One night!
Went for the night to celebrate an anniversary and the hotel sent us chocolate and champagne and rose petals to our room. What a nice surprise!
Its a special place take friends and have fun !
Royal Palms exceeded all my expectations! The property was absolutely stunning with incredible gardens even in the winter, the rooms were lovely and clean and the service was flawless. Will definitely stay again!
No self parking is really a big negative, an unnecessary cash grab. I have avoided hotels with valet only parking, and it will play into my decision to stay here in the future. I insist on parking and securing my car. It requires me to remove things from my car that is an inconvenience to me.

A lovely secluded paradise
High ratings overall / Mixed for Room Service
Lovely boutique resort, staff was very friendly. I visited during the New Year eve holiday. My only gripe is that I ordered room service two consecutive evenings. I ordered the exact same meal on both days however, the quality on the second day was wildly different and items were missing while others were present. Suggestion would be to have more quality control over room service meals such that the experience is akin to eating in the restaurant, especially given the price for room service.
Best hotel ever
Room need update
Wonderful stay!
Beautiful property, very safe and private. Great staff. Food and bar are amazing
Room outdated
Lovely property with beautiful gardens and grounds.
The Palms Resort was beautiful and well maintained. The surrounding area was also very nice. The restaurant at the resort T. Cooks was excellent. We used the bikes at the resort for a nice bike around the Scottsdale area. We will definitely be back.
We stayed at the props few years ago and thought we’d give it another go while visiting Scottsdale. My two biggest problems. First, I cannot understand a property not having self parking as an option. To add insult to injury, $40 overnight when the car was parked in the lot by the front entrance, about 100’ from the front of the hotel. $40 plus tipping every time we left added up. With all the parking on the property this was outrageous. Second, just an amenity issue. We have stayed at many hotels over Chriuandvthis is the first property that didn’t bring even a little Christmas treat to our room. Not a big deal, but come on…..for a boutique property with decent room rate, you could afford it !! May need to reconsider coming back next time we come to Scottsdale next year for baseball Spring Training.
Service at the hotel is really great! Unfortunately, the facility itself is desperately in need of updating. They downplay the condition by positioning it as a classic Mediterranean resort, one of a timeless age. Also, the layout of the villa is "choppy," making it a bit challenging for customers to navigate their way around. Lastly, the resort is directly on East Camelback Rd., making entry/exit difficult via car and virtually impossible on foot (no sidewalks!).
Romantic, beautiful getaway
I am absolutely determined to return here with my husband when we have more time. We absolutely loved everything about it.
Everything about my stay was amazing! The staff, the food, the hospitality for my birthday and being upgraded to a villa for free! I will stay here again!
Nice size rooms
Beautiful place. Exorbitant prices- $10 for 4 slices of bread
Reception/front desk staff and valet staff were amazing but rest of experience was not great. Food was mediocre (tried 4 different dishes and none of the dishes were that great). Poolside service was horrible! Has a good massage but the spa itself was nothing special.
Amazingly relaxing
Relaxing stay
Beautiful hotel with lovely grounds and views of the Camelback Mountains. Relaxing bar/lounge and good breakfast. Convenient location to town and hiking near by
Our stay was amazing. The staff took care of us and were all very friendly. I would highly recommend staying here.
Great hotel, great quiet bar and great restaurant you don’t have to leave the property
What a beautiful, special place to stay in Scottsdale. Great food in the restaurant and the staff was great. Easy Uber rides to the airport and old town Scottsdale. Would love to stay there again!
For a resort advertising it is a small and very old place. Rooms are damp and not enough electrical plugs for a modern family. We could have done much better in other resorts. Final bill was $40 more. One night they charged valet parking of 2 cars while we had only one car.
I love the property! The area around the pool deck is in need of repair
This resort was really lovely. The grounds and gardens are beautiful. It's in a busy surrounding area but was like returning to a little oasis of peace and beauty. We only stayed 1 night but we really enjoyed it and wished we could have stayed longer. The staff was very attentive.
This property was phenomenal. So beautiful and clean, the restaurant was delicious and the staff was made us feel so welcome. Can’t wait to go back!
Staff was incredibly nice
Relaxing Oasis
Relaxing Oasis This Hyatt unbound collection hotel is a hidden gem with beautiful views of Camelback Mountains. From the moment my dog and I arrived the front desk service (Marissa) was exceptional, accommodating while helping us feel right at home. They are a very pet friendly hotel, with complimentary pet amenities (dog bed, ball, frozen all natural treat, dog bowl mat, along with a nice cold bottle of water or champagne upon check in. The in room dining comes from their main kitchen at T. Cooks restaurant, all their meat and produce is locally sourced. Be sure to try their pasta as it is homemade and can be made GF homemade as well! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing oasis, home away from home experience.
We love staying at Royal palms whenever we visit Arizona. A nice relaxing getaway from the city
Beautiful resort and great staff. Only negative imo is that they only offer valet parking option - and it’s $40/day.
I really enjoy well-appointed properties with a historic aspect to them. The grounds are lovely, staff is welcoming and accommodating, and the food choices on premises are very good.
