Don’t simply take what they say by words
When coming to make a profit, everything else can be sacrificed in this hostel.
Be careful of what you can actually get
The hotel cut corners everywhere is possible. Overpriced tour, bad taste and low quality lunch, hidden service charges all the time for every booking although claiming no service charges.
Great sunset. Food and drink was tasty. Staff very friendly. Good boat tour. Perfect hostel for travellers.
This was the most wonderful hostel I’ve ever stayed at. The staff are some of the best people you will ever meet! Super friendly and kind. The rooms and bathroom are kept very clean. Compared to other hostels this one has a more home like vibe and is a super social place! I hope to come and visit the outpost family again one day!
This is such a friendly, sociable, clean hostel in an amazing location. Staff are all so nice and there’s events every night. Tours are well organised too. Food is very good. 100 pesos for a trike into town. Only downside is we had no Wi-Fi in the rooms.
Party hostel
This is a party hostel full of English gap year students. Don’t stay here if you are a couple or want convenient access to restaurants in town - you will have to pay 100 pesos each way for a dangerous journey on a tricycle. My advice is to stay at Friendz hostel in town.
Amazing hostel
Great crowd and the staff really made us feel at home. Make sure to get island hopping tours from them as they tailor it a bit to visit the sights when it's less crowded. Overall great experience.
The best
i had the best time there. The staff is awesome, the food delicious. Impeccable service.. clean and organized.
Good but dodgy barman
Stayed a night as a solo traveler. Would recommend but be careful of the English guy behind the bar as he over charged for drinks.
Great hostel
Its a great hostel with lovely sunset views. Fab, friendly staff. Fun evening entertainment, but the bar does close at 10.30. Its 100 peso via tuc tuc to the town
Best view in El Nido!
A great, friendly, fun hostel, with a focus on fun! Lots happening, great welcoming staff!
good location to both beaches. Only downside no wifi in the rooms....which is nice if you get food poisoning from in town lol.
Great hostel, exciting staff & nightlife; little difficult to get to from the road.
Hostel la good life
Best Hostel to stay on the Beach of Elnido
Hands down the nicest hostel and location to stay at in El Nido. I checked in around sunset and the place was buzzing, with its gorgeous beachfront location and fun mix of guests (not only 20year olds). I’d give this place 5 stars if not for two reasons: - beds should have curtains, as the rooms are really small and barely give any privacy - the Filipino staff were amongst the nicest and funniest I ve come across, however, they employ some Western temp staff (your typical 20-something English lad with no life plan). These guys just bring a wrong vibe to the place, only really appealing to your 18-25 female Australians.
We stayed 2 nights in a private room Pros: Room was clean, comfy bed, friendly staff, nice view from the main seating area right on the beach Cons: Poor value - expensive for what you get, the 2nd night our Aircon didn't work at all despite adequate power for lights and fan, far from town (trike is 100php to town), most expensive beer I've seen after 1 month in the phillipines, this all took away from "cool Hostel vibes" for us
Great place to stay if you want to meet some amazing people!
Clean room with a really comfortable bed. Staff are super friendly and helpful. We did two boat tours organised by the hostel which were so much fun. Great place to meet new people and have some good food.
The property is really good. The staf is really fun. The view is awesome.
We were very warmly welcomed. It’s def a party hostel but things quiet down after 11pm. We had a private room for the three of us and it was clean and cozy. Great ac. Delicious food. Tours are pricier than what you find in town but our guides made it worth the extra money. I would def stay here again
Terrible.
Need to make sure you understand where you are going to I have been to many hostels so I'm kinda set on my expectations. This is not your cool hostel. It is a party frat house. The management feels like its students running this place. If you want a party house- that's the place. Other than that- stay away.
Such a welcoming crew! Had an excellent stay. Boat tours were fantastic.
Outpost hostel is a pretty sweet place, and it makes you feel at home. The staff were really great and helpful. The location is not in the center of town but it doesn’t need to be, it’s right on the beach. The atmosphere is good, and easy to meet other travelers. The WiFi isn’t that great, but the only complaint! Stay here, you will love it!
