Room and common areas were very clean and easy to check in and check out. I would bring my family to stay there if I were visiting Seward again.

The place was very clean and nice, and easy to check in. The problem is that you cannot run the heat and the coffee maker at the same time. I could certainly have worked around this inconvenience, if I had known about it. There was no sign on the counter, only a note about it on the 4th page of the house manual - past the page about a local gym. When I got to the page I did not read further. I got up at 3:00 am, took a shower, and turned on the coffee pot and blew the breaker to the entire place. I texted, but got no response. By 6:00 am it was cold and dark - so with wet hair I left to find some place to get ready for work. I was very disappointed that I was not made aware of this situation.

Rooms are very cute and somewhat of a modern chic. The bed sheets left us extremely itchy and there were hair entangled in it. Couldn’t get the tv to work and even tho we contacted there “highly responsive number” she never responded and butt dialed me? There was a man that was trying to look into our window and watched my family go inside( not sure if he was another guest or passing by) made the night uncomfortable knowing we are being watched. I love the amount of towels provided. Door will lock sometimes but have to fiddle with it or else it will stay unlocked.

Room was large and had everything we needed. Owners were friendly and very responsive. Good location close to lots of things.

Apartment was lovely. Only thing I would say is the bed is in the main room which has the entry door next to it - unfortunately the door’s glass window let alot of street lighting in which woke us up. A first world problem I know.

It was clean and it met our needs - and the management did a great job of telling us about the area and things to see, do, eat etc etc.. well done

We checked in after a hike on a rainy cold day and fell asleep in the comfy beds. Clean, spacious, cozy… we feel rested and relaxed - thank you!

Very easy check in. Room was thoughtfully decorated and bed and pillows comfortable. Mini fridge and microwave. Negative: On main Highway with lots of lights. Needs a covering over door window.

Great place to stay.

Great place to stay in Seward! We loved our stay here. The free shuttle has a stop right on the corner of the property. Very walkable to shopping, restaurants and the aquarium. Room was clean and comfortable!

Interior was above our expectations. It would nice to have an office to leave luggage at when arriving by cruise ship before check in time. They have a place down the street, but it is a little sketchy. Pick up for the free shuttle was right outside the door, and many great food and shopping options were within walking distance. Office staff answered quickly and were helpful in helping us plan our trip, set up excursions, and check in a little early. Highly recommend!

Comfortable stay

The location of this property is amazing. Right at the center of the town with an amazing coffee and breakfast place ( Resurrection Coffee House) across the street. The harbour is just a few mins drive ( for a day cruise to the Kenai Fjords NP) and so are all restaurants in the area. The room was clean and had everything we could have possibly needed for our stay. Loved having the Dove body wash and Pantene shampoo and conditioner. They also had Oatmeal sachets and lovely teas. Highly recommend for a comfortable stay in Seward.

The bed is comfortable !quite and clean！

Although the outside of the property isn't so attractive - the inside is quite comfortable and clean. Access was easy and the luggage storage next door was convenient. We were right next to the free shuttle stop and the Sea Life Center and shopping area was within walking distance.

We felt safe and comfortable. It was a good location. Not too far from everything.

Clean rooms and quiet. Staff had everything provided for a great stay.

The rooms were very nice, clean, and updated. Easy check in and out. The building itself is in need of some updates. Laundromat attached to the building which was convenient for us. Good location- walk to many restaurants and stores and just about a mile to the harbor.

Easy walk to dining, shopping, entertainment, shore etc. GREAT experience.

Great Stay

We would definitely stay at Trailhead Lodge again. It was an excellent location right near downtown Seward. Comfortable accommodation with everything we could need.

This was the best place we stayed out of the six hotels of our Alaska trip. Our room was beautifully decorated, spacious, clean, and close to everything in Seward. In addition, it had gorgeous views of Mt Marathon. We could have happily stayed here for weeks. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Seward!!

Perfect stay

Management sent us lots of helpful area suggestions that helped on our drive to Seward from Anchorage. Our room #5 was spotless and the inn is conveniently located in town.

