Lovely stay! Wished it was closer to a train station. Staff was very accommodating and helpful.
Around French Concession, within private beautiful garden, I will definitely stay here again. Very nice staffs and service with clean and comfy facilities and amenities like Dyson hairdryer and auto bidet toilets.
The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The rooms were clean and well maintained.
Very happy with my stay here. Fabulous room
This is a very nice hotel with excellent standard of rooms and helpful staff
Beautiful views from our room. Close to a park too.
Solid 5 star hotel, wonderful service. I have to give credit to all the staff, especially LiuQin, I am really impressed for the service. I will recommend XinGuo to my family and friends for sure.
Great food in the restaurant with lots of variety for buffet breakfast and dinner. Staff all very helpful.
Fantastic stay
Loved the modern bathroom. Press buttons instead of push pull taps. Heated toilet seats. Nice bronze copper colour design in room and accessories.
As always it’s been good!
Great business hotel
Great location for my business trip.
Very modern hospital in a large area spread.
Staying in the French Concessions is a pleasure. Walking distance to many restaurants.
Little pricey but very comfortable upmarket hotel
Great hotel, beautiful gardens
.little English spoken. staff fairly rigid. room window so dirty we couldn't see out
Beautiful Spot
The hotel is in such a beautiful location, surrounded by trees and gardens. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Great breakfast selection. Some of the rooms and the lobby could use updating, but it is jut a lovely place.
Beautiful Grounds. However pretty old hotel and needs a renovation (for the money). Good location in the French Concession.
Excellent.
Great value for money
Great location, vey comfortable beds and friendly staff
Best value for high quality accomodation
One of the best stays in Shanghai I ever had, Great attentive staff, Great amenities (Gym, Pool, Restaurants and Bars). Overall a high quality stay
it is very nice place, and good service.
Good location.
Good hotel, fair price. Wifi was not working properly in my room, which is pretty much unacceptable. And the maid ringing at 10:30 pushing for checkout was not that good either. But all in all a good hotel and I would come back in the future. It has a very good location.
Pleasant and peaceful stay!
I only stayed for one night but already know that I am coming back especially if I am spending the weekend. The location is inside a parklike setting and so peaceful. I was not able to check out the hotel facilities because of my brief stay but will surely do so when I return. Thank you.
Radisson Blu Xing Guo, Shanghai
We stayed there two weeks. Great Buffet breakfast with both western and asian fare. Didn't have dinner there. Bar had a small non somking area. Hotel staff spoke English and Concierge was adept at arranging cabs and giving the driver directions. Stay was in March 2016 so no A/C needed. TV had CNN, BBC, and HBO in English, all else was in Chinese. Hotel WiFi was available but VERY slow; good only for email. The hotel is not in the immediate neighborhood of restaurants or shopping, however a short walk down the street will take you to these places. Area is quite safe at night so a night stroll back from restaurants is safe. Be aware that in China smoking is allowed and higher end hotels try to accommodate non smokers. Our room was a non smoking room and we found no hint of smoking in our room or the hall ourside. Also Google and Gmail do not work in China; they are blocked by the government. A work around is to use a VPN. As this hotel is quite close to whom we were visiting and it was a quite nice property, we would stay there again.
Just a short overnight business stay but Hotel was in a great location, quiet in it's own compound. Well appointed rooms and friendly staff. Only 2 things not perfect. The carpet in my room was badly fitted and a ridge had formed in the middle of the room which was easy to trip on. second thing is the Breakfast would be improved. Overall a very pleasant stay for the price.
An quiet oasis in an amazing city.
This was a stop over on an extended business trip. I love this neighborhood in Shanghai. A quiet area but walking distance to a number of parks, shopping food etc. Easy access to head to the other tourist and business areas. An oasis.
Moldy, but okay.
