Staff is awesome! We loved the outdoor element and uniqueness of the experience. Once in a while the heat for the showers was a little cool but overall a wonderful stay!
we loved under canvas. it was quiet, the staff was amazing, we didn’t have to worry about any of our food going bad bc they gave us coolers and ice wherever we needed. all in all an amazing experience. the water was cold but not the worst thing in the world.
Très mauvais rapport qualité prix
Très très mauvais rapport qualité /prix
Such a unique experience for us couple. My wife has been wanting something like this but don’t want the “real camping”. We opted the private bath (includes and shower and toilet). So that we did this! With me waking up at 2am or early morning don’t want to be walking out in the dark and cold! Staff was awesome! The have golf cart to help with your luggage. Their reception area was so welcoming … they Have free coffee, tea.. and s!mores (nice touch!). Barbeque. Fire pit at night! Love it! The fireplace was a cool experience! Watching sunrise while outside sitting outside tent was so unique. Definitely doing this again! Cons: It’s close to the highway so noise is noticeable at night. If you are a light sleeper it can bother you. They do provide ear plugs which help some for me. It is convenient to the arches national park but going back to the place at night it’s hard and seem dangerous. No obvious sign whatsoever where to turn at 65 mile/hour highway… one lane it is inconvenient for other drivers in the highway because you really have to slow down to 50 to be able to catch the turn! Should place a light of some sort to help us know early where the turn is. Obviously if there is still light it’s ok.
Under Canvas was a unique experience! The staff was fantastic and helpful and the tent was amazing!
Our first glamping experience and we loved it!
Great place to stay
We have stayed at several under canvas properties. This was a great location and a good property. The highlight was the under the stars group. The disappointment was NO FOOD in the reception. They really need a cafe like the other properties. It’s 20 minutes plus into Moab so even if the just had breakfast it would be a great upgrade.
The staff was excellent and very accommodating. The stars were unreal! Loved the free ice and cooler rental! The bed was super comfortable. Sat outside at a bonfire pit and had free s’mores! The road in was very bumpy and you heard a little bit from the highway but overall it was an excellent stay!
This was such a fun place to stay on an amazing property with great views. Attention to detail at checkin and by the staff giving the property overview was fantastic. Star-gazing was phenomenal! Definitely a high end way to “camp in a tent”. Power packs as charging stations and rechargeable lamps & fans were great. Do not expect actual electrical outlets. Great common space with complimentary smores and nightly special “events” and fire pits. Good selection of grab n go snacks/breakfast sandwiches, complimentary coffee and water bottle filling. Honestly, the place was perfectly situated for exploring Moab and arches while being out in nature with some of the comforts of a hotel. Beds and linens were top notch and if you don’t make it to the windows section of arches for sunrise, don’t fret b/c the view was ah-mazing right from your tent! Would 10/10 recommend. Also loved the acceptance of wildlife on the property with some Jack rabbits, cottontails, etc happily roaming about at dusk and dawn the way it should be out in the desert under the stars.
.
Great stay! Though it’s a high price, the night sky, location and experience can’t be beat!
Great experience. Staff were very friendly, tent was spacious and comfortable. The live music and s'mores by the fire pit were fun extras.
We loved our stay! Amazing service! Such a cool experience!
Fun experience
This property was beyond my expectations, it was perfect on every level. Just enough of the conveniences of home but being outdoors. The tent was spacious and the beds felt like you were sleeping on clouds. The staff was lovely, I can’t wait to visit another Under Canvas property.
Beautiful scenery and place to stay
Best way to see Moab
The best glamping yet. Stayed in the Stargazer with an en-suite bathroom. Stellar views at night. If you are able to request tent 9, it has patio views of Arches and furthest away from the highway - light noise at night, was not disturbed. Second week of September stay, the midday sun was in high 80s, but cooled to low 50s at night. Some winds the first night, but very calm the following day. The grills are gas (not coal) and all provisions are needed to cook, utensils, plates, bowls, even some spices etc just bring the food.
Amazing stay at Under Canvas Moab! Staff were so friendly and helpful! Fun daily activities organized by the staff (live music, yoga, smore’s, etc). Expensive but totally worth the stay!
It’s very nice and convenient place to stay, but the main road is to close and the noise from the car/trucks is all day and night.
Great place to stay. Staff was delightful. I would stay here again.
The only issue is we wished the shower would stay on not that you have to hold the pull chain the whole time. But then again it is camping and nice to have a shower period!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Under the Canvas, the whole area was comfortable and clean, the staff was kind and helpful, we would definitely stay again.
