The location was great close to water front and main shopping area
Had problem with entry as their instructions for entry were not obvious
Great location for ferry and funicular railway.
Two single beds and a double. Large lounge with two sofas, kitchen area with all kitchen appliances. Parking available 50 MTRS away costing 40 NZ dollars/night
This is perfect accommodation. Only draw back was lack of air con, portable fan was required all night. Great location. Helpful staff. Well equipped.
easy to check in central and worked for me
Lovely place to stay!
We had a brilliant few days staying in an apartment here. The room had everything we needed and was very comfy :) Only slight criticism is that the gym was quite small and would be better with a simple bench and some dumbbells, but overall the hotel was great!
Modern and convenient apartment to see Wellington
I book for my husband and he was extremely happy with all the things
Check in was easy and staff were very friendly. We booked this property to do laundry before crossing over to the south island. Laundry machine was a 2in1 and small unit so we could only do a partial load and it had trouble drying so we ended up hanging and laying everything out overnight. Room was noisy and our window was broken which was letting more noise in. I believe there was a concert the night we stayed - luckily we were so tired that day that we were able to fall asleep despite the show. Bathroom was very small and there were stains on the carpet probably from previous guests cooking as there was a bit of a cooking smell coming from the hall. Had to park on the street but it was free for the time we were there so we just made sure to bring everything in with us for security. Overall it was fine for a quick stop.
Clean, cool, and convenient.
Very central to everything in wellington. Everything you need is right on the doorstep
Location is great. Has kitchen with utensils. Safe. Friendly person at checkin.
Satisfactory
this property is more like a college dorm/apartment than a hotel and i have rated it accordingly. to be a standard hotel the carpet and furnishings need a substancial upgrade. that being said the location is great. less than 5 mins walk to the harbour, and right in the middle of restaurants and shopping. even with the worn appearance it was clean and the staff was friendly. recommend it as a reasonable option if you are ok with the modest vibe.
Noisy due to builders using powertools in the early hours of the morning
Great place to stay
It was a disappointing room, very dark and cold - unfortunately just quite small and dingy. I have stayed in this property before and had a great experience - but wondered if I got a lesser room because I booked through Wotif. Having said that, the team themselves were excellent, super friendly, helpful and attentive.
convient location - rubbish bag on the street outside and noone shifted it - not a good look
Enjoyed our overnight stay. Very central and close to public transport, as well as a short walk to the harbour, cafes, and museums.
Well equiped apartment with everything one needs
Our room was very nice, Lots of amenities. Bathroom was quite small and shower was tiny—when I bent over to pick up my comb my bum and head hit the walls! I was all excited to be able to do laundry, however my excitement was squashed when the machine didn’t work. Also, the hotel description says there is limited hotel parking, however you need to book it ahead of time. We luckily found street parking which worked well for me.
Booked late and needed early check-in and was provided with early check-in amazing friendly and just easy thank you to the team 😊
The staff were friendly and responsive. The property centrally located and convenient
Generally a good stay. Nice clean tidy facilities. Just the temperature in the rooms was a bit hot and no cooling other than opening windows or a desk fan so overheated a little.
Location excellent, the experience a bit meh
This was a one night booking to bring two teenagers down to WOW. Location was ideal, right in the heart of central Wellington, just 6 minutes walk to TSB Arena, and within moments of some great cafes and shopping, plus the waterfront area. Paid more than I should have for a 2 bedroom unit to give us all some space. The lobby is basic but what you expect from Quest. The unit appeared clean but we didn't use the kitchen. Beds were reasonably comfortable. Bathroom quite pokey. Perfectly functional for a short stay. Only complaints were two: there was no soap in the shower soap dispenser (annoying to discover once you're in the shower) and secondly once in bed/lights off discovered with my feet a cap inside the sheets at the end of the bed. This was somewhat disturbing and made me question if the sheets had actually been changed after the last visitors stayed in this unit. Both concerns were raised upon check-out and to her credit the staff member immediately apologised and acknowledged the unpleasant finding of the cap, and refunded me 20% of the rate paid. This was greatly appreciated.
Great location
Right in the centre of town so ideal for walking everywhere. Parking is an issue. Rooms large enough but bathroom was tiny.
Great location and nice room. Easy check in.
Nice hallways just very small but staff are absolutely amazing
Nice rooms clean with friendly helpful staff
Exactly what we wanted for an overnight stay
Great chain of Quest accommodations. Best one in Wellington. Clean and reliable and modestly priced. A couple of niggles but I fed that back directly. Highly recommended.
Great
First time staying here. Excellent location, easy access to most places. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Second tine staying here. Excellent location. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Quiet, warm and safe. Highly recommend
Our room was a studio on the 11th floor, the room was a little on the small size, the shower particularly so (comer unit with diagonal sides). Being on a side street you heard little road nose. There are plenty of food options within easy walking distance of the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we were able to check in very early which was excellent.
Great accommodation in a great location
Great location, right in the middle of the shopping/CBD area. The accommodation was great, clean tidy, serviced daily. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would certainly stay here again next time we are n Wellington.
Perfect place to stay in Wellington. Close to all services. Staff friendly and helpful
Mostly good
It was fine... a little noisy from the street below, and the washing machine drier difficult to work and not consistent with the instructions. Otherwise it was fine.
Very clean & tidy, looked like it had been newly renovated.
Was clean and tidy - my toilet seat was broken and they were very apologetic about it in the morning
Convenient
Great location, right in centre of town, excellent value.
Great lobby area and welcoming staff
Great stay
Images of the room were not the exact representation.
This was an excellent property, clean, easy walking distance to city centre, stadium and the waterfront
It was a good apartment, me and my partner stayed for a night before our flight. Checking in and out was easy as
Good base to explore the city, quiet rooms and good amenities in room. Thanks.
