Good stay

Great place for families and if you want to spend a few days in Ribe

Excellent property. Clean and well-equiped apartment. Oddly like a ghost town. Reception was not knowledgeable.

Staff were so friendly. Breakfast was lovely and fresh. The apartment was clean and tidy and had everything you could need in the kitchen. I will definitely be visiting again. It was a short walk into Ribe which meant we didn't have to drive. Such a lovely place.

Property was clean, staff friendly. There seemed to be a lot of openings but we were given a second floor room. We had to drag our luggage up outside stairs for a one night stay. Parking was also quite distant.

Lovely room and grounds, nice playground and activities for kids, great location.

Clean, basic, well located. No staff when we arrived but directions for use/entry clear and available.

Cozy apartment

Had a lovely stay, after my mother-in-law recommended the place. It was nice and tidy. The kitchen had coffee and tea, and basic utensils. The beds were comfy, the shower had plenty of hot water. There was a playground just outside of our “apartment”. Another bonus is that it is dog-friendly (for a fee).

Uncomfortable and disappointing

Didn’t tell us that bed linen and towels are not included and when we wanted to get some (costs extra) the reception was already closed and we had to sleep without linen and had no towels. Also, the furniture and set up of the apartment was super cheap which made this an overall disappointing experience.

If you are planning a visit to Ribe, stay here!

Ribe is an amazing place and staying here you are walking distance from almost everything. You need to bring your own sheets and towels or rent them from the property. So if you are coming from overseas and/or staying only a night or two, plan on that added expense (though it is very reasonable). If you are coming from the United States, as we are, this isn’t a resort like Disney or Universal Studios. But the rooms all had kitchens, living areas, bedrooms and bathrooms. If you’re staying for a while it is a fantastic place. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

Great place to stay

I really enjoyed my stay at Ribe Byferie. The receptionist were always extremely nice and helpful. They have bike rentals for 12 Kr a day, and there are also scooter and kayak rentals as well. Kitchens with all utensils, pots and pans. Microwave, oven, stove top, Medium sized fridge. There are a lot of windows on the apartment so it can get pretty hot during the summer. The views are wonderful, my suite included a rear porch, upstairs bunk-beds and master bedroom. Free tickets to the Ribe pool area that is near the down town area, and a card that gets you 10% off at a select few restaurants around the city. The best part was the grill area which included the charcoal and five grills for free usage. The fire pit was also great, and everything was extremely clean and orderly. The staff comes by every 7 days to clean, and will even hold your breakfast for you in the morning. The breakfast includes three bread slices, yogurt and a juice. If I'm ever back this way again, I will definitely stay at Ribe Byferie Resort.

Nice apartment well equi

Nice resort to stay for a few days, well equipped kitchen. Room very comfortable. Very clean place.

Pretty basic place but dirty

We found a candy wrapper in the bed when putting sheets on the bed. Then found ants in the kitchen. Since we had checked in after hours (they close check in early on Sunday but we were not informed of that and arrive at 1630 to find check in closed) there was nothing we could do and had to deal with a dirty room. When notifying staff about it later they were incredibly rude and did not offer anything other than an indignant look and insistence that it was Expedia's fault we were not I formed about early close of check in on Sundays. I would not stay here again.

Quaint resort

Nice little historic town. Resort is very clean, and quaint. Good facilities covering all bases. It's an apartment style resort, not a hotel, just in case folks are looking for that. The check is time bound so be sure to check what time your flight arrives. You also need to either bring or order a linen package.

Ribe a delight.

Very clean and well equipped apartment. An easy 10 minute walk into Ribe old town, which is a delight to explore. Only negatives to the resort are that you have park your car well away from the apartment (although you can load and unload), and the WiFi signal strength was poor.

Great place, great price

What a great place to spend some time with family with lots of space for kids, barbecue area and free parking. Staff was very helpful and the hotel is 10 minutes walking from the center of the town. The room was very clean and just as shown on pics. We would definitely stay there again if we come back to Ribe (preferably during Summer).

Byferie Ribe

Was a great surprise staying here. Friendly staff, great location, the facilities are new, well thought out and maintained. Everything was better than expected! Highly recommend Ribe the town and Ribe Byferie!!!

