Booking doubled. Charged twice. No help from staff. Morning “breakfast toast and coffee. Eggs extra. Woul not suggest this property unless they at least respond to request to reverse double charges.
The hotel is a great location in the main plaza of town. Easy walk to the ocean and all the shopping and food you would want.
Didn't like the crappy continental breakfast with stale toast. Disgusting. Didn't like the cold water shower. It is a very noisy location. I could deal with that but not the other issues. I could of and will in future stay at many other places that include FULL breakfast that is good and room is les than 1/2 of cost.
.
Beautiful historic hotel. Perfect location. Lots of charm. Rooftop pool and patio was great. Staff were all very nice and tried to accommodate. Breakfast was very simple as described, but it could have been a little more varied. Also, the check in process would have been smoother if there was more information available about the area, tours available and other helpful information. All in all, it was a lovely spot and I would recommend it highly.
Breakfast was terrible. Felt sorry for the waitress and cook. Understaffed. Room was not cleaned properly. Garbage cans still full of waste from last guest. I questioned if the sheets had been changed. Overall very disappointed. Will not stay in this hotel again.
Wonderfully helpful staff, immaculately kept! A few things U.S. visitors might find challenging: zero parking; Apple Maps AND Google Maps led us to incorrect locations; late-night and early-morning neighborhood noise (primarily music & chatter); and NO hot water (at least, none of our attempts during 5 days’ stay). I would stay again in a heartbeat; my husband would not.
Hard to get hot water at times. Music in lobby too loud evenings and mornings.
This is a beautiful old property in the main square of town. It has a wonderful rooftop setting with a bar and a glass bottom pool. The views from here are gorgeous and it is a great place to rest and relax. The staff are absolutely great and committed to making your stay perfect. Nothing was too much and our requests were met almost immediately. We enjoyed our continental breakfast each morning and the hotel does have full restaurant service if required. We loved our stay completely.
Location, location, location! This property truly embodies the vibrant heart of the city! The architecture is not only beautiful but steeped in history, which adds so much character to our stay. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating—they went above and beyond to help us find great parking options and book fantastic tours at excellent prices! And let's talk about the live music every night—what a fantastic bonus! The stunning clear-bottom swimming pool on the rooftop offers breathtaking views, and it’s the perfect spot to unwind. Sitting up there in the sunset, reading a book while soaking in the lively atmosphere of the plaza below was simply unforgettable. This place is an absolute gem!
Everything was great, water heater takes awhile to heat up and the length of the hot water was an issue. Other than that the place was very pleasant and the staff was very helpful and always willing to help.
Oldest and one of the most beautiful hotels in Loreto. Right on the square so you may hear bells, music, street noise. Great breakfast choices. We loved the rooftop patio…just far enough above the square with lovely views.
We had the junior suite #300 and it was lovely. High ceilings and facing the zocalo. Very comfortable. Beautiful mornings.
Great location
Loved the old world feel
Very nice place but was never offered continental breakfast
La decoración el servicio top of the line Hotel tiene una ubicación fabulosa
Wonderful hotel!!
The staff was super friendly
Cutting too many corners
We’ve stayed here before and loved it, but this time we were disappointed. It started with check-in, when we were asked to pay $25 resort fee, rather than the $13.50 on our reservation. Next, no one to help carry our bags up 2 flights of stairs. Eventually the check in person did carry one bag up. This hotel has NO parking. We had to move our car 3 times. No drinking water in our room. No hot water in shower. Loud music and barking dogs kept us awake. The hotel didn’t bother to turn on the lights by the pool for us. There was a dangerous drop off and the pool was very shallow without any warning. Jumping in or diving in could have been disastrous. When we went for our free breakfast, we were greeted with - do you want black coffee and dry toast for free or do you want to see a menu. The free breakfast included literally 2 tablespoons of yogurt and granola and a 1/2 piece of toast with a nice bowl of fruit. It’s sad to see this beautiful colonial Mexican hotel so poorly managed. We won’t be staying here again!
Authentic hotel in the center of town. Nice staff.
Nice rooms great service.
The staff were amazing. This is such a unique and beautiful hotel.
The decor of the hotel was nice i loved the roof top restaurant and bar and pool.