Cool experience, fantastic hotel alternative
Great Concept - comfort with Tenting!. The Staff was superb! They were pleasant, explanatory, engaging and offered help, ideas, and really enjoyed doing so. They were excellent ambassadors for the concept and property. The common facilities, bathrms, and tent were well done, comfortable, maintained and clean. Instead of just going to another restaurant, we grilled, and met new friends, enjoyed the fires, s'mores. and a little wine. We look forward to going to others!
Great glamping experience, and close to Arches National Park. Some evening entertainment and assortment of snacks and beverages. It was a very hot stretch when I visited and sleeping was uncomfortable one night, even with the provided small fan. No bottled water sold on site. It's a 15 minute drive to the main dining and shopping area in Moab. Nothing within walking distance.
I loved it!
Amazing experience. When it is 100 degrees though it is hot in the tent until night.. it does cool off at night. All else was awesome! I loved the experience! The staff were so kind and helpful.
It’s always such a pleasure to stay here. We stayed during the summer and while yes, it’s warm in the tent during the day, it’s completely comfortable at night with plenty of breeze. I should mention that we are never in the tent during the day so it’s not an issue for us. Staff is super helpful and nice!
Exquisite stay
BEAUTIFUL place and super relaxing. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier. I highly recommend.
Staff was very helpful. Enjoyed the stay.
I had my first experience with Under Canvas and it left me extremely disappointed! First of all, this type of lodging is not for those who know how to camp and stay alone with nature. It definitely is not a place to relax. Running kids, drinking parents, dogs, no place to hide. At night you hear everything, zips going up and down, late night people passing by your tent. What made me laugh is that they kindly leave you a pair of earplugs so you can enjoy quietness, I guess. This concept of glamping has everything except for actual enjoyment of real camping. True nature lovers, beware! Besides, this place needs some maintenance. The tent had holes and was not cleaned well. It was also very hard to find the location especially after dark.
It was a relaxing and fun vacation. The property has beautiful views.
The whole experience
It was an amazing experience and that’s why we chose to stay here even in the high heat! For the experience it was amazing every detail was thought out here A great place to settle after a day of hiking and enjoy the amazing setting
Glamping near Arches
This was our second stay at Under Canvas Moab, the first being 8yrs ago. We highly recommend staying here if you want a change of pace from a traditional hotel or not quite want to full-fledged camp. The staff is great, as are the amenities! Bonus points for seeing the Milky Way at night.
Perfect setting in Moab-Arches, Canyon Lands National Parks
Unique experience and a beautiful place to embrace the Moab landscape. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Emails before our arrival helped us to plan our BBQ dinner on site.
A wonderful stay with just the right amount of amenities and roughing-it. A bit pricey for glamping, but the site was gorgeous, had a nice commons area with smores and evening entertainment and our tent was very clean and comfortable. Even kept the mother-in-law happy!
Superior cleanliness and service! It was a bit windy during our stay, so it made the tent quite noisy, but this was of course beyond staff control. They have a fairly well stocked grab and go food area which is helpful since the location is a good 20 miles from downtown Moab. Location is great for accessing parks!
Super nice glamping option! The tent was in great condition. Bed and linens were very luxurious. From the moment we arrived staff was engaged and helpful. Many offers to help or provide anything we needed. It was very hot when we were there, but the mist provided really helped. Extremely convenient for visiting Arches and Canyonlands and mountain bike trails. Amazing views and brilliant night sky.
Loved everything about the property! Felt very safe and comfortable. My only complaint was out tent was next to the parking so we could hear cars leave early in the am
Hands down the staff!
The views are amazing & staff were friendly & helpful.
Unique experience great adventure
We had such a relaxing stay at Under Canvas. Everyone was so wonderful (sincere thanks to Becca, who was just lovely). They have thought of everything. Highly recommend and would love to go back!
Staying at under the canvas Moab was really a wonderful experience. The tents are much larger than what I expected. The staff were amazing really! Everyone from desk staff to guys driving you to your tent were fabulous! There are so many great things including free smores, free coffee any time, free water free nightly music -I can’t say enough good stuff
Amazing stay, great staff
Loved being in nature but comfortable. I would like to add that food isn't allowed in your tent. Not necessarily a bad thing but I would have planned/packed differently if I had known.
A must stay!
Amazing ! Great place to stay! Loved stargazing all night ! The staff was beyond friendly and they had fire pits and smores every night ! It was amazing !