A short but splendid stay

Although a short stay it was splendid Clean, cozy, free wifi, great location...

Very relaxing but something need to improve

The room is large. However the bed is very bad, the mattress is very soft, seems the mattress has been used very long time. The water is not hot enough for shower. The breakfast is only a plastic bag with bread and milk inside and bring the breakfast bag back to room, no hot food. Checkout time is 10 am but not 11 am or 12 pm like other hotels. The atmosphere is nice, very relaxing, a river in front of the room, clean and tidy living area, friendly neighborhood.

Overall it is a great place. My only complaint is about having to pay thirty three dollars per person to have sheets and towels for the stay. This was told to us that we had to "buy"unless we brought our own. But they had to be returned at the end. Felt that was quite a gauge! At the very least we should have been able to keep them for that price. Never have ever had that experience before. So be aware if you aren't traveling with your own sheets and towels you will need to add it to the price of your stay. Otherwise a very nice place.

Great but some put offs!

We stayed at Ribe Byferie around end of May. Although the hotel amenities, cleanliness was great there were of couple of things that were off. Breakfast - We had paid additional for breakfast included. We were expecting hot served breakfast. Nowhere on their website they mention about what is available in breakfast. For 3 days in a row, they were packing the same breads from a local bakery, packed yoghurts, packed cheese packets in a bag. You have to collect it from the reception and take it to your room to eat. Staff - We felt the hotel staff was not very helpful. We needed some recommendations from them and did not see a whole hearted attitude to help. Although we were 2 ppl booked in the resort, they had towels and bedding arranged for 1 person. Their office closes at 4 so there was no way to get those. Too many directives - When you are on a vacation, you want to take a break from all the daily chores. Their instruction list has so many to-dos they also ask to start the dishwasher with 30 min cycle and keep the vessels back in place before you live Comfort - The rooms had no blinds on the windows. Since in the month of May there is sunlight quite late in the night, the curtains were not sufficient to block the evening sunlight. The sunlight can keep you up unless you are too tired too feel the sunlight through the window in the night.

Great Place in Ribe

Ribe was our favorite stop in Denmark, partly because of this "hotel". The units were so nice we decided to stay a third night. They had large, well-equipped kitchens, large living area, large dining table, beds for 5, plus 2 on the sofa/trundle...a small house. There was a private terrace out back, with clothesline! (The facility had a laundry, but the machine instructions were on the complicated side.) Great facility for families: playground, large outside BBQ area.

Check the details before booking

For # 1 resort in Ribe it was a shock to have to make our own beds, sweep the floors, not only do the dishes but also put them back EXACTLY as they were in the cupboards and the most unpleasant of all was to have to carry our dirty linens and wet towels through the entire resort to the reception before departing.

Spacious apartment close to historic center

The apartment we had was very spacious and easily accommodated 4 adults and an 18th month baby with a crib. Lots of parking and nice amenities around the hotel, such as saunas and spas, a playground, a trampoline, and a playroom with ping pong, fusbol, and an Xbox 360 with a nice selection of games. It is only a 10 minute walk to the cathedral in the historic city center.

Should it really be on Hotels.com?

Great other than the fact that bed linnens and towels are not automatically included and there are not really any web pages that we could find detailing the fact that we should bring linens or arrange ahead of time which would be impracticle for a short stay. Much better arrangement for a long stay.

All around good value

It was excellent. The rooms and kitchenette gave an extra value to the stay. Ribe is a delightful town and By Ferie represents it well.

Linens/ towels charged at 20 USD per person!

Be careful: this is not a hotel. It is a "resort" with a series of little houses from the 90s. Beds were horribly uncomfortable and old. Linens and towels are NOT included and must be leased separately at a cost of 20 USD per person! This quickly adds up to the cost of the hotel for two people… and what is more fun that making you own bed in a "hotel" (towels and linens are handed at the reception in a plastic bag upon arrival) and bringing back your dirty linen and wet towels to the reception at the end of your stay?