I was just there for a quick sleep while my apartment was getting remodeled, and I'm glad of it. My room had quite a few spots of mold on the ceiling and was really dark. Luckily, the shower was nice and the sheets smelled clean. For that, I am grateful.
Front desk service needs to improve
I'm a frequent traveler to Shanghai and have stayed in this hotel a few times. My most recent stay in this hotel was unpleasant and I was very frustrated with the front desk over a booking issue. They are unfriendly and very passive in reaction to you when there is a problem. The breakfast is also way too expensive given its limited variety. Good thing about this hotel is it is in a nice and quiet area although it doesn't have easy access to the metro.
Upon booking online for a family of 4, including 2 kids age 3 and 5, information online stated that the room we booked was good for 4. However, we were offered a tiny room with 1 queen size bed and additional two cods for the kids. Upon complaining and pushing repeatedly we were offered a business suite but had to pay 50 pct extra + tax which I think was unreasonable, also as the receptionist agreed that their rooms are not adequate for 4. Also, They insisted the bed in the business suite was king size, but I have seen queen beds larger... Great location but with no easy access to the metro.
Very nice hotel, great neighborhood
Great hotel for family but far from the centre, or heart of the city, we struggle finding taxis that wanted to take us back from the Pound and areas alike, but great place to stay
Hotel
The hotel was god. People were nice and room was clean. Only thing dirty in hotels was the hallway carpets. The reason I would not recommend this hotel is because the food waaaaay overpriced. It makes us mad to pay ridiculous prices for food so we just stay somwhere else next time because we like to eat where we stay.would not stay there again because of food prices.
Good for business trip
The hotel is clean and good for a business trip but it isn't very convenient to take public transport. Probably will have to cab most of the time. Cabbing from there to other places weren't very far or expensive though so it was OK for me.
A really different, great hotel!
My favorite hotel in Shanghai, and I have stayed alot of places.
Enjoyable stay at this hotel
Very impressesive with the friendly and helpful staffs in the hotel. The hotel is not new but very well maintained. It is our preferred hotel to stay in Shanghai.
Fantasic stay - Modern + Classic Hotel
Great place with a big garden outside the hotel; room is clean & tidy; i can say this is a combination of modern + classic hotel; Tremendous & fantasic for my 2 nights staying;
Amazing
For those who are newto shanghai, xinggo hotel park is one of the most well preserved prestigeous exclusive parks in shanghai. The fact that we got suc a nice room within xinggo hotel park for such a priceis just an amazing experience.
Excellent condition and great service
Fantastic hotel in the French Concession
Brilliant hotel in the grounds of an old Villa (Xing Guo) - an oasis of green amidst the urban jungle of Shanghai. Great restaurants around in the French concession (we tried Lost Heaven and it was excellent, and walking distance (5 mins) from the hotel.) The only negative is that the closest metro is about a 10-15 min walk away - however, if you're taking taxis then that is not an issue
Great hotel!
This hotel is located in a little gated neighbourhood. Very quiet for busy china . We'll located and great breakfast and amenities.
Good place, although a bit worn down. Amazing service. Very good value for money in Shanghai.
Great Hotel in Shanghai
Hotel is surrounded by nice gardens and villas. Personnel speak fluid english and very helpfull. We upgraded to a suite (Standard room too small) for a very low Price and included a free breakfast buffet and use of the business center among with happy hours (Free drinks) the location is convenient, its about 6 blocks from the subway station and 12 blocks from the malls.
Concierge was the best
The concierge service was outstanding we had many questions and got many answers and had an amazing time because of their service
Great Location
Very nice, clean and friendly staff to help with anything you asked about.
very nice hotel with nice hotel staff
very nice hotel with nice hotel staff with great location
Gorgeous garden with great services
Had a great stay here, good location very convenient to everywhere of the city. The garden in the hotel is gorgeous and the view also nice. Great services.
Greenaway and quiet
Wonderful environment for those who is looking for a quiet hotel yet in the city centre.
