Nice place for a short stay vacation . Very friendly staff
The most amazing staff I've ever had the pleasure to meet. All of them were super friendly, very kind, helpful and accommodating.
Will come again here!
Not white sands beach, but the swimming and hotel is nice 👍
It’s a very beautiful resort. Their private beach is very nice and clean with many lounge chairs. Bar service at the beach is great. The hotel staff including the Bellman are very helpful and polite. We recommend this resort. We will be back to stay here again.
Not a real 5 star resort, lower your expectations
Stay was ok. Best for family outings. Food in hotel restaurant was the worst. Cold food, small portions, bland flavors. Best to eat at Lagao or Tex-Mex resto by the beach area. Staff were nice, courteous and accommodating but sometimes clueless when communicating to them in English. Rooms looked old even if it was only a 10-year old resort, a few equipment were breaking down and room condensation was bad.
Nice resort. Great location with walking trail around lagoon and nice beach. Rooms are mediocre for price. Needs better decoration than a hospital room, better bed and more pillows. A nice lounge chair or loveseat would compliment the room
great staff terrible rules and management.. set up as family resort but they didnt let kids bowl. everything closed down at 8 pm. and no entertainme t
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pico de Sands. Our hotel had a few minor maintenance requirements, but overall, great getaway! Wished I booked our stay a little longer before making prior plans.
I was supposed to get a bigger room but I didn't.everything was so expensive...boat rides jet skis so expensive.food
Was happy to have discovered this gem. Beautiful place to r n r, close to Manila. Staff was very patient and accommodating. Loved how the resort was constantly kept clean, check in was efficient and thank you for the upgrade. Keep up the great work and looking forward to visiting again.
Location
It was a relaxing one as akways. I just sneeze in the room when aircon is functioning, meaning, its not maintained prooerly, thats why the dust. Understandable though, but I hooe it can be acted on.
I observed that the aircon is not clean because everytime we use it, we sneeze.
Beach hotel nestled ina cove surrounded by forest
Our two night stay was relaxing and also refreshing. Hotel is nestled near a lagoon and surrounded by lush forest and hills. Our room was clean and spacious. The beach is within walking distance and beautifully framed in the center of a cove. Many amenities are available from rentable jet skis, boat rides to neatby coves to a beautiful outdoor pool. the two restaurna I would atay at this hotel again.
View from room
Room is ok ,but their restaurant only serve lunch diner buffet for their guests, if you want their A la carte menu, you should order the food and eat it at your room , why is the restaurant don't provide a space for those who would order A la carte menu
Good place to stay .. everything you need is in one place
Spacious sorroundings
Pleasant stay at Pico Sands Hotel
The staff are all friendly and accommodating. The pools in the country club are clean. The place is nice. The pico de loro cove has big shoreline. There is a short zumba session by the beach. We had fun.
Honeymoon Hotel.
Due to an excisting foot injury the hotel kindly provided a mini wheelchair. But it was totally inadequate in size and, due to its small front wheels, caught in a metal drain tipping me out onto the pathway. I injured my knee and hip and I need an X-ray. This did affect my holiday of course. Paramedics were called. However the staff were so friendly and accommodating, the breakfast buffet was extensive with an additional omelette which was really crunchy with the chopped vegetables. The lunch and dinner offerings were superb a bit pricy though. The drinks (red wine for me) at ₱385 per glass were also expensive but they had an offer of ₱700 for as much as you want. It's a 'no brainer'. The room was a good size, a comfortable bed but a settee would have been nice rather than sit on the bed all the time. My wife and I stayed for 6 nights.
Maintenance need be done…rooms and facilities. A lot of the staff needs to be trained better.
Pico Sands is a great hotel. It is located at Pico beach and shares facilities with the Pico country club and resort. Check-in was seamless and their focus on keeping the resort COVID-free was impressive. In fact, we stayed at two 5-star hotels prior to this and the Pico Sands was the only one to ask for vaccination certificates. The food in the restaurant is first-rate. The facility is now a little older but clean and functional. Overall highly recommended, but book early.
Great place to stay if you want piece and quiet.
We were pleasantly surprised with this remote resort. It really is a private beach resort for those who want to get away and relax in a secluded environment. The facility and amenities were very good.
Excellent
Check in time was at 2:00pm but our rooms were not ready yet by 3pm.
Friendly professional staff, excellent food, and top notch amenities!
overrated hotel, overpriced food, untrained staff
location is nice but we booked room with extra large balcony and significant extra - they forgot to mention that you can't sit there as it right above the aircons and is incredibly noisy! Also, food choices for lunch/dinner very limited and OVERPRICED. And staff are friendly but not trained for 5 staff hotel! Requested make up of room, which they forgot, staff don't understand simple requests in English, Staff not trained like what you expect in 5 start hotel - 2-3 stars at most!