One of the most well thought out hostel I ever been to! Awesome view for breakfast and sunset. The food is good! The beds are comfy with proper blankets and towels provided. Nailing the design of the toilet is a huge plus for me. Daily themed parties. The staffs are all really helpful and friendly! The island hopping tours are abit more pricey, but definitely worth it! No need to squeeze with the many other boats at the main harbors.
Nice beds! More of a party atmosphere if you are into it
Great location a few minutes drive south of El Nido on the peaceful Corong-Corong beach. Outpost is very lively and has activities every evening. They offer customised boat tours away from the classic ones A,B,C,D starting from El Nido, and can arrange motorbike and kayak renting, as well as van transfer on Palawan. The food is really good and big size plates. It is a bit noisy in the evening but you can go easily by foot to great nearby restaurants if you want to have a quiet dinner, and they shut off the music at 10pm.
The staff were 10/10! The day trips organised by the hostel are great fun, food at the restaurant is really good, great location for a beautiful sunset - all round the hostel made for a really good time at El Nido.
I was a solo traveller to the Outpost. It is a great location just outside of the town centre (100php tricycle ride). Great location for sunset scene where everyday they give out a free sunset shot. Very welcoming and friendly staff throughout my stay. Every night they have a different themed party night that really only goes until 10pm as they have neighbours to consider. You can either kick on and party in town or stay and chill in the common areas. The kitchen also cook great western and filipino dishes to satisfy your palate. The rooms were cleaned and beds made everyday. Shared bathrooms/toilets were very clean also. Overall, a great experience to have stayed here.
Excellent experience
Very friendly crew and helpfull throughout the stay. Good atmosphere in the hostel and easy to make friends at. Definitely recommend the tours and the guys at the tours. Bathrooms cleaned multiple times during the day and rooms feel clean too. Would come back again.
Great experience
I really enjoyed my time here. The hostel staff are really friendly. The food was good but a little more expensive than in El Nido town. It's a bit further out so a tuktuk is required to get places. The rooms and bathroom were well maintained and had lots of toilets and showers to accommodate everyone. The only downside for me was the aircon. Although the rooms were cold the constant aircon made everyone sick and most people I spoke to had sore throat, a cough or otherwise. For a party hostel it suits everyone as they shut off noise by 11 and everyone goes out or to bed. It was actually very quiet. I would come again but a few days is enough.
Pros: Stellar staff. They are really the best hostel staff I've ever experienced...they go out of their way to help you out, whether it's booking a tour or finding you an ATM. Cons: Common area cleanliness. A caveat is in order, however: typical of any hostel, the cleanliness of the common areas is largely dependent on the guests. The Outpost staff does their best to keep up, but that's a tall order when your clientele is largely comprised of drunken, sandy twenty-somethings.
Awesome place with a genuinely happy vibe, right on the beach, 15 min walk from Las Cabanas. Take the kayaks out for the day to Payaya Beach/7 Commandos. Only moans WiFi pretty bad and very overpriced but they can afford to because everyone wants to stay here when travelling to El Nido!!
Loved my stay at the Outpost Beach Hostel. If you’re looking for fun but not to the point where it gets gross with drunks everywhere the Outpost is the place!! Staff are helpful, super friendly and interactive with the guests to the point where they remember your name. We checked in right around 5:30pm when the party was getting started with 90s throwbacks and free sunset shots for everyone at the bar! Best first impression ever! Food here is one of the best that we had while we were in El Nido and reasonably priced. The only downfall is they don’t start serving breakfast until 8/8:30am and we were always up way earlier. There was no wifi in the rooms, you had to be in the common area to get a connection which is probably the only other con I can think of. If you’re planning on doing any tours- make sure to do them with the hostel. The staff that take you on the tours are so much fun and then you also know you’re going with a crowd that’s looking for a good time and the food was way better. The one we did with a tour company in town was a bit boring. Careful of the stairs down to the beach (how you get to the hostel) and the high tide at night. All in all if you have the opportunity to stay here and are looking for fun and to be around outgoing people- DO IT! Such a good time!
