Love the location and the staff is always so friendly and accomadating. Plus the restaurant is a bonus, great food!

Absolutely gotta hotel. Rooms spacious. Bathroom divine. Clean. Beds extremely comfy. Restaurant in hotel absolutely delicious. Lots of shopping and restaurants around area.

Excellent hotel, with convenient access to a variety of shops.

No complaint about the facility but booking was a nightmare. I originally booked on Nov 13 and prepaid $175.07. When I found out the booking was a day later than intended I changed the date on Nov 16 and was assessed an additional fee of $170.42. When we went to check in they could not find our reservation and so I had to pay $178.06. All told I paid $523.15 for one night! Ridiculous. If I don't get a refund of $345.00 I'm never staying there or using Expedia again !!

Staff are professional as the service provided was spot on. The atmosphere at the hotel was clean, fun and again the service was perfect. Will stay there again. Regards, Gregg

Loved this hotel. Food was phenomenal, super clean and loved the hot tub.

Called to file a complaint with general manager have yet to hear back about the terrible experience I had here. The lighting in the bathrooms are horrible, there might as well have been no light in the bathroom. It is terrible if you’re trying to do your makeup. The ice machine on the second floor was broken with no out of order sign posted, I reported it to front desk and he was not helpful he said to just go to another floor. The next day we come back to our hotel room to find our beds were not made properly and the sheets were just thrown over it. In addition, the main lobby smelled horribly like bleach when I got there. Later that night the fire alarms go off out of nowhere and we’re forced to evacuate out in the rain. Mind you there was no fire and we had to sit in the rain for over an hour with no answers from staff. Considering that this is a “4 star hotel” at the price I paid per night I expected better service. Especially since it is a Hilton hotel. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

The website indicates "Airport Shuttle" but hours are limited. First suttle on weekends is not until 7:00 AM which is not convenient for early flights. Ended up having to pay a $45 cab ride to the airport, an additional expense I was not counting on. The web site should be clear on the shuttle hours for all days of the week.

Breakfast service in restaurant was very uneven. Great one day and ignored the second.

The property was beautiful! We walked in and were surprised by how nice it was inside and the steak house smelled insanely good! Wanted to eat there but didn’t have the time. We only had one issue when the key card would not scan right away and it seemed to have been broken but within 5 minutes we were placed in an identical room! Room was clean and beds were amazing! Just what I wanted when I needed a place for a great night of sleep!

Rooms were spacious and the location near super cute restaurants and plenty of shopping were great.

Rooms were comfortable, decor was great and Johnny's Restaurant was amazing! Ate at the bar and watched the CWS and our bartender was Amazing! We had a very relaxing time which is what we needed!

Fun place - loved the fire pits, retro decor and highly recommend eating at Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse in the hotel. Prime rib was delicious and reasonable price point.

My family and I recently stayed at the hotel while visiting the Des Moines area for a family wedding. Not only was it a beautiful hotel and a very comfortable room, the staff was so pleasant and helpful whenever we had questions. We loved the breakfast buffet at Johnny’s Steakhouse, it was so delicious! And we really liked how centrally located it was for other dining and shopping in the area. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area, and I would stay here again the next time I’m in town.

First Rewind stay

Check in was easy. Unfortunately when I was trying to connect to Wi-Fi, I had problems. Turned out that when I checked in it did not show that I did check in. So my Wi-Fi would not work. They compensated me for one free drink and free breakfast the next morning. My room was large and very nice. My breakfast the next morning was wonderful.

Our room was quite comfortable and very clean. The restaurant inside the hotel is excellent and worth a visit, even if you're not staying at the hotel. The staff at the hotel and restaurant were friendly and courteous.

The beds were super comfortable great water pressure and super quiet inside the rooms. Very clean. definitely staying here again.

My son had a basketball tournament in Des Moines. One word : PERFECT. Loved this place. Clean, comfy, spacious suite. Near lots of shopping and restaurants. This will be our go to every single time we go to Des Moines. Only complaint if I'm nit picking would be the pool was cold for our kids. Other than that, amazing place. Steakhouse was amazing as well.

fire alarm went off at 11:30pm and didn't get reset till 12:30 am firetrucks showed up I guess it was some sort of malfunction but had to spend part of the night out in car in the cold not exactly relaxing did get a half off comp for the trouble though

This place was so close to loads of shopping and dining. Was a great location and very nice property.

Stayed for an overnight event with family in the area. We arrived late in the evening but still received friendly service at check-in. Property is clean and parking is very convenient. It is also close to shopping and coffee places. The room was very clean. The sheets were immaculate and the bathroom was well-stocked and clean. We will stay here again.

The hot tub was closed and the pool was cold so both of those amenities was the main reason for staying there. The hotel besides that was beauitful and loved the decor!!

This is a special hotel. Greeted very warmly with friendly front desk, easy parking. Beautifully decorated and so very clean. The pillows are so comfortable! Delicious meal at Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse.

Decent hotel in a good location… front desk staff seems fairly disconnected from the guests as they rarely lifted their heads when guests would walk by their desk - which happens to be right in middle of the lobby. Housekeeping team was great while we were on property!

Great location and amenities. Horrible staff. Assumed my father worked there because he is brown. He had his pajamas on and went to the front desk and was asked if he worked there. Unacceptable

There was no view as it overlooked the roof vents. Which was the 2nd room I received as the first was not cleaned.

