The location is 10/10 you’re right in the middle of town, Duval St and easy walking access to everywhere. The property is very very old and tired. What you see on the internet is NOT the state the property is in. Upon checking in we found bugs on the bed only to he told by reception that this time of year they are everywhere in Florida as it is the end of termite season and there common to be everywhere even in bed. She did nothing to ease my anxiety of this but luckily after one day we had no more bugs. Our a/c was so noisy it sounded like an A380 airplane taking off so needless to say you could not sleep with it on and had to rely on ceiling fan. The hot water is “on demand” you need to turn on sink tap first and once hot water comes through you then turn on shower and turn off sink tap, try washing your hair with that when the hot water in the shower only lasts a few seconds. The rooms are very small, you cannot open a suitcase without doing it on the bed otherwise you cannot walk around it. Obviously wide photos on the internet are done with a wide angle lense to distort the size of the room. There was never enough tables and chairs for breakfast, guests were eating with plates in their lap and no comment on the “continental” breakfast. For the room rate I was charged I certainly expected better quality and condition. If I had read comments posted late Feb/Mar this year I would have cancelled and gone elsewhere. Future guests beware and look elsewhere and skip Wicker
Not well kept up, the receptions unhelpful
Great location. Nice pool. Our room was super small and did not have enough hooks/drawers/shelves in the bathroom to put the basics. We were there for a week and had to ask to swap out towels and ran out of soap, shampoo & conditioner and were low on toilet paper. We wished somebody had checked vs us having to ask.
Key West is notorious expensive so like with most places there you try to thread the needle between cost and location and this places does that with a reasonable cost (at least for us) and a good location. At most hotels in old town you don't pay for the steak you pay for the sizzle so if you are coming to KW looking for save a few dollars look here. We have stayed at some of there other spots on White Street with good results. The Wicker House is right on Duval Street in a spot that is just past most of the loud bars but still close enough to them to walk. Do you hear noise at night, absolutely there is a bar right next door that gets going early and goes late with live music but it is Key West and if you stay on Duval Street that will happen. Is this a 5 star place? No but it is a 5 star location and the room was clean, spacious, and a great place to spend 6 nights. Add in free parking, pet friendly, pool, and breakfast and it was a great trip. If you want a nice room i a good location this is it.
It was difficult to find space to park and plug in my mobility scooter. I had also requested a first-floor room without stairs and this had stairs. Wasn't terrible but just a little difficult.
The room we were first given had absolutely no view but we worked with the staff and got moved to a room overlooking the pool. That was definitely a make or break move, no one wants to feel like they are staying in a closet when you are in sunny Key West!
Loved it. Especially the pool area.
Great location! Excellent staff, will definitely stay again.
Light was shiny in our window the last night. Otherwise very enjoyable
Great place to stay in Key West
Great old-style property that really felt like Key West. The location on the quiet end of Duval Street was perfect. Denise at the front desk was very helpful. I would definitely stay there again.
The Wickerhouse provided a relaxing and convenient location to Duval st, restaurants and shopping. We would stay here again.
Nice place in Old Town Key West for a vacation
We enjoyed our three night stay. This is a cluster of small buildings with multiple rooms in each. Nice swimming pool and grounds. Right on Duval Street in the middle of restaurants and shopping.
STAY away. Room condition was terrible. When I mentioned it to front desk I was told I could have another room but this was one of their best. I PAID to upgrade. Check comparable properties in area. STAY AWAY!!!!!
Awesome for a weekend away!
We were very happy with the room, location, and price. Please be aware that Key West is a very old city and these rooms are in converted old houses. Our room was clean, the beds were in different rooms for privacy and they had good AC. The location is walkable to anything. 100% would stay here again. Just don’t expect a new resort style property.
Staff worker Denise was wonderful and very accommodating. The rooms looked nothing like described on their website. It was very hard to get hot water. Restaurants on both sides of the building and it was noisy. Our room was on the front of the building which was Duval Street and we had no privacy.
The Wicker Guest House is part of a group of cottage-style properties that share a pool and the breakfast. This place is great. Took my teenage kids and mom for a few days during Spring Break. The staff was amazing, especially Ms. Gigi. The pool area is lovely. I thought the breakfast was great but my teenage boys were disappointed there weren’t scrambled eggs and bacon. Very charming property.
In the heart of the activity on Duvall Street. Staff was great. Nice breakfast included.