Lost a lot of close through there laundry service. They outsource it and never got back what they sent out
No other choices when it comes c to food
not even 3 star
Nature
Poor value for money
Poor value for money. Poor amenities. We were informed that our rooms were available at 3:20 PM via text message.
I love our stay Pico Sands as always. The room are clean and have enough amenities for a very comfortable stay. The only issue we had is that I booked 3 rooms for me and my family which are mostly seniors and they are not near each other. The front desk helped us out though to have them on the same floor. Other than that our stay is great.
The place was nice but the food in their restaurant is disappointing and would definitely not be back to eat in that restaurant. The sinigang soup we ordered was cold and the shrimp was not fresh. And the service took forever. Very disappointed
Covid getaway resort
Upon arrival the hotel appeared to have limited facilities (covid induced perhaps) all their convenience shops were closed and almost no restaurant choices but as it turned out the food was nice and menu size just enough for our 4 night stay. This could have been made clear to us prior to booking but was not! Beer and soft drinks were very expensive compared to other Philippine resorts and as their shops were closed we would either be T-Total or pay up. With nothing close to Pico Sands we stayed within the resort however for 1000 peso each way you could venture outside to visit the small beach villages about 15 to 30 mins south of the resort which, according to Google, have more restaurant choices (not sure what they were like cos we did not go). The walking trail to Santelmo beach was good and being mid week rather than weekend we had the 'paradise' beach to ourselves. The beach is privately owned by the resort and well kept. We saw a 6 foot monitor lizard on the trail and some reef sharks frolicking by the shore when we arrived at the beach. Snorkeling was excellent, many fish, and also saw giant clams which were about the size of beach balls. Opted to take their luxury boat back to Pico de Loro beach which was expensive but a great way to end the trip. All in all, the staff were friendly and accommodating and the hotel set around a beautiful lagoon with water lilies and if you want a quiet beach holiday and don't want to get too active then you'll probably enjoy it.
Hotel makes an art form out of being mediocre
This property continued to underwhelm. The ground maintenance was poor, the staff unmotivated, the food was sub standard, the beach cafe was atrocious and didn't have anything on the menu and didn't open until midday, it was totally over priced for what it offered and worst of all you had a plastic paper arm band attached to your wrist on arrival as if you were attending a teenage disco or concert event. I will never go back and I hope others don't either.
We liked everything cleanliness, excellent customer services and great ambiance! We enjoyed the dinner/fireworks show during New Yrs Eve!!!
OMG
It’s too dirty & oily restaurant menu. Food tastes is too right & breakfast is same menu 2days. We don’t wanna go this hotel anymore hahaha...
Sands Hotel was a pleasant surprise. We arrived way too early to check-in and waited about 4 hours before we secured a room. In the meantime, we were able to use the amenities and begin charging to our room already. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating to our requests. The premier room lagoon view is larger than we expected which is a very nice surprise. The Chef was roaming the breakfast buffet and visiting with guests to make sure guests are happy with the food. Due to Christmas season, they brought in a local Taho vendor to serve authentic taho for breakfast and for merienda, a hut that served fresh bibingka, puto bungbong, turon, chicharon, and leche flan. The grounds are clean and lush with greenery. The pool has different sections and varying depths for all levels of swimmers or non-swimmers. We were a little disappointed with the beach area. The sand is course and rocky in the water which made it difficult to walk in the water. During our stay, it was high season for marine life such as jelly fish. The cove tour made up for the beach. We had a great tour of the coves and snorkeling experience. Overall, I would recommend Pico de Loro as a nice getaway that is not too far from Manila.
The property is well equipped by transport to move around. The countertop of toilet at room 414 is not too good because of water ponding.
The Beach was awesome!!! but the bed in the room was the hardest bed that I ever slept in. I do a lot of traveling around the world and paid far less for a lot better quality. I was very disappointed!!! The only other issue was the buffet, The selection was not accommodating for international travelers, I understand that they provide a lot of local cuisine but being at a resort and just coming from Bangkok and experiencing their breakfast I was disappointed!!! They were very accommodating to international travelers!!!
Quiet location best for families
Enjoyed 3 nights here but more suited for families. Breakfast options ok but more suited to locals. Hotel 24 he restaurant needs a bigger menu. No on-site store which is limiting. Spa is okay but not exactly experienced staff.
great place great staff
amazing staff and wonderful place.. we enjoyed our stay there
Food is great and staff is really friendly. Hotel rooms are very clean and the view is nice. The only thing that I didn't like is it's far from the City.
Friendly staff. Good food. Clean rooms. Beautiful place.
Very nice place
Incredible Philippine beach location near to Manila. The staff is so sweet and helpful. The place is beautiful and so clean. It is not cheap so if you are kuripot, stay away.
