I liked how small the hotel was, it felt more comfortable

Potential to be Excellent but Poor for now!.

Hotel good but tired.We stayed in room B301 which had french doors and these could not be locked as no key. This was raised at check in and we were told we would be supplied with the key. We stayed 4 days and no key was provided so our room was not secure. Only the rooftop pool was in use the other pools being empty

Great Hotel

Check in was easy, hotel was very clean, people were helpful, and the location was great. Hard to do much better!

Beyond Loud. All night long. I can't believe they don't give out ear plugs. The blaring horns right outside the window are insane. Impossible to sleep. They also tried to scam me out of another 10.00 by saying i lost a plastic key which i did not. It's just a shady practice.

A pousada é bem centralizada, perto de tudo. O pessoal da recepção e do café da manhã são muito prestativos. Achamos o quarto 106 muito pequeno. O banheiro é escuro, e não tem espelho para se ver de corpo inteiro. O café da manhã é simples, mas tem a possibilidade de pedir ovos e omeletes através do cardápio oferecido.

What did it for me it was the front desk receptionist, my friend Camilo we had great talks at night and he always point me in the right direction very helpful and respectful person, and every other staff was also very helpful and whit a smile always…

Nice hotel in a terrific area and great staff.

Nice boutique hotel. Great staff. Good complementary breakfast. Great area which can be noisy at times. For my solo travelers: you will have to pay for anyone not included in your initial booking.

Really close to the center and place was clean

I would recommend this hotel for people that don’t mind the nightlife. It is surrounded by bars and party crowd. So yes it can be loud at night but I am a heavy sleeper and was still able to rest. Nevertheless, it is walking distance to everything. I walked to the Castillo San Felipe, to the Torre; literally everywhere. The staff was very friendly and professional. Breakfast is whatever, I never truly eat at hotels so it’s personal choice. Price is great for the location.

Great & not so great

Tidy compact hotel in excellent area. Staff quite friendly. NO HOT WATER for shower & shave, perhaps they think it’s not required considering Cartagena is very hot. Breakfast was very bland. AC top notch!

Had a wonderful time exploring Getsamani neighborhood and Cartegena in general. Wee very grateful for this hotel with AC and a rooftop pool! Staff were very helpful.

The staff was super friendly and informative! I loved the pool on the first floor and roof top. They clean them everyday in the morning. My hotel room was so clean and had everything I needed. Everything was neat and organized. They provide breakfast in the morning which was super delicious. It is so close by Getsemani which is a beautiful area that you must explore in its entirety. Convenient stores and a pharmacy is literally around the corner so you can get all the toiletries and necessities there. The food in the area is impeccable. I couldn’t have made a better choice in picking a hotel. During my stay there I felt so welcome, taken care of, and I will be staying there again during my next visit to Cartagena.

Excellent service from ALL the staff I had interaction with, the hotel was very clean and conveniently located close to main tourist areas.

The hotel is in a great location. Near all restaurants and attractions. The staff are friendly and always ready to help. The only issue is that the near by discos and bar have music so loud to 5:00am, Its hard to sleep. Otherwise, , Excellent!

No hot water, spotty wifi, television was difficult to use, cars honking until 4 am.

Avoid at all costs. Hotel is next to the main party street and our room literally was the exterior of that street. The noise in the rooms is like you are in the night club until 3am with booming music. Didn’t sleep at all until 3:30am once crowds had gone too. No hot or cold water in the rooms so were given bottles to use.

Great local hotel close to everything

The hotel is right next to many of the bars, clubs and shops. Because of this it can get loud at night if your a light sleeper. Ask for a room farthest away from the street. The people here were very nice and the breakfast was ok. But for the price you really can’t beat it. It is in a very convenient place. Walking to Walled City is no problem and your 10 minutes to all the areas of Getsemani. Would definitely stay here is again.

A great local hotel - relax by day and party

By day this hotel is great. It’s very pretty with plants everywhere and a great rooftop pool and bar. It includes a nice breakfast. Our room was large and bathroom was huge. Bed comfortable with good air conditioning because it’s hot in Cartagena. There are 3 small pools and lounge chairs to relax after a day of sight seeing. The location is right in the middle of Getsemaní, a busy area with lots of bars, restaurants and clubs, in close walking distance to the old city walls. You should know that this hotel is close to some large clubs and it’s noisy until 3am.

The hotel is super cute and have 3 small swimming pools to relax. Its ideally located in Getsemani close to everything and the walled city. I would definitely stay here again

Beautiful property, tons of plants and 3 pools. Great little bar on roof with pool and great jugos! Walkable to old city (<10 min). Has a little market store around corner. Very clean, nice staff. No complaints about hotel. We had a room in the B area, so it was quieter, which we wanted. My only complaint. DO NOT book a tour through hotel, we got ripped off. It was expensive and it what was advertised was not true. We wanted a tour with paddle boards. Rosario island had one and it was NOT usable, it was deflated, had no fin, and no SUP paddle. They used a kayak paddle and cut it off (it was too short). The kayaks didn’t have seats. They did not serve the fruit salad as advertised. The water had a ton of trash. We were told it would be calm and no party music, and they blasted annoying music, not even Colombian music. It left 1.5 hour earlier than advertised due to wind and the almost 2 hour ride back was very dangerous. The captain was a good captain, but if you get sea sick, highly advised against. This trip was a waste of time.

