The room is spacious and quiet, and the hotel staff are very friendly. There are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The hotel also provides convenient access to the shopping mall. Overall, I’m very satisfied with my stay.

The Sukhothai has been my favorite hotel in Shanghai for years! I used to stay during Covid when we couldn’t leave China but I needed to feel like I was on vacation. They even decorated my room once for my birthday! Love this hotel!

Ideally situated in the heart of Puxi Shanghai with lots of areas to explore. Rooms are quite nice and quiet. Really satisfied with my stay.

Luxurious and comfortable

Sukhothai SH is always cosy, comfortable and great service; Great location, friendly and efficient staff, discrete and upscaled; can not recommend enough.

A nice alternative to the Bund area which is a lot more crowded with tourists. Some lovely local stores and high end malls all walking distance. Hotel was great - not the breathtaking variety but rooms are large and stylish.

I absolutely loved my stay at the Sukhothai. I live in Shanghai and decided to have myself a luxurious "staycation" and was so happy I did! Everything from the service to the room and amenities to the spa was absolutely wonderful and I definitely will return again in the future for another weekend "away."

Stayed one night here. Enjoyed the stay. The hotel is clean, modern, and very accessible to shopping and eateries as it is connected to a shopping mall.

The Spa is excellent! The indoor pool is good all year round. The location is great, the area is walkable and further tourist locations are accessible by the subway close by.

The hotel is fantastic. Good design, good service, good location.

Special Stay

Fantastic stay. Very attentive staff and sweet gesture. Was my wedding anniversary stay: special thanks to Nora and Corina for the hand made cards of well wishes of our anniversary and all staff for the special decorations, cake, balloons to make our stay such a special one. Love the heated pool to maintain as 28°c for a good swim for December cold weather.

Absolutely wonderful hotel, great weekend nest

What a fantastic hotel. Beautiful design, lovely amenities, great pillow selection :D Really really enjoyed our stay! A couple of suggestions for improvement: 1. There were a few light sources in the room which were distracting (I love a pitch black room) --> Sonos, phone, thermostat. Suggest covering these / making them dimmable 2. The Urban cafe had run out of a lot of things when we went on Saturday afternoon (also, had to ask for the hot chocolate to be made more chocolatey, it was too milky for my taste initially)

Room size outlook and design was modern clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay again. Service was friendly and efficient. Staff helped me locate places every day as my apps weren’t working. Location is super convenient

Beautiful architectural, modern & luxury Hotel

I like the minimalist style and thoughtful service inside out. Though for the arrangement of my own toiletries, I wish they’d check my preference of how to place them instead of placing them looking nicely but not in accordance to my actual need

The swimming facility is excellent and so is the changing room. The toiletry is of excellent quality from Grown Alchemist. Poolside detox drink made from fresh veggie and fruits is a big plus for me. Minibar got free refill daily with a generous selection of drinks. Love the decor and the perfect location.

Here for work, stayed for the Fitness Centre

Great sized room, with comfortable bed, tub, shower, and everything to make yourself at home. The place was immaculate and I'd definitely stay here again, cannot think of a single thing to complain about. The fitness centre was the best I've ever experienced from a hotel. Really great place to work out. Complimentary Wireless Headphones were an excellent touch.

Great location with warm service

LOVE IT! It's standard style and service of Sukhothai; Staffs are warm and helpful, room is clean with many warm details like welcome tea set, Yoga mat, Nesprsso coffee also red and white wins in room for you. My favor are the bathrobe and slippers, very well chosen and great comfortable to wear. However, will defiantly come back next time!

Very nice hotel

Very comfort and nice location

I don't have any negatives to say about this property. People asked me why didn't I stay at those Western properties by the bund for the price i paid. After staying in Sukhothai for four days, i definitely come back next time. The property is right next to HKRI Taikoo Hui which is a fairly popular shopping mall. Starbucks Reserve, HeyTea, LeleCha are all just 5 minutes walk away. We got an executive king room and it's one of the spacious room i even stayed in. I was surprised by the welcome tea and fruit set and the turnover services. The room is very chic and modern, i love the color palate of the room which gave me a sense of getaway from the noisy streets in the city. The only small complain i had was the light control system. I wish i could dimmer the lights by/over my bed instead of lighting up the entire room at once.