Great location

I found Ribe Byferie a great place to stay with family. The apartments are great and close to Ribe centre, less than 10 minutes on foot. The children enjoyed the games room, actually we all did, there is something for everybody. The surroundings are great and the fact that you feel independent within the complex makes it a good choice. I would highly recommend it for families with children.

Unwind and spread out

Our city hotels were so cramped that it was a relief to have space! Cook for yourself, spread over multiple rooms, things for younger kids to do, TV with English channel. Great break between more high-action parts of vacation (like Copenhagen). Town of Ribe is charming and right nearby. Hotel is big on rules, so just adjust.

Great location in Ribe, Denmark

Tha apartments were very well appointed and the exterior patio was quite special.Staff were more than kind and helpfull.

Beds a bit creaky but comfortable. Had a ground floor apartment and a family in the one above who thought running about at 6am was th norm. Sound proofing is required. On the plus side th location and surroundings were great.

Beautiful self serviced apartments - Loved it!

Excellent location, beautiful self-serviced apartment, spotless clean, very convenient for a short or long vacation in Ribe for families, couples or friends. We loved this place and highly recommend it.

Perfect for families.

This was my 3rd stay in Ribe Byferie and the high standard remains. Three of us stayed in the smallest type of flat available. We were greeted by friendly reception staff and the flat was clean and tidy. On the table was some tea and coffee to get us started which was very nice. Also tea towel, dishcloth and a couple of dishwashing tablets, so bring your own if you are staying for more than two days. There is soap and shower gel/shampoo in the bathroom. My youngest liked the games room above the reception and the playground. There is a secure locked car park at the far end and Ribe is only a few minutes' walk away. It is a great location for going to Legoland (1 hour) and Germany is only 45 minutes down the road. But most of all, it is a lovely place to stay.

Lovely family self catering apartments

Ribe Byferie is self catering holiday apartments. We rented a two bed apt for two days - the second bedroom is up very steep wooden steps above the main living area and sleeps three children, with a double bedroom on the same floor as the main living/kitchen area. The apartment was lovely - clean scandi design and the children loved their room in the eaves. The local town is pretty with a couple of local attractions, v nice icecream shop and several big supermarkets. The apts had a large games room with games consoles, table football etc. The only drawbacks are having to take your own towels and bed linen but standard practice in Denmark and the steps up to the children's room were v steep but saying that the children managed fine with them. We would def stay there again if visting that area.

Better than a Hotel Room for Business.

Very clean and tidy, my very late arrival was managed very well. A very quiet place at this time of the year and I loved it. I will definitely stay again, far better than a hotel room and for less money. I actually never saw any staff, but then I didn't need to everything was managed and the communication through email superb. Just take whatever food and drink you want with you. Facilities mean you can do what you want.

Great for family.

This is not a luxury hotel - rather a holiday village. The accommodation comprises new holiday units that are self contained. Very clean and good condition. Good facilities for kids too. Very close to Ribe which is worth a few days visit. Also only 1 hour from Legoland. We wanted a 2 night stay in clean self catering for a family of 4. It delivers on that at a budget price. Will stay here again and bring bikes next time.

Best option in Ribe for families with little kids

Nice place. Comfortable rooms. Close to Ribe center & central rail station. Located in tranquil surroundings. Most of the time me and my family stayed outside the resort and came back at night. So, we didn't exploit all the facilities the hotel has. My only criticism refers to hotel web site which is not always clear. If you write that rent payment of towels & sheets is X Euro, for example, you should mark if it's per night/person/room. Nevertheless, I had good feelings of that place.

Ribe Byferie, friendly and comfortable.

I stayed in Ribe Byferie in a flat with my two children for a week. The receptionists were extremely friendly and helpful. The flat was very well laid out with all necessities and a little court yard with garden furniture. We liked the games room on the first floor above the reception area where the children could play. The flats and houses are arranged in streets, so you get the sense of being in a small town. And there is a lovely playground. The centre of Ribe is a 10 minutes' walk away. I highly recommend Ribe Byferie, it is run very efficiently and is very friendly and close to the oldest town in Denmark

Ribe Byferie

I thought the hotel was very cold and impersonal. There were very few people staying there, but they sent us to one of the farthest rooms from the reservation desk. It was near a busy road, so we listened to traffic go by all night. Then in the morning, workers started working right outside our room at 7:00 am!

