat at the resort several times. Breakfast was varied - western and Thai, great pizza and salads at The Kitchen.
Away from the craziness of Pa Tong. Nice and clean with an amazing beach just behind. Would recommend.
The property and rooms were just as pictured. Staff was polite and helpful. I enjoyed my stay. Easy access to Patong beach via taxi about 10 minutes when theres no traffic. Also they provide a daily shuttle too and from Patong Beach area.
Safe and quiet
Wonderful vacation at Absolute Twin Sands
Currently staying at Absolut Twin Sands for 10 nights and thorougly enjoying the stay. Very proper Delux Studio with ample appliances from fridge, hot top, micro and very cold fridge and basic table wear. Rain shower bath room with everything you could ask for incl. bath robe & slipper. Balcony overlooking the nice pool area. Wonderful staff looking after us. The Blue Mango restaurant staff even promised to fix gluten free beer to the restaurant. One of us is a celiac person and he has had no issues with it and ample choice of foods. Very attractive offers at resort restaurants & bars (Buy one get one free etc). The property is very well kept and there is always staff tending to pools, gardeners trimming etc. Would be happy to return 🤗
Alot of traffic noise to be heard from our room and inconsiderate hotel guests. Staff were not at all helpful; lacked basic hospitality skills and table waiting training sorely needed. Could not recommend this place but the Marrot next door was pretty good.
The amenities and stove top and full kitchen
It is disappointing that there no laundry service or laundry room there is no convenience store which it should have if only to sell the essentials and the shuttle should be free as the distance to the town is quite a hike and more frequent The staff however are lovely
Nice property, clean and friendly staff. I came here from another shoreline I was extremely underwhelmed by and very much enjoyed my staff although it wa a brief. Would return for long stay.
This is a nice place to stay. Much quieter than Patong Beach, and the closest beach (Merlin beach?) has good sand and lovely clean water, not to mention excellent massages at family massage at the far end of the small cove. There is nothing much Thailand about the hotel, it is modern and worldly I guess. Not huge on ambience, but a very good place to recharge your batteries. The pools are also particularly lovely. :-). Kay from Australia
They thought of everything. There was even an umbrella in the room.
Nice Apartments but not yet a resort
The rooms at Absolute Twin Sands are beautiful however the beds are far too hard for Westerners! The hotel is in stage 2 of construction with more building taking place at the moment and looks like it will eventually be a beautiful resort. At the moment however it is an apartment block with a nice infinity pool, a small modern gym and spa. There's no resort atmosphere, you can't get a pool towel before 10am and the big Thai restaurant with the buffet breakfast we all love on holidays is sadly missing. The restaurant food was great but portion sizes were way too small for the price. And be prepared to be hassled by the Absolute sales machine!!!!
Facilities: Top of the line; Value: Affordable; Service: Remarkable; Cleanliness: Spotless;
Fin resort. Renslig men ligger ca 10 min kjøretur fra Patong beach. Stille og rolig. Familievennlig. Ikke mange butikker i nærheten, men godkjent.
Sehr gut.