Nice cozy hotel
Pleasant neat and quiet. Will not recommend it to family with children.
Excellent service and great location
The staff were very friendly and most of them could understand some of English. We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings, but also the walking distance to great shopping centres. Hopefully we will return to this hotel in Shanghai.
A green oasis in Shanghai
Loved it. We were there for eleven days and thoroughly enjoyed both Shanghai and the hotel. The expansive green grounds were not something I expected in a large Chinese city - brilliant.
Quick business Trip
Great spot in a quiet neighborhood. On a quick business trip and this place was perfectly located and I want to come and stay here again. Enjoyed the fact that the gym/pool were open until 11pm so I could wind down a bit before calling it a night. Great breakfast buffet. Helpful and friendly staff.
Beautiful Hotel
This hotel is a beautiful property in the middle of the city. The grounds are beautiful and the history of the villas on the property is very interesting. Service was wonderful as were the amenities. The fitness facilities are outstanding.
Hotel reasonably secluded close to downtown
Stayed three days over a weekend. Room comfortable and clean with King sized bed. Breakfast had a large choice for both western and asian tastes and was very enjoyable.
beautiful surrondings
The grounds are beautiful, hotel's staff are pleasant. The room was nice and comfortable. The only thing it doesn't have and I wish it had is a separate shower.
5 star hotel!!
Excellent hotel, room very clean and comfortable. There are not a lot nearby restaurants but the buffete at the hotel is very good and has lot of variety. The staff is very professional, polite and good fluent English. The location is on a residential area and not close to tourist attractions but the concierge can call a taxi for you, taxis are very cheap in Shanghai about $5-$10 dollars. Definitely a great place to stay.
Bliss
This is truly a five star hotel. Every aspect of it. I checked in here for a few days after two weeks business out in China, and was healed an rested within the first 24hrs. Staff is 100% customer centric. The health club is complimentary and fully updated. The in room dining is available 24 hours, and the food is like it is being prepared by a top chef in New York, using only the choicest ingredients. The room service is reasonably priced. About 15 minute walk to subway. But the staff will see you walking through the lobby and have a taxi cab offered for you in just a few minutes or less. Facility is rock solid in the area of security. Treat yourself. Stay here.
ok
good
As expected for this hotel
Brief but have been there MANY times. Small changes but parking always an issue. Food and staff are better than average but still could perform better.
It's an excellent hotel with beautiful n quiet surroundings. The hotel breakfast spread was good n service was great.
Nice relaxation
Very quite and wonderful breakfast!
Great hotel!
Very nice and classy place. The grounds around the hotel are beautiful and it feels like you are in an island of trees among the hustle and bustle of Shanghai.
Very satisfied
Everything was great, The only thing that we did not like was that the bed was not comfortable.
Wonderful
I had a marvelous stay here. Breakfast was delicious, service was wonderful, I will definitely be back.
Great property
The property is great but the entrance and exits are horrible! Please think about opening a more convenient entrance for your patrons.
great location, super clean
Stay at the Radisson Blu when they have deals. It can't be beat!
Fantastic
Awesome could not have been more perfect. Thank you to all. PS Taxi driver from hotel was misinformed as he drove us straight to the airport.
Like the new breakfast / dining area
We have stayed a this hotel several times and its quality, gardens and staff are always great.
Good overall hotel
Very pleasent stay . Good Restaurant. Clean and nice rooms with Wi Fi ,Good fitness room. Walking distance to subway line 2 ( 15 minutos).
Great service
service is great, and loaction is good
Excellent value in a charming location.
I got it for a very good deal and would go again and again at those rates. Top breakfast, comfortable rooms, good facilities, staff are helpful, but not in your face, good English is spoken, and the French Concession area is peaceful and lovely to walk around. The gym is good, too. They will get taxis, or there are Metro stations within a 15 walk.