I had to change my arrival date and so I called the hotel to ask if that would be ok. I showed the hotel the proof from my phone log of date and time I called. The employee who gave me the go ahead didn’t contact Expedia as they were supposed to so my card was charged for the night before I arrived. They had rooms for us but said we would have to pay again since the reservation I had was paid for. I told them I wouldn’t do that and that I thought it was unreasonable. I will dispute the charge with American Express as well.
Room was beautiful and very comfy bed. We had a corner room that was over the main plaza. Snacks on roof bar area were delicious. They seemed very short staffed. If you are a light sleeper and there on weekend ask for room in the back. The weekend is packed with activities on the Plaza. If you like watching from your balcony you will love it.
We had a wonderful stay in this very special boutique hotel. Staff, service, and dining experiences were exceptional. The location is in the heart of the plaza making access to shopping and exploring the town just steps away.
The building itself is amazing and beautiful. Our room was massive and simply perfect- authentic with huge doors overlooking the square. Everything was lovely!
Beautiful setting, close to the Mission. Everything within walking distance and a short ride from the airport. Bed was comfortable. Upstairs pool are was a little disappointing, Room just needed blackout curtains as the beautiful courtyard lights up all night.
there was next to no hot water and it was extrememely loud- due to the live music in the bar- next door----as well as anyone on the stairs or on the common floor---can be heard if they talk.------ also the thin curtains allow all the light in....day and night---as there are lights outside the windows- on the inside court yard. --staff friendly----- very pretty, great location-oh, bed kept coming apart--- the top thin mattress--kept sliding off---there is also no desk--- so you have people outside their room siting on their lap tops having conference calls right next to your door....not a good place--ify ou are a light sleeper- or cant sleep with light, or sound bothering you----and if you do not mind cold low pressure showers
The hotel is well decorated with beautiful art. There was a crying baby which could be heard everywhere so sound travels easily. The hotel was full and they did not have the room for my friends who had confirmed it so they had to find another place to stay which wasn’t easy.
Absolutely stunning property.
A beautiful property but the rooms lack windows. Also very few staff around to provide any service. Finally, I had to pay $90 tax when I arrived which was a surprise to me. I was told Expedia couldn't charge foreign tax. Is this true?
Gorgeous property, kind staff! Such an experience!
The vintage motif and the location were the things we liked most about the property. Suggestions would be to improve the lighting in the bathrooms and lounging areas of the rooms. Hot water recovery in the showers and bathroom.
The staff was great, some facilities need upgrading or better maintenance.
This is the first time I have ever rated a place. Went from December 1-8, 2023 and felt I needed to review. Housekeeping was horrible. Constantly needed to let front desk know our room wasn’t cleaned and stocked with Kleenex, toilet paper, towels. Only place I have ever stayed at where front desk people would lock up the front area and leave at 6pm. Literally no one there. The continental breakfast was a joke. The menu said we would get Coffee or tea AND toast or pastry AND juice or fresh fruit. The waitress refused to give us any more than a coffee and fruit or coffee and toast. This is an expensive place to stay so I would suspect better service and at least someone who worked there who could put a smile on their face and look happy to be there.
Very nice place, I’d stay again.
The main entry are is very nice. But the room (#120) was very small, no hot water for showering, hard beds, and the towels, hardest ever. There is no on site parking, so ended up parking 2 blocks away, and no help with the luggage. On Expedia it was listed at $185.00 per night, but when checking in the rate went to $276.00. I alway wanted to stay here, but never again...
The Posada de Las Flores in Loreto was a lovely hotel with a great staff that was eager to please. Excellent food at the restaurant and great drinks at the bar. The atmosphere and rooms were quaint while still being fairly luxurious for the area. The only issue came with the bill - the price we were charged at the property was not what was quoted on this site.
Because of Judith’s persistence and determination, we were able to accomplish our booking through Orbitz at a reduced rate. Not only did she welcome and accommodate our needs but present us with the best room in the entire hotel (in our opinions anyway)! After 11.5 hours on the road, we are now relaxing on the sofa with both large wooden doors open and looking out onto the evening activities of the square. Our room is spacious and extremely comfortable, and we are looking forward to a dip in the pool and the breakfast tomorrow. Splurge and book a junior suite which opens out onto the square and share in the happy and peaceful scene of Loreto Square. We are so ecstatic! Thanks Judith (Judy) for making it happen!