Et flot hotel med særdeles fine faciliteter og et helt fatastisk service nivau fra personalet. Dejlig morgenmad serveret til os seks venner i loungeområdet.

Vi boede her da vi var til vinfestival i Ribe. Dejlig placering tæt på byen, rolige omgivelser. Pænt og rent, vi tilkøbte morgenmad, det var fint til prisen.

Velindrettede ferielejligheder. God rengøring. Mulighed for at leje linned, herunder også at sengene er opredte ved ankomst. Mulighed for at bestille morgenmad og tapas anretning. Enormt venligt personale. Mulighed for udendørs skak og boule. Virkelig gode grill faciliteter og god legeplads. Kort gåafstand til Tibe Eneste mindre minus er udsigten fra lejligheden. Enten til huset overfor eller ud i den ugenerte flisebelagte solgård med sorte planker.

Jeg benytter altid Byferien når jeg har behov for overnatning i forbindelse med ophold i Ribe. Det ligger centralt og er bekvemt i forhold til at kunne være privat under opholdet.

Familievenligt

Vores lille familie havde 5 overnatninger. Vi kunne sagtens have brugt flere. Der er meget at opleve i og omkring Ribe. Selve stedet er børnevenligt. En dejlig legeplads og ingen trafik i selve området. Lejligheden er fin bortset fra trappen til første sal og for korte enkeltsenge, når man er 2 meter høj.

Hyvä sijainti, riskien hotelli

Olimme resortissa kolme yötä, mutta jos alueella olisi ollut vapaita hotelleja, olisimme lähteneet ekan yön jälkeen. Olimme varanneet majoituksen kolmelle hengelle ja yksi ”makuuhuone” olikin parvi, jonne oli todella jyrkät ja liukkaat portaat, joissa oli vain yksi kaide. Koko huoneisto haisi pahalta kuin siellä olisi kosteutta/hometta eikä huoneistossa ollut kunnollista ilmanvaihtoa. Etenkin parvella oli paljon hienoa pölyä, eikä ikkunaa voinut pitää koko ajan auki, koska parvella oli kylmä. Koska parvelle mentiin oleskelutilojen kautta, sinne kuului kaikki äänet. Tilaa säästääkseen makuuhuoneeseen ja WC:hen oli liukuovet, jotka eivät menneet kunnolla kiinni, eikä minkäänlaista äänieristystä ollut. Tilasimme ensimmäiseksi aamuksi aamiaisen ja kuvittelimme sen olevan kunnon aamiainen, ei kaksi sämpylää ja jogurtti paperipussissa. Kahvit joutui itse keittämään ja tuolla hinnalla olisimme syöneet aamiaisen ravintolassa. Jouduimme lopulta ostamaan kaupasta aamiaisen, koska hotellin aamiainen oli niin huono. Huoneistomme vieressä tehtiin remonttia, jota on selvästi tehty pitkään ja siitä olisi pitänyt mainita varausvaiheessa. Rakennusäänet kuuluivat selvästi huoneistoon. Osa huoneiston pistorasioista oli irti ja ne rätisivät. Kaikki ohjeet oleskeluun olivat QR-koodin takana, saimme paperilla vain alueen kartan. Hotellin vahvuus oli hyvä sijainti, mutta toiminta oli järkyttävää. Tuntui että kaikesta yritettiin rahastaa, vuodevaatteista ja pyyhkeistä lähtien.

Dejlig og hyggelig område lejligheden var godt indrettet, man følte sig godt tilpas, sengen var god.

