We liked everything about our stay with Radisson. We stay at Radissons offten and have never been disappointed.

Excellent property, top location, friendly staff, great food, my room was over the top - the pool was a little small, but I had it for myself when making a reservation - I enjoyed my stay, except of the weather.

The hotel was amazing, the room was spacious and very comfortable. We ate at the Basque restaurant in the hotel and the food was incredible. I would definitely stay here in the future.

The property is well located however parking is difficult. The staff in the morning was much friendlier than the staff in the evening. Unfortunately, we received neither a room upgrade nor complementary drinks. The room itself was well designed, but somewhat impractical.

We enjoyed our stay here. Location is very convenient. We walked everywhere. Great dining options nearby, including Michelin star restaurant on the roof top. You must make reservation in advance.! We had a room update into a junior suite. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Highly recommended.

Worst hotel stay ever. The rooms (had to change rooms for bathroom fixture and noise problems) were dirty and not maintained well.. We tried to make do during a labor strike by hotel employees. After three days without cleaning services, towel change, etc., we got our own cleaning supplies and basically policed up dirt and grime, months' worth. Some guests were transferred to other hotels. We we're not made aware of this possibility. Talking to strikers it came out that they we're not given adequate time to clean rooms and were under intense pressure to meet the "quota". Voila the room cleanliness issue...corporate budget concerns over quality? Breakfast room was closed for three days. To be fair, the one breakfast we had was very good. Upon departure we were told that our stay would be fully reimbursed...2000 plus euros for this Five Star hotel stay... but as we paid through EXPEDIA this would take time. Almost three months later, nothing. After 5 emails to the hotel not one answer. After three phone calls, after being told once that it was being worked, continued silence. On the last call I was not allowed to speak with the manager "company policy." Are you kidding me? Too bad. Bilbao is exceptional, hotel location excellent. Management and upkeep are a very real problems. Stay here at your own risk.

The hotel has a brilliant location - just a short walk to most sites including the old town. Excellent facilities. The staff were very polite and went out of their way to be helpful.

The hotel is in a central location but the restaurant options were limited and the service was poor as they did not have enough staff. On one of our nights there was a private function which was not mentioned at check in and the restaurant and terrace were closed to guests, if we had been made aware of this prior to our stay we would have reduced the number of nights as we could still hear the noise of the function until after midnight. Do bear in mind that if you want to use the leisure facilities you need to book in advance and pay an additional fee. Overall, it is a lovely hotel but with room for many improvements.

We liked our short (family-)stay very much. Very nice designed and well maintained/finished rooms/hotel. Points of improvement: - no English-speaking staff at the breakfast (unfortunately I don’t speak Spanish (yet)) - not enough staff for the breakfast service Other than that a very nice hotel in the heart of Bilbao.

Room was spacious and beds very comfortable. However, we were not aware that the august festival in 2nd half of August , would involve us being kept awake until1.30am the first night and 3am the second night when the music ended. Hotel is very central- roads closed for festival- but a stage ( 1 of several in the city) had been erected beneath our bedroom window- it was literally like being in the middle of a rock concert!! Pretty horrendous! Noise level unlike anything ever experienced. We demanded a discount but it had really affected our stay which was upsetting and hotel as an anniversary treat - definitely not cheap to start with! Ignoring that, sleepy eyed we enjoyed breakfast /bar on the roof terrace - good and fresh selection for breakfast and hot dishes cooked on request.

This place has clean, sophisticated rooms. Excellent breakfast selection. Small downside that parking offsite at a 3rd party parking lot.

Great location and staff

Worth a stay.

The elevators need to be reconfigured so that it asks how many people are riding on it when swiping the room key. It would assign 1-20 people and the max per elevator realistically is 6-8. Breakfast was also cold, but staff were pleasant.

Outstanding property, 5 star for sure!

We enjoyed our room and Jon was gracious and efficient at check in. He explained that our room would be delayed in check in due several employees being out but assured us that everything would be good in an hour. We took the opportunity to get to know the property with there beautiful gym, roof top restaurant bar, massages, pool. Just a great property and location. Jon did a great job!

The staff went on strike the day we got there. The AC broke and there was no one to help fix. The staff was protesting out front of the hotel the entire time. I’ve requested a full refund.

The service at the rooftop bar and for the breakfast was terrible. Too forever to get a drink, never check if we wanted another, tables around us were all dirty and attitude behind the bar was nasty. For the breakfast only one server taking orders and nothing was smooth, never seeing this in a five stars hotel.

