The hotel manager CoCo was particularly helpful and provided excellent, above and beyond service to me. If you stay at this hotel, you should know that staff don't speak English, but CoCo the manager spoke excellent English which helped on several interactions.

The property itself was lovely but the pool was out of action, which was one of our main reasons for staying there. The communication and attitude of staff at check in was TERRIBLE and no attempt was made to speak to me as the person with the booking and paying for 8 people checking in. No smile, no explanation of amenities, breakfast, pool being shut or how to get to our room. They just chucked the key cards on the counter and served the next person. We got better service at the restaurant around the corner where we spent 200 yuan! I immediately translated how unhappy I was with the service. They took a photo and said sorry in English. When we checked out there was a very happy English speaker there waiting for us but the ones who served us at check in wouldn’t even look at me.

Amazing value for money. Matches anything in the world for its price point. Would love to stay here more often.

Staff is outstanding in their service. In fact, one concierge came to our room to show us how to operate the laundry machine as we were Chinese illiterate. When we asked to purchase an umbrella from the Sebel, the manager went out of his way to accommodate our request.

Nice location close to shopping and lots of dining options. Check in was super slow and was told the room I booked was not clean and ready at 9pm. Not meeting a high end hotel standard. Very disappointing stay and would not return.

Underwhelmed

Underimpressed by the staff but location near malls is great

The hotel was one of the nicest I've ever stayed in. The only problem was that none of the taxi drivers at the airport knew where it was. If the name given on the internet were Sebel/SOFITEL, I would have no problem finding it.

great hotel, and the buffet breakfast is out of this world good

The bed was luxurious and the bathroom was extremely well appointed! The carpet had cigarette burns and the sofa was stained. Other than that, the room was very clean. My biggest compliant was the room was very hot, despite the windows open and the heat in the room off. The front desk person, Crystal, was extremely helpful and offered to change rooms and tried very hard to make sure we were comfortable. She gave us outstanding service.

This was a once in a lifetime experience!

First of all- let me say that Laura is Awesome! We visited the Sofitel on December 7, 2018 for my wife’s Birthday and Laura and her staff totally hooked us up with the most amazing upgrade I have ever experienced (and I travel a lot so that is a big statement!) We checked in and they upgraded us from a normal King bed room in the Sebel to this huge two bedroom executive suite! We had our two young kids with us so I had planned for them just to sleep on the floor- but they totally had their own bed! When we arrived in the room Christophe, the General Manager, had written us a hand written birthday card and left an entire box of very expensive Swiss chocolates and wine for my wife! We felt like kings and queens because of their service! This is the love of God expressed towards us through these sweet, caring staff! They went the extra mile and made everything so personal, so wonderful, so over the top amazing! They also upgraded us to the Club lounge on the 16th floor of the Sofitel and they served us this amazing dinner and we were basically the only people in the whole lounge. Then they brought my wife this amazing Chocolate Mousse cake that was so rich and tasty. Sofitel absolutely has a great handle on what it is to serve the customer to make them feel “Magnifique!” The service staff were all on their A game and the breakfast was to die for with so many homemade pastries and an excellent selection of both western and Chinese dishes!

Highly recommend Sebel Xining

Wonderful comfortable stay 2 night stay in December. We came in via train and paid 30rmb to get to the hotel. Hotel provided you with oxygen, not that we used it. We were here essentially to acclimatise. The Sofitel looks after the Sebel so you will have access to the finer things when staying here which is a bonus. Breakfast was wonderful, more catered to the asian palate but you can get the enough of a western style if you prefer. Although it is a serviced apartment if you really had to cook your own meal, this would prove rather difficult as they don't have all the nick nacks and no microwave. There is an RT mart (supermarket) around the side so you can pick up anything you have missed. Had a comfortable stay and would only stay here again if I ever return.

Too short stay. Checked in late at night and checked out early next day. Bed is comfortable.

Best hotel in town

Excellent hotel that rival those 5 star Las Vegas hotels minus the casino,with a shopping mall that has food court on top floor and a HUGE supermarket in the basement. The Sebel is a service apartment in the same building as the Sofitel hotel. You even check in at the same front desk as the Sofitel. They even have someone walked us to our room. Talk about excellent service! We stay in both the Sebel and the Sofitel during our trip to Lhasa and both have the same design. The Sebel is a better value since it was less expensive but the room, actually a full suite that has 1.25 bath, is twice as big as the room in the Sofitel. It has a separate living area with its own TV and another TV in the bedroom. It even has a washing machine in the laundry area, and mini kitchen! Highly recommend the Sebel for anyone staying in Xining.

The rooms are hot! And the food is mediocre.

I have stayed here about 5 times. Every time I stay here the rooms are way too hot and the cooling and Air Condutioning never works to cool down the room. The accommodations are certainly luxury but the food is more like the food in a 3 star hotel. The breakfast is nice though.

Wonderful place to celebrate an anniversary!

We stayed two nights here after 3 nights in a more rustic resort a few hours outside the city. Check in was a little slow, but everything else after that was like a dream! The room (Superior Apartment with a King Bed) was remarkable! Everything was clean and so white! Laying in the bed was like being hugged by a cloud. The huge shower felt like bathing in a torrential rain storm. And compliments to housekeeping for making sure we were well stocked on complimentary bottled waters. We also took full advantage of the hotel's breakfast off of the lobby. There were far more food options than we had the stomach capacity for. It was delicious! We would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

Nice hotel in a good location

Beautiful hotel in the newly developed area in Xining. Close to shops, supermarkets and public transport. Very friendly staff and helpful with all the information you need to tour around. We booked a 2 bed apartment, spacious rooms with all the facilities we need, including a washing machine and large wardrobe to hang clothes, great buffet for breakfast. Very comfortable stay and will come back again next time!

the night before we left, the paint of bathroom ceiling fell off when I was taking the shower. the hotel staff was nice enough to fix the problem. I will definitely go back.

