Really weird hotel. Super nice look but not to good. No good food and only about 10 people staying in the massive hotel.

Reception looks great but the room I had looked old and tired with scruffy furniture and a dirty bathroom.

Location was not good unless you are using it for a 1 night stay before heading to the airport. Restaurant was not good at all. I took the managers recommendation, two bites in and I asked for the bill. Tasted bad/old. Had supper and breakfast from the vending machine. Bar - there was nobody working there so I asked the front desk if it was open, they said yes the restaurant staff will come serve me. Nobody came. There was a sign in the elevator for a lounge on one of the top floors, decided to take a look. When I got there the door was locked with chains, then all the lights on the floor went out. Pitch black!!! Luckily I had my cell for some light. In the morning I asked the front desk if they had any recommendations for something to do in the area, they just said “sorry sir, our hotel is not a good location to do anything” and just shrugged her shoulders. I took a 40 minute taxi to get to the closest place to do some shopping/sight seeing. Reserved and paid for 2 nights, left after one, it was just too inconvenient to do anything.

Overall great experience, very nice room, nice location, and good restaurant. Was a little surprised front-desk staff didnt speak any english, given this hotel is very close to a major international airport (shanghai pudong), but staff was friendly and we figured things out.

This hotel states that it has an indoor pool, however, it was under maintenence and construction during our stay. Also, the hotel states that it has air condition. The air conditioner was blowing air but not cold air. Our room stayed at a balmy 77 degrees f. I will say, they did try to change our room but the air conditioner was not cool. It was a hotel wide issue. The manager understood and offered us free dinner buffet. He was very nice and professional. Ask questions directly to the hotel before booking. This hotel is absolutely beautiful. They judt need to grt the pool and air ip and running properly.

This was a brief layover for us between long haul flights. The hotel was perfect for a sleep and refresh before returning to the airport. The hotel gym is one of the best I've ever used!

Futuristic hotel but staff lack experience

Amazing hotel but staff (seemed to be very few people around!) could be far more customer orientated/ friendly. And more food options for Westerners please! Convenient free airport shuttle was on time but driver didn't offer any help with loading/ unloading luggage!

okay hotel 15 mins drive from the airport

its an okay hotel 15 mins drive to the Pudong Airport. No-one speaks English, i know we are in China and i wouldn't expect everyone to speak English, but no one does. So make sure you have a translation app installed on your phone. Restaurant is only open till 8.30pm for full menu, restricted menu there after till 10pm the SPA only had one person working so if there are more then one of you you will have to wait. Oh and the massage was terrible. very average stay for a 5 star.... its actually a 4 star in my opinion.

Beautiful hotel with above average modern rooms. Breakfast was good too. Staff friendly and helpful. Free airport shuttle was great and available.

The front desk said there would be two free breakfast, and they collected the money the next day. The front desk made a mistake!! It was 250 yuan more and the breakfast was light! Five star breakfast price, one star breakfast quality, even no juice! 前台说有双早，结果第二天吃完才告诉你要付钱，一位125元，而且早餐连果汁都没有，品质特别差！五星级的价格，一星级的品质！！！差差差

The receptionist was super friendly and offered us complimentary breakfast. The bath gel inside shower box was not enough for two showers though. Overall the experience was positive and the quality was rather good value for money.

The staff were rude and at times unhelpful. The hotel is beautiful, including the pool facilities which we attempted to use until I was told I was not able to swim without a swimming cap. This was not stated in the rules, and as such I felt as though I should not have to wear it. Additionally, a creepy staff member decided he would just sit and watch us, since we were the only people using the pool. Overall, the hotel itself is beautiful, and has so much potential. It was the staff who were the issue.

Nice well built new hotel . I loved the rooms and location . Missing dining options , better coffee-shop and definitely in urgent need for a small shop / mart I met nice educated staff and the Hotel manager was very professional and helpful but they need to place better English speaking personal at the reception ALL the times.

The property is super luxurious with Vegas grade amenities. Room was clean, beautiful and very modern . My coworker and I were offered free breakfast at check in as I think they are trying to gain customer recognition. Anyway, $70 for a room that could cost $300+ in US.

Close to the airport, it's a good option if you need to catch a early flight.

The hotel itself is great although a bit isolated. It is quiet, very clean and the 88 rmb per person buffet lunch is really value for money. Everybody was very helpful. However, the masseur from the spa was atrocious. She cames in with a black face probably not happy she was called upon to work. Half the time she was playing with her handphone while using the other hand to do some light press. I really wonder how such a nice hotel end up employing such horrible worker.

Nice room, tv turns on by itself I had to shout off many times same wirh coirtains, courtains open evrytime you come in, elevators not working, hard time getting breakfast and dinner, cafeteria realy noisy with too long waiting in line.room service is a mess they don't understan your order , its so easy to have a form and hange to yor door Food was no good.long time shouttle weight at the airport, Hallo and good by for me.

Very nice resort with good environment. Clean and spacious room. Good view from window. Have shuttle to Pudong airport. Just need to take taxi to closest subway station.

Primus Hotel is a Very nice hotel and close to Airport.