Cute little dog friendly hotel close to walk everywhere. Parking was a little tough at certain times of day. But other than that it was nice!
Wicker house is has a great location. It is a block from the Hemingway House and walking distance from all the historic bars. The breakfast is good and the area around pool is beautiful.
The best!
Our rooms were wonderful and the location was amazing! Very convenient, very walkable. We loved it and will return!!
Due to fires in Florida City, the road to Key West was closed. I was unable to make the drive there
Not worth the price of > $400/ night Room was shabby and in poor condition . Loud air conditioner , Obviously broken lamp fixture leaning over . Could here other guests through walls . Dated furniture . Would not recommend staying here .
Great location!
Nice place, great location with fabulous restaurants and bars surrounding the hotel. Short walk to the “main” area on Duval. Wonderful karaoke bar around the corner. Lots of locals who can really belt out a tune, especially the bartenders.
The staff here was awesome! GG made sure we had parking and even called our excursion for us to find out if it was cancelled and gave us other ideas for activities! Couldn’t ask for a better location either!
Stayed here with my husband and 5 year old daughter. Room was spacious and clean. Pool was nice. Convenient for walking. Breakfast in the morning in pool deck was also very nice. Had fresh bagels from Goldman's bagels, fruits, cereals, hard boiled eggs, coffee, and juices. I would definitely stay here again!
The place was just dirty everywhere our window air-conditioning unit. I had to clean the filter. It’s pet friendly so dogs peed on the potted plants. The pool was cloudy. We will never stay there again.
I liked the location it was about a 10/15 minute walk down to the end of Duval Street. The property itself needs an extreme makeover. It just seemed like it hasn’t been “cared” for in years. Our room had power cords all over and the plumbing in our bathroom was loose and old. The bathroom was very outdated with missing grout. We were in room 106 and it was extremely loud all night, being that there is a bar next door that was open well past midnight. The heated pool was nice but again outdated and seemed a little dirty but it was very warm. The continental breakfast is nice in the morning offering a variety of breakfast items (nothing cooked). The lady Denise checking us in was wonderful. Someone from my group did complain about the noise and she was willing to move us but we were only there for two nights so we just stayed and stuck it out. Overall I wouldn’t stay here again for the amount of money we paid. I feel we could have stayed in a nicer well cared for place for about the same amount of money.
Loved the place. Bed definitely needed to be replaced
We have stayed in this hotel twice now the first time in number 106. The air conditioner was extremely noisy and sounded like it was going to die. I told them about it and they said they would address it. Two weeks later we met people that were staying in 106 and they said it was still noisy and sounded like it was going to die. We were in room 216 this time and the floor felt like we were going to fall through it was so soft in places.
This is a dump. Worst vacation rental in my 80 year life. They ignored my complaint about 8 rowdy guys in a two bed room having a drunken party from 2-5am. I realized this is a spring break location but this place is just a filthy dump with no restrictions. I feel sorry for the ladies who have to clean the rooms between guests.
Very convenient right on Duval St. park your car and walk to everything. Staff were nice and helpful even help set up a sunset cruise! The only problem was the room it was clean but could use a update some of tiles in shower were falling off and tiles on floor broke and paint in bathroom was not the best and hardwood floors could use being redone. In all the property could
This place was so easy to find and perfect location! the staff was helpful and communicated very well. I would defiantly stay at this location or one of their other locations which is connected to this property again. The Wicker House has bicycles that you can rent and that is all you need while you stay here! 10/10 stars
Room walls are paper thin.
This used to be a property that only rented to mature adults. But times have changed. Unfortunately it was spring break and they rented rooms to a large number of spring breakers. They would yell and argue outside of their room which was next to ours. The property doesn’t have anyone patrolling the property. Which is needed at this time. So at 3:30am we got awoken to yelling and shouting young adults. This will be my last time staying here. We’ve stayed there for a number of years and they didn’t seem to care that we had issues.
The wicker house was great. I had the best location close to Duvall Street. Definitely coming back.