I enjoyed the the beauty of the surroundings at the Pico Sands ,they have a nice beach and the pool area is very scenic with trees everywhere. I also like the buffet area where you can view the lagoon while eating,so refreshing.
Wonderfull
Poor breakfast. Monday’s was the previous night’s dinner reheated. For the amount they charge, that’s poor.
First time high at Pico De Loro
Truly a memorable stay for the family. First time for us to stay at Pico De Loro and it was worth it. Staff was friendly, warm and accomodating. Kudos for being customer centric. Amenities are superb, pool area was enjoyed by our kids and the beach is clean Environment is secure and well maintained. Food is always replenished, even though we came down to eat at 9am, the food trays were full Suggestion is for the front desk to make checking in impressive esp for first timers. You can include an orientation, welcome drinks and some sort of tour of the facilities for guests who arrived early. We were there at 11am and got checked in at quarter past 2 for 2 rooms and only got nptified of the 3rd room around 4pm already, we could've made use of the 3 hour waiting time knowing we can explore the area or offered to have our lunch for delays. Also, room airconditioning in one of the rooms we booked was complained for non cooling and was offered room transfer But overall Pico De Loro is definitely a place we would love to visit
Not too far from Manila with plenty of green areas and a beautiful beach. The facilities are also great for kids.
Property, amenities, beach access is great. Staff is average at best and food isn’t up to convenience store standards.
Very nice place for a nature lover..
Nice but pricey. Good for people not traveling on a budget.
We enjoyed the view and the variety of activities that the hotel offers. Breakfast was excellent.
Excellen resort, not far a way from Manila
This is what you can call 5 star property, including the facilities and service. Since we visit out of season there were not many guests. What we noticed afterwards, we saw people offering their apartments in the same resort through other means and the cost was under half what it cost to reserve one hotel room. This is just a though for visitors. This is one of the best resorts I have ever visited, definitely worth visiting. Next time I should visit the walking path too.
Overall Pleased
My wife and I stayed for three nights and four days and overall it was nice and pleasant. The staff, hotel accommodations and restaurants (2) were excellent! The beach is beautiful but it was rough due to rainy season and the impending typhoon was passing through the center of the country. Another unforeseen issue was that we stayed during a Philippine holiday (National Hero's Day) and our wifi in the room sucked. The hotel was packed with guest and unfortunately the wifi could not support the heavy demand. On Tuesday, the majority of the guest have left the premises and the wifi was back up and running to speed. We were very pleased with the wifi reception then! So with this said, don't expect good wifi reception during the holiday especially when the hotel is packed with guest. Something to keep in mind when reserving a room and wifi is a necessity. I would recommend this hotel to friends and guest with some cautions. Bottom line, Its a very safe, quiet and friendly place to stay. It was worth the money and would stay again knowing what I know now.
a lot of activities, even with bad weather a lot of things to do, perfect for families
Little things can have a big impact. Restaurant staff need more training and better supervision. A member of the management team in the breakfast areas would help improve overall customer satisfaction. Not clearing tables of used plates and bowls etc was a big frustration. Restaurant and bar prices were expensive and the menus uninspiring.
The place is amazingly gorgeous. We really had a great time, good food & warm customer service. Definitely we will visit Pico Sands next year😊
It's 5 stars! A perfect getaway for families! Very secure. Security guards on the gates, lifeguards on swimming pools and beach. Staff are very polite and respectful of guests
I liked that it wasn’t crowded. It’s an exclusive beach place where you can relax and can do fun activities. We wished we could do more activities like snorkeling and kayaking, but the weather was not good. It makes a high tides and waves at the beach. Overall, staying at Pico Sands Hotel was pleasant and enjoyable.
Nice place!
Carita
Our stay was great! The power did go out for a few hours but the staff was attentive in getting it back! Pool and beach were fabulous!
Very good and nice place to spend time with the family.
Suggestions
The place need to have a night life. The place is boring during night time. This is my second time to visits this place and i dont see any improvement. Hoping to see improvements for my next visits...
I like the place, their service and the staff.:)
It has low rise buildings but it was able to preserve nature and with white sand. Love the place. Will come back soon
All of it was excellent, very relaxing stay.
We stayed here during holy week. The view from our room is beyond all praise.room is super clean, nicely decorated, kid friendly and covered all needs.the only thing is check in time should be on time, we’ve waited 1 hour for our room to be available.Overall this is a great hotel with amazing staffs and I would definitely stay here again.
The only thing that I didn’t like is that the pork or beef used to cook is so fatty like the liempp and lechon kawali we ordered
Àmazing stay in Pico de Loro
Amazing
Very nice swimming pool. The food at the restaurants were just okay. The price for the food were a bit high for the quality of taste. I was informed at the restaurants that when paying for my food bill that I can only charge it to my room. Only to be advised during check-out that I could use any form of payment. While taking a shower, the hot water turned warm after several minutes. Commending Mr Santos from Lagoa Restaurant and Mary Jane from Lagoa bar for great service!
