Great nights sleep

Grumpy woman on night shift reception. Maybe she is going through something. Day staff were great. For the price it’s not a bad hotel. I slept very well because it’s so high up and quiet. Would stay again

1) Bed mattress is poor condition and hard. 2) Pillow is also quite flat. 3) Some towel are stained. 4) Slippers is used, old and dirty.

If you want a Motel 6 experience, this is the place. I was extremely disappointed, and it left a bad impression of Thailand. I contacted the hotel via email days before my trip to request an early check-in, and they assured me it wouldn’t be an issue. However, when I arrived several hours before check-in, the front desk told me it wasn’t possible. I tried asking about the local area and for assistance, but they ignored me. After I was finally allowed to check in, I continued to be ignored every time I went through the lobby. Terrible service—I wouldn’t recommend this location. Now, the room itself: after a 36-hour journey to Thailand and a long wait to check in, I entered the room, and it smelled heavily of mold and mildew. The bed sheets were completely stained black. Since the front desk refused to acknowledge my presence, I was stuck in a filthy room. The air conditioner gave off a strong moldy odor, so I had to leave it off. The curtains were blackened at the bottom, and mold covered parts of the walls. For anyone considering this place to save money—run, don’t look back. This experience left a terrible taste in my mouth for the entire trip.

Nice hotel

The reason we picked this hotel up is its walkable distance to Central Rama 9 and Jodd fairs. They have complimentary Toke Toke transportation service to the MRT Station too though you can walk for about 15 min. 7/11 is around the corner and many eateries are in the area. We will stay again.

Good hotel. Absolutely worth the price you pay. Excellent food- we ate some of our meals here too notjust breakfast. Good service. Polite staff. My only concern would be the housekeeping would sometimes give only one big towel and other small towels in a room where there were two people. Also the Aircon was not as powerful. All in all very good and would recommend.

Actually it is a Nice hotel, staff is friendly and the room is big and clean. But it is about far away from MRT, we need to take 20 mins walk from MRT to hotel. Every thing is good exact distance.

Good location, cheap stay, included free breakfast

Room really clean and provided with all necessity including hair dryer, electrical jug kettle, extra pillow, drying rack in the balcony if you need to wash clothes. Same as photo shown in the website. Coined operated washing machine, dryer and water dispenser are available near the car park. Tuk-tuk service to metro station every 15min is a plus. You can take tuk tuk back from metro to hotel with 60baht. Alternatively, you can also walk from metro, along the road with shops and eatery stall. You can get everything conveniently from shopping to food in the mall, Tesco Lotus and Central Plaza if you not feeling to travel into the city. You can get to Ratchada night market easily by metro to Thailand Culture Center station and also Chatukchak market. A convenience store and restaurant near lobby. Overall was an excellent stay with reasonable price and convenient.

Quiet and comfortable

Quiet hotel, inexpensive and close to MRT. Its walking distance from MRT if you don't have too much lugagge. As mentioned before you can walk through the shortcut at Tesco. I had the better room, which had a safe and coffee making facilities. The hotel is a mix of short stay and long term rooms. The breakfast was ok. One thing i have to criticise are the manners of the security guard on duty and the tuk tuk driver on duty. When you get out of the hotel the security guard is about 4 meters across the driveway. They don't worry to say hello or smile at you. Infact when you walk out they look the other way. The tuk tuk driver also does not bother to greet, but in the tuk tuk is a Tip box. For what!! Both needs umproving. Otherwise all was OK for the price. If you are two people in one room the queen bed is a bit small and a twin room may be a better choice. I travel regularly to Bangkok and will stay there again.

Disgusting stains on bed comforter!

Only reason I stayed there was because my dentist appointment was near by.I always check the bed comforters and sheets. This comforter had disgusting feces stains and lots of them on the side which wasn't visible unless flipped over. The maids didn't apologize because they didn't know a word of English, but instead pointed to a knob on a drawer as if that's what caused the feces stains. Place was very hard to find and the room was old, filthy and had mold in shower. .Only good thing was the manager was nice lady., I would not recommend staying here.