What a disappointment! After booking the property bc it had a good rating on Expedia and paying $450 a night, we expected it to be at least clean. Never mind to get through the room you had to walk down a dimly lit alley off of Duval Street, and the stained and ripped furniture and area in front of the door looked like something out of a Dateline episode. Once inside, the floors were absolutely filthy (one swipe with a wet towel turned the towel black), there was garbage left under the bed from the previous inhabitants, the vent in the bathroom was full of dust, the toilet full of rust. The room was absolutely tiny, with no closet or drawer space. (All we got were a couple of hangers on a hook on the wall for storage). The air conditioner smelled musty when you turned it on and the fridge froze everything inside of it. Two outlets didnt work. We immediately alerted the front desk and they said they would have someone come clean. We came back from our day out - and housekeeping still hadn't come, but they did drop off an air purifier in the room. We let the desk know again - and still nothing. So we went to bed. Or tried to - the dog in the next room barked ALL NIGHT. We asked to move rooms - they said they had none available even though on Expedia there were available rooms. All we got was another drop off - this time a white noise machine. All for $450 a night! Bonus - no bedbugs, roof didn't leak and towels were thin but thankfully clean. Never again!
Loved staying in a ‘conch house’ which was quirky and comfortable. Swimming pool was lovely and open until 9pm. The hotel is Situated right on Duval St so just park up the car and enjoy all the amenities right on your doorstep. We will definitely be back.
Great location. Friendly and clean
Great location on Duval yet rooms not facing Duval are quiet. Everything seems close by at this location. Good Key West vibes.
Booked the Wicker Guesthouse six months in advance. After doing what I thought was good research regarding location, rooms and reviews. Upon arrival the parking was not as advertised, street parking and parking is a problem in Key West. Checked into room in big disrepair! Chairs with cigarette burns and dirty. Sheets that were like cheese cloth and would not stay on the bed which was long over due to be replaced. Plugs which were only one would not hold in the plug, had to place a waste basket to hold it. Got hot water by running hot water in the sink for 20 to 40 seconds, then turning on the water in the shower. Great, sink was about to over flow, hot water lasted just long enough to get in and get soaped up, then had to repeat to finish shower. Shower tiles were falling off the wall and water flow was terrible. Air conditioner had a code fault and just kept the room some what cool, it was not hot during our stay. Wood work and walls were patched. Upon check out they said they were unaware of condition and we should have said some thing. Place was sold out, weekend, at check in we were informed that there would be no credit for early departure. Now we know why! The pictures on line were most likely staged, went back and looked at more recent reviews, I am convinced this is a bate and switch. Key West is a busy place and we were stuck. STAY AWAY!
Each cottage room was very cute.
We like it. Great location.
Room was small as expected and the bed was comfortable. It was in a good area centrally located. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling and in the shower. The hot water was “on demand” and didn’t work well at all. More than 1 cold shower.
Room was tiny, dirty, run down and severely overpriced and not how it was described. I called and asked specifics about our room and was told it was one of her favorite rooms. The only place to open suitcases was on the bed. Bathroom was tiny and did not have any counter space to put toiletries. After checking in and seeing the horrible room we asked if we could change rooms. None were available and nothing was done to improve our experience. Please do not book this property. You risk being overcharged and greatly disappointed.
Pool was warm. Location was great. Sink drain had odor. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good outside sitting areas were nice. Nice to have place to fill water bottles.
Great location. Worst mattress ive ever experienced.
Expensive & not quite up to par
It was noisy & I didn’t have hot water. Good location for walking around the town
The staff at the Wicker House were phenominal. It is in a fabulous location right in the heart of Duvall St. We were only staying one night for a trip out to Dry Tortugas but we will definitely stay there again when we come back.
Great location but you pay a price
We had a single queen small room and when they say Small they truly mean it. Smaller than any room I’ve seen in US or Europe. It was clean and comfortable and conveniently located. However it was quite noisy until after 2am and just so very very small. The pool areas and the breakfast were great and the staff was nice. Perhaps pick a larger style room and bring earplugs.
Wicker guest house was in the perfect location of everything! Nice rooms that had everything we needed. Staff was very friendly and super helpful!
The only positive thing is location. The old house that was converted to hotel rooms is in very poor condition. The floors were terrible and I felt I could fall through at any time. I would definitely not come back or recommend this place.
Front desk were friendly, room was nice, comfortable, frig, microwave, nice shower but No Hot Water for 2 days! Were told at front desk they could only credit us $50 for ea day
The room I rented was very small, but it served the purpose of a place to sleep! The staff was very friendly and helpful!
Location
The Wicker House was perfect for our short stay in Key West! Location was close to everything yet still quiet inside. We would stay here again when we return to Key West!
