Nice family trip
Nice getaway with our 2 dogs. Pet friendly cabin and area. Cabin has their own bathroom and there’s ac. Other amenities swimming pool and basketball court.
This place has everything you need! It was so fun we extended our stay another night. The people were friendly and the location was close to everything. We will definitely be back!!!
Perfect cozy cabin, it was nice to hear the rain but be out of it.
Nice stay
We really enjoyed our stay. Everyone was friendly and helpful and the property and room were beautiful.
It was nice And peaceful, and the kids had lots of fun .
For the Family
My Family absolutely loved the cabin. The way it felt, cozy, warm. It was nice to make breakfast on a gas stove top. I’m 5’11” and the sleeping situation for me was not very comfortable. The kids loved it though! 👍
A great place for all ages!
This is a great family park! I went with my daughter and grandchildren, but I will probably go back with just my husband. They have a lot to offer. We saw a deer in the park both nights we were there. It’s not their fault it’s the swimming pool is not open at this time, it’s Due to the pandemic.
No Wifi,TV or stovetop cooking.Extra charges.
We got the kitchenette cabin (2 beds) during August. The rate was relatively lower than hotels nearby. You get what you paid for. No wifi or TV. Has a gas grill but no stovetop for cooking. There were two sealed bags of towels and blankets, each with a note warning 'you open, you pay for it'. But no way to find out how much. No one answers the phone. Just one employee at the gate for check in during the limited hours. For cooking, the cabin has a sink, a coffee pot, a roll of paper towel, a microwave and a fridge.
Super clean, beautiful grounds and everything was already in the cabin. Dishes, blankets, shampoo, soap, etc.. we didn't need to buy anything. Was very impressed.
Comfortable But Cozy
We had a pleasant stay. Very family friendly with nice playground and a pool for our kids. We stayed in a studio cabin with our two kids and dog. It appears they have limited cabins that allow pets. The cabin was rather nice! Seemed either relatively new, or remodeled. Very clean, and mostly well equipped. The only complaint would be the size for the amount of people. There was a queen bed, and twin bunk beds, and very limited walking space, which made things very cozy. The size of cabin would be better with only a queen bed. Otherwise, bed was very comfortable. We will definitely consider staying here again on our next trip.
Love the cottage.
It was awesome, loved our cute cottage.
Clean cabin
Not the most extravagant place but always clean and everything you need.
The cabin we rented was newer and clean. Staff at check in was super friendly. The property advertised a pool and pool tables. The pool table were outside under cover, felt ripped and duct taped. I would not advertise this amenity. The pool area was also unkept and not inviting. If you are only there for the cabin experience, it is excellent!
I will be checking again with Thousand Trails for my next vacation.
Nice RV Park, Uncomfortable Cabin
We chose to stay at Thousand Trails RV Campground because they had a nice indoor swimming pool and the cabins looked clean and comfy. The grounds really were as lovely as depicted on line (even saw some deer wandering around early Friday morning). The pool was nice and the adjoining bathrooms were clean. However, the cabin left a lot to be desired. We had envisioned hanging out in the cabin, playing games and chatting. However, the living area was tiny and the furniture was so uncomfortable that it was impossible to do so. The fold out couch was impossible to sleep on because the mattress was so thin that the frame dug into my teenager as she tried to sleep. The bed in the bedroom was nice, but was built into a nook that was so short it was impossible to stretch out fully. If you're under 6' it would work for you, though. Remember to bring your own bed sheets and towels or you will be charged. You also need to wash all your dishes and take the trash out to the dumpster before you leave.
This cabin had no air conditioning which during most times might be okay, but it was a hot week! There is no closet or dresser so we lived out of our suitcase under the bed. The linen package was $12 for the double bed and $12 for the double size sofa sleeper. No housekeeping for the stay, so we had to go buy more toilet paper. I Had to go to store and buy a foam mattress and more pillows and washcloths/towels. The ceiling fan wasn't wired properly, so the only way to have the fan on at night was to unscrew the light bulbs. We were in one of the older cabins (park model), there were newer ones with air, but not for us. The actually park was nice and location was okay. I would definitely stay in a hotel where you have a few more amenities for the price. The only reason we stayed here was because my sister had an RV at this park.
I have very bad experience I never rent that place again
Not the ammenities I expected...
I'm not sure if it was an issue with the way Hotels.com advertized, but the "free wifi" is only able in the clubhouse. Pictures of the cabins showed bedding, but it was an extra charge of $12/night per "bag" of bedding you openned. You had to clean the cabin before you left on an extra fee would be assessed. The bed was not very comfortable. The room was clean but the toilet ran non-stop. There were no towels. Had I expected thsoe things, I would have been able to plan for them.