Rigtig fint sted

Rummelig lejlighed placeret i rolige omgivelser, men alligevel tæt på centrum. Der er privat parkering og velkomstpakke i form af kaffe og te. Man vælger selv om man vil medbringe sengetøj eller ej. Hvis de sørger for det, bliver det ikke bare lagt i lejligheden, så sørger de for at sengene er klar

Super godt men så alligevel ikke

Dejligt sted. Lækkert lejlighed med alt nødvendigt udstyr. Super venligt personale. Stabil wifi forbindelse. Nem parkering og god morgenmad. Men skraldebil lige udenfor lejlighed kl. 4.45 som larmede i 15-18 minutter - så var man ligesom vågen. Og så kom håndværkere kl. 6.30 og larmede med entreprenørmaskiner. Det er ikke i orden. Har været der tidligere hvor der også var larm. Prøver 1 gang mere og håber larmen ikke er der. Ellers må man finde noget andet

Super dejligt sted. Skøn bolig og fantastisk service. Ligger rigtigt godt i Ribe med gåafstand til Ribes mange seværdigheder og byliv. Lejligheden, som var stueetagen i et rækkehus med lejlighed ovenpå, havde alt man havde brug for. Eneste lille minus ved opholdet var, at til trods for mange ledige lejligheden, var der booket nogle ind i lejligheden ovenpå og der er meget lydt. De 4 ældre personer som boede ovenpå larmede ekstremt meget og tog ikke hensyn - heller ikke ved kontakt (det kan man jo ikke klandre opholdsstedet for). Der burde have været fordelt anderledes.

Hat uns sehr gefallen. Service war sehr nett.

Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Seht gute Lage um die Stadt Ribe zu erkunden. Zu bemängeln ist einzig, dass durch die Organisation des Frühstücks- Tüte zum Abholen an der Rezeption - sehr viel Müll anfällt, da alles einzeln verpackt ist. Sehr umweltunfreundlich. Früstücksangebot selbst ist ordentlich.

Et besøg værd

Ribe Byferie fungerer bare godt - tredje gang vi besøger stedet. El ladere til biler fra Norlys var ikke tilgængelige selvom de burde være det.

Appartement très propre avec cuisine complète, terrasse extérieure, grand apartement, stationnement sécuritaire, à moins de 2 minutes à pied du centre-ville, à 5 minutes en auto des épiceries.

Super flot ferieområde i gåafstand til centrum. Ren og pæn lejlighed med fin terrasse. Legeplads og trampoliner til børnene. Idyllisk med små “kanaler” lige udenfor vinduet. Husk eget sengetøj og håndklæder, hvis man ikke ønsker at leje. Lille startpakke ved ankomst med kaffe, te og to opvasketabs. Aflåst parkeringsplads.

Die Unterkunft war sehr gut ausgestattet in einer schönen Umgebung. Dank des Wasser gab es viele Mücken, die mich aber nicht stechen wollten. In der Woche war es schön ruhig. Am Wochenende wurde es mit mehr Nachbarn umso lauter.

God weekend i Ribe

Fin lejlighed i gåafstand til bymidten. Alt virkede fint, inkl. morgenmadsafhentning i receptionen. Og Ribe er een hyggelug by.

Familievenligt og god beliggenhed

Rigtig fint lejlighedshotel med god central beliggenhed og godt udstyret. Rejste med min familie, og det fungerede super godt med en lejlighed, hvor der var plads til alle 7 og mulighed for selv at lave mad

Vi har haft en super god oplevelse med Ribe Byferie Resort. Ind - og udtjekning gik hurtigt, sikker parkering (som aflåses efter kl. 19, man kan selv låse op med lejlighedsnøglen. Lejligheden super ren og komfortabel. Godt sofaarrangement, spiseafdeling ved køkken. Alle de køkkenfaciliteter vi skulle bruge, var i køkkenet. Soveværelse var også godt, god seng. God og rummelig entre, med plads til sko, overtøj tasker osv. Badeværelse godt og rummeligt. Fin balkon med spiseplads. Vi brugte ikke fælles faciliteter. Gå afstand til byen. Vil gerne tilbage.

Vi havde et dejligt ophold Ribe. Pænt rent og dejlig rummelig lejlighed. Lidt støj fra trafik tidlig morgen. Ville ha været dejligt hvis man kunne vente med at tjekke ud til kl 11.

Kan varmt anbefales

Tæt på Ribe centrum i utroligt stille omgivelser. Dejligt med aflåst parkering = ingen trafik ved boligerne. Meget rummelig lejlighed. Sød og imødekommende betjening i receptionen.
