I FOUND THIS HOSTEL FOR MY SON WORKING IN SAN DIEGO AREA. THE STAFF WAS KIND HELPFUL AND THEIR ESTABLISHMENT WAS MORE THAN PERFECT FOR HIM.

Gladly surprised by the quality of the service. Very clean -daily mopping and cleaning of all areas. Staff super friendly. Common areas are usually very quiet and was nice to hang out there. Very close to downtown (5-10 mins cab ride) conveniently close to the airport. Will stay here next time.

LOVED my stay here. Sorry I had to give 3 stars to the area around the property it is a little bit skid row lite by the Albertsons but if it means a more affordable stay and the property is very secure and guests and staff were respectful.

This was my first experience at a hostel. The descriptions were exactly as stated. Customer service was excellent. I will definitely go back.

If your looking for an inexpensive place to stay compared to the overpriced san diego hotels, this is your place.. its clean , private, and secure...I would have given it an excellent rating if the wifi worked..I would stay here again.

Very clean, staff was a little more business like then friendly but respectful. Its location is the only draw back. Never felt unsafe but it took away a little from the the experience.

This was a wonderful experience. It was safe and quiet and really quite enjoyable.

Extremely well run hostel. Neighborhood was grimy, but not dangerous. Got a great night sleep, had a great shower, and met some great people.

I liked the property and staff. It was clean and quite. In a walkable distance to markets, restaurants and etc but there were homeless ppl a lot in that area.

The check-in process was easy, the staff was exceptionally friendly, and the entire place was clean.

Fair stay

Fair stay for first hostel experience. Kept clean. Guest were quiet and respectful of rules. Liked the curtain that divided each room. Bathrooms easily accessible and free most of the time. Poor drainage of sinks and showers. My bed wasn’t that comfortable- had a dip in the center- might be time for new mattress. Earplug available as some guest snore throughout the night. For business trip Stay classy got the job done. rate 3.5/5.

It's not my usual place to stay. I was just feeling adventurous. What got me interested was the price. The linen smells fresh and does not look overused. What I disliked was the use of curtains instead of real doors. I guess that's how it is designed otherwise the place looks clean

Great hostel that offers some privacy as all the beds are separated by the walls and curtains. This is a great idea for people frequently staying in hotels. The staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of amenities (several hairdryers to accommodate large amount of people needing them at the same time). Great and spacious common areas.

The individual bed space was very comfortable. However, it would be better to have more sinks available, as there were often long lines to use the only two sinks.

Stay Class Labor Day Weekend

I have to pay my respects to the staff running the establishment they are put in difficult situations and handle issues with such grace. Our first night was a bit uncomfortable because the bed near us had a person moaning so loudly in pain. Later in the following morning the guest was asked to leave they had no control of their bowl movements and left a trail of urine from the bathroom to their bed area. The establishment is a hostel and not hospice so for the security of the fellow patrons it was best for them to find different housing. The staff was kind and tried to fill their requests for a change of clothes so they can be clean for their doctors appointment. We all go through our own struggles in life and I hope that guest is okay, I appreciate the staff for handling this situation the best they could.

Thoroughly enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere.

Full of homeless in the area, making mess and making it unsafe. The hostel was the only place I’ve ever been to that doesn’t provide shampoo. I told them about it as I didn’t see it, the attendant said this is a hostel and hostels don’t provide shampoo and you got to bring it yourself. As it was first time for me in a hostel, I couldn’t really tell, so that was an inconvenience and a surprise to say the least!

Overall, it was a good experience. Ricky was delightful, and very happy to help. Some of the other staff members should use him as an example on customer service! It was a unique experience, and we would recommend this to visitors of San Diego.

Accommodation was very clean and provided any facilities you could need including hair driers and straighteners etc. Staff were friendly and helpful. Beds were separated from each other by walls and curtains.

Nice property. Some small issues to address: 1. Men’s restroom had only one of 2 sinks working. 2. Men’s showers had 2 of 3 working. Overall though, decent property.

First time I ever stayed at a hostel! Very secure. All guests were respectful and staff was helpful. I will def stay there again!

The hostel is nice and clean inside the building. Bed and shower are good. They have lockers to keep your stuff safe while you're out. The pizza place is right next to the hostel. About 18 mins walk to downtown San Diego and 5 mins walk to the bus transportation.

The hostel is generally clean and quiet but outsid is is that clean. The property need to work on fixing customer service and cleaning outside the property.

It's a good place for what it is. The beds are comfortable and offer good privacy. Stay classy hostel is in a central location easily accessible via trolley. service. However main complaint with Stay classy is that some of the facilities are falling apart. especially in the showers particularly the middle one the door lock and the shower handle look like it can come off at anytime.

Too warm in the sleeping rooms. No wash cloths available. Only one sink for 14 beds. No shampoo.

Very secure location code at door exterior and interior very clean organized. Walking distance to trolly grocery store bars restaurant etc. helpful staff comfortable beds and bedding.. a few things noticed in bathroom needs minor repair. Well thought out design would recommend will return.

This is how you set up and run a hostel. If you want to be in the center of downtown San Diego you cannot do better than this! I’m 70 years old and loved staying here. Inside the hostel it was super quiet and very safe. The staff is awesome and loves to interact with their guests and are very helpful. Most hostels have bunk beds- not here. I honestly can’t believe how clean and nice everything is. This place is a real gem. You cannot find any better value for lodging in San Diego!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The concept with the thick curtains and a real comfortable bed gives a nice feeling of privacy and I slept like a baby. I also appreciate the "get ready" area with blowdryer etc., the pool table and the several spaces to chill or work. I highly recommend this hostel to women because I felt very save even in the eve walking back and I'll def come back for another stay!

Clean and quiet. I thought parking would be awful, but it was not an issue. Lots of homeless around, but never really felt unsafe - came from Portland though, so viewpoint might be off.

I love love this hostel and its my best so far. But the cleanliness this time was off. Bathroom was dirty and smellwd alot of urine. The entrance to the hostel smelled of urine as well. Otherwise the rooms, beds and sheets are just amazing