This hotel is in the heart of Loreto! Walkable to many shops, cafes, restaurants, and malecon. The property is beautiful and very picturesque. Highly recommend swimming in their pool and catching the sunset on their rooftop.
The staff and management at the property were amazing! Always available and friendly. The property is beautiful, the food and drinks are delicious, and the rooms are comfortable.
The property was beautiful and the location in the town square was perfect. The rooms were small and dark but beds were very comfy.
This is a charming hotel in the middle of town. The hotel promised internet in all rooms. They only had internet in the lobby, with relatively uncomfortable places to sit and use a computer. Furthermore, our room was adjacent to the restaurant that played loud music until about 10pm. The hotel staff was unwilling to give us a quieter room. The showers had unpredictable hot water, it would often go from cold to scalding hot. Fortunately, we did not get burned.
So authentically Mexican! Wonderful, helpful staff!
Located in an historic building centrally located in a very pleasant setting a block from the sea. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Be aware, however there was no heat in our room. This is not unusual for this area. Extra blankets were provided on request. Would definitely stay here again.
This hotel is awful. I do not recommend at all. I tried leaving a detailed review but this travel site will not let me tell the truth. I am keeping "alert" words out. W O R S T ever.
Old style Mexican Hotel very well maintained, comfortable (but no heat), clean and friendly. Located right on the square for easy shopping or just walking around, a very nice short (less than five minutes) stroll to the water. Restaurant was nice and staff great.
The hotel is not only beautiful but very clean as well. The staff are friendly and services are excellent! Location is central to restaurants, cafes, shops, waterfront and taxis. The only downside was that the church bells in the square can get annoying at 6am! You are in the town centre so there is noise from the local pubs. Overall I highly recommend this hotel and will stay again!
Loved our overnight stay here. The staff were excellent. The wifi was nonexistent in our room but that was a minor inconvenience. It’s available in the lobby.
Charming, nicely maintained hotel on the main plaza, staff is very friendly.
The staff was abundant and very friendly. They were accommodating and allowed us to check in a little early. Unfortunately the pool was not in service nor was the roof top seating area. We were able to walk out and view from the area though. Also, the water in the shower took forever to heat up, which was one of the primary reasons for choosing a nice hotel for our last night. Overall, it was a really pretty hotel. Great ambience. But was looking forward to a pool and luscious warm shower.
In the center of town, beautiful and next to several restaurant options.
Best place, central, night life 👌
This is a beautiful historic property in the heart of Loreto. The roof top pool is wonderful. There is no safe in the hotel for valuables. This property does not participate in any recycling at all which was disappointing to us as our previous accommodation did an excellent job with recycling.
This hotel is beautiful! As soon as we walked in, we felt as if we were transported back in time. The architecture and decor were so stunning. Our room was charming and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location couldn't have been better. We were literally steps from great restaurants, bars, a wonderful little coffee shop, shopping and the waterfront. We are definitely staying here again, and again! The roof top patio was really charming with great views. The pool was very unique because it had a glass bottom looking over the lobby. The only downside to the pool was the chilly temperature and that it was raised, so lounging by a pool was impossible. Although the uniqueness of the pool made up for this. Overall this hotel is fabulous for couples looking for a romantic getaway. We can't wait to return.
This place is beautiful in architecture and design. Whomever the owner is, really cares about the place, as it shows. Love this place and will definitely return.
Beautiful building, awesome location to the center of town with great dining options.
Beautiful property in an ideal downtown location. Comfortable bed. Nice room. Things that would make it even better: Black out curtains: our room faced the square and the lights were on all night. The breakfast buffet could open earlier - 7:30 am would be nice as some tours start at 8 am. It would be nice to have a little more variety for the breakfast buffet as well.
Great Loreto Stay
This is an amazingly beautiful hotel with authentic Mexican art and charm right in the center of town. The tile work and attention to detail is incredible. I would love to return!