Great I cane here with plan to rest 2 days after month of traveling. Stayed here 4 night. Quiet place, finally comfortable bed that isn't hard as rock, daily cleaning, free shuttle to MRT altought there's shortcut near tesco if you wanna walk. Not really close to attractions for Bkk first timers. But near MRT so you're connected with rest of city. Oldest lady at reception us very friendly with good english. Totally recommend place.

a little outdated yet well maintained

Good value in a well maintained somewhat old condo-type building. Walking distance to the Phra Ram MRT station if you know the short cut, or you can use their tuk-tuk service. Very quiet since it’s in a residential area, with no stores in direct vicinity, yet there are malls and supermarkets at the MRT station and many restaurants at the main street. The cardio equipment of the gym wasn’t working. Staff is friendly and rooms clean. Would stay again.

Very difficult to locat the address, even taxi drivers had difficulty to locat the hotel it’s in very bad area.

Inexpensive but not great service

The hotel is quite difficult to find by taxi and off the main road. The room was okay for the price, the furnishing was quite out-dated. The staff were not very helpful and quite slow. when checking out, the receptionist was quite confused and slow with service. she ordered a taxi for me without asking. When I told her I would prefer to take the train due to traffic, she was quite resistant to cancelling the taxi and only did so after much discussion. When asking another receptionist for directions to the market, he strongly discouraged going but did not have a good reason (the market was great and I had no problems).

Convenient and comfy

Room was great, bed was really comfy. The shower was not separated from the toilet though, so that was a bit disappointing. Friendly staff, the tuk tuk service to the mall was helpful. Would reccomend.

Decent Cheap Hotel

I booked this hotel as it was ideally located close to Ratchada and was relatively cheap. The hotel was nothing fancy but was good value for money and clean. It is located in a quiet back street so you are protected from the noise of the city streets. It has a handy little shop and decent enough restaurant. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would use the hotel again.

Great value for money

An enjoyable stay. Located in a great neighbourhood just a short walk from the Phra Ram 9 MRT Station. There is a free tuk-tuk service the the station if you don't have the energy to walk! Friendly staff, clean, quiet rooms and a nice restaurant made this a great value for money stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Clean and good value.

This is a perfectly clean and reasonable place to stay for a while. I stayed for eight days. It's a good value, just don't expect super fancy. There is no coffee maker or electric kettle in the roam. However, you can get a good cup of coffee in the restaurant for 40Baht. I found buying breakfasts in the morning (eggs, toast, coffee) to be reasonable. The hotel about a ten minute walk from the Phra Ram 9 station. There is a free shuttle to the MRT. You can call the hotel to have the shuttle bring you to the hotel from the MRT. The staff was friendly and very helpful Good value.

Cheap and big rooms, near to Phra Ram 9 MRT

Cheap and big apart-hotel in a quiet and non touristy side of Bangkok city. Near to Phra Ram 9 MRT (8 min walk) which will you bring to everywhere easily but do take note of the small walkway right after Tesco for the shortcut to the hotel. Every room comes with a balcony with an extendable clothes rack for those who need to wash their clothes. Big size rooms, similar to hotels in the past. The room are for a mix of usual short term hotel stay and long term apartment stayers.

Good quiet budget hotel

I regularly stay in this part of town and this was my first stay at Tanatawey. There are a few downsides like variable (free) Wi-Fi connection, having only the one set of room lights which are located next to the entrance to the room, and for a hot shower lover, low water pressure. But for the price, the comfort, the great staff and the convenience of being near the MRT with a free shuttle on call, this will be my future lodgings when I'm near Phra Ram 9.