Perfect hotel in city centre.

This hotel was perfect. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and elegant. The management is very helpful with any inquiries.

Good location for walking and transport. Not really 5 star facilities. Housekeeping was extremely poor ,missing towels several days, room never hoovered in a week stay. Roof terrace bar very shabby, dirty, worn furniture. Wanted €20 to use the pool. No apologies when complained about housekeeping. Could not even be bothered to ask if we had a good stay on checkout.

Well located, quiet and friendly staff

We loved the location and the room was nice. To access the pool and sauna there is an extra charge, which wasn't clear during booking. The staff are very nice and helpful.

A few nights in Bilbao.

The hotel is located right in the heart of Bilbao on a large crossroads, making easy access to attractions and the Guggenheim museum. We were lucky enough to be upgraded, the room was spacious, nice sized bathroom and sat over the entrance. This made it a little noisy at night with passer by shouting but only disturbed our sleep a little. The staff were super helpful and friendly. The museum is the main attraction in the city, we also took a boat ride and travelled on the Funicular for fantastic views over Bilbao.

Superb hotel right in the center of the city. Everything is 5 Stars, the room, comfortable bed, helpful reception staff and good bar on the top floor.

The room was amazing, the view was beautiful, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the location was perfect. In summary the best hotel in town don’t look anywhere else.

We were given an opportunity to upgrade to a junior suite for 5 euro per night before our arrival which was a great deal. Imagine our surprise when we arrived to find out we had been upgraded to a suite!! From the photos it looks like all the rooms share the same standard of decor and fittings which are stylish and contemporary. Check in, spa and breakfast service staff were all fantastic. Pool and sauna area are nice and relaxing after a long day walking. The hotel is a good all-rounder and any not so great reviews don’t seem justified. Any initial opening teething issues seem to have been long resolved. I don’t mind paying a little extra for the spa as I’m assuming it helps to keep the room costs down for those who don’t want to use it. You will or almost have the place to yourself so it’s worth paying. Breakfast options are good and thankfully the coffee was not a nespresso machine like other seemingly 5star places I’ve stayed. We had to get pillows and duvet changed from feather to hypoallergenic as I forgot to ask at initial reservation. This was done swiftly and without being made to feel like it was a hassle. I’m not a morning person at all so I must say a big thank you to breakfast service team for making me feel chilled and relaxed and having genuine kind smiles on their faces when I was trying to wake up. My partner works in hospitality so I appreciate how hard the people are working to provide the level of service we received. Thanks for a wonderful stay

A lovely option for Bilbao

Great location in Bilbao. Room is well-appointed, especially the bathroom. It's always nice to have two sinks when traveling with a partner. Being able to screencast to the tv was nice. The rooftop bar is lovely, it was a little chilly at night, so we couldn't stay as long as we would have liked. Staff were extremely friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs.

Pleasant but nothing great

The final stop on our 3 month trip around Europe, and slightly disappointing for a ‘5*’ Nothing bad, not nothing great. As a gold member I was given a voucher to enjoy a roof top drink, but was only allowed a very limited selection of drinks, not even a cheap cava included. Not the service you’d expect from a 5* but the staff were limited by hotel rules.

Loved my stay at the Raddison Collection Bilbao. Excellent location and super friendly staff. Restaurant, gym, room were all excellent. Dining at the onsite ENEKO restaurant was superb! Thank you.

Rooftop breakfast area very peaceful and staff very friendly

Accommodations are nice and location is good. Staff are somewhat less than friendly/helpful and housekeeping is problematic. We had two very dirty teapots, didn’t get basics like washlclothes or glasses replenished and had to call and ask for them every day. They also take control of the AC at night and the rooms get very hot. I wouldn’t stay there again despite the nice rooms and rooftop bar due to staff and housekeeping issues. We had to call or stop at the desk multiple times per day to get basics that were supposed to be supplied to us. One call we had to request 5 things…just became the daily ritual.

The staff were great and the location was great. The only issue I had was that it was a weekend and there was a fair amount of street noise.

Jon was so gracious and accommodating! He took great care of us when our shower wasn’t working properly. We felt very pampered at this lovely hotel.