Fantastic hotel. Service was amazing, location was unbeatable, facilities are impecable and breakfast was absolutely delicious. Everyone at the hotel was very helpful and courteous. We were greatly impressed. Thanks for the experience!

Needs to improve food quality

The hotel is in great condition and the people at Reception were very nice and spoke excellent English. After check-in however, I had a lot of trouble communicating effectively with servers, room service and cleaning staff. (I’ve been an ESL teacher, so I’m pretty good about communicating in a language challenged situation. The tacos in Zuk Bar were nothing special and the breakfast buffet was also not what I expected for the hotel price.

It was a super busy day with large group checking in and the check in assistant really help me out to speed things up.

Spectacular Sukhothai

We had the best hotel experience thanks to the beautiful hotel and Lance. The breakfast spread was absolutely delicious...huge variety from western to eastern style breakfast and everything in between. The Zuk bar was also spectacular. Our stay really was pulled all together by Lance who made sure we had a good plan for new things to experience. He even gave us a tour of the hotel from the art on the walls to the spa and even the mall next door.

Amazing location and rooms very clean and so comfortable. Service top notch. My next home in Shanghai.

You will never regret to stay with them!!!

Is my first time visit China and Shanghai is the first destination that I’ve visited. The Sukhothai Shanghai gave me a wonderful stay and a memorable trip! Like the ambiance, service, and politeness of the staff. I would like to say thank you very much towards Guest Relation Team, F&B-Breakfast team at Urban Cafe, and Housekeeping Team who cleaned my room daily and also turn down service. Everything was great and pleasant. Only one negative point that I would like to mention here. - It will be great and plus point to In-Room Dining team if upon deliver the dinner, staff (a lady) will have a great smile, or soft and polite. I had the In-Room Dining for 2 days continuously, the first time is very well served, but the the 2nd day is a little bit rude. But yet, I'm fine with it and I guessed they might be a busy period. Overall, I would like to share with everyone that, you will never regret to stay with The Sukhothai Shanghai if you visit Shanghai. They are lovely staffs and wonderful hotel to be staying with.

Comfy Cozy Luxury

The hotel is a new luxury entrant to the Shanghai market. The hotel is in the fashionable new development in Jingan District with easy access at the nearby MRT. The hotel rooms are quite nice and make you feel like you are in a luxurious, yet comfy home. I used the fitness center and enjoyed meals in the lobby restaurant. On my last trip, I had dinner at the hotel's Italian restaurant and had drinks in the gin bar. You cannot go wrong staying here.

Beautiful new Old Town location is great also. Near lines 2 and 13.

One of the best hotel! Great Location, Friendly, Clean and New! However there is always a fly in the ointment - the variety and quality of their breakfast need to be improved. Highly recommended and will come back again.

A,warm welcome from GM and staff - fun, modern property, great location - good f & b ! Spacious rooms! Overall fun - a bit of feedback : as it's an international market, staff shouod be more fluent in English - it gets confusing and frustrating at times but will definitely go back- thank you !!

Great location, nice rooms

Superb location within the XingYe Taikoo Hui complex. Great rooms, very comfortable bed, beautiful and clean bathroom, great bathtub, nice personal touches with the toiletries and amenities. The only shortfall is breakfast - very disappointing selection and quality.

Best hotel ever!

Best hotel ever!! Superb service, everything is so clean and new! Reception staff is so friendly and helpful! Both my husband and I recon that out of all the hotels we have stayed, this one definitely has the best shower! And I love having wooden floor in the bedroom instead of carpet, nice and clean and spacious! Highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is going to stay in Shanghai! You will not regret it!

A disappointing stay

The stay started with an uncomfortable conversation at checkin. After the receptionist retrieved my booking, she suggested my room wasn’t very spacious and at the end of corridor (bad location in Chinese culture) and asked if I want to pay ¥xx to upgrade my room. Obviously I was not thrilled about this and rejected. Then she said given I was staying for the first time, she would upgrade me...While I was happy about the end result, the overall handling of the checkin didn’t strike me as the standard such hotel should have. The worst experience came at breakfast. There were BUGS flying over the bread counter. After pointed that out, the manager asked the chef to give me a new bun but did NOTHING with the bread on the counter! The last episode was at the swimming pool. You are not allowed to use the pool if you don’t have a swimming cap. I don’t think this is an absolute industry standard and as such, the hotel should have remarked this requirement on the facilities section.