Phenomenal hospitality and set-up. However: the property is right next to a busy Highway (US Highway 191) - be prepared for a noisy night as noisy trucks make their way up the hill. They provide earplugs in all fairness but it’s a bit of a bummer since the location prides itself in offering a calm respite with stargazing opportunities (which are absolutely out or this world!). Another big concern was the road layout to reach the property. When arriving from West there is a sign for Under Canvas shortly before one could make a left - however, you are on a live and very busy 4-lane highway and have to basically slow down on the overtaking lane, followed by crossing the two lanes where cars and trucks head towards west in the other direction. Extremely dangerous! So we aboted our manoeuvre and drove to Moab to try again approaching the property in a safer manner from East. It’s not much safer though as the exit is very abrupt and on a downhill section of the highway where cars and trucks tend to speed up. Not ideal for making a slowdown and sharp 90 degree right turn. Overall very shocked by this and would urge management to do something about this extremely careless layout. Otherwise we want to highlight that staff and facilities have been nothing but amazing.
Under Canvas Moab far exceeded expectations! All amenities were extremely clean and accessible, friendly staff, and a beautiful tent with amazing views! What more could you ask for!
Wonderful and close to Arches National Park
Wonderful property and great service. It was very cold the first night of our stay in April
This was a bucket list item for me. I don't believe it was at all worth the price. The tent was cold and loud. The stove does nothing to warm the tent. The showers do not regulate the hot water so it was either extremely hot or cold. We were put in a handicap tent and the ramp blocked the view as the mirror in the bathroom was too low for someone not sitting. On our second night, there was a wind storm and the tent flaps and there was no way to get any sleep. We also had a gentleman from corporate enter our tent with no warning and notification from staff. THe views are amazing and the staff was wonderful but definitely not worth the money. Moab has views everywhere, stay closer to town. This location is far out from town and restaurants.
Fantastic home base while in Moab!
Loved it! The property was beautiful and the tent was awesome. All of the staff were incredible and so helpful.
Back again
This is our second time at Under Canvas Moab and we love it. The people are generous and helpful, the amenities are great for the desert and the location is incredible. At the end of the day, you’re in a tent so be mindful of that if you want luxurious comfort and don’t want to be affected by the elements. But if you love the outdoors and camping, it’s a place you must stay at!
View was amazing, property is close enough to town but feels secluded. Amazing team, so welcoming and go above and beyond to make you feel like you're at home while experiencing the outdoors.
The tents were right on the highway and the truck traffic at night was non-stop. I didn't sleep at all. Terrible location
Great convenient location while visiting the area around Moab. Love the concept and a very unique stay. This is not the place to seek quiet. It is close to the highway and train track. You will hear trucks all through the night and 1 or 2 trains. The winds were high one evening and woke us due to the canvas flapping and moving. Wish it were in a better location only for the noise. Otherwise a fun glamping experience!
This was such a wonderful, unique experience. We used the bath house and it was clean and equipped with towels, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. The staff were great!
Awesome place
This place is awesome especially if you love camping. The tents were well appointed and the staff super friendly! I would stay here again if I came back to Moab.
This was wonderful!!!
The canvas experience was awesome. Quiet, serene and enjoyable. From the fireplace to the king size bed and shower/restroom, it is one of our favorite places to stay.
We had a great experience at Under the Canvas Moab. The workers were extremely kind and helpful. Everything was clean, and it was fun to hang out by the fire and listen to music. Heads up, food is not allowed in the tents. If you plan on bringing a pet, you will have to feed it in the parking lot, main tent, or outdoor eating area. Not that big of a deal just thought it would be a good thing to add.
Staying Under Canvas was unique and cool experience. Moab Under Canvas was near highway so traffic was loud and hard to stay asleep. Staff was excellent and facilities were nice. We didn’t use wood burning stove so it was fairly cold in the mornings (40s) but beds were completely comfortable and warm. Having to hold water handle down was difficult to wash hair/shower. Regardless, do recommend to experience for at least one night.
By far the fanciest tent I’ve ever stayed in
The tents were nice and comfortable, the only issue was the weather, but Under Canvas can't control that. We stayed here in early April and the night time temps dropped to about 30 degrees or less. The only heat in the tents is from a wood burning stove that you have to keep lit all night. While the stove is awesome, it heats very well, actually almost too well. It was very warm in the tent with the fire going. However, we chose not to get up every hour to feed the fire, so it was very cold in the morning. This would be an awesome place to stay if the weather would have been warmer. The outside tables are nice too, but since it was windy, they were not as pleasant, although we did eat out there one night.
A very cool place to stay. I saw the Milky Way. Convient to Canyon Lands (better that the Grand Canyon) and Arches NPs. Entertainment was live music . I wish there were more food options . We had to go into Moab for food. Garrett was very helpful
We absolutely loved being outside for the two days of Arches immersion experience. The sunrise around the camp is out of this world.
