Zelda Dearest is a gem…beautifully appointed rooms across four Victorian buildings. The staff is superb - attentive and kind. Great location to visit Asheville’s best restaurants, cocktail bars and breweries.
Fantastic Boutique Hotel
Absolutely wonderful! From the service, to the well thought out design, to the delicious breakfast, this place is a gem. The location is fantastic — a minute walk to The Orange Peel, nothing like being able to see a concert and not have to worry about fighting traffic, and the proximity to all the restaurant and shopping can’t be beat. Our room was well appointed and we barely heard any of the other guests, we slept soundly. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.
One of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed. I love the style and quality of the design. Extremely friendly staff. Great location. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone visiting Asheville.
Amazing stay. Room was fantastic and staff were wonderful. Will definitely stay here again!
Great Asheville find!
Really cute boutique hotel in a great location close to downtown Asheville and South Slope activities. It was well designed and very charming in a modern/retro way
One of the most aesthetically pleasing rooms I have ever stayed in! My kids and husband loved every detail. The staff was very professional and kind.
What a great property...clean, comfy, and perfectly located. We highly recommend this the next time you are in Asheville, you'll love it as much as we did.
Zelda Dearest Yes!
We loved the room. It was luxurious, the bed was very comfortable, and it had everything you could wish for. Also within walking distance to downtown.
Luxurious, quiet, wonderful service, great bar and terrace… we can’t say enough about Zelda Dearest. Staying there was a welcome break from chain hotels during college touring. We felt pampered and relaxed. Don’t pass this gem up!
Todo muy bien,el cuarto nítido y amplio y atención esmerada, muy recomendable.
Great experience at Zelda. Not your typical hotel. The team at the hotel are fantastic.
We loved our stay at Zelda Dearest! My daughter and I stayed Wednesday to Saturday for a girl’s retreat. The hotel was beautiful, the room spacious and clean, the service great, and the location an easy walk to restaurants and galleries. We loved the friendly atmosphere of the city, the many food options, and the art scene. I definitely recommend this hotel if you are considering a stay in Asheville.
Stylish hotel with wonderful service
Not only was this hotel gorgeous and so beautifully decorated, the service was genuinely lovely. I had a lot of trouble getting there after multiple delayed flights and they were very flexible with my reservation and when I arrived I found they had upgraded my room to an incredible suite. The suite was very large and very comfort has been considered. The bar area if beautiful as well. I also had to leave very early in the morning to make a flight and missed breakfast service. They were kind enough to pack up a breakfast bag for me to take with me. That's wonderful service. I will definitely be back.
Great property, staff, and location!
Everything from booking to check out was flawless. The property is in a great location, secure, and everything in the room was spotless. The breakfast provided in the morning was another bonus. Even after we checked out, the staff went above and beyond to help us with something we needed assistance with. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Asheville.
Nice and clean boutique hotel
Nice hotel with multiple house like building. Location is very convenient and you can walk to downtown restaurants
Wonderful
We stayed one night to elope at the Asheville courthouse. Our stay was wonderful! We will definitely return to Zelda Dearest.
Decorating was the best!!
The staff is so helpful and friendly!! One improvement I suggest is a mirror in the living area so that two people can get ready at the same time.
Beautifully restored hotel close to everything in Asheville. The room Was gorgeous and the bed so comfortable. Highly recommend!!
Unique and special hotel
We love this hotel! It is unique, charming and has so much style. Personal touches are everywhere and it contributed so much to our positive experience in Asheville. One of my favorites!
Beautiful boutique hotel in great location near the brewery district. Staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating! Also loved the Zelda Fitzgerald theme. Would definitely recommend this unique hotel to anyone visiting Ashville.
We loved the Great Gatsby theme and the quality of the rooms and staff. The location was perfect to be able to walk all around.
Very unique and nice hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was great.
Delightful!
We went for a weekend trip. The renovations are well done and the rooms are thoughtfully decorated. Definitely a level of luxury with quality linens, robes, a steamer and good tea and coffee in the rooms. The location is perfect if you plan on wandering around downtown - it is very walkable.
Staff (Erica and Amy) were amazingly friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was huge and beautifully decorated. We felt as if we were staying at a bed and breakfast with lower hotel price. Hotel is walking distance to downtown shops and breweries. Overall, highly recommend!