New wiring needs to be done on this property. I innocently blew a circuit two times because heater on another outlet with microwave on simultaneously. Other travelers at property had similar problems. Other than that room comfortable and stocked with amenities. Staff very responsive to power outages, but shouldn’t have happened in first place.

Solo traveler - comfortable & safe

I traveled to Seward solo and Trailhead Lodging was very convenient to restaurant and shops. I felt very safe and the room was very clean and comfortable!

This was a great, clean, cozy room to stay in. Check in and out were easy. Great location that you can walk to many dining options. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it.

Perfect place to stay in while in Seward.

The room was central to town and hiking and had everything we needed…microwave, coffee maker and mini fridge.

Great place to stay

This property is great, Easy check-in, Clean spacious room, lots of hot water, good water pressure. There was also a binder with lots of information about the area and its history. Also contained local restaurants, coffee shops, and things to do. Etc. Just Excellent

Quite surprised

Stayed here during the winter months. Very clean and cute. I was worried that it might be loud next to the laundry mat but never heard a thing. I would absolutely stay here again.

At first I wasn't sure what to expect when I arrived, but my room was VERY clean and comfortable. I would stay here again.

Trailhead lodging was almost exactly what we were looking for. The only reason for 4 stars was the bed and pillows were not very comfortable to me. Everything else was excellent.

Clean and up to date room. Coffee and filters provided so we were able to make plenty of coffee, both regular and decaf. Lots of personal touches by owner. Easy to walk to every where in the town.

Perfect place to stay for a few days in Seward! Walkable to most things in town. The owners gave great recommendations for things to do on the way to town and were very attentive.

Loved staying here. Staff were so kind and communicative.

Amazing hotel

We loved the friendly manager, the ultra clean room, ease of checkin, and the beautiful decor inside. Definitely would stay again if in Seward again.

Lovely room with coffee and fixings ready to go. Off street parking. Very convenient to downtown shops, restaurants, and museums. Next door laundry mat was a plus.

Our particular room was small but the details were awesome. From the coffee bar to overall cleanliness - highly recommend.

Great place for the price.

The old saying “Don’t judge a book by its cover” certainly applies here! I was anxious about this stay on our Alaska vacation, just not really sure about the whole room at the laundry mat thing, but we were shocked when we opened the door of the room. Really clean, comfortable bed, great 2 night stay and would highly recommend.

Don't judge a book by its cover! We had an interior room and were very pleased and surprised to see the crystal chandelier in the entryway! The room was also very welcoming and comfortable!

Loved staying here. Plenty of room for one or two people. Amenities provided were great, with drip coffee maker, microwave, and fridge. Was very cozy feeling and nice little touches. I found bed quite comfortable and the shower/bath was nice. All very, very clean.

My realistic rating is 4.9. Overall, this is a great little place to stay. However, there’s a small stained glass window in the door. Although pleasing to the eye, there is no way to block the light making it hard to sleep for those who turn in before sunset.

Our room was perfect and the location was great. We got to walk to the Sealife Center in a short amount of time. Definitely would recommend! Hope we will get a chance to come back soon to Alaska and stay here.

very clean and artsy; convenient and walkable to the Sealife Center

The location towards the downtown area is in easy walking distance. But there were exactly 1 coffee filter per day, no house keeping, warning signs from $500 fees for smoking to $20 for removing shampoo bottles, and an overall warning to not be loud, or steal from the room. Two cups, two glasses, no plate or knife, just bare to the minimum, especially in bad weather when one has to spend more time in the room. Disappointed. The location next to the public laundromat made it a busy and noisy place.

This little place was wonderful. It's cute, and unassuming from the outside but lovely once inside. The place was clean, had a futon, fridge, microwave, and hair dryer. I thought the decor was cute and liked the added touch of the low maintenance real live succulent in the room as well as the flowers outside the entrance. We stayed in room 3, one of the smaller rooms, but appreciated that there were 2 doors to unlock and felt double safe :) We liked the contact free check-in. There is a list of names and room assignments hanging outdoor upon check-in. There are instructions how to access your room and it worked great. Totally clean, cute and within walking distance of lots of dining, etc. We would stay here again.