This is THE place to stay for Americans
This was a fabulous hotel. The water quality was the best in any Shanghai hotel and I have stayed in all different hotels for the last 10 years. I will be staying here on all future trips. The workout room was amazing, the showers were double heads, adjustable and amazing! Great sheets! Extremely clean rooms, quiet with a great neighborhood surrounding it!
Meticulous attention to details
It was great experience. Although I had been tempted to try staying here because there was a special promotion, I shall have no hesitation in doing the same in future even when there is no discount. The breakfast was superb. I would have opted for this hotel merely on account of that.
convenient place
excellent experience
Excellent hotel with quiet gardens
We were very impressed with the hotel's luxurious lobby and rooms that were comfortable, clean and nicely furnished. The staff was very efficient and went out of their way to assist us whenever we needed anything. The front desk and concierge always had someone who spoke English so there wasn't a language barrier and they were extremely helpful. Besides tourist destinations, we had to take taxis to different areas of Shanghai and the concierge always looked up the exact address and wrote it in Chinese and the bellman told the taxi driver where to take us. The grounds are spacious and quiet and there are pathways, a gazebo and waterfalls to enjoy. Breakfast was included and we were expecting a simple continental breakfast but instead there was a full buffet breakfast every morning.
Extraordinary Hotel and Setting
If you enjoy history (and comfort) you will LOVE this hotel. The setting is the French Concession. The property was built by Swire Jr of British 19th Century trading firm (think Opium War). Mao stayed here. The rooms are great (although I did get upgraded to the "President's floor". The Mayor of Taipei had been there the week before. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Rooms not really large but nice. Service excellent.
Cool Hotel
Hotel was situated in a gated estate that was incredible, a really cool entrance. Hotel is new and clean, which is always good. Beds are the harder style but otherwise was impressed and the pricing was great. Found out after leaving the hotel that is situated in one of the best bar areas in Shanghai.
good experience
Over all happy with my stay. Rooms are good and so is the service.
Highly recommended
A little hard to find taxi at times. otherwise, everything is good. Lack of other F & B outlets in immediate surrounding areas. People who cannot walk far may be stuck with its high cost to eat in hotel. breakfast is close to New York priced.
nice hotel
nice, quite location, friendly staff. beatiful garden. my first choice in Shanghai.
Cafe Living in the French Concession
great hotel. fantastic friendly service. great location. comfortable. would def stay there again. i'm recommending it to friends
This is my favorite pl;ace to stay in Shanghai
I have stayed here many times, and have used it as my base hotel in China. My trips have been long in China, usually a minimum of 21 days and this is a wonderful place to stay. There are many places to walk to from here and it is a very safe place to walk around. Also a park just about three minute walk from the hotel. I have always had a great experience here, and again, you will not be disappointed, and believe me, in China (which i love) there are many places (hotels) that will surprise you, but never this one. Can also use the ATM there to take out RMB, or they will exchange currency at the counter
This was once a great hotel
I stayed in this hotel 6 years ago and was impressed with the comfort and quality of that stay. Coming back was a disappointment. Although I think an effort was made to keep the condition of the hotel up, it still felt a little runned down. I think in the subsequent years, more and more Mainlanders could affort to stay at places like the Radisson, which means places like this get runned down faster. For this last stay, I asked for a non-smoking room, but there was still a hint of cigarette smell. Sad to know, even in a really nice hotel, true non-smoking rooms really don't exist in China anymore (the Chinese love their cigs!). Also, for a 4.5 star hotel, the Radisson had a terrible concierge service. The staff that manned this desk generally knew very little. Such as, it woulda been nice if they told me you needed a passport to book train tickets. And, when I asked them to write out instructions in Chinese, they did not bother to translate everything I asked them too, which led to some very difficult situations with taxi drivers and ticket sellers. There was also a very hard sell to get you to book tours and trips thru them at inflated prices. What really made me mad was that they gave the taxi driver instructions to take me to the wrong terminal for my flight out. And, I nearly missed that flight! At the very least, didn't need that kind of stress. And lastly, for a 4.5 star hotel, they sure seem to want to nickel/dime for everything, like making a simple local phone call.