We were pretty disappointed for the money we spent. We enjoy staying close to Duval, so we tried this place because it is on Duval. But it fell short on many respects. The night of our check-in, we received a call asking when we expected to arrive. Even though we had already paid our balance and had been given the keys to our room. The room itself was not very well maintained. The caulking sitting the tub/shower was black. The floor was so badly wrapped that the room door had to be pushed all the way open because the bottom ruined the floor. Parts of the floor were chipped because the pergo was too water damaged. We were very disappointed in the housekeeping. The floor was so dirty that, after our first shower, we walked the 5 feet from the tub to the bed and our feet were black. I'm not sure the last time it was mopped. We think that, during our three-night stay, they came in to our room once. The only reason we suspected they came by was because there was a plastic trash can liner on the floor outside the bathroom with what appeared to be fresh bath towels inside. Our used towels were gone so this was our best guess. We did not want to hang out at a bar and pay a cover charge to watch the super bowl so we decided to watch in our room. We ended up having to watch from my cell phone because the 30" TV only received about 6 cable stations well. None of the local channels worked because the TV could not process the signal.
Key west getaway
Great location! Pool was small.
This place is way overpriced. Ice machine didn’t work. Housekeeping wouldn’t give us towels when we asked for some. Floors were dirty. Finding room was confusing.
Good location/staff, subpar room
The staff were amazing and extremely helpful. The location is great, and it’s nice to have a pool/hot tub for so few units..made it feel really private. The staff keeps your car keys and moves your car as street parking comes available, so it was nice not to have to worry about that. The room was not at all what I expected, but at the time of booking I also didn’t select a specific room - just a bed type. It was an attic room with really low, angled ceilings. It was suitable enough for my short stay, but would not recommend for anyone over 5’6 or with mobility issues as the stairs immediately inside the unit are steep. My only real complaint, besides the room not being as advertised, is that I could hear a lot of what was going on in neighboring units and down on Duval St, and the shower’s water pressure was really low.
Key west 3 night stay
Great place to stay on Duval street , had a fab stay in key west and would definitely recommend
Always seems clean and very dog friendly. Nice pool area and plenty of parking available. They provide a small breakfast each morning and it’s right on Duval St. convenient to most everything. We park our car and do not move it again until we leave.
Authentic Key West, but the room we stayed was tired drain in the shower was not working well
Nice on the outside and a great location but underwhelming. A very basic Continental breakfast. In our room, a trickle of water from the bathroom sink, never hot, rust-covered lamp bases, a hole in the a wall. Premium price for low quality.
Great location - walkable to all the major attractions. Perfect for a fun 2 night stay. Pool was nice. Room was comfy, had the “old Florida” charm.
We had a wonderful stay in key west. Roomy, quiet room. Very clean. Great location- centrally located to all sites. Would definitely stay here again.
Location, location, location
Wonderful location, right in the heart of Key West. Walkable to restaurants, entertainment, and tourist attractions. It was a very convenient place to stay and leisurely explore the anrea. Our room was a decent size with comfortable beds. The rooms are spread out in different old homes within a block or two radius and we were visiting with extended family so our rooms weren’t close, but it was doable. Kids loved the heated pool. Parking was provided but pretty tight due to narrow one-way roads. Breakfast was pretty basic. Would definitely stay again.
DON'T STAY HERE! The picture of the property is just the office. The unit we got was down an alley behind other buildings. It can only be described as a shack. Dark, dirty, mold in the bathroom, dirt on the ac, unsafe wiring. We had to wear our shoes to avoid our feet getting filthy from the floor.
I would love to give this place 5 stars, it was clean, staff were great, room was well appointed, bed was the most comfortable I’ve been in in ages. The location is fantastic right in the middle of Duval Street. The only problem was the bar next door Viva who seemed to insist on making as much noise as they could for as long as they could without any consideration for a guest house next door. They seemed to move the entertainment outside right next to the guest house as the evening progresses despite having an inside area. Without these inconsiderate neighbours it would be an idyllic place to stay.
Location at center of Duval was convenient. Polite staff. Bathroom experience was horrible - their hot water on demand never provides hot showers. Tub was up 2 steps and was a power jet tub making climbing in difficult. Other visitors to property were up at 3AM partying making for uneven sleeps along with music from next door on Sunday evening.
Very close to everything.
