Good value for money. Excellent reception service.
The pods offer budget accommodation approximately 15 mins walk from excellent restaurants and shopping in Liverpool City Centre. We easily walked from Liverpool One Bus Station. The receptionist was very efficient, helpful and friendly. We found the room good value for money, clean and spacious. On arrival we were informed of a breakfast included which we were not aware of. A welcome surprise! Our stay was comfortable. This is an option worth considering in a city where accommodation can be expensive and poor value for money.
Situated in a gritty ( though fairly central) area of Liverpool, we chose this hotel as we were on a limited budget. It is functional and clean, but the room we stayed in was a bit cramped, and there is little or no noise insulation. We had the window ajar for air, and were kept awake by the noisy gulls. The people who returned to their room at 3.30am may as well been in our room with us , the soundproofing is that non existent. This is ok for younger people who want a bed for the night, but if you can afford a bit more I would definitely advise to stay elsewhere. Check in and staff very good. Efforts obviously being made to make it a nice place to be.
A great place for a short stay.
Myself and a friend were staying for 2 nights for an event in Liverpool. Would definitely recommend. Cons - room was quite small and very, very warm! Pros - reception staff were lovely and really helpful, good location (20min walk to centre), parking, fab communal sitting area with huge kitchen, nice breakfast. A nice stay.
The hotel was lovely but the area was a little grim. The doors slam and do not have safety catches on. In my honest opinion I felt it was made as student halls and then made as a hotel.
Staff were lovely. Very welcoming place. Rooms were nice and everything you need. Will definitely be staying again!!
If you're looking for a good nights sleep, Phoenix Pods is not the hotel for you. It appears to be a fairly newly fitted out hotel, above a convenience store outside the centre of Liverpool. The entrance is around the side, hidden away. The fire doors (which of course I appreciate are needed) in this hotel all have very hard close attachments, so when you walk through, unless you turn and slow them down yourself they bang like a door in a wind tunnel - every single one. We had the joy of being in room 115, which on arrival seemed great as it was the first room to the right practically on the first floor, however it was also next to the first floor access door which every person who stayed on the first floor had to use, which banged every single time someone went through, from night until morning. Falling to sleep, fine, being woke up every 10-20 minutes, draining. I will not be returning, I'm knackered.
This hotel is not too far from Albert Docks ( /- 30 min. walk) The room is too small with no air conditionning.
For the price you can’t really complain about a single thing I thought this hotel was great, I’ve paid far more for far less before. Room was spotless, staff were nice, breakfast was pretty good, comfy bed, only issue is the parking is a bit confusing on arrival but other than that it’s absolutely fine
Great room for the night
Great room, did get told off for talking too loud but in their defence it was 4am and I was drunk lol. Only 5 min taxi ride from the centre. Served its purpose for a boozy night around Liverpool.
Fabulous place to stay. Lovely staff so friendly and helpful. Clean and the beds were very comfy
it was an ok stay all in all thanks to the staff
Hotel rooms were as expected and decent but unable to sleep all night as big group of loud people on same floor who the security or hotel staff were unable to contain and were shouting and banging on doors most of the night.
le prix le confort
Pænt, rent og roligt.