Beautiful hotel in quiet neighborhood
We were so very impressed with our stay, and it was also the cheapest rate in Shanghai for a 5-star hotel. It was in a tree-lined neighborhood away from the crowds and was in a beautiful, gated, park-like setting. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We couldn't have been happier!
Xing Guo Hotel
Excellent location. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We have used this hotel a few times in the past and have always been very satisfied with it.
nice hotel
room was clean, cold and had a soft bed. location was very convienent as well.
Very nice hotel, especially for the price
Hotel was very new and clean. Staff was very helpful and wrote down translations for us before we left the hotel so we could get the things/food we needed. We booked the hotel on Expedia and paid $90/night and extra to get a 3rd person. The room really does only accomodate 2 people (twin size beds) unless you pay extra to get a rollaway for the 3rd person. This was in a nice area with several eating options 10-15 min walk away, but not in a busy tourist area really. Cab rides were cheap though and you can get almost anywhere from here for ~18-25 RMB ($3-4). This is what we did and had no problems getting where we needed to be. There is no hot tub, which would have been nice. Pool and steam room are pretty small but the gym is large and very nice.
Radisson hotel in Shanghai
The hotel is located in a beautiful location, in the middle of well kept gardens. However, it's a bit far from main attractions in Shanghai. I would recommend it to visitors already familiar with Shanghai and that have no touristic ambitions.
Nice facility if you need Western-style comfort
I am from the U.S. and maybe a bit picky about accomodations, but I really enjoyed this hotel. The park-like setting is nice and rare for Shanghai. The beds are BLISSFULLY SOFT with quality bedding and good lighting. I was there for six nights, and had to change rooms at one point. I stayed in both street-view and garden-view rooms... in my opinion garden view isn't worth the extra price. View is nice but unless it's my imagination, smaller than street-view. Internet worked flawlessly once the IT Butler came and got me going :) They have a wonderful buffet on Sundays, with everything from crab legs to sushi to Peking duck. Bellmen, room service and housekeeping are very attentive and efficient. My only disappointment was the advertised hot tub which turns out is only in the men's locker room. (The steam room is only in the women's). Overall, it's a great value and up to Western standards.
Great Stay
This was a great hotel in the French Concession in Shanghai. Our rooms were very nice with a spacious bathroom. The view overlooked the tree-lined streets of the French Concession and the skyscapers of Pudong in the distance. The concierge was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and directions.
素敵なホテル
自然豊かで、素敵なホテル しかし、日本語対応は、望まないけど、簡単な英語ぐらいは、理解してほしいな、問題が解決するのに、時間を要する。
Confortable hotel
Very confortable hotel.
French Concession hotel
Rommet jeg fikk var meget bra, eneste litt negative var for mye lyd fra aircondition om natten, men det er jo bare å skru den av.
very classic hotel located at the heart of old Sha
big garden, nice staff. room have some strange smell, guess just decorated.
Geschäftsreise
Habe ein Upgrade bekommen da mein Zimmer doppelt vergeben wurde und keines in meiner Kategorie verfügbar war.
It's okay
You get what you paid
11階から14階で、改装工事が入っており、騒音がひどかった。 事前情報がないので、しかたなく宿泊した。
Perfectly located in the quiet end of French Concession but still within walking distance of bars and restaurants. Hotel is like expected for this category but the location in a park makes it special.
Great hotel except bedding.
Located in residence area so very quite. I asked for a non smoking room but no non smoking room left, they upgraded to suite room. And everything was great. The food, amenities, and crew were so nice. Except, cigarette smell on the bed... The sheets were clean but the smell was deeply saturated into the matress, I could not hardly sleep. I hope the hotel pay more attention to it.

Lovely hotel