Our rooms were clean and housekeeping was provided daily. We requested a room with a wall separating the two beds and they were able to honor the request. We did not use the pools but they appeared nice and clean. The breakfast was continental, as advertised, and there was plenty each morning. My only complaint would be that the matress on one of the beds was extremely firm and not comfortable for me personally. I would recommend Wicker House.
I recently stayed at this hotel and was extremely disappointed with the attic room we rented named small junior suite. The space was overpriced for what it was o a cramped, uncomfortable attic with steep, low side walls. You could walk in the middle of the room, as the sides were practically unusable. The room was nothing like the image shown on the website, which was highly misleading. The room had a persistent, unpleasant odor, the windows couldn't be open. I would not recommend staying here. Not a friendly staff at all. The breakfast garden was nice.
Awesome Inn!
Obnoxiously loud pounding music nonstop for 14 hrs
Right next to my room was a bar/restaurant, they blasted pounding, obnoxiously loud music from 10:00 am until midnight everyday, it drove my totally crazy
We absolutely loved our stay our room was right beside the pool and the breakfast area. Breakfast was good every morning. Staff were friendly too. The whole resort is beautiful but the best part is the location on Duval St we loved the walk ability to everything and they stored our luggage before our flight
DT’s review
Great place with great location. Excellent continental breakfast at no extra cost. A little difficult for early to bed types due to music from bar next door but 1am cut off is strictly observed.
Good over night Duval street hotel
Convenient location on Duval street in old key west area. Front desk staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Room was very small but clean. Breakfast was very basic with no hot items. Be mindful Of the extra charge when you check in . Its not included when you book. We prepaid but still had an additional $100 to pay. They mentioned tax but I’m unsure. Many rooms spread out over a block on this property. Two pools as well. Would stay again
the rooms chairs were flighty , lawn cushions ripped and stained . shower was freezing . had to hunt down clean towels.they did not change sheets . crappy breakfast . outdoor lights came through blinds and I may need to see a chiropractor bc the bed sucked . Do NOT stay .
Some dresser knobs missing. Ceiling fan speed stuck on high. Floor uneven, especially around toilet. All in all, a good property and good location. Not exceptional though.
Had a great time--Good location
Property is old, floors were uneven, lights flickered the whole time, fridge flooded.
Very nice place. We would return. The front desk staff was great. Very helpful. Breakfast was good. All in all a good trip Almost everything is within walking distance.
Nice cozy place. Good breakfast also. Great location.
Our room was not in the main area, like we expected. Parking was a horrible experience and our room was old, small and very tired looking. It felt dirty. All of the outdoor furniture was old and nasty.
It a very nice place. Close to everything. They have bikes to rent and we went all around Key West on them.
How much time do you spend in the room anyway?
Walls were very this and sheets were too small for the bed.
The Wicker Guest House was a wonderful choice! The staff were beyond friendly and helpful and the location can’t be beat! Highly recommend for so many reasons!
Decent property, great location. Cleaning services could be better
Whicker Guest House is mostly nice, really. I think this was our third stay there. There are a few things to know. The rooms are somewhat old and eclectic. This time, our room had a jacuzzi hot tub that was hard to step into to just to take a shower. You are staying on Duval street, which can be noisy but other than that the location is great. The price is reasonable.
Central location, clean and comfortable room.
We always stay at Wicker House when in Key West- its right on Duval, spotlessly clean, nice to have breakfast and above all else- Emma is wonderful! I wouldn't stay anywhere else!
The staff was great! We had to stay an extra night due to the Key West Boat was canceled. They found us a room and at a discount. Breakfast was very good, lots of different options.
Disappointing
Dirty fan blades not a big deal. Ceiling fan didn't work, not a big deal, it was winter in the keys. However... No not water. Totally unacceptable. On demand system that required tricks for it to work but didn't. i.e. with sink on hot then turn shower on hot then turn off sink. We had to call maintenance and he had to fiddle with the unit and then determined that the shower was cold if turned to hot so must be on warm. The next day, nothing.
Wonderful place right on the main street of shops and dining! We had a place to sit outside in the evening that was nice with such a small room. The small room had everything we needed.
Great location especially if you do not want a car.
Nice facility in a good location
Really enjoyed this property. Room was spacious and clean. Excellent location being right on duval.
Great staff, location and grounds.
Great property great location
Perfect location to walk to everything.

I liked staying in a historic building with helpful staff, up-to-date rooms, and excellent continental breakfast. Several pools, nice landscaping. highly recommend.
