Mostly good – great location & friendly staff. The lights in the room were stupid though – no way to switch the individual lights on or off (just all of them at once), and the bathroom lights come automatically like a prison searchlight if you go in there during the night, so really wakes you up.

Recently renovated

The rooms were recently renovated and everything was nice. I would have been happy to have a kettle in the room for making a cup of tea, and also the lights in the bathroom were so dim that I could not do makeup. The whole lights system was rather difficult to grasp - too much light, then too little, then the bedside lamp would not light... and then it did not turn off.

Amazing location and food

Amazing location. Breakfast was so good lots of options. Had dinner in restaurant also fabulous

Great Hotel

Definitely recommend, stay was absolutely comfortable, rooms were excellent! amenities were top including the gym & sauna. Breakfast is a must… absolute variety and delicious all around; I don’t usually say this at all but worth the free breakfast or even paid breakfast (€26pp). You aren’t going to go hungry for most of the day after morning food visits.

I would definitely recommend my friends who travel to Helsinki and stay in this scandic hotel. Nice location!

Beautiful, well appointed hotel in a central location of Helsinki. Spacious rooms, fabulous breakfast and gym/sauna. Walkable to many city attractions. They will store your luggage if you arrive too early for check in.

It was a wonderful hotel. Stylish decor, beautiful rooms, and most importantly, delicious breakfast!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay here due to nice stuff, clean facility, walking distance to many excellent restaurants, shopping mall and some tourist attractions

We were only there for a night but would absolutely return. Great location, room & gym, amazing breakfast and very nice staff.

Wonderful hotel in Helsinki center

Convenient location, spacious and clean family room, very helpful front desk staff, especially Elise who went the extra miles to help us track down our lost wallet in a taxi in a previous city. Breakfast is also great. Highly recommend!

Great hotel opposite a park square close to the centre city but just slightly outside so it was quiet and comfortable.

This property is well-appointed and conveniently located for a short trip to Helsinki. The breakfast is excellent: quality and quantity are exemplary! We were not impressed with the cleanliness of the room. We were there for 3 nights and the bed was not made up once. We saw no sign of any room cleaning during our stay.

The ambiance was more luxurious than I thought it would be.i lived it! So clean and quiet. Our room was amazing , so spacious and comfortable! The breakfast was the best ever! I loved it!

Booked for 3 nights and had a lovely stay. Convient location just a 10 min walk to main station or hop on the no.3 tram just around the corner. Shops, bars ane restaurants all around. Hotel staff so friendly and helpful. The hotel has the same chilled vibe as all of Helsinki. We loved it. Breakfast is great and has a huge selection including a very nice fresh green smoothie. Would have no hesitation in staying here again.

Good location!

Good location. Though it's a very large hotel you don't feel like you are being overlooked. Very good breakfast. Room was comfortable. Bathroom was great, except the tub was very, very high and definitely could have used a grab bar to help with getting in and out.

Excellent location, comfortable, full breakfast

All is fine, breakfast is good, location is good, it is quiet, price is excellent, staff is friendly, on-site restaurant is good, but it would have been so much better for me to have a desk in the room. For some people of course this makes no difference. They have these open areas where you can work, but it's not very confidential, and sometimes others come and have conversations, making it hard to concentrate. Apparently there are rooms with desks, but I didn't think to ask, either this stay or my previous one. Now I know! And so do the readers of this review :-)

No complaints

Comfortable, excellent location, good restaurant

Excellent location, closer to the main parts of downtown than one might think. Dark curtains, well-functioning shower, comfortable bed, full breakfast buffet, but no desk or anything that can be made to function like a desk in the room -- they push you to their various open areas and meeting hubs, which didn't work for me. The Restaurant Il Centro is also excellent, with a wide selection, something for everyone, and reasonable prices.

Needs to address the lack of cleaning and replacement of wet towels with no way to dry them.