Sub par for the price
Check in is WAY too late in the day!!!! 4:00!! Lose almost an entire day and yet you still pay for it. We were there in mid August and plenty of empty cabins so it's not like they needed an entire day to clean. The grounds were badly kept around our cabin. Not very inviting to sit outside. Picnic table ready to fall apart. Horrible chairs for kitchen area in cabin. Drapes threadbare. Blinds broken. Not maintained very well.
Comes with Nothing
Terrible first night, the next day we had to drive to the next town to get sleeping bags, pillows, and Towels, wash cloths and soap so we could have a shower and bedding. because this place comes with NOTHING. Also you are required to do a deep cleaning and put everything back as it was or you will be charged extra. Any of the hotels or motels in this area will provide better service and conditions for pretty much the same money. Don't go here this place has no personality or decent accomenditions.
Not the cabin in the picture. Horribly rude staff
Check in is 4pm. We couldn't check in till 7pm. With no explanation why other than the rude staff just saying it's not ready and we don't know when it will be ready. The picture of the cabin that I reserved is not the one we got. No tv or wifi like we were suppose to have. The room smelled of urine and the whole cabin was leaning. Felt like I was walking downhill Some people live there year round. We will never be back
Thousand Rules
The cabin (studio) we stayed in was perfect for 4 of us and had everything we needed- a stove top, fridge, microwave and dishes and utensils. The cabin was cute and comfortable, and a steal price- wise for the area. The rangers could stand to be reminded that they are in customer service and to speak to guests accordingly. There was an attitude of being put out and rigidity. Had a feel of dealing with security or law enforcement, not staff that we were paying. For example, we arrived at 230. The cabin was clean and vacant, but we had to wait until 4 pm on the dot to check in. Seemed silly. Rules are central to this place. There are lists of them everywhere, and in the newsletter there is a list of rule UPDATES. It seemed a bit much. So, rather than warm and welcoming, it feels all about compliance. A little stressful, actually. Too many rules to keep track of. On the bright side, if you have children there is so much to do. Tennis, pickleball, swimming, board games, ping pong, pool, mini golf just to name a few. All in all, not so much an issue with the place as how it is managed.
We stayed at a new cottage and it was nice with a/c and heat a stove grill microwave fridge bathroom at all. For orbitz price it was totally worth it. They almost overcharged me double tho so that wasn't very good and they were very rushed at the office. Probably under staffed.
Uncomfortable cabin w/ linen charge
Seaside RV Resort was the first leg of a week-long trip through Oregon. The cabin looked okay, but when we pulled back the comforter, there were no sheets. The sheets for the bed and pull-out couch were in bags under the bed with stickers that said we would be charged if the bags were open. These bags also contained our towels. Both beds were very slanted, especially the pull-out. There was a hard box, about 3"x6", at the head of the pull-out mattress (right where your head "rests"). I have no idea what it could've been. We couldn't remove it because the zippers around the mattress were tied shut. Although we wanted a cabin so we could do some cooking as save a little money, the settings were worn off the knobs, and it was a propane stove that needed to be lit, we didn't cook because I was uncomfortable using the stove and knowing I had indeed turned the gas off. The man who checked us in was very nice, and the campground was quiet. I didn't complain because I didn't want to start our journey with a conflict. I will not stay there again. It is probably fine if you have an RV, but I don't recommend the cabins. I'd stay at a hotel and use the savings to eat out.
loved it
Make Sure you get a new cabin
The park was good and had many fun activities for the family. However, we got an old cabin and it needs to be replaced or completely refurbished. The bed was too small (built into the wall- smaller than an RV bed). The BBQ had a broken igniter and didn't work. The bottom of the cabin did not have a wrap-around cover or barrier to prevent animals from making nests below (could hear critters within the wall and scratching under the cabin. The walls all had water damage from mopping (along the baseboards). I was pleased with the basics being provided- utensils, cookware, etc. My family enjoyed the pool and the playground. However, I would recommend updating the playground as it is quite worn. Nice fire pit area for guests and staff was very nice.
Apparently do not arrive late. When my guests arrived, they were told that any later and he would not have been there (we had a large group and was in three different rentals. This small group got the cabin).
Best bestfriend getaway ever!
Cutest little cabin! Loved the time there!
Home like resort away from home
I really enjoyed my stay at Seaside RV Resort. I'd most definitely stay at this place again. The cottage was very clean and home like. I loved it!!! The only downside was the Ranger named Tom, he was extremely grumpy!!!