Wonderful Hotel

I decided to stay at Tanataway Places after studying several other affordale hotels in Bangkok. The great reviews about this hotel from other travellers on this website compelled me to choose Tanataway Places. Well, my stay turned out to be truly memorable and fantastic. The front desk employees were so friendly and helpful. They speak fluent English, and they answered every question and made things worry free. Housekeeping made sure my room, which was spacious and fabulous, was always cleaned and taken care of - they were excellent. The shuttle service was always reliable and definitely a plus. It was the first time I rode a tuk tuk(of course it was my first visit to Thailand). And the restaurant inside the hotel served delicious homemade thai food. Overall, Tanataway Places greatly exceeded my expectations. I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel staff's friendliness and sincerity. It was like staying with family members - actually much better. There is a Tesco supermarket-superstore nearby along with a massive food court. There are also several mom and pop stores in the vicinity and a huge 9 floor mall across from tesco. So whatever you need is very close by. To sum things up Tanataway Places was truly wonderful. If I ever get back to Bangkok in the future, I will certainly stay at this hotel again.

The room depicted in the website are different from the actual room assigned. The furnishings and deco is a throwback to the 80s style, and the aging facilities show. The staff are helpful and friendly though

Tired hotel with slow wifi

Pros: 1) Very polite and friendly staff. They were the highlight of my stay. 2) Only a 10 min walk to Rama 9 MRT / Central Plaza mall. Though the surrounding residential neighborhood is a bit of a maze to get through - easy to get lost at night. 3) Cheap room rates. Cons: 1) Hotel is worn down; my room's toilet malfunctioned on 3 occassions, each time causing me to have to wait for an engineer to fix. They finally moved me to a different room. My room's card key scanner had to be replaced late at night which took an hour. Gym is old and in bad shape - several of the equipment pads are ripped with the itchy yellow filler exposed. 2) Like many budget hotels in Thailand, the beds are hard and uncomfortable. 3) Onsite laundry is full-service with 1 day turnaround, and is expensive. I would've preferred cheap coin operated machines to save $. 4) Wifi is unbearably slow.

Love the hotel, Love the neighbourhood

Quality hotel, with great staff. Low cost yet it has a sauna, laundry, fitness room, excellent restaurant, and a tuk tuk to take you to the MRT, otherwise 7/8 walk. Only drawback, I wish there was a coffee maker in the room. For the rest, I love the neighbourhood, it is quiet and very safe, instantly accessible to central Bangkok (MRT 2 stops or taxi BHT 80, and BHT 300 taxi ride to the airport. Close to major shopping centres (Fortune Tower and Esplanade). Difficult to find a better deal in Bangkok.

Fantastic Staff and Great Room with Balcony & Wifi

I loved my stay at Tanatawey Places as a Sole Female Traveller. The staff were exceptionally friendly (each and everyone of them) and I loved my Room which was like having my own Studio Flat in Bangkok. My room had a huge Balcony and the air con and free fast Wifi worked well. The hotel and my room were really clean and free bottled water and toiletteries were provided on a daily basis without fail. The hotel provide a free Tuk Tuk Service every 15 mins to the MRT Train Station. The MRT station was only a 7 min walk from the hotel along with 2 fantastic Shopping Malls. There was loads of street food nearby also. I loved my staff here, felt safe and will definitely stay again on my next trip to Bangkok.

The hotel is older, but the owner has done a great job keeping the building nice and the rooms clean. For its price, the rooms are nice/clean, the beds soft, and the staff are very friendly. I'd stay there again.

Excellent value for a great stay!

The location of this hotel is perfect, a 2 minute walk from central plaza/the underground train (which connects to the over head train and together can reach most of the city at a fast speed) or take the free hotel tuk tuk, although it only leaves every 15 minutes. The breakfast, along with all their food was delicious. The gym was lacking but probably more sufficient for the average goer. Laundry was a bit expensive but there are cheap, pay machines everywhere. The hotel itself was amazing for the price. The pics show what the rooms look like so no need for a depiction. Staff are extremely helpful and very nice, helping us with all our needs and even organising the tuk tuk to go out of its way to take us to our destination! Very pleased. Ps: We couldn't find a taxi or a tuk tuk driver who know the hotel by name, so just say central plaza and fortune tower and they'll drop you off close by.