The property was very centrally located in Seward and the bed was very comfortable. They provided us with a large warm blanket, which for someone like me who gets cold easily, was fabulous. I have nothing but great tho go to say about our stay here. If we come back to Seward this is where we’ll be staying.

This is such a charming lodge close to main attractions. The city offers free shuttle and the lodge is close to the shuttle stop which makes it super convenient. The place is clean and cozy. The check in process is super easy, without a hassle. If you are looking for something comfortable without the feeling of a hotel, this is the perfect place. It made us feel a bit of Alaskan.

Was better than even the photos made it appear. The location is very conveniently located close to a shuttle stop so it is easy to get around town. The room has a cold refrigerator so we bought breakfast items, soda and water and had plenty of room. There was also a coffee maker, and plush towels. In fact, my only complaint was the bed was not my favorite. Everything endear was spot on and the owner was great! They even stored our luggage.

A comfortable place with a mysterious noise

The room was clean, and it was located close to the bars and restaurants. The only issue was the weird noise coming out of a wall in room number 4.

Trailhead was super convenient, clean and comfortable. We had two minor issues that were resolved quickly. I loved being able to walk to restaurants, waterfront and tours.

Totally good stay in Seward

Don’t let the outside fool you - in a town with limited options this is a great place to stay. Updated, clean stay with all your basics. Located one block off of downtown and a 20 minute walk from the train stop/cruise port.

Room was very small. Was supposed to be for 3-4 people but not big enough. Did not even have a full bath.

Nice stay

Everything was excellent but the bed could have been more comfortable. The bed frame felt like it was going to break every time I rolled over. I think two adults is definitely over the recommended weight limit.

Everything was great except for height of the fridge. My suggestion would be to elevate it by about 1.5ft.

I was looking for a clean room that was walkable to dining and the downtown Seward center. This fit the bill! I would definitely stay here again!

Good enough for the location

Overall our stay was ok. I will say Seward has very limited options so this was probably just fine for Seward. The two beds were so small, and the room could fit bigger beds if they didn’t have a large table in the room. I don’t think any of us got a good nights sleep the whole week, just “okay” nights of sleep. Additionally, getting fresh towels and such was a struggle. We always had to ask for towels or toilet paper, nobody came in and made beds, etc. It was much more like an Air BnB than a hotel which was disappointing given the cost. That said, the proprietor did contact us to ensure our safety during a tsunami warning and when we did ask for service we got it, just felt like we had to ask for things you don’t typically have to ask for at a hotel. The suggestions I’d have are 1. Get bigger beds (at least queen sized) and 2. Make sure the room cleanings/restocking is being done.

This was a fabulous place to stay. Very clean, decorated very tastefully and one of the best parts was that it was located right next to a laundromat. Never saw any of the staff, but had great instructions to access our room. Very convenient location. Would "definitely" stay again!

The place was spotless, well appointed and had everything needed for the stay; located only a few blocks from the main points of attraction, makes it easy to get in and out. Our only issue was with the TV - it uses Roku for programming and requests account information (not available) for most viewing choices. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to everyone.

That was a surprising property for me in a good meaning. There is no front desk but you will get all the instruction so the check in can't be easier. Our room was very nice, clean and renovated. The location is very convenient, walking distance to downtown, a minute walk to local coffee shop. There is a cute small patio on the side of the building with a beautiful view which I loved a lot. I'd definitely recommend it to others and I'd for sure stay here again!

Good central location for planned activities while visiting Seward. Very comfortable beds, good information book providing useful local information. Limited in room choices such as cable tv or artificial sweetener which to some is a necessity. Friendly staff to provide extra room toiletries when requested. Considering challenges of staffing during this pandemic was satisfied with this lodging