Very well located for access to the national parks. Friendly staff. Beautiful setting. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is the freeway noise.
Nice and clean. Friendly staff.
Difficult stay
Like sleeping under a highway bridge on a too short mattress
This location is conveniently located near Arches NP and Canyonlands NP. I stayed in the safari tent (shared bathroom). This is a true glamping experience and all travelers should know that Under Canvas has no control over the weather here in Moab, so be prepared for windy cold nights, or hot summer nights. They are not a hotel either. Dress and pack accordingly. The tent can get loud from the high winds, but Under Canvas staff will accommodate any way they can. They are truly hospitable, friendly, and helpful. The facility is clean. They have great ameneties. I thought the the value and experience was truly worth the price.
Great location. We loved the community and activities.
Very relaxing
Second stay at an Under Uanvas property. Everything was great and as advertised. Only complaint would be the highway traffic noise at night took away from the camping experience.
Great atmosphere s as bad fun music, lobby, fire pits. Rooms were great and comfortable
Too noisy and cart traffic at all hours. Thanks for the ear plugs in the rooms, haha.
I felt completely duped. The place was described as luxury glamping. It was located next to a very busy highway. We got no sleep and left a day early.
Checked in at 8:00. Loving it so far!! Will have detailed reviews tomorrow
Beautiful and scenic way to spend a night. The tents were so clean and cozy - very fun and unique experience. Only downside was the road/train noise, but we would stay again!
Was amazing to sleep somewhere, where outside it was pitch black, but still had pretty good amenities for the room.
Such a beautiful place! The views are amazing and the staff was beyond helpful.
Great experience. Close to Moab and Arches and Canyonlands. Super comfortable. Staff was great!
Loud road noise but a must experience none the less.
I’ve received such a pleasant experience while staying at Undercanvas Moab. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Definitely recommended and would comeback for sure.
A great experience, even if the heat was excessive (that's what you get in July). Staff all really friendly and helpful, really useful that you could borrow cool boxes, and they did everything thing they could to provide a cooling environment (towels and ice, frozen water bottle). Facilities all good. Highly recommend, but maybe avoid in the full blaze of summer.
Beautiful but noisy
Enjoyed our one night stay in spite of a bad storm, tents held up well. Beautiful location and well maintained property, however the noise from the nearby road did bother us quite a bit.
Perfect night. Clear skies.
10/10 definitely coming back, I recommend to others who are looking for a honeymoon spot or even just a vacation. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. If anything was broken or needed replacing like battery packs they were quick to do so. They have ice chests on site, water refill station, even ice if you want or need ice. August is definitely the time to go the heat is bearable but at night it’s cool so you can comfortably sleep. Yes you can hear the Highway but if you are a person who needs white noise to sleep you’ll sleep like a rock.
Spectacular views. Close to Arches National Park
Tents were insanely hot. Fans were inadequate. Misters provided some relief by were turned off at 8:30 pm. Bathhouse also uncomfortably hot.
Awesome
Best way to stay. Was very nice and clean
Just as advertised!! Great place overlooking Arches National Park. The staff were amazing. Will definitely stay at another Undee the Canvas property.
This place is awesome! I made the mistake of staying here in the summer when it was 102 degrees and stayed in the 90s at night because there was no AC. There were 2 tableside fans that helped alleviate the heat a bit. Will definitely come back and stay here when it is cooler outside, since there’s a fire place in the tent. The views are gorgeous and the staff was so friendly! It’s right off the throughway near the entrances to Dead Horse Park and the Arches!
Poor value in July
While we understood that this was a camping experience and we were there in July, which is a very hot time of year for Moab, we would have expected that paying $579/night for a private bathroom would have resulted in water that was not so scalding hot that it was unsafe for use in washing/bathing except for very early in the morning (even after sunset it was still too hot). The only fans available for the tents were three very small (5") personal fans, one of which would not stay on. There were cold water misters only in the reception area and not in the tents, although they had said there would be misters in the tents when I called. Again, for the glamorous price, we would have expected a bit better options for cooling in 100+F temps. Some other things that were of concern: they didn't use recyclable water bottles - we were told we just had to "throw the aluminum bottles away" and also charged $6-7 for an expresso. Although the surroundings were beautiful, far enough away from civilization and close to Arches, the noise from the road was quite loud. Maybe in a cooler time of year the tents would have felt more like places to be cozy, but in July they were just places where you felt like you were being cooked.
The noise from the highway ruined what should have been a unique & tranquil experience. The addition of a sound barrier could make an enormous difference.
Staff not very friendly everything else was perfect