Great hotel for its price

The staff were very nice and useful, Inside the hotel was very clean, more than I expected for its price. The hotel was very close to3 major city transit train. One goes to the airport in a short time. I paid 500 baht taxi fare from the airport to the hotel when I arrived in Bangkok. when I left I paid 52 baht train fare to the airport. However , it is very hard to find the hotel the first time you go there. your best bet is to take the train to Makkasan station and take a cab to the hotel from there. The hotel has a riksha shuttle from the hotel to the closest train station called Phram ram 9 part of MRT transit system. The TV channels were mostly in Thai and picture quality was not good but who cares about TV when you are in Bangkok. The neighborhood around the hotel was poor and commercial and pretty safe

Cleanest and Well Appointed Hotel; Beats a 5-Star

Yes, as far as cleanliness goes, this hotel beats even the best 5-star hotels I have stayed in. The linen, towels, comforter, and the bed were pristine white and smelled nice as if they had just come out new and cleaned from the factory. Toiletries were exceptionally high quality – not only shampoo, body wash, lotion; they also had nice dental kit, ear swabs, comb, etc. Everything was outstanding about this hotel, but then why did I take off one star? Two reasons. Though the hotel is only about half a mile from the station, I didn’t feel good walking back to the hotel after dark. One has to pass through desolate and narrow alleys and there are lots of twists and turns that one has to remember. In Bangkok, one would not like to be back to hotel by 6 PM, and so this was a negative. I would still have given it a 10/10 rating but for an incident while I was checking out. The lady at the reception told me that “there was something with the ashtray”. She didn’t elaborate if it was broken or missing. I had not even paid attention if there was an ashtray in the room, and ashtrays are nowadays considered eyesores in US homes and so stealing one was out of the question. She had me sign a piece of printed paper that had something she wrote in Thai which I didn’t understand, but I was in a hurry to catch my flight, and so signed. This didn’t leave a good taste when I left.

Best Value in the Best Location

I absolutely loved my stay at Tanatawey Place. I stayed 8 nights while looking for an apartment and exploring bangkok for the first time. The location is the best part for sure. Bangkok is a huge city with tons of traffic and Tanatawey is about 5 minutes walking distance to the MRT (metro). They also have a free tuk tuk service to the MRT every 15 minutes throughout the day. The room was very nice and clean. We were on the 7th floor with a great view of Thailand. We also ate at the restaurant quite a few times and it was very good. Big portions with great prices and super convenient for breakfast or after a long day of exploring bangkok. The staff were very friendly and helpful through our whole stay. I highly recommend Tanatawey Place for anyone who will be staying in bangkok. I will stay there the next time I visit for sure!

Stayed during ourv1st visit to Bangkok. Could not fault anytjing about the hotel. Location, room and breakfast all excellent. The staff in reception were very helpful in giving us directions. They even have a tuck tuck to the tesco lotus every 15 mins. Would definatley reccomend it

Excellent service, comfortable room

For the money paid this was excellent value for money. The room was comfortable and gave a "safe feeling" to the occupants. There was no safe in the room hired thru Hotels.com which was a bit of a shame, but it was still OK to leave stuff at the reception safe. 'Will definitely stay there again.

Your own place

I stayed in this hotel for a week, and it was a pleasant stay. Its basically you leaving in a studio with a bathroom & balcony. There's free breakfast, a fridge that runs 24/7 in the room, electric kettle to make coffee, hot water for noodles, etc., free wi-fi, shuttle ride to the MRT, and the staffs here are amazing. Each and one of them are helpful, friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable. To get to this location- take the MRT to Phra Ram 9 (Fortune Mall/Tesco Lotus side), walk to the end of the mall, go through the mini-driveway (everyone takes that shortcut), go straight two mini blocks & turn left. This hotel is reasonable & comfortable. Great location for food & shopping. Downstairs is a cafe to eat from if you want to stay indoors, and to read magazine/books. Around the corner is a 7-eleven (the one closer to the mall) and across from that 7-eleven (to your right) is a woman & her husband that makes really good "phat tai" in Bangkok. If not, there's two mall to eat from Tesco Lotus or use the underpass to get to Central Mall, and the stalls outside of those malls are good too. I had no problem during my stay & will come back once I'm in Bangkok again.

