It’s close to everything , ok for a quick stop for the night then move on

The parking in front of the rooms was very tight. I was concerned someone may back into my car from the rooms opposite

Good location, close to town. Stayed there when I evacuated from the fires. Staff was very nice

upon arriving at the property I was told that they didn't have any rooms available despite wotif confirming my booking earlier that day. The person at reception was apologetic and help me find a more expensive alternative but it was disappointing none the less. It was not clear whether the hotel or wotif were responsible.

Why have a toaster? No knife or plate. Everything about this room Was depressing. The lights were terrible. Especially in the bathroom "cubicle"

Pleasant place to stay but the parking was awkward as there were some big vehicles

Our room was very outdated compared to others ive stayed in. Our bathroom sink was disgusting. The room smelt odd to start with and there is minimal air flow. Two tiny windows. Bed was very wobbly and way to soft. I put a review on when we arrived. The owner then decided to come and speak to me about it. She knocked and just barged in she was the most rudest person ever! Defiantly not how you run a business. I told her it was my opinion because I’ve stayed at other places around Bairnsdale and this was in comparison. She was loud mouthed and didn’t like anything I had to say. So rude!! Never will be staying there again.

Very hospitable staff, good value, clean, comfortable basic accomidation, perfect for overnight stop over.

For a budget motel. This one is wonderful. Was warmly welcomed and nothing was to much trouble. Would definitely visit again.

Nice people very friendly. Room small but clean sheets, pillows and net curtains looked new. A bit of a smell in the corner!! Small bathroom but clean.. The air conditioner heating is high for a short person to turn on.

When we booked they advertised they had a microwave but there was no microwave. Also the heating was too old and sounded like a jet engine and was inefficient so it was not comfortable.

Helpful staff.good location .clean and tidy room. Great position off highway easy to enter and exit Highway traffic can be a little noisy

Ideal for overnight travel.

The motel, although being old, was clean, comfortable and convenient for an overnight stay when travelling. It was true to its name- ‘Travellers Rest’ Recommend Rustic Ranch Eats, the restaurant next door to the motel.

Great host would stay there in the future if passing through.

For the money it was good but parking was very tight. Staff were good, the room was clean, everything worked but shower was ordinary.

Not suitable for our needs.

Distinct lack of drawers and shelves to store clothes, etc. Inadequate hanging space for the number of outfits we needed. Car park so small that it was necessary to reverse out onto the busy highway on one occasion, due to the car park being nearly full.

Was a good stay. Everything was good. Rooms, locations, facilities, climate, staff, was a very good hotel. Just a simple and affordable hotel to stay. Recommend to anyone.

Motel was convenient, close to shops etc. Facilities very clean, basic room and bathroom. Bed comfortable. Husband and wife owners friendly. Breakfast offered at extra charge. No microwave in room - drawback. Motel quiet, despite being in midtown. Small - only 15 rooms, which I liked - less patrons to make noise at night!

it was a nice experience except for the shower if u turned the hot and then turned the cold on the cold would over take the hot

Comfortable and convenient.

Very convenient. Staff were very helpful with parking facility. Also, after leaving a personal item in the room, staff were most cooperative to make an arrangement for storage and collection.

Budget comfort

Reception was personable and room was clean and comfortable. Parking can be tight if full of vehicles which could be challenging for some. Was reasonably quiet, a nice stay and good valye for the $$.

make sure you take your own washing machine to wash the bed sheets, also a can of glen20 to steralize the room, and a can of surface spray to kill the cockroaches. the worst place I have ever stayed

centrally located-great value for money

This is a basic hotel, but the cleanliness and friendly staff where 5 star...great value for money, if your looking for somehwere quiet, clean and comfortable for the night....I would definitely stay there again

This motel is within walking distance of the CBD, and the Mitchell River Hotel is next door for meals and drinks

The Travellers Rest Motel has a name that is well suited to this establishment as it's no resort, but perfect for a short stay, to rest and be on your way.. The rooms are small and quite dated, but clean and adequately equipped .. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rates are reasonable .. I'd stay there again as a stopover point or if I needed a bed for the night in Bairnsdale ..

Very basic room. Ok for a one night stay. Room is very old and hard to park in the front.