Be prepared to be blown away! Just stay here!
What a place to be! The beachfront property has amazing atmosphere especially at sundsets! The hostel is the party type so be prepared for rambunctious behaviour but not totally out of place for a hostel type accommodation. The food is also very tasty and servings are western sized if a little bit expensive from the Norm but hey you’re on holidays!
Staff great and location
It's great socialize whether you know them or not. Very friendly and staff was nicely
I miss Outpost Already
What can I say. the best hostel in the world. Best service, best people, best view. I have to go back. Thank you for making me feel so at home. You guys are the best. Best staff, life friends to me. Hope to see you soon.
Party 24/7
This place is amazing if you want to party and get drunk every night. That's fine, but they always have pop/ hip-hip blasting on the speakers, so during the day when you want to read a book or journal, you can't because the music is overpowering everything. Besides that, the cafe is good, the wifi is HORRIBLE, and the beds aren't all the comfortable. Nightlife at the hostel is good though.
Party hostel - perfect if that's what you want
Very clean hostel which is great but focused heavily on getting drunk every night. If this is your thing then it's a perfect place for you. Location is near Corong Corong about 3km out of town.
Great hostel ! If you love party , or even just chill and relax , there is everything there 👍👍
Overall a decent place. They do overcharge on many things such as tours and transport. If you walk to the town or down the street, you can get the same for cheaper.
Fun, lively, social hostel right on the beach!!
My fiancé and I decided to book a private room in El Nido for 3 nights. We loved our stay at Outpost! The walk down the stairs from the road was a bit difficult with our bags but once we saw the beautiful location it was all worth it! The hostel is less than a year old and in great condition. We loved having our own room but still being able to socialize when we wanted. There is a full bar and kitchen which makes it really convenient when you don’t want to go into town. Every night there is a different theme to help meet your fellow guests. The tricycle ride into town is about 50 pesos and takes about 10mins. The island Hopping tours they offer are also sooo fun! Would definitely recommend Outpost!
Epic
Great staff. So much fun & very welcoming as a solo traveller. Had an awesome time over New Years. Would definitely stay again & recommend to all my friends.
Super hostel - great food, pleasant rooms, very sociable for meeting other travellers and fantastic staff!
Great amenities and common areas, but everything (tours, food, drinks, etc.) seemed to be overpriced for the area.
Great hostel
Good place and good food at this hostel, people are very kindly!
Amazing place for backpackers single/couple to meet people and have a laugh. Food was amazing, staff friendly and room was clean. A little out of the way from the town but you can can a tricycle there. One negative, a few of us chatting at 11pm were told quite rudely to be quiet. So probably best to move on before this time.
Amazing Hostel
I was staying for 3 nights. This Hostel very Awesome. The location easy to reach beacuse I think all bus/shuttle will passed this hostel so everyone will not get lost. First time I was check-in I got a shoot of tequila. And If we booked the tour package with this Hostel we will get lot of awesome service, like free lunch, free beers, water and another shoot at the end of travel. I would like recomended to another travel who wants to look cheap price with excellent service with the warm hospitality. Bravo OUTPOST !!
Top !
Un super séjour, merci à toute l'équipe très accueillante !
Don’t go there if you don’t drink
The rooms were good, but they had no wifi. You will have to be in the common area which is not very sufficient. Also, I don’t drink, and I have stayed in a lot of party hostels before where they don’t care. Here the other guest didn’t care, but the staff apparently did. It’s was very excluding as all their games involved drinking and you won’t allowed to just drink water. Also they tried to force alcohol on me, and was making fun of me every time they saw me, which wasn’t fun at all. I told the others about it and at least the guests are supportive and not harassing like the staff.

Amazing accommodation.
It is truly an amazing hostel with the most incredible view where you can chill and have a meal BUT they don’t tell you how hard it is to get there with a suitcase. There also has been some mix up with the storage lockers, because they are not numbered my stuff got moved without my knowledge by a member of staff to accommodate another guest, and when I returned from a day tour I found some of my belongings were just lying on the floor and that wasn’t very nice.