The place to stay in Helsinki

Scandic Hub has become our first and only choice when in Helsinki. It has exceeded our expectations in every way, and that’s the main reason we always go back. It simply makes our stay so easy and enjoyable. Perfect location, across from lovely park, in 2 - 6 block radius to all the main attractions; Esplanade, Market Square etc , the shopping; Forum, Kamppi, Stockmann, Marinekko, Muumins. Close to railway station and Kamppi terminal for buses. Easy 25 min taxi or uber drive to the airport. Great restaurants close by; Finnish, Japanese, Mexican, Nepalese, to mention a few. Hotel and rooms are spotless clean, service is fantastic and very accommodating. The breakfast buffet is absolutely the best and it’s included in the price. If you check out early morning before breakfast, they even make and pack you a healthy breakfast to go. We always stayed on 4th or 6th floor, with lovely view of the city and park. We shall return.

Peaceful and pleasant

Great location, nice hotel, hallway carpets are pretty gross. Best shower we have had in a ong time since traveling.

A great first two nights for our trip to Finland. Awesome breakfast-the best ever! Great weight room, sauna and room.

Perfect place for your Helsinki stay

We stayed at the Scandic Helsinki Hub for 3 nights. The stay could not have been better. From the location, which was centrally located at Kaampi, next to a lovely park and many good restaurants, to convenience, by the many transportation links right around the corner, we could not have ask for more. The hotel wss located around 15 minutes away from central station, by both foot and using the tram, so it made everything a lot easier. The room itself was very spacious, with plenty room for our luggage and all we have brought with us. An added bonus, the bed is adjustable both for the head/back, ane for the legs as well. The stuff at the reception were lovely and very friendly. We have made 3 seperate 1 night reservations, and the lady at the reception proactively recognized we have back to back reservations and offered us to stay at the same room for the entire stay. The breakfast is really nice and feel very Scandinavian, which I appreciated. The facilities are in a scandinavian design, and felt very warm and inviting. An added bonus is the free bikes for hotel guests to use, offering a lovely way to explore the city, which we have. This hotel turned out to be the perfect spot for us for our (too) short Helsinki stay. Highly highly recommend. Only thing I can add as a suggestion is to maybe add a reservation system for the hotel bicycles, as the 2 times we wanted to use them, they were all taken.

This place was amazing as many reviews have stated breakfast is fantastic. Parking was super expensive I must have missed 5hat point but still worth it

The location is great. I love the bulevadi area and being close to the design district. The renovation is still quite new so the rooms and facilities are nice for a three star.

Excellent stay and experience!

The room was lovely, sometimes a bit noisy with the fans on as the temperature wasn’t easy to maintain. During the clean the floor could have been hoovered or cleaned better. A lot of sand/dust was brought in from the streets and parks but was not cleaned up. This meant we ended up with dusty feet every time we got out of bed.

Out of the 9 Scandic's I've stayed in this was the best - a huge room and comfortable bed.

Great stay in the center of Helsinki

The location is nothing short than perfect. Could not be better. The hotel was great, everything new and clean. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Good bed. The floor in the bathroom is heated which is very pleasant. Only negative: our room had a bathtub and not a shower, and you have to climb rather high to enter the bathtub. For us it was ok, but might be a bit risky for elderly guests.

Beautiful loft like room very modern but very cozy with huge windows and excellent lighting, king size bed was luxurious and the sauna and gym were great too. And it was all very inexpensive. Probably the best night for the lowest rate in many countries in Northern Europe. Convenient location as well

This is a big, stylish comfortable hotel which serves a fantastic breakfast, When we had problems with the aircon we were moved without any fuss into a nicer room.

The staff was very friendly, and the hotel is close to every attraction.

I’m Glad I Chose Scandic Helsinki Hub

I recently enjoyed a two-night stay at the Scandic Hotel, and I was thoroughly impressed. The hotel appeared to be quite new and impeccably clean. My room was spacious and comfortable, providing everything I needed for a relaxing stay. One of the highlights was the breakfast area, which was large and offered an extensive selection of delicious food. It was the perfect way to start each day. The location of the hotel is excellent. It’s within walking distance to key points of interest: just a 10-minute walk to Central Station, a 5-minute stroll to the major shopping area, and there's a convenient tram stop nearby. This made exploring Helsinki incredibly easy. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at the Scandic Hotel and will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Helsinki. Highly recommended!

It is in a very central location on a green square with trees and statues easy to walk to the harbour or the main train station or big shopping streets. Surrounded by great restaurants too. The only negative is that they did not refill the minibar when they cleaned the room - which was good for our health !