Nice but not great

We reserved a Jr. Suite and upon checking in asked for a quiet room. We were goven a room on the 1st floor. While it was not on the main street side, it bordered a pedestrian street which became obnoxiously loud due to the many bars. The room itself was a nice size but very poorly lit. The bathroom had a nightlight which was good to burn overnight. A tub was also available. We opted for the onsite breakfast and there was a very nice assortment of cereal, bread, fruit, sliced jamon and turkey, cheese, yogurt and a menu containing omelets and weekly Basque specialty items. One automatic coffee maker for everything from espresso to cafe Americano. The rooftop bar didn’t get much use by us due to poor weather: there is almost no seating with protection from rain.

Y cuenta tres habitaciones reservadas en las mismas condiciones . Un 10 al staff del front desk super amables . Si no hubiera sido por eso hubiera pasado mejor .

Was great as expected.

Lovely accommodations in our suite. Very clean. Odd shower situation in the middle of the room made for a huge slip hazard. The hotel is located on a busy corner by a roundabout. The shopping place and train station across the street draws a lot of people loitering, street salespeople, and some seediness that made us wary at night.

Our first room had a foul smell. Safe kindly chamged it for us.

This is an ideal location. We arrived by train and the hotel is right around the corner — and close to everything! The staff was outstanding and very helpful. Try the breakfast buffet; it’s a great value for good food and convenience.

Very nice contemporary hotel

A very smart modern hotel in a downtown part of Bilbao. Lively part of town. Very nice room and comfortable. Would have rated 5* had I not just stayed in a different 5* somewhere else that went the extra mile!

Amazing location, friendly and helpful staff. The pool experience wasn’t the best and I’m surprised that we had to pay for it. Aside from that, a wonderful stay.

No parking. Difficult access

Great location, lots of shops and restaurants nearby and easy walk to the old town and Guggenheim. We were impressed by one member of staff who went above and beyond to explain how the buses and metro work so we could explore further. However other members of staff were not as helpful, we had problems with our rooms (including trying to get fresh towels) and they seemed reluctant to help. Also the breakfast is overpriced and poor - the porridge was inedible. We had to use the hotel for breakfast for one morning because of the time we had to leave, but I definitely recommend not booking the hotel breakfast and go to one of the many cafes nearby.

I recently stayed at the Radisson in Bilbao and had an absolutely wonderful experience. I arrived early and was able to check in without any problems. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, both the reception and bar staff were great. The food at the hotel restaurant was top quality, and the rooms were clean and modern. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

Very disappointed at this hotel. My luggage was stuck at airport without toothbrush, and hotel ran out of toothbrush and unable to provide basic stuff, very surprise this is a 5 star hotel.

Excellent property very near from all the attractions in Bilbao. If you plan to rent a car be mindful that the property does not have a parking lot. Even though they have a partnership with a near (4 blocks away) public parking lot, if it gets full you will need to look for an alternative.

Great location and great staff

The breakfast was excellent and the staff really good. The lack of a lounge with a cafe was a shame - the rooftop cafe was restricted in time of day it was open and often full . The service there was very slow. The restaurant food was excellent but so specific that eating there once was sufficient and a wider choice of cuisine would have been good.

Bilbao Radisson has it going on!

We have been in Spain for almost two weeks and this was a welcome respite from the moment of our arrival. Very welcoming staff, beautiful, and spacious accommodations. The spa area is very tranquil. The rooftop bar was quite the happening place. All in all a great place to stay and a great value.

Reception crew was wonderful and very helpful with directions for dinning and museums. Hotel in excellent location and walk everywhere. Roof top bar was fun and bartender was the best!

We celebrated our first night of our honeymoon here. We LOVED it. Amazing staff, with Jordi at reception who was amazingly helpful, kind, and went above and beyond getting us checked in early after a long train journey from Madrid. Pablo who knows the ins and outs of the city and was amazingly helpful making us dinner reservations.They made an incredible team and should be awarded for their incredible service. The room was clean comfortable and the location is perfect. Lastly, the rooftop breakfast should not be missed. Great quality, service, and food. We can't recommend higher.

Had a wonderful two nights stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was great, very modern in a very central location. The room was very quiet. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Pros… Great location to visit Bilbao. Friendly staff. Clean modern building. Cons… AC system was abysmal. Design flaw in the gorgeous bathroom causes the shower to flood the bathroom floor. “King Bed” is actually 2 twin beds pushed together. They roll apart with a slight movement by either adult leaving a chasm in the middle.