The check in process was acceptable but very barebones. We enjoyed the music inside and outdoors and the hotel's theme. Staff was polite. We were disappointed that the hot tub was out of service indefinitely. While room service is listed as an amenity, it is really take out service from the lobby restaurant. Since there is no maid service unless requested, the tiny waste baskets and lack of recycling containers in room wasn't adequate for even minimal garbage.

We had a great stay. We were not at the hotel very much but it was very clean and comfortable.

Simon was very helpful and pleasant. The towels looked used when we got into the room. Tissues looked used and shoved back into the dispenser. We had a handicapped room which we didn’t want. Everything was expensive, even the water. No water fountain, but an ice machine?

The Rewind was a good choice in the Jordan Creek area. Lovely, comfortable room, friendly staff and attractive grounds. The only reason for giving this hotel a 4 instead of a 5 relates to food. The hotel sits off by itself, not really that close to any place serving breakfast. A breakfast buffet is available at an extra cost. I've never liked breakfast buffets to begin with, and when there are no easy alternatives they should absolutely be included with the room. Or, just treat it like a regular restaurant and let people order off a menu. And - a warning to future guests - the Rewind's kitchen is actually part of Johnny's Steakhouse, so the buffet was not available on Mother's Day since Johnny's was getting ready for a special brunch. If you don't care about breakfast, I would strongly recommend the Rewind.

Housekeeping told me to leave at 10:30 and checkout was at 12:00pm. So I hurry up and got ready to leave. So unprofessional. I told the guy at the first desk and he just said he would talk to someone. No sorry or anything. Very rude I thought. Not sure I’ll stay there ever again. Also it would be great to hear back from someone and get some type of compensation

Great hotel… a lil bit on the expensive side

The suite I had was very spacious and had lovely decorations. The bedroom was separate from the living and dinning area and there were separate thermostats for each room! I absolutely loved the contactless checkin and digital key cards.

I have traveled all over the world I have stayed at many hotels this was one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever been in my room was huge super clean the staff was so amazing and helpful the restaurant at the hotel the steakhouse was great the service was amazing I wish I could’ve stayed longer and the best part the price was unbelievable I wanted to book a trip to go back already

Weekend out

Check in experience was good. The only complaints we had was that there were no blackout curtains in the window, so it was inconvenient in the evening when the sun was coming in the room and we were laying in bed. We had to move the couch and use the pillow to pin the curtain up so the sun wasn’t bothering us. The shower was not clean, so we had to run the water to get everything cleaned up. Otherwise, the stay was fine.

Don't stay here

I chose this hotel as it was renovated and had superb reviews and looked to be a 4 star hotel. We arrived at about 7:20pm, both the front desk phones were ringing with no one at the desk. After waiting 5 minutes the hostess at Johnny's said the guy just walked away but will be back. After 10 minutes she said she would go try to find him. She left and came back not updating us, at 15 minutes I asked if they found him. He was training someone else but they had no idea where they were. 17 minutes after arriving we got checked in, it seemed he was annoyed with us. The room was not in great shape, you could smell the bleach from the bedding, there's dirt/stain on the bathroom door. The pool/hot tub area was fine but the hot tub had so much chemical you couldn't enjoy it and the bottom had broken and cracked pieces leaving grit on the bottom. When you laid down the bedding chemical smell was overpowering. And there's a scale in the bathroom, not a fan of that. I had asked for the highest room possible with a view, we got put on the 2nd floor with the heating cooling unit view.

I cancelled that reservation and they charged me anyway! I turned it over to American Express.

Excellent hotel

The Rewind is an excellent hotel. We stayed there to celebrate my daughter's sweet 16. The room is very nice, TV is huge. Swimming pool was not too cold. Has fire pits outside. Would stay here again and would recommend it. The hotel was quiet.

It was a lovely property. Internet was out so we had no internet for our 3 night stay.

Excellent! Very clean. It was a comfortable stay and the interior decoration was excellent. I went here as a single woman with her children, and I really felt safe here!

Perfect stay in West DesMoines

The hotel was clean and modern. The restaurant and bar were first rate. I had absolutely no complaints.

Plenty of other places to stay.

The worker at the front counter upon checking in offered little assistance, handed me a room key and said here is your room. He stated no other services are available since we booked thru a 3rd party. Upon arrival to the room the overwhelming smell of garbage and old cooking grease from the kitchen met me. Every time the air conditioner kicked on it intensified. At check out the two individuals working the desk did there absolute best to not help again only referring everything to hotels.com for any assistance.

Overall wonderful stay

The check-in is easy, the hotel room is very clean, the beds are very comfortable but those pillows are amazing. When you go to some hotels, you walk in the bathroom and you kind of feel like it's a little gross. When you walk into this bathroom is very clean, the shower is very large and nice and the floors are very clean. It's a very updated hotel and our room was very quiet.

Pretty hotel but not worth the cost

Hotels.com listed the check-in time as 3pm, the hotel said it was 4pm so we waited a while to check-in. The room and hotel was gorgeous -very beautifully decorated. My shower had very low water pressure and never got hot water - the best I got was warm/tolerable water. When I called the front desk they said I just needed to "let it run" for a while. I let it run for 20 minutes and it never got hot. While it was a beautiful hotel, for $200 a night it would have been nice to be able to take a hot shower. Most likely I will not stay there again.
