Perfect place to stay and relax

Amazing serene location. Perfect to detoxify from City life. Love the rainforest, love the cabin location, love that all you hear are bird singing. Plenty of activities to do around. A lot of easy hiking trails that leads to beautiful water falls. Cabin have everything you may need.

We stayed in the bowerbird cabin and it was magical. We’d go back in a heartbeat. The area was serene and there was wrap around windows, seeing the trees, hearing the birds and the rain drizzling the entire time felt like we were in another world. The ambiance of the warm lighting and little electrical imitation fire place was cosy and we spent many quiet moments snuggled together under a blanket on the couch in front of it. The cabin was a perfect base for our hiking trips. Exploring the land around the cabins revealed some little serene pockets, we found a courtyard covered in moss that was quite beautiful. The cabin had a washer and drier, necessary as the cabin itself always had pretty high humidity (expected in a rainforest) so clothes/towels etc would not air dry. Everything cardboard/paper towel etc was always a tiny bit damp due to it. The bathroom was beautifully clean and the spa bath was big enough for two, it was a really nice touch, a great way to soak tired muscles in the bubbles after a long hike! The kitchen was workable, there was no oven but the gas hobs worked great. I did find myself craving more cleaning supplies, I’d bring them with me next time along with some sharp knives, salad bowls and cutting boards. Overall an absolutely great stay, we would be excited to come back. 😍 Thank you Graham.

Amazing location in amongst the trees, it rained the whole time we were there but we had the best time staying cozy indoors and chilling out. Would recommend to anyone needing a city escape!

A special magical place to stay with an amzing host Graham. He greeted us warmly and his love and knowledge about springbrook park and walks was fantastic. The cabin was delightful and so well equipped. A complimentary bottle of bubbly awaited us , fresh milk a selection of breakfast items even olive oil for cooking. All accompanied by birdsong from the surrounding tropical forest

cant wait to get back...even though we were there during wild storms, no power for a few days, it was very easy to still enjoy the 'escape from the rat race' management are great, the cabin was awesome, didnt really want to leave. will be back soon!

Great property to stay at if you're exploring nearby Springbrook. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our own meals (and included some really nice extras courtesy of the property). Overall, great location and value and highly recommended.

Quiet and serene

Beautifully situated in the rainforest well away from the other 3 cabins. Make sure you take all the food you need as little else is close by which adds to the isolation and tranquility. There are 3 good hikes to choose from to be active and enjoy the environment

Amazing space in Springbrook National Park

Such a lovely space to stay! We really enjoyed the fireplace and nice woody vibes of the cottage among the nature. Given some guides for Springbrook, we explored the area and had great time. :) However, there are few things that could be improved. The bath tub wasn't cleaned properly and I could see pink spots and some pubic hair on the jet spa parts from previous guests... You can simply spray some bleach and wash off with some brush. We also woke up during the night when some timber fell off from the top of blinders right above us which was very dangerous and got scared. Probably it's better to be glued or screwed rather than taped with 2 sided magic tapes. But overall, we enjoyed the stay and would love to try other cottages next time.

Stunningly Natural property

Absolutely beautiful property and secluded just what was needed and the owners thought of every little comfort. Take some comfort food and a few groceries for the days and nights to really relax and never leave the natural environment. Possums and wallabies and birds all around us. Can’t wait to go back

Had a wonderful three day stay in a most ideal setting. Ash, the host, was extremely welcoming and informative and the cottage was superb. Lovely setting, abundant wildlife, a great place for a romantic isolated get away. Would go back in a flash.

At home in the forest

Beautiful rainforest surroundings. Far away from the tourists, and nestled in the bush with the birds and the wallabies. At the same time, all the comforts of home and an obliging and informative host.

The cabins were amazing and the aroma and surroundings breath taking.

We stayed in Bowerbird cottage during our stay. We quite enjoyed waking up in the middle of a rainforest. The location was perfect with a 5min drive to Best of all lookout, close proximity to cafes and a 15min drive to Warrie Circuit and twin falls hiking track (more on that later!) We were quite happy with the amenities provided, complimentary breakfast hamper for one morning, and privacy. I must also commend the outstanding communication of recommended sights to visit, hike and eat in Springbrook and Numinbah Valley. After finishing a 6hr hike through Warrie circuit, coming back to the retreat to rest up was handy as we didn't have to drive 1.5hrs back to Brisbane! I would highly recommend staying here.

Quaint little hideaway, perfect for a couples escape!

Gorgeous chalet, clean and comforting. Bed was comfortable with very warm blankets. Fireplace was amazing, along with the spa bath. Will be back for sure.

The perfect getaway!

We loved our stay at Lyrebird! The cottage was gorgeous and well taken care of, it felt like home. Sitting on the balcony looking over the rainforest was heaven and we cannot wait to return next time we need time away from the city.

Pleasant stay at Rosella Cabin

The cabin is peaceful and secluded, ideal for a retreat. Closest thing to staying in a National Park and was close to all walks and lookouts, including the impressive Purlingbrook Falls. We had a problem with our Oven/Microwave and Ashley was very quick to find a replacement, despite the office being closed. Overall the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and we would stay there again. Thanks for a lovely weekend break.

Rainforest getaway

Relaxing & secluded getaway in the rainforest. Perfect for couples to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and reconnect. Was even great to lose the mobile reception for a few days. Lots of great walks and lookouts within a short drive. Room was very clean and well-equipped, with everything we needed for a few days away.

Rain forest retreat

This is a nice bush / rain forest setting. The cabins are cosy and clean, large enough, at the same time small enough. We stayed in the Rosella cabin. It was a freezing cold night, thou the fire and heating in the rooms was enough to kee us warm, including the electric blankets. They are self contained with enough items to get you started with tea coffee, and champagne. Need to bring food with you as there is no shopping in springbrook. The location was centrally located to walks and lookouts. We enjoyed our time. Just for information, there was no phone or internet reception at the cabin.

As usual, not long enough!! Beautiful setting surrounded by rainforest and constant chatter of wild life. Well laid out cabin, small and cosy. Had a resident mouse steal number 4 & 5 of our welcoming chocolates :-/ lol lucky she was cute!! The owner said they are easily removed without harm :-) Will go back!!

Perfectly located in the rainforest, a short drive from local shops and great day-out spots and walks, great facilities

We were looking for a romantic few days together in the rainforest, having stayed in a similar (but much cheaper) place in NZ. We ended up not wanting to stay in the cabin all day like planned for various reasons. It wasn't particularly clean, there was a lot of dust, including whole shelves that looked like they hadn't been dusted for weeks, skirting boards and edges that hadn't been vacuumed and things like doilies next to the bed that let off a cloud of dust when you moved them. My husband's asthma and eczema flared up from it all. The bathroom had mould around the bath/shower, which was not helped by the lack of exhaust fan, though there was for some reason a heater in there, unnecessary when the room fills with steam after 10 seconds of hot water. You couldn't really open the bathroom window because the neighbours could see in. While the views out the numerous windows were beautiful, the cottage desperately needs curtains or blinds to keep the warmth in. It was very poorly insulated, meaning that even on a 20 plus degree day you needed the heater or fire on all day and all night, which felt really wasteful particularly in a such a natural setting. Don't know why, but there is a note that if you use up the supplies you receive (2 rolls of cheap toilet paper, half a box of tissues), you have to pay for more whether you stay 1 night or 7. Seems really stingy.