Good standard hotel. Location is okay

We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. The included breakfast was not bad. They had a wide range of vegtables, charcuterie, hot foods (eggs and sausages etc.), juices, yogurt, chia seeds etc. The location is pretty good. Around 10-15 minute walk from the train station. Well connected via trams to the ferry terminals. Esplandi is just a 3 minute walk away. Cleanliness wise it was not bad. Pretty spotless when we arrived. They had USB and USB C charging ports which is a huge plus. Bathroom was big but the tub was a bit too tall for us (or we are just too short). They have conditioner, shampoo and body. We were in a room that was an adjoining room so all the noise could be heard from next door. Unfortunately there was also a bottle of half drunk soda in our mini fridge which was offputting but we told reception and they made a note of this to the housekeeping. The lobby is huge. They have sitting space on the ground floor and the first floor which is nice. Check in and check out was seamless. I wish that the sauna was open for longer times in the day instead of around 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening. The gym is big. Everything looks new and modern. Overall hotel was updated and good. Service was friendly and breakfast did its job.

Fantastic stay here - staff were helpful, room was spacious and clean, breakfast was plentiful, and the location is perfect for shopping/dining/walking around Helsinki. Parking is available in a secure garage next door - not cheap, but very convenient. Hotel restaurant is closed on Sundays FYI. I didn't use the sauna or gym but they are both available onsite. Great spot!

I really really loved the atmosphere and the tub in my room was amazing. I loved being able to soak in a massive tub after traveling for 20 hours.

The place is a gem, close to everything - shops, lots of dining restaurants, trams/metro. Breakfast has plenty of choices. Very welcoming staff. Thank you for the wonderful vacation experience!!

Location is great and the hotel overall is fine. The staff aren’t very friendly, which isn’t a huge issue (as we didn’t need to interact with them). Breakfast was chaos, they definitely need to put some order to it.

Beautiful hotel in incredible area!

Amazing hotel with incredible sauna and gym facilities, and the breakfast was incredible, such a wide range of food for all dietary requirements and all delicious! Rooms were clean and large and the bed was extremelty comfortable. Location was incredible right on the edge of the beautiful design district with lots of lovely shops, cafes, restaurants etc nearby, and a very safe area. And only 10 min walk from Senate Square. Incredible value for money in a usually expensive city, 10/10!

Good, central location

Excellent stay in a comfortable hotel conveniently located in central Helsinki.

Our stay was flawless, highlighted by the thoughtful design of both the hotel and our room. The staff were very welcoming and the service exceptional. Breakfast offered a diverse array of choices, and the gym and sauna were welcome extras. This hotel will undoubtedly be our go-to on our next Helsinki visit.

I recently stayed at Scandic Hub and it was fantastic! The staff were super friendly. The room was clean and comfy, with fresh towels and toiletries. Plus, the location was great, with plenty of restaurants and attractions nearby. The amenities, including the sauna and fitness center, were nice and added an extra layer of enjoyment to my experience. Overall, it was a really enjoyable stay, and I'd definitely come back again!

Central but quiet hotel

Hotel was lovely and central but off the main streets with the shops. Room was lovely and quiet, and could not hear between the rooms. The room did have some drink splatter on the walls when entering however this was quickly resolved by the staff.

Good, only breakfast could be more diverse

Great hotel. Only the breakfast was rather standard. How can we be in the Nordic countries and have no salmon in the breakfast buffet for instance? I travel a lot but have rarely seen that before.

It was a great hotel but felt it was a bit far from where we wanted to be. It gets very cold in the winter and we couldn't walk more then 15 minutes in negative degrees. When we were there it was about -15 degrees!

Very nice, well and centrally located. Highly recommended. Great breakfast except for the coffee, which unfortunately was not that good.

This property was terrific. Close to public transportation. Room was spacious, lots of space, unique system to hang clothes on the wall. You could adapt it to your needs. The water was hot, good water pressure in the shower, good sized towels, bright lights in bathroom. The bed was comfortable with multiple pillows to accommodate good sleep. The buffet breakfast was wonderful. Many choices from meats, cheeses and vegetables, as well as eggs, bacon, crepes and yogurts and berries. They offered delicious smoothies each day, as well as a variety of breads with freshly made spreads. I would absolutely stay here again! Thank you.