Very nice hotel in a interesting area…

We had a great stay at the Soy Local Insignia! The triple room was great for 2 adults and 1 child. The website does not do justice to the pools!! There are 3 total in different locations. None was very big but still decent size. My 7 year old son loved it. It is a loud neighborhood in terms of night life so don’t stay in the area if you are expecting it to be very quiet or bring ear plugs. But we liked how much activity was right outside the door and how walkable the area is. Very nice hotel!

Reasonably priced fir location. 5 min walk from clock tower. Very friendly staff. Very very clean and modern rooms. 3 pools were ok. Small and not as clean as it should be but a nice place the chill a beat the heat of the day. Liked the roof top bar and pool. Convenient stories right around the corner. Very lively area. Im definitely visiting there in the near future.

Apart from being a bit noisy on the weekend, the hotel is very well located, close to everything! We were lucky to get room at the back away from the street noise and also the room was newly renovated

The first day I got in there was no electricity for nearly 5 hours and the last day so there was no electricity it’s super hot and annoying. The only Good thing about the hotel is the location.

I stayed in a newly renovated room and it was perfect! Very comfortable bed, nice warm water pressure from the shower, and it's located in a very lively part of Getsemani. Free breakfast was available but I was too hung over from partying to partake, lol! They're also 3 swimming pools on the property as well. I will definitely stay here again!

Could not sleep at all

The place is centrally located to shops, clubs, and restaurants. It is walking distance to reloj and wall area. Our first day, we had a lady from the cleaning service walk in on us. On the second day a stranger not even a guest open the door despite having the second lock on . They there is no hot water.

We booked it for the rooftop pool, but that ended up being very cloudy and we didn’t feel like swimming in it. There were cockroaches in our room everyday. The noise from the street next to the hotel was very loud in our room. It’s a vibrant and exciting neighborhood so some noise was expected but the volume made it hard to sleep even with earplugs. I don’t think this is the case with all rooms, just those that share the exterior wall at street level with Carrera 10.

Great staff, very thoughtful. I didn't have the issue with cold water, but maybe our room was the one with hot water. Only have good things to say about this location! Highly recommend you stay, we will be coming back next time we travel to Cartagena.

Too noisy all night

Some good - some bad

This small hotel is located in Getsemaní close to entertainment, and the Cartagena Convention Center. The first room they gave us was on the 2nd floor and faced the street. This is an entertainment district, but I was in town for meetings. There is a big dance hall across the street so the music went on until almost 2am. Though the musicians were skilled, I couldnt sleep. They moved us to a bigger 1st floor room and while you could still hear some of the music, it was much more bearable. BUT the problem with this room is there was no hot water. It seems only some of the rooms have hot water. This was frustrating. The hotel staff was all very friendly, and the prices were reasonable. The rooms were very clean. The hotel is also very conveniently located - especially if you are in town for the nightlife.

Buen hotel

El hotel está en una ubicación inmejorable para disfrutar de la oferta cultural, nocturna y gastronómica de Getsemaní. Es limpio, cómodo y muy bonito. El único inconveniente es que precisamente por estar ubicado en una zona tan movida, aún en tu habitación puedes escuchar la música de los bares alrededor hasta muy tarde. Nada grave, pero si necesitas total silencio para dormir quizá no sea la mejor opción. Del resto fue un muy buen hotel, las instalaciones son tal y como en las fotos y el personal fue muy amable y cordial.

Good hotel for basic accommodations. The room was very small but clean. One complaint would be the shades do not fully block out the light in the hallway at night. We were looking for a lower priced option in Cartagena old city and this worked well for that purpose.

The hotel is in a great location. 10 minute walk to the walled city and there are tons of street food options and bars right next door. The staff were very friendly and allowed us to leave our bags while we toured the city after check-out for no additional charge. The room was small but clean. We were on the first floor facing the courtyard and we did not hear the noise from the bar too much. Cafe Havana is directly across the street so yes, it can be loud but we did not hear the noise so much that we were not able to sleep. There is no hot water. We were only staying for two nights and both days the temperature during the day was over 90 so the cool shower wasn't a huge deal but if I was staying for more than 2 nights this would have been an issue for me. We had a drink on the rooftop which was decent. The pool isn't huge, but it was nice to have a drink and watch the sunset. My biggest compliant for this hotel is that there is only a very very thin sheet on the bed. No duvet and no blankets. At night it gets really cold with the AC so I slept in leggings and a sweatshirt both nights.

Room 105 is next to some bar that music was so loud as if the music speakers are in the room. It lasted till almost 2:30 in the morning

Great hotel in the middle of everything exciting! Staff was super friendly and helpful (assisted with getting our necessary covid test before departure), great rooftop bar and breakfast, and central to the Getsemani neighborhood and close to the walled city. Just be prepared for street noise 😊.

Amazing hotel, even better than the pictures, and very reasonable price for what it is. The location is amazing, very safe and touristy. No point paying 50% more to be 'more' at the heart of the walled city because inside the walled city everything is within a few minutes walk. Really really good little gem !

Hotel bem localizado, café limitado

Hotel muito bem localizado com equipe muito simpática. Café da manhã limitado. Check in demorado, porém o check out é eficiente, pois batem na sua porta às 11h da manhã já com a equipe de faxina pronta para adentrar no quarto. Acho isso errado, porque paga-se uma diária de 24h, e se o check in é ás 15h, o check out deveria ser até 14:30, dando meio hora para a limpeza do quarto

Está muy bien ubicado. En cuestiones del estado del hotel y del cuarto está muy bien, en términos de la limpieza diaria del cuarto de pronto se queda un poco por encima. Sí es importante considerar que está junto a una de las calles más ruidosas de Getsemaní por lo que se cuela ruido al cuarto.