I used the Primus Hotel for a 24 hour layover at the Shanghai airport. It's a luxurious hotel with comfortable rooms. Not all the employees spoke English but they would direct me to someone who could. All were helpful and polite. One resourceful employee even tried a phone app which translated my question to Chinese and his answer to English and it worked for simple questions. The water flow in the shower would be illegally high in the USA. The light switches were fixed but wireless. My powered drapes did no work, though. Safety features included a flashlight and smokemask with air filter to protect your eyes and lungs in case of fire. Breakfast was buffet or room service. The buffet was 125 yuan but worth it just for the wide selection of food. I used Orbitz local language hotel name and address but the taxi took me to the nearby Qube hotel. There we got further instructions to reach the Primus. The taxi fare was 40 yuan. The front desk has the schedule for a free bus back to the airport. General Information: In terminal 1, the "transit without visa" is booth 2 at immigration. Look for the 24 hour sign. Don't get in big line with most other visitors. Form to fill out is in a lucite box on wall. Needs usual entry stuff plus hotel name, address and phone number. Entering this online ahead of time failed as airport machine was broken. Form given on plane was not needed. Changing money outside the baggage claim area is less bad than inside. I got 647 yuan after 40 yua

brand new hotel, very nice but far away from everything and shopping area is not ready, so you forget anything and need it, no way you can buy it therefore.

Smell mold and fungus in the room!!! The wall was brown in some places due to humidity.

The wifi is really bad so if you have a business makes it hard.

I stayed at Primus Shanghai Sanjiagang at each end of my recent trip to the US, and was thoroughly happy with the room, the food and drink, and the ever competent, personable, and efficient staff - hope to be there again - KN

Qantas placement hotel.

I was placed in this hotel on Friday night following a cancelled flight back to Sydney. its a new hotel, big rooms and great bathrooms. The down side is the location although it is an airport hotel. Nothing is close by. The shopping centre attached to it is not completed yet. There a no english speaking tv channels which is understandable. The real killer is the lack of WiFi and phone coverage. Its almost non existent. The staff have very minor English understanding. I would of thought there would be some english speaking staff scattered around. All in all its a great hotel in a poor location. Staffing is a real issue.

Staff did not understand English, AC in room was horrible, food in restaurant was terrible. So glad I was there just one night.

The Bathroom was off the charts! Nice view of the waterway. Too bad there wasn't a small shop on premises for beers and sundries, also more dining choices would have been nice.

Lots of promise

We weren’t told that this property was still under construction in an isolated place with no small convenience store on property. The room was gorgeous and comfortable but the staff seem unsure how to serve Westerners. Very little English was spoken. With some changes and the addition of an English speaking Navigator and some of these stores and service eventually open this will make a great airport hotel.

This is beautiful hotel by the sea. Rooms and and guest service was very good, the morning breakfast buffet had plenty of excellent choices.

New hotel, staff is completely clueless and untrained. The rooms are correct, even tho it could be cleaner. All services are priced like in downtown Shangai at other 5* while the service they provide is more like a 2* ( massage, bar, restaurant ). As an exemple, it took them 15mn to try to make a cocktail that was on their menu ( bartender had to google it, then ask for someone what was the alcohol in it, to finally not be able to open the shaker....). At that point I just left, as funny as it was to look at him ask for assistance to open it. And I was the only costumer.

Hotel nice and clean, the staff very polite and helpful. But there’s nothing near the hotel no restaurants, no stores. The only option for dinner is at the restaurant in the hotel.

This hotel is very far away from everything apart from the airport. if you are here to play I would strongly advise booking closer to the city center. Taxi drivers refuse and complain about taking you to this hotel due to the position/location of this hotel. You will have difficulty getting pick up. The concierge also was very unhelpful and never greeted or helped with luggage. Also they do not clean with cleaning agents, this was noticed when I asked cleaner to clean up a clogged toilet, all she did was do a wipe down with dry towels.

Didi drivers are not familiar with the hotel. There are three hotels in the area and got dropped off at the wrong place. There is nothing anywhere near the hotel. No bars or restaurants except the in-house ones. The prices on-site were ridiculously high.

3rd time here. Staff here are all so amazing. Among them, a front desk staff named Lucien is by far the best as he has been paying close attention to little details of our needs and providing professional services and assistance. We will continue to revisit Primus. I hope i will also have a chance to visit other properties managed by Greenland group.

The staff was very helpful. I am a novice Chinese language speaker and the employees there, especially the front desk staff was extremely helpful.

The hotel is really beautiful and looks brand new. Really close to the airport. The only downside is that there’s only one shopping center right next to it but nothing else, if you want to do anything you have to take a taxi to Snanghai’s downtown (or the metro but it takes at least one hour). The restaurant staff is really friendly and nice but the reception staff not so much. I guess they don’t mind about foreign customers too much

Highly recommend this hotel. It is very close to the airport. It is very beautiful. Staff was helpful. Room was very clean and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was excellent.

I had 3 luggages with 20KG per bag. I wished someone at least help me to handle one luggage and I would appriciated. However, there's no one to help. Same as checked out. Additionally, the room card couldn't open the room and asked the cleanser to help and open the door.

Perfect for a layover/short stay. The property has a free drop off airport shuttle which is great. You just have to take a metered taxi from the airport to get there. It is less than $10. The breakfast buffet is good with professional staff and great spread. Facilities are brand new and clean, room has every amenity you would expect. Some of the staff do not speak English but the ladies working at the front desk are always there to help. Hotel gave me a late checkout which was awesome! Since the hotel is new some facilities are not complete like the pool/spa area. This is my only negative with this hotel. I would absolutely stay here again when im flying through Shanghai. For the money, 5 star service, close proximity to airport, breakfast buffet all under a $100 this place can not be beat!

This is a beautiful property which is only going to get better with shopping and kids entertainment centres being constructed . It is out of the way a bit and could do with a shuttle into Shanghai available to guests .

I am a former hotel operatorions member and I think your hotel is very nice however I noticed it was newly constructed. I recommend the hotel pay for a cleaning team to thoroughly clean the property with steamers and vacuums and really remove the dust and debris from the rooms and carpets. It was really irritating to my allergies but cosmetically was lovely!