Everything was great. The service from Expedia was awesome
The staff were amazing - friendly, helpful and responsive. The studio was as advertised, and everything was in good order. The en-suite was small but perfectly functional.
Very safe and close to shops and harbour. A bit noisy neighbor with staying up late habits. But overall, would recommend.
friendly clean and close to amenities
Friendly staff. Clean safe functional room. Excellent value for money.
Shower is small but location is great in the heart of the city
Great location, clean and comfortable.
nice to have a kitchen and also be in town within walking distance from the main sites
The Quest on Johnson is in an excellent location, just a few blocks from the harbour and with lots of great restaurants nearby (highly recommend Avida, just across the street). The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet as long as you keep the window closed (4 AM garbage truck). Shower is small but good water presssure. Kitchen is reasonably well equipped. The unit had a bit of an odd layout and the TV in the living room is mounted too high to be able to watch comfortably. Two very small windows opening to an alley resulted in a dark room, but it was fine for a short stay.
We could park car under cover. Walk around town. Lovely room.
A very nice hotel. Good location.
Customers should be notified of this, as motion sickness was a big issue.
Bad mattress, bad washer/dryer, bad security
This was not a great stay - according to the staff, they replaced the mattresses recently, but unfortunately they chose very poor quality ones. I could feel springs against my legs, there was no topper or insulation against them. They also had not cleaned out the washing machine from the previous guests, so I had to remove used powder from the wrong slot, and it had not had a decent lint clean out for a long time, so it took three drying cycles to dry my clothes. Also, the “security lock” on the door is installed backwards, so just falls off when the door is opened, defeating the purpose of the security lock. Lastly, beware, this hotel will take reservations after their check-in counter is closed - which means you need to wait 20+ minutes to call a service centre on the intercom, then wait for a duty manager to come to check you in. Overall a very poor experience, would not book again.
Nice and clean, central location
A perfect place to be at the heart of town and the CBD
Perfect for Wellington CBD work
Super clean, well-located, friendly and helpful front staff.
The sofas are not clean. While booking we found parking is available but fees payable. Finally, we ended up parking on the street meter parking.
A well-run hotel. I know this affects the room price, but it would have been great to see a staff member over the two day’s stay. Slightly impersonal in that way only.
Appreciated the car park usage until 1pm after checking out at 10 am.
This is a good downtown spot. We had a two bedroom - second bedroom had no storage but otherwise ok. Enough of a kitchen to have breakfast. Parking is across the street (only 6 or 7 places so we were probably lucky) Very easy walking to tourist sites, restaurants. Washer/dryer unit washed but did not dry clothes - either we didn't figure it out after multiple tries or it didn't work. Housekeeper brought up a second drying rack (annd hung our clothes up!)
Overall nice hotel
Simply it's not fare ti advise your customer that you have to pay extra $40 for just a overnight parking Even staff response on the counter was pathetic.
Perfect stay, competitive price as well. Clean and tidy. Good amenities near by and great customer service by check in reception staff. Lack of air conditioning would be a concern during summer months.
People smoking just outside the foyer was annoying. Otherwise pleasant hotel. 👍
It was a good stay. The building swayed in the wind which was a bit disconcerting, but that was to do with the weather rather than Quest.
Loved the location to the Lambton Quay shops. Accommodation was clean, warm and just what we needed for the night. Reception people were very helpful.
Convenient location to office.
Service is great, parking building across the hotel (with a fee), walkable to shopping and food. Bed is awesome. Only con is not so quiet. Whenever next door open and close their door it affects our door, felt the pressure like someone try to break in your door. It's only the wind pressure, minor issue.
Very good stay. Would stay again. Reception staff helpful and friendly. Close to stops for airport bus. Well equipped kitchen area. Clean and fresh. Only possible comment would be a bin to indicate intention to separate landfill from recycle rubbish. A great choice for accommodation in central Wellington.
Convenient and fit all the needs
Everything good
Comfortable in a good location
Clean comfortable. Washer/dryer worked. Tv in bed room ans desk to work from. Comfortable bed but the shower was small. Room was dark due to closeness of building next to hotel. Great location to walk to many areas and by the sea.
The staff were excellent and so helpful!
I arrived a 22:00 hours and left at 06:00 It was a place to sleep for 8 hours. Clean and functional.
A nice quiet night as per usual
Great stay and so close to shops and waterfront.
Bathroom is too small. The heated rack is in the way of the sink. The hair dryer is broken.
Enjoyed the space of the two large bedrooms & lounge. The sacrifice was toilet/shower/bathroom all in one small area
nicely presented and clean
Friendly, attentive & efficient customer service at checkin and checkout. Very tidy, spacious apartment with ease of access and quiet location.
Great location, close to waterfront. The bathroom was ridiculously small. No aircon - just heater and a noisy fan. Room was too hot.
THIS BUILDING MOVES
DO NOT BOOK IF you suffer from motion sickness or anxiety. The building sways in the wind in such a way that the bed moves and its difficult to be steady on your feet. I was there on a very windy night and had to spend an hour sitting in the foyer to avoid seasickness. It felt a lot like being on a boat or in a rolling earthquake so not great for wellington.
Disappointing, room very small and dark, bathroom very small, shower tiny, could just fit in shower. No airconditioning, noisy, very hot in room so very uncomfortable. would not stay here again and definitely would not recommend. Not sure how they can get away with some of the room issues. Website very deceptive.
Very clean and nice location.
Great location
Great hotel in the CBD. Near everything. Staff was extremely helpful.
Good area. Nice restaurant next door.
Great room not far from the waterfront. Quiet area.
Booked last minute and received an upgraded room which was fabulous. Great location for shopping and close to the waterfront. Definitely recommend.