If you want to stay in a historic and beautiful location and be treated like royalty, this is the place! The staff were genuinely sincere, helpful, accommodating, and nice. Relaxing on the roof, hearing the beautiful morning piano playing in the town square was over the top enjoyable with breakfast and a swim. I appreciated the communications from the hotel prior to my arrival, checking in with me and having bi-lingual staff. What was challenging, we had a car rental and we could not get any map to take us to the hotel. I use android and my companion an iphone. Neither devices nor the maps programs brought us to the hotel. You cannot drive to the hotel because it is a walking district. The taxi could pull up and drop/pick up people at certain hours. I had to walk around to find the hotel, then put the neighboring bank into my map program, then I was able to navigate to the closest street. There is no guest parking so that can be tricky. We did not see information on the hotel website informing us what to do with our vehicle. That would have been helpful. The other thing I did not appreciate, was the noise of the night life in the walking district. We did not understand from the hotel advertisement that the hotel was in the hub of night life walking district for those wanting to party all night. I was woken up several times by the hooting and hollering and loud music. I suspect they may have quieter rooms on the other end of the hotel than I was on.
A beautiful place to stay in the heart of Loreto.
Loved the upstairs patio, the beautiful murals on the walls, the flowers, the knick-knacks all around, the breakfast room and the pool on the top.
Great Hotel!
I will absolutely stay here again! The quaint hotel is positioned right in the town-center--meaning that you are centrally located nearby plenty of shops, restaurants, cafes, and activities. A direct pathway leads offers a short walk to the malecon, the mission cathedral, and the tourism office. The hotel itself also displays beautiful furniture, unique murals, and beautiful fountains. Make sure to take advantage of the beautiful rooftop terrace, pool, and the hotel spa located directly across the way in the town square. Some things to consider: being in the center of town does lead to noise (usually ended by 9/10 PM) AND the wifi is not the most reliable in rooms (it worked well in the lobby...but, I you are on vacation also so take it as an opportunity to fully unplug and enjoy Loreto!).
Luxury in a quaint modest village. What a fantastic find! Beautiful, quiet historic hotel in a small lazy Mexican village/town. Great non intrusive staff, clean, gorgeously furnished common space and rooms. Nice rooftop pool (unheated a no go in winter) and a cute breakfast nook. Essentially, part of the town square, walk to beach, marina, dining-everything. Great coffee spots next door. Will definitely return.
Lovely property in the heart of Loreto’s charming little town. Exudes Mexican charm and has a nice rooftop area with views of the town square, a pool and comfortable seating to enjoy sunsets.
Continental breakfast with no juice. Square toilet seat. No hot water. Location is fabulous.
Our stay was lovely. The staff was wonderful and extremely helpful and accommodating!! The hotel is situated in the center of town’s square which was festive and lively being Christmastime. We will definitely return.
Lovely property in downtown on the pedestrian mall at town square. Located close to the Mission and restaurants, and just a short walk to the beach.
Breakfast was poor
Beautiful hotel and good location
Cozy, quiet and pleasant
Cozy, quiet and pleasant. We were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed two stops here over the last two weeks while traveling Baja. Posada de las Flores sits on the twon square and the roof top patio and pool are very relaxing.
In the heart of Loreto, this hotel oozes with character. The stone floors, tile, and individual murals in each room make this special. The rooftop deck with pool and lounge area overlooking the zocalo are perfect for people watching and listening to live music in the evening. The staff is super nice and helpful.
This is the most magnificent property. It is located in an absolutely beautiful place. It is my favorite place in Loretto, and possibly one of my favorite places in Baja SUR. I think there is a little miscommunication between the offerings that Expedia has and the rooms that are available. I ordered a double standard room, which is two double beds, and they do not have that here. Just for your information. Otherwise, this place is the best! Service is impeccable and the property is magnificent!
This is a gem
Beautiful traditional decoration right on main square. Fun and quiet little spot.
Only complaint was no shade at or around the pool
Very charming hotel with a great location.
everything is great except for Internet service and TV service. The staff claim that the whole town has problems with the Internet and cable TV, but I went to many shops and they can't clear no issues TV, and they also provided free Wi-Fi at high speed.