The whole place was refined, elegant and comfortable. Congratulations for the design choices.
Had a wonderful time in Asheville. The room and service was first class. We would highly recommend Zelda Dearest to anyone that is looking to taking their visit to Asheville to the next level.
Loved the Zelda and 1920’s theme….
Zelda Dearest was a pleasant surprise. We didn't know what to expect but really enjoyed the unique properties. Amy welcomed us and helped carry luggage to the room. She was a delight. The decor was enjoyable and the workmanship in the restoration was excellent. Great location for getting around town.
Zelda Dearest was the perfect place to spend a few days enjoying Asheville. Close to the Biltmore, Downtown and many restaurants and breweries.
The accommodations and staff are outstanding. This boutique hotel’s attention to detail is award winning.
Awesome stay. Room was very cool and staff awesome.
Lovely property! Such a great addition to Asheville! The one thing of concern is the sunlight in the room does get REALLY hot, I know it might be an expense but tinted windows might be an option.
Great renovation in an excellent location!
I took my boyfriend here for a birthday weekend. I love the renovation of these older homes and found our room to be lacking in nothing - I reserved the Magnolia with a soaking tub. The finish levels are very nice and our room quite large. The location in Asheville is excellent and I really liked that it's a smaller property compared to some of the other places around. I think the only negative I could say is that the location of our particular room within the hotel was at the top of the stairs to the main level so we heard folks both downstairs at the bar - not very often - and as they would walk through the hall from other rooms above us or on the same level. But I reserved a very specific room so there may have not been others to choose from. Overall a great stay and everyone was very nice. Bed was super comfy and soaking tub A+ after walking all over Asheville!
Enjoyed the Hotel immensely but cannot wait to return. My only concerns are that the internet service was spotty, which could be interpreted as a blessing, and the coffee in the room did not have ant stirrers.
Incredibly unique spaces centrally located with incredible staff. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Stayed only one night as a stopover and wished we had planned to stay longer. The hotel is beautiful, quiet and in an excellent location. Very comfortable beds, staff were extremely friendly and gave us great tips for our evening stroll to find food and beverages.
A delightful place. Well designed and furnished, with fun touches. Nice location. Front desk charming. Highly recommend over standard hotels.
Beautifully decorated. Comfortable bed. Easy to walk into town with lots of interesting dining options. Great continental breakfast featuring items from a local bakery.r
Properly, cleanliness, staff, neighborhood
Our room was beautiful and the staff was super friendly and helpful.
Lovely
Beautiful décor. Very friendly staff
My husband and I took a getaway for his birthday to Asheville. Our stay here could not be more pleasant and the room was absolutely beautiful. So very nice that it was within walking distance to everything downtown. We definitely recommend and will stay here again.
Gorgeous!!!!
Love it!
Zelda Dearest is amazing. The staff is friendly and helpful. It’s beautifully decorated and very comfortable and quiet. It also has a great location. We were able to park at the hotel and walk everywhere downtown. I highly recommend this hotel.
Amazing staff and breakfast.
Beautiful room and property
Perfect location to explore Asheville on foot from. Plenty of space in the room to spread out and be comfortable. They make you feel right at home. Everything is incredibly clean, and the environment felt very safe. I highly recommend this place for any kind of stay in Asheville.
New art deco style hotel
New art deco style hotel in a number of separate units. Absolutely pristine with great service, great room furnishings, very clean, great continental breakfast, cool little bar and excellent location. My wife, who is not a fan of art deco, loved this place and insists we stay here on our next visit. Wow.
Perfection! Thank you to Lark Hospitality for giving these properties new life. The restoration is flawless and the rooms are gorgeous. The location is perfect - adjacent to the South Slope and just downhill from the heart of downtown Asheville. These magnificent homes could have easily been torn down to make room for condos or a modern hotel. Instead, they’ve been preserved and renewed for travelers to enjoy. Breakfast was easy, fast and delicious, parking was FREE, and the staff was super friendly. 10 out of 10. No notes!!!! My only request is to keep your rates affordable. Asheville is becoming too expensive for the average person to enjoy. Your reasonable rates made a great night possible. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