This is a beautiful hotel. The staff were very friendly which made our stay pleasing. Shout out Christian at the pool. His service toward us was and is outstanding. What got me is that he remembered our name after only meeting him for perhaps half an hour during our check in. The next day he was there giving us the first class treatment. He is an excellent employee of the Royal Palms resort. The guys at the valet were very gracious with their service. This hotel with their staff is a must stay. We will be back in future visits to Phoenix.
This property reminds me of a mini Hearst Castle, with its Spanish tiles, pools, fountains, palm trees and sculptures. It has class. Rooms are large, quiet and luxurious with three types of window treatments to really black out the light. And, the drapes overlap so there is virtually no light coming through. Staff is extremely helpful at all times. Shout out to Wes and Barbara who do the history tour about the resort. Wonderful and very informative. Dan, the night security guard, helped me the last time I stayed at the resort when I needed a flat bed tow truck for my car, which had a flat tire. He checked on me periodically as I waited for the truck to make sure I was taken care of and he went above and beyond in that role. On my recent stay, Aimee, who is the event manager, stopped by and chatted while I was at the pool. The pool is open 24 hours, which is very nice and it's cool in the summer, not 110 degrees. The hot tub is at a perfect temperature. Cars are parked in covered parking out of the hot sun. I highly recommend registering for the mixology class at the bar. The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable about cocktails and make their own syrups from scratch. Some taking days to infuse. It's really fun to take their classes. I have been to other resorts in Arizona and this is by far my favorite. It exceeds all my expectations on every visit. Managers are attentive and go beyond. Scottsdale Fashion Square is 8 minutes away. Museums are about 20 minutes away.
Just a great resort property. Very beautiful and the entire staff are some of the best I've ever seen. It really is a great property. One of the best.
Loved the old hotel authenticity.
This property felt secluded and safe. Unfortunately, there was a particular oder to the shower water and the room floor was creaky and uneven in certain areas.
Stayed for my wife and I’s 11th anniversary and the entire experience was gorgeous!!
Enjoyed it!
Staying at this property felt like we were transported to another part of the world!!
Nice stay.
Always the best
Amazing historical hotel. Beautiful rooms and pool and excellent food.
Staff was very accommodating.
Wonderful views, great room that was clean with a lot of space. I loved it, didn’t feel like I was at a hotel at all. More like I was staying in a huge house. The pool area was great and pool staff was great as well.
breathtaking gardens
This is a beautiful place hidden from noise! Feels like you are transported into other times with all of its gardens, and gathering areas. This stay was for a business trip but we are already making for a vacation here.
Beautiful!!!
Historic building and grounds are beautifully kept.
Power outage on check in day had no estimated time for the power to be back up, booked to celebrate my birthday and it just wasnt a good experience.
Stayed at the Royal Palms for our 12 year wedding anniversary and it was a dream! From the moment we arrived Wes the concierge was so kind and welcoming, provided us with welcome champagne glasses and chocolate strawberries for our anniversary. The room is stunning with the open terrace and tub. The grounds are magical to walk around and the pool was tons of fun. We had dinner at T.Cooks on the property and it was delightful. 5 star hotel no doubt!
Front desk staff not helpful
The property is beautiful, but shortly after check in the wing we were in lost power. We were originally told that the power would be back on in 2 hours or less. Onnce the 2 hours were up we were told theyvhad no eta. Front desk staff made excuses about how they could give us a refund and were generally unhelpfull.
Beautiful
This is my favorite boutique resort in AZ. Never a disappointment always spectacular!
Loved it! T. Cooks was great, our room was perfect and we loved how quiet it was, along with the music playing all around the resort. Had a great stay.
Beautiful environment
This is a great hotel. The grounds and pool area are so very beautiful. We had a daybed at the pool and they took excellent care of us. The on-sight restaurant "T Cooks" was wonderful for breakfast and dinner. We would definitely return.
Best service! Amazing resort ! Beautiful views
Very comfortable rooms. Valet was very helpful with parking and charging our e Mini Cooper. Grounds are very quaint and cozy. Free use of spa amenities without needing to book a massage or treatment. Would highly recommend
Great hotel
Amazing
Beautiful quiet property with lots of charm and excellent service! Centrally located but away from the crowds!
What a beautiful place. Definitely an old money low key vibe. Spanish colonial architecture. Winding paths across the landscaped grounds, lots of little nooks and cranny’s. Pool and hot tub was 24/7 which is nice when you arrive late. Poolside service was attentive.
Doesn’t feel like a 5 star resort
Totally disappointed with the several power outages on Saturday with estimated repair time which totally messed up the schedule. Checkin and specially checkout experience was disappointing also due to the front desk associates unprofessional attitude.
Historic boutique hotel in central Phoenix. Beautiful grounds, attentive, helpful staff. Quiet.
Beautiful property!
Beautiful property that makes you feel like you are in a hacienda in Spain
Have always loved this hotel. Unfortunately, it was grossly understaffed and the staffing they did have was somewhat pleasant with no training of 5-star customer service. Many of the spa services were “not available” because only 4 technicians were working this past weekend with a hotel at capacity. I hope they can turn it around - sadly disappointed and very underwhelmed.