Beautiful resort, staff is watching what you eat!!
Loved the resort, only item I might have a complaint is the breakfast buffet Signed up for and then they tried to charge my daughter for it which they said they are watching what the guest are eating!! Which was a surprise to me !!!
Beautiful place, not impressed by the food
We enjoyed our stay in Pico Sands, beautiful place and nice rooms. Two things that disappointed us. The food in general was a disappointment, but good food in the restaurant by the pool (buffet). Breakfast buffet very disappointing, expect more at this price level, serving Tang powdered juice!?! Another disappointment was the beach facilities. Only around 20 or so sunbeds, and the hotel alone has more than 150 rooms, in addition to all the other private apartments also utilizing the same facilities. The sunbeds itself looks very nice, but non adjustable, meaning you can only tan on one side. Expecting more as it's quite expensive.
Bad, bad
Bad overall. Smelly room, bad service, stingy on the toiletries. The only good thing was the beach.
Staff were very helpful, the room we had was very clean. The whole resort was very clean and well maintained. The food choices at breakfast were limited
Beautiful private beach with clear water - I could see fish and crabs without snorkelling gear. Gorgeous sunsets every night and also caught a baby sea turtles release into the ocean
Beautiful hotel in a beautiful cove
Beautiful hotel in a very beautiful cove. Not too far from the city and an easy drive. Hotel staff are very friendly and the service is good. Food and drinks are also good. Even as a non-member, there is still so much to do and see. Rooms are good value for money and extremely tidy.
Beautiful sunset at Pico Beach
We booked four rooms for each family for an overmight stay in the 3rd weekend of January. Hotels.com had the best rate after comparing it with booking directly with the hotel and with other booking sites. The hotel linen, pillows and towels really need updating. But the facilities of the hotel and the Club look well-maintained. The price of the food at the restaurants is average for hotel service. Pico Beach has a very beautiful view of the sunset. The staff of the hotel and the resort are very attentive to the needs of the guests.
Nice hotel and many things to do. Yummy food, perfect room
Hotel staff are friendly and receptive of our needs. .
Very comfortable bed! Nice room. Awful food with many ingredient substitutions. Good swimming pool.
Great for kids who love the beach. Expensive
Great beach for little kids. We went on a family trip woth my 3 year old son. The beachis clean and shallow with lots of fishes swimming around so he had a great time. Theres not alot of sun loungers there and some of the umbrellas were broken. The room we got a premiere lagoon view. Its an ok room norhing special. Its big but the beds were normal size. The painting in the room was old and rusty, the blinds were chipped, somw of the electrical sockers werent working and the thermos to make cofee was broken as well. The food was good in the Pico restaurant. Expensive for so little that they serve the food. Breakfast was ok, ordinary food nothing special. The Lagoa restaurant I think we had a bad time. Expesive food and it nots good at all. The pool was. Ery cold specially at night. And towels are php 50 per hour which was weord since your a hotel guest they should provide some for you. I say overall its only a 3 because My son had fun at the beach and the lagoon. The environment was also clean and staff were nice. But the wuality of the place I dont think its worth paying that much.
We enjoyed it
The service sucks! The room service takes .30 mins to reply!
good hotel but the interior needs refurbishing. Food is good. Needs more restaurants since you cannot go out.
you don't get what you paid for. Typical SM experiences.
Buffet breakfast thumbs up👍👍👍 Nice ambiance of mountain view at your balcony room
The hotel and the amenities are all good and clean. The staff are accommodating in all our request and queries. It would be nice if welcome drinks would be served upon arrival/check in, mostly for those guest like us who have gone from a long travel all the way from South of Manila. But then our experience in Pico de Loro is such unforgettable one. Highly recommended.
Nice Place
the room was nice but limited food choices
Was first time at pico great relaxation place and staff are courteous and friendly I will recommend it
We enjoyed the beach & other facilities. Playroom should be free of charge for hotel occupants. Menu is limited.!
It was crowded during the time we went there. But overall, it was good.
I checked in after 10pm and there was no issue, quick and easy. Hotel was very quiet and very clean. 24 hour restaurant and bar which was nice considering my late check in. Beach is 10 min walk or 5 min shuttle which comes often. Beautiful beach and awesome pool. 5000 pesos for taxi service to Manila airport (2-4 hours depending on time and traffic).
Such a peaceful, beautiful location. The staff were very friendly, helpful and went out of their way to meet any need we had. The regular shuttle bus was helpful getting us back and forth to the beach. As we were a family, having Lifeguards helped us feel more safe with the children at the pool area. Would definitely recommend.

Good facility. Nearby developments might infringe on the excellent status.