All good
Great location, great decor, nice staff, very clean and terrific rooftop terrace.
Very nice place. Very comfortable and very nice staff
The property was beautiful, well kept and the personnel frienldy and helpful. The only real draw back is no parking. We had to park quite a distance away at first, but were then able to move the car later to a closer spot. It was still an effort to get luggage, etc to the facility.
Great historic hotel located in the town square
Great historic hotel located in the town square, could not ask for a better location.
Toilet didn’t work well. Property is beautiful. We had to sleep in a queen bed and thought we had requested twins. (2 women). Night was not comfortable.
Wonderful Stay
Wonderful historic hotel in a great location. Comfortable bed, lots of storage, good shower and terrific breakfast. Service is exceptional. Can be loud at night due to location on the square, however, everything seems to close up by 9:30 pm. It didn’t bother us. We were here 3 nights.
Simply mystical
Upon walking up to the building located in the city centers courtyard (best location to be), you get this feeling that time not only stopped, but somehow got reversed. The exterior aesthetics makes you take a step back and a minute to take in; but it's inside where the mystique of this hotel takes place. Service was great, but the grounds is really what puts this on the top of our already checked off, bucket list!
Nice looking hotel. Loud live music every night until 9pm and once a month until midnight. No double windows, plumbing needs repair and tv wasn’t working well. Also no black out drapes.
Fantastic stay!
Wonderful small inn , located next to the malecon for easy access to all activities, restaurants and shops. Beautiful old style Mexican architecture and decor! Staff very helpful and friendly and a wonderful full breakfast was served in the rooftop dining area! The pool was being cleaned during our short stay so we didn't use it, but it looked very nice and is also on the rooftop with a beautiful view of the city. Would definitely stay here again!
Lovely building right on the quiet town square. No car traffic to speak of. Mostly kids playing and evening music from nearby restaurants. Great old world feel. Clean high ceiling room with nice antiquities throughout the premises. Roof top breakfast and small pool with privacy and wonderful views. Attentive and friendly staff.
Its a beautiful hotel. The staff guards your privacy but the overall vibe is mellow. Staff is friendly. The hotel is right in the center of town.
I love this hotel. Second time there and plan to return again. This time, the town square was very quiet except for several celebrations that were a delight to watch. The suites are lovely. The staff are wonderful. It is beautifully appointed and elegantly authentic. They have a nice fruit and yogurt breakfast including a small frittata. A slice of quiche would be a wonderful addition. Proximity to the wonderful boat trips and swimming in the sea or Cortez is what it is all about.
Gorgeous hotel and highly recommend:)
Beautiful hotel and excellent location. Highly recommend!
I tough it was going to be a safe hotel and worse decision i ever made ... first of all i just step out to go get an ice cream left all my valuables in the room when i came back room services was done yea half ways house keeping only did the bed never clean the toilet and i notice my backpack was open once i check someone had when into my wallet and took money they took $40.00 i call manager right away and he had housekeeping lady come in my room but she say she didnt touch it but she sure knew were exactly i had left it is so sad that nothing was done about it please if you do.decide to.stay here carry all your valuables with you
Great boutique hotel
Great boutique hotel right in the central plaza. Old style villa over 3 floors. Nice, helpful staff. Pity tbe balcony bar wasn't open but no quibbles.
Beautiful and Charming!
This hotel was beautifully appointed and comfortable. The location was wonderful, close to everything. The staff took great care of us. I especially loved the complimentary coffee service available at any time. We loved the decor. And the concierges were all very nice; they helped us book an island adventure. I definitely recommend this place.
Simply gorgeous entry and atrium - really felt like a five star hotel every time we came "home". Such amazing decor. Perfectly located right on the plaza with the best views from the roof top deck. Friendly staff, fun glass bottom pool. It was pretty empty when we were there (early May), but I can just imagine the liveliness during the high season.
Hotel did not honor my confirmed reservation through Expedia forcing me to pay 25% more for a bigger room as that was "all they had available". Nice hotel in great location in Loreto but will stay elsewhere next time due to the reservation issue.
Beautiful building with a great rooftop view and breakfast. Very kind staff. And in the middle of it all

Great hotel centered in town. Friendly staff