This property is really beautiful! Wes checked us in when we arrived and he was so pleasant and helpful - great experience there. The room was clean and the views from almost anywhere on property are gorgeous. So many little spots to just relax and "zen out" if need be. We did a spa day and the spa was nice. The dressing room areas are a little small, but clean so that was most important to us. It was a busy wedding weekend, but seeing how beautiful everything was just made it better. A great property and I would definitely stay again!
This resort is very quaint and amazing. Amazing views and place to get away.
My wife and I enjoyed our stay. The property has several little gardens that are beautiful. The pool and pool staff were very nice and took good care of us. We had breakfast at the restaurant and it was just average for the price. Overall we would stay here again.
Beautiful, peaceful, private resort. The staff were professional, friendly and accommodating. The fireplaces and fountains in our casita and throughout the resort were wonderful surprises.
Great food and location
The check in person was not friendly, the room service folks were great and food and location were good but I did have to haul my own bags from my room which didn’t seem right paying $900 a night. I expected more luxury service. The photo of the room I chose had a firepit on the patio and grass. Mine had neither of those
Felt like a true getaway! Beautiful property with even better customer service. Very clean and comfortable. A must stay!
This property is beautiful!! The scenery is awesome! The staff was wonderful and ensured i was comfortable and my needs were taken care of. I would definitely stay here again my next trip to Phoenix. Oh, my spa experience was wonderful!!
Beautiful grounds. Warm and inviting atmosphere in bar and restaurant. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
It's absolutely gorgeous. Our room was clean and cozy. We had beautiful views from our patio. We walked around the resort and enjoyed every moment. It was relaxing just to be on the grounds. The stay was worth every penny.
Beautiful property and amazing Staff. Barbara walked us to our room and told us about the history of the hotel. She added a lovely touch to our stay. The breakfast was wonderful and Jeff was friendly and attentive.
One of our favorites! Quiet. Lots of ambiance. It's just so easy to feel relaxed there.
Terrific experience!
The Palms is a wonderful unique resort and T Cook’s is one of the best restaurants one could enjoy. A magical place to stay.
Spoil yourself, stay here!
Absolutely magnificent. Staff super friendly, the property is amazing and very well kept. From the valet guys (super nice and warm guys), to reception (professional and very welcoming) to the barman and servers at T Cooks. Eat on property, the food is amazing. The non alcoholic cocktails were also fantastic. All the historical nuances of the mansion are preserves, it's so beautiful. Alvador spa experience was fantastic.
the resort was great staff was great T cooks was great the only thing that got me was that there was really nothing to do at night in the hotel but go to the bar and listen to a house type band that was not to my liking . i would have liked to play darts or shoot some pool or anything else other then sit and stare at the stars and listen to old people
We absolutely enjoyed our stay. Service is outstanding. Food was great and a lot on each plate. Pool was nice. We look forward to going again.
The staff was simply amazing… every interaction was above standard… beautiful property!!
Extra charges
Was disappointed that there was a high resort fee and you had to valet your car and then they charged for parking. That seemed excessive
Amazing thanks!
Magnificent historical property
A beautiful, romantic getaway! Highly recommend! Excellent service and fantastic dining options. We can’t wait to return!
They offer old world charm in an environment that is warm, inviting and first class. After staying there for 5 days, I have to give kudos to the staff. Every interaction was friendly, helpful and professional. The property itself is awesome. It has charm, terrific views of Camel Back mountain, and is set up so that corporate events, weddings are kept separate and private from individual and family guests. I will definitely be going back.
Amazing property
I was a bit disappointed . The last time I was here, it was not owned by Hyatt. It seems a bit run down in areas and not well cared for. The check in area seemed cluttered and tacky. I remember it as pristine, very up- scale and classy. It just seemed like another commercial property— not unique— and overpriced. Disappointed!
host and help very nice
small but big issue
Good Afternoon, The resort and all the staff was very pleasantly receiving and the ambiance was truly a delight for my wife an I. Only issue, and unfortunately is a big one for us, is that our room was infested with assortments of bugs (ants and tiny spiders) We checked in late in the evening and didn't notice them till our next morning showers....First easily noticed on the The shower curtain, which made us look down throughout the floor and therefore noticed that they were everywhere on the floor from that point forward traced them into the bedroom and near the fireplace. I presented the issue first thing, brought some of the physical proof on a piece of toilet paper of the bugs we killed. The staff was very attentive & apologetic but was also told not much could be done about it other then refunding a resort fee. It was only a 1 Night stay for us but Wife and I are not feeling very accommodated about that. -Rob Medina
Love this resort. So peaceful and unique. Definitely would stay here again!
My daughter and I chose this property for a mother/daughter getaway. It was perfect!! The staff was amazing and other than the Arizona summer heat, the stay was absolute perfection.
Excellent customer service. They took us personally to our room. They welcomed us with a glass of wine. Can't get any better than that.
Wonderful place! Already planning for next year

Beautiful resort. Everyone was very pleasant and eager to serve. Made our stay here wonderful.