It was wonderful! They brought a cake and covered floor and bed with rose petals for a birthday!

Best breakfast in Xining!

We Stayed one night for my wife's Birthday! The buffet breakfast is awesome and very extensive and the pool is great and we had it all to ourselves! The only negatives: the temperature in the room is always quite hot when I have stayed there and the the thermostat does not work to regulate the temperature. Also - it took them 1 day to find our reservation on www.hotels.com in their computer. Every time I have checked into the hotel there has been some mistake or confusion on the reservation. A big, beautiful hotel - but I sense the whole operation could use some more organization and better communication.

What a great Hotel... And great staff...

Bad internet, hard to get customer service

It was a very clean and beautiful hotel. However, for the price - it is not worth it if you need to do business on the internet - the internet was very poor or inaccessible in two out of the three rooms I had during my visits there. Also they are understaffed, the hold and wait times to get help or services was excessive. When I did get the staff they were quite courteous. Several times they put me on hold and never came back or said they would call back and never did. One room the toilet stopped up so I had to move. In another room the lock was broken. The rooms are beautiful and mostly quite clean, with only a couple noticeable issues.

Luxurious Home Away from Home

It was just a 1 night stay. It is attached to the Sofitel and has free access to all the amenities there: gym, pool, sauna, spa, etc. I went to take advantage of the pool and spa. Had a wonderful full massage and facial. My only complaint was my stay was too short. I plan to return again.

優點：前台的服務員Laura友善熱情，態度積極非常棒。床很大很舒服，浴室空間舒適，房內有水氧機可以增加房內濕度。地點不錯，附近挺熱鬧超市餐廳周邊都有。 缺點：浴室建議可以多個置衣架。因為氣候乾燥，開關按鈕可以選用防止通電的材質。有些設備可以加強清潔，如水氧機內的水垢已經泛黃卡髒污，就會覺得噴出來的水氣不太乾淨。 綜合以上，如有下次還是會選擇入住。

Great people, great service. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. This serviced apartment share the lobby, café and other facilities with the adjunct Sofitel. You will get more value from Sebel than Sofitel.

我們每次到西寧第一考慮的酒店必定是詩鉑公寓，房間真的很乾淨舒適，前台服務人員都很親切，記憶力又超好的，他們都會記得我常來還會主動提供升等服務，讓我好窩心喔。

The newly developed area in the city, close to shopping mall

这是在hotel预定那么多间酒店最差的一次：1.入住时前台说有早餐，需要登记每位客人，后续电话再次确认，预定的房间是不含早餐；2.厕所门出问题，关上后就打不开，不得已只能打电话让酒店工作人员上来解决问题；3.洗手间冲凉房地漏出问题，渗水非常慢加上浴室门是反向倾斜设计，且未作任何遮挡，导致冲完凉后洗手间水漫金山；4.套房所有的门要不就关不上，要不就关上自动可以打开，还有一间房朝客厅的窗户是透明的没有窗帘，睡觉时如果客厅有人非常尴尬！总之，这个公寓完全是徒有其表，是这么多年住酒店最糟的一次经历！

西寧に行く機会があればまた宿泊したくなるホテルです

街の中心地からは離れていますが、すぐそばに百貨店もカフェもレストランもあり便利でした。青海湖への1日プライベート旅行もホテルスタッフのおかげでつつがなく楽しめました。英語の通じないスタッフの方もアプリを使って必要なことを伝えて下さり助かりました。

西寧旅行最舒服的兩晚

可以看出酒店附近是新城區，還有很多樓盤在建設中，隔壁就是新華聯購物廣場，非常方便。餐廳選擇也很多。酒店大堂空氣清新，讓人走進去就很舒暢，對於南方來的我，唯獨缺了濕度。但是前臺服務居然沒有排隊位，我急著退房去機場，居然有人插隊。 房間內還有洗衣機，電磁爐，還貼心地準備了鍋，晚上孩子們餓了，還可以煮點麵條，服務員也很熱情。 自助早餐的服務員沒得說，非常有禮貌，當我提出咖啡太淡時，馬上給了我一杯濃香四溢的卡布奇諾，值得大贊！

据说是西宁最好的酒店和酒店公寓了，check in就在酒店大堂，早餐也是索菲特的早餐，很丰盛，还有红景天供应，服务很好，要的杯子什么的，都很快送到

环境很棒，位置也很方便，旁边有购物中心和万达，买东西什么的都很方便，住的双卧室房间，环境很方便

房間乾淨，頗大的，住得很舒服

酒店是和索菲特连在一起的，共享餐厅、泳池等公共设施，酒店外观内饰都是索菲特一贯的华丽风格，值得一提的是酒店在西宁的新区，离万达广场很近，购物吃饭很方便，酒店的早餐具有当地的特色食物，值得试试

Fint hotel som hör ihop med Sofitel. Bra restauranger i hotellet och i omgivningarna. Det har bra faciliteter som Gym, bastu och en varm 25-meters pool. Rymligt rum som till och med har tvättmaskin, kokplatta och stort kylskåp.