Everything was good except the hotel entrance is a bit hidden and not very well known by local drivers.

Feels good experience

Nice hotel. Friendly staff, new facilities and clean room validated my feeling of “I have made the right choice in choosing to stay at the Sukhothai Shanghai.

I had a wonderful experience with a very exceptional quality of service which I had never had in China. I will return here.

服務質素並沒有匹配上酒店的风格

哪裡感覺到thai? 除了名字。 服務員仪容沒有規範，甚至可以聞到早餐的廚師身體的汗水味。 樓层公共空間应该有三十度。 維修員不懂得幫我處理手機投屏。 健身房不錯。 泳池水沒有恆溫。救生員穿著髒球鞋在池邊行走。

適合蜜月的酒店

這是一家適合年輕人的酒店，對於老年人不太方便，今次我們二間房，住12晚，酒店以深黑色為主，而且房間與衛生間沒有正式的門，有點不方便，這次很不幸，我們住310，312房間，之後幾天309裝修，很大一陣臭味，311也裝修，好像在拆廁所，灰塵通過空調系統進入我們房間，雖然最後一天幫我們換了房間，還送了早餐，但是我們二人都開始過敏，影響了之後的旅程，我們離開上海之後，去了日本福岡七天，第二天就要去醫院。

2호선 난징서역에서 걸어서 10분. 주변에 대형몰. 식당. 핫플 많지만 호텔위치는 조용하고 한적한 느낌. 턴다운서비스 열심히 해주셔서 아주 청결하고 편안함

Amazing hotel

Suhkothai made our whole experience in Shanghai most memorable and enjoyable. The location was fantastic! Decor fits our taste and staff were super helpful and friendly.

10 Days with Sukothai

The hotel is young and staff call you by your surname. The hotel had trained their staff well. More choice of restaurant or casual dining will be better

A Hidden gem

Very good impression with check-in service. The room is quite bigger than other hotels. The standard room is big enough to stay for 3 persons. The king bed was the biggest I’ve ever seen. The hygiene is outstanding. Everything is new & clean. The gym is not big but the equipments are quite new and very well organized. The swimming pool is not big but also very clean and well managed. Their changing room is excellent. Very big and the sauna & steam room are outstanding. I want to revisit this hotel for the sauna. The breakfast is disappointing. Very few choices.. hope it gets better. Only one unsatisfied thing in this great hotel. Thanks for making us a wonderful staycation experience. (I emailed that it’s our wedding anniversary staycation and the hotel prepared us for beautiful balloons, cake, fruits and handwritten card. Thanks a lot!)

要批评的是酒店大堂的泰式餐厅，本以为主打泰国体验的酒店应该泰餐也不错，结果泰式餐厅吃dinner时，先是一个服务员告知靠窗位有预定不能座（但是桌上没有任何留位的标识），指定了另一桌给我们座，结果换了一个服务员又说这个也有预定不能座，再次换了位置，结果一直到我们吃完，这些桌子都是空着的，感觉这个泰式餐厅管理比较乱，菜品也比较一般，所以不推荐大家体验，住宿上来说总体还不错，但是有时minibar补充不及时。

Overall不錯~~in room breakfast set很讚，SPA的按摩師按得很舒服，地理位置也很方便，酒店整體設計跟房內設計都蠻有質感的 小小美中不足的是房間的一些小細節... ex. 超大房間中只有一盒面紙在衛浴間 ex. 房間客廳的插座太少，不便於3C產品多的住客 ex. 房間裡的各扇門都是呈現卡不住的狀態，只能關起來，打開時無法卡住

地理位置方便，环境也好，整体风格比较Morden，挺好的。

Wonderful!

Everything was perfect. I was in town for a concert with artists, check in was easy and helpful. Rooms were spacious and super clean. Breakfast was beyond amazing, props to the chefs! There is a mall across the street with everything you need. I would definitely recommend and return.