One of the best

I have stayed at this hotel on several ocassions and it will always be my No. 1 choice. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very large and clean rooms with balconies. Din Daeng is a great neighbourhood that reflects the true Bangkok and its extremes, from the Street markets and street cafes, to the mega shopping malls, and late nights clubs and bars. The hotel is located in a quiet location, yet is only 5 minutes walk to the bustling Ratchadaphisek Soi 3, 5 minutes to Tesco Lotus and the Fortune building, and 7 minutes to the Phra Ram 9 MRT, from where, it is 2 stops to Asoke for the BTS, or 7 stops for the Chattachuk Weekend Market. Definitely well worth staying here.

Great location. Great neighbourhood. 7 minutes walk to the MRT. Great Staff. Excellent Service. Large, clean rooms with breakfast included. Easy and cheap access, by taxi, from the airport. Forget Khaosan Road, Sukhumvit and Silom, this is the place to stay. There is also a Thai/English bar close by that shows all the Premier League Games. Plenty of international restaurants and street cafes close by. I have stayed in several hotels in Bangkok but this is definitely my Number 1 choice.

Best by far

Excellent. Although the price is cheaper than almost anywhere in Bangkok (and I have stayed in several hotels in Bangkok), the service is superb, the staff areextremely friendly, the neighbourhood is great and there are excellent links to any part of the city. I have read mixed reviews of this hotel,but, as a seasoned traveller, worldwide, I will definitely give it 10 out of 10. It will always be my my 1st choice when travelling to Bangkok. 5 minutes to Phra Ram 9 MRT. Great neighbourhood. Very comfortable rooms. Great restaurant. Excellent Laundry. Couldn't ask for more.

場所がわかりにくい

価格相応だと思います。

日本から女1人で宿泊しました。総合的には、フロントの方も対応が良いし、トラブル無く宿泊出来たのでとても満足しています。 以下少し細かい所です。 駅から歩く時に少し暗いところもありましたが、近くにセブンイレブンや小さな屋台がたくさん出ていて、環境は良いのかなと思いました。セントラルワールドやナイトマーケットも徒歩圏内です。 ただ、重いスーツケースを持っている方は少し大変かもしれないので、駅から無料のトゥクトゥクサービスを使うと良いかと思います。 少し道が入り組んでいるかもしれませんが、私の場合はgrabを使ってマップ上指定すれば、皆さん道に迷うことなく来てくださいました。 部屋は少し古さを感じましたが、問題ありませんでした。ただ、シャワーの水圧がまあまあ弱かったです。 私が泊まった部屋は、ドライヤー、タオル有り、歯ブラシ系、櫛、手洗い石鹸等のアメニティは無しでした。シャンプーとボディーソープが備え付けでありましたが、個人的には泡立ちが物足りず洗った気があまりしなかったので、気になる方は持参したほうが良さそうです。

4泊させていただきましたが、スタッフの皆さんが、とても優しく快適に過ごすことができました。 ホテル内レストランは味、値段ともに最高で、それ以上にスタッフが素晴らしいです。 周辺の施設、地下鉄も近く、かなり便利だと思いますので、日本のかたたちにも是非行っていただきたいです。 有り難う御座いました。

This hotel is a little old and the shower room is small, but the value for money is very good. And there are many restaurants within walking distance, which is very convenient.