Nice getaway from the city, don't forget your bedf
Great place but Hotels. Com did not provide info that we needed to bring our own linens and towels. This I not a hotel but a great large RV park with small cabins for non campers. Private bathroom, small kitchenette but all you would need. Nice quiet place! Had a great poolhouse and hot tub, game room, family friendly
stayed 2 nights and visited seaside and astoria. enjoyed gas grill and swimming pool.
Great stay! Tried out the tiny house.
Beautiful little cabin. Cozy and well equipped with kitchen ware. Staff was very nice. Other guests were friendly. Pool and games were wonderful for the kids. Felt very safe. Should mention on web site that you need to bring own bedding.
Pleasant stay after Hood-to-Coast Relay. The cabins are a nice alternative to traditional hotel stay.
Trip
Kids had a great time!
I had a great time! Thanks Seaside RV resort
I loved our cabin "203" very nice but the only down fall was the bed. It was to firm for me. Also Richard the park Ranger was very helpful and friendly! I would recommend this to anyone that wants to camp in a cabin. I wanted to also mention that NOT all cabins are as nicer then other and there are older cabins so I highly recommend when booking to make sure you let them know you want a newer cabin if you want a happy stay.
cottage is OK. I didn't know linens, pillows, bankers and towels wasnot included in the price. Price was still cheaper than a motel stay considering we were there for the big Volleyball tournament.
Trailer park camping cabin 3 miles from.beach
Cabin we were in was old and outdated. Beds were way to small and uncomfortable. Air mattress had a leak and whined the whole night. Everything was small and very basic. The other cabins around us looked much newer. They need to demo the last ones from yesteryear and update big time. Worst part was website said I was getting a queen bed but turned out it was a double and the bedroom was just the size to fir a double and a little walking apace on one side. So bed was surrounded by three walls. I'm 5'-9", I had to sleep diagonal. Good thing my 6'-4" husband didn't come with me. I can't imagine 2 people sleeping there. My daughter slept on pull out couch with an air mattress that leaked and therefore sank all night into a thin uncomfortable sheet with the bar right under her back. The rangers brought two single size camping pads to solve it. It was not worth $130 a night for one step above tent camping. Expedia did not do a good job conveying that we had to bring our own linens, towels and blankets and pillows or be charged on top of the nightly fee.
Good Cabin/Lack of communication
This was a great little cabin, however, I don't think that I would stay there again or become a member of Thousand Trails. There were a ton of rules listed and relisted in the paperwork, but not enough information about the facilities, such as hours of workout room, pool, rec room etc. Was in the rec room for a bit and could not find any information in regards to how to get the puck to play air hockey or how to obtain any of the necessary tools needed to play any of the games.
Very nice cozy cabin
Staff are very friendly. Cabin is a big surprise for us, the one we lived in is new, clean and fully functional. All of my family loved this place.
Nice little cabin
If we had to judge a place by first impressions of staff it would be a Zero. Seriously poor first impression with a gentleman who had absolutely no idea what planet he was on.... the one who did know what was going on was very slow to get us checked in. When we finally did get to our cabin I was pleased with how cute and clean it was. It had everything we needed in the cute little kitchen too! It was fairly tight for two adults and two kids but we made it work fine. Unfortunately , fire pits were not included and were $7.00 per day to rent a firepit and another $7.00 for the firewood!! The pool is open to families up till 8:00 pm which is a bit of a bummer because my kids are older and wanted to swim later but from 8:00 till 9:30 it is adults only. The kids could not scooter around the campground because it was all gravel roads.Overall I would come back again if I wanted to be at the coast and cabin camp!!
Tiny cabin in a RV park
The cabin was clean and new but not the same cabin I booked on expedia. We had to pay extra for linens and they wouldn't give us the cabin I had booked even though it was empty our entire stay because they blamed expedia for not updating pictures. We were cramped and miserable In a studio cabin.
beautiful
Wonderful cabins,a refreshing place to stay.I would defiantly stay again!
We stayed in a cabin in this RV resort. The cabin was small, one bedroom with bath and fold out couch. Mattresses and pillows very comfortable. The campsite had an indoor pool and spa and games: ping pong, air hockey, pool. A 5 min drive to the ocean. We would definitely stay there again!
Super
Very nice
cute cabin in an rv park
Our stay was great. The cabin was small but had all of the amenities we needed (cooktop, shower, etc...). There is a microwave, but no oven. Also there are no linens provided, you have to pay extra for them ($12/bag with an option of opening one or two bags). This means there are no towels, sheets for either bed or comforters unless you open the bags. We opened the bags and it was no big deal, just would have been nice to know.