雖然位置有點偏遠，但酒店有提供免費Tuk-tuk接送往返最近MRT。而且附近有齊夜市，超市，便利商店，大型購物商場。挺方便的。

房間燈飾比較暗，廁所有漏水，,住宿一般，但酒店位於大型商場後面，從酒店步行到商埸及地鐵站大約10分鐘左右，十分方便，房價合理。

Prince/Performance

The location isn't bad. But it stays in the alley. Breakfast is not a buffet. However, even though we are vegetarians, they offered good options. The employees are caring and courteous. Cabinets and TV are a bit old. Generally clean. We did not encounter a very disturbing situation. We recommend in terms of price performance.

朝ごはんの仕組みが面倒くさい。一度チェックインの担当に声を掛ける必要があり、その後食事担当に声をかける必要がある。

性價比不錯

酒店雖處於內街，但也算方便。附近亦有不少路邊攤，也有大商場。 酒店不算新，但房間性價比也不錯，員工服務良好。

冷蔵庫のコンセントが抜けていたので自分で差し込んだが稼動せず、フロントに話したが結局そのままでした。冷蔵庫を少し動かして他のコンセントに挿して使用しました。 チェックアウト時にスコールがあり、タクシー到着までに1時間待ち。街中はものすごい渋滞でかなり余裕を持ったほうが良さそうです。

Hotellet er fint og personalet er meget imødekommende. Du kan tilkøbe morgenmad men køb det ude i byen istedet for det er bedre. F.eks. i det store center ved Phram 9. Alt i alt var der hvad vi skulle bruge og deres Tuk Tuk service fungerer rigtig godt. Det eneste minus er desværre at lokalområdet er ret fattigt så der kan du virkelig få en på opleveren ;-) men som sagt er det et godt og billigt hotel med fine hårde senge, god wifi og restaurant der fungerer fint, hvis man ikke vil tage ud og spise.

タナタウェーイ・プレイスが名前を変えてオープンしました

中華系企業により名前を変えて再スタートしたようです。そのため、中国人が多くなりましたがツアー客ではないようで、マナー違反は気になりませんでした。ホテルと長期滞在用のアパートメントの両用施設という内容は同じですが、アパートメントとしては細かな点で事実上の値上げになっています。

不錯的住宿

房價不高，房間空間感大，乾淨整潔，但家具設施較為老舊。酒店有免費接駁車出地鐵站，每15分鐘一班。

高性价比

酒店干净.舒适,性价比高,就是位置不太好找,周边路况比较糟糕. 部分房间Wi-Fi覆盖差.

ビジネスでない中長期滞在で、タイ語か英語が上手な人向き

タイ語または英語が自由自在に話せる人であれば、また知り合いと待合せたりする必要のない人なら、このホテルは静かでスタッフも親切で、とても良いホテルだと言えます。東南アジアですから、何かがないとか壊れたりすることがありますが、説明して交渉すれば迅速に対応してくれます。ただ、部屋によってはWIFIの電波が弱いので、仕事で来る人には不安。

Trevligt hotell

Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Rummet och bekvämligheter funkar bra för mig men det är ju inget lyxhotell. Restaurangen är toppen med god mat till lågt pris. Gångavstånd till Central Plaza mm. MRT stationen ligger bra till. Återkommer när jag åker Bangkok nästa gång.

コストパフォーマンス良

古いが部屋は清潔に保たれている。MRTまでロータスショッピングセンター脇を通れば徒歩５分(７時〜２３時それ以外は１０分) ロータスショッピングセンターは物販から飲食ま何でもありで便利です。

二度と来ないホテル

距離は近いが、道路の関係で第２ターミナルからは車で30分程かかる。空港周辺ホテルでは無料の片道送迎付きが多いのにない。 シャワーはお湯が出ず、水シャワー。 部屋に虫多い。 テレビの画質とチャンネル数は多くて、唯一の救い。 渋滞を避けるためのホテル以外には一切価値がない。

定宿になってるホテル

大変お世話になりました。毎回の定宿です。ホテルの従業員が、とても親切です。また来たいと思います。近くには食べるところや、ショッピングなどできるところがあります。部屋も広くなかなかいいです。朝食も美味しく頂きました。また伺います。ありがとうございました。
