Friendly staff, well situated and a great hotel

My third time to visit sunny coast. Third time to stay at this hotel. Everything is so good. Had a free bottle of wine. The outdoor pool is amazing. Room is so spacious and staff so friendly. On the last day my flight is in the afternoon. I still got the pass to enjoy the pool after I checked out. I will come back, again!

Staff and Management were excellent. Local dining and entertainment was excellent. Condition of room was very dated and carpet was lifting in places. There was mould around the A/ Con vents and dust on top of fixtures. Cutlery was not clean and had to be washed before using.

Perfect location. Loved the balcony and outdoor pool area. Decor dated however.

It is an amaxing facility. I have stayed many times. A few rooms could do with a makeover. But location is the key

The bathroom needs an update as the shower recess very difficult to get into as it is quite high. The bed was extremely hard. The hotel staff were fabulous and the location.

I had asked for a high floor as i am a light sleeper, we arrived late friday night, checkin was easy went to tom to find we were on the bottom floor, room was outdated, bed was so hard we both woke with sore backs, all through the night we could hear the peole above us, even when they used the bathroom, i went to speak to the reception who then went to speak to the manager, we were told we would have to pay extra to upgrade which we did as couldn't spend another 3 nights on that bed, the next room was better.

The reception area was excellent and very helpful. The staff you did happen to meet were all friendly and helpful. The room itself had a pokie odd bedroom with a cupboard that had limited hanging space as drawers in the ways. There were good facilities as in kitchen/laundry/shower. The shower was off putting with the glass wall into the bedroom. Not sexy at this age. The WC smelt of urine and the timber slated blinds on the sliding door needed a good dusting especially on the back side. The room in itself looked liked it was just left over space and had limited view to the ocean but overlooked the the very noisy intersection of Lanning Street and the Esplanade. The motor bikes really revved in the nighttime to make it up the hill.

We stayed for 7 days in 2 bedroom apartment. Fantastic master bedroom, small 2nd room (for 2 teenagers). 2 bathrooms that were lovely and decent sized. Great balcony. Great location near beach and headland. Not too far to reach the flags for swimming. Great options for food. Quiet. Location. Very close to Coles. Only annoying thing is that they don’t service at all in 7 days and don’t leave you enough toilet paper, dishwashing detergent, dishwashing tablets and washing detergent to keep towels washed. Had to buy and waste supplies as we were flying home. Would stay again

This is our second stay at Mantra Mooloolaba but this time we were slightly disappointed. I thought I had booked the same type of room as last time (ocean superior)for the start of our stay upgrading to 3 bed after 4 days. but apparently I had not booked the superior room. The difference between ocean view and ocean view superior is no fixed cook top in kitchen a tiny fridge and no dishwasher. The manager was amazing and did end up shifting us to the bigger room we had booked earlier. This was not our major concern though what annoyed us was that the indoor pool was out of action for a week of our stay and this was one of the main reason we had booked mantra. We has no notification of this. The website stated there was renovations to the front building but no mention of the pool. To top it off the spa pool also broke down and was not heating and it rained most of the time so a warm spa or swim in indoor pool would have been lovely. Management didn’t even offer to reduce the charge for the one night upgrade, for the inconvenience of the pool being out of action. Although this annoyed us it would not stop me staying again as this hotel is very central and the option of the indoor and outdoor pool are great (when working),

Great location - everything walkable & easy. Plenty to see and do .. beaches, dining, tourist trips, river cruises, waterworld, supermarkets, etc. Safe & fun for all ages. Parking area a little hard to find and staff probably need to make this a bit clearer and use of hotel cards.

Perfect location, with easy access to the beach, shops, Coles and only a short walk from the aquarium. There is no need to move your car once you have parked it securely in the underground car park. The indoor pool was well used. The outdoor pool could benefit from solar heating. It can get a bit noisy down the main drag with car enthusiasts out to impress. We will be back as this is the perfect location to holiday.

I love staying here

I like the bathroom where have jacuzzi and I use a lot due to the raining season while I was there. The staffs are friendly and there is Coles just a walk g distance and so convenient. I like room because there is an access to the outdoor pool. I will introduce friends and I will go there again.

Property location was great (above supermarket and across the road from beach and park) and the apartment was clean and tidy. Was disappointed that the spa was broken and there was no communication before our stay that the indoor pool would be out of action for a period of time. We had a young child and was a little surprised that the huge tv wasn’t anchored to the wall, which was a bit of a hazard. Other than the above we were happy with our stay and would be back again. Thank you

There was a clean yet not so nice smell in the lobby not sure if it was from the carpets being cleaned recently or from something else. Property was very clean just outdated. Ceiling fan in the bathroom didn’t work well due to the buildup of dust not cleaned. However Great location friendly staff other than mentioned above it was a good experience.

Great motel, great location however construction noise in front of building was frustrating.

Unit had everything you need and was clean and quiet. However we were disappointed with the positioning of our unit being on level 1 and basically no ocean view.

Staff were good, unfortunately we paid the extra and booked the sea view room with balcony, we were allocated a room on level 5. We found the traffic and construction noise so loud we didn't really want to use it. That combined with the extremely dated rooms which appear to be last renovated in the 90's with a rattling air conditioning unit made the hotel a pretty significant disappointment. On the other end the hotel is in a great location with everything you need within a walkable distance and free parking at the hotel.

The location was perfect. The room was clean and had everything you needed. However the bedroom and particularly the wardrobe had an old smell. I wouldn’t want to hang my clothes in there.. Also given that bed had no doona or blanket I found blankets in the cupboard. The blankets were in a bag and do not smell fresh

Great indoor pool and sauna

The location was ideal and the local eateries were an easy walk. Facilites were generally good though starting show wear and tear.

Rooms are always good and clean. Wifi is still a problem.

One lift not working. Reports from staff advised lift not working since before Christmas

Hotel itself was wonderful, staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Our room was quite dusty, mainly on and around the windows & bedside tables.

Great location, however

Excellent location in central Mooloolaba , nice and clean with great ocean views from the Seaview side, unfortunately the property is located on a corner near a set of lights at the bottom of a hill so there can be quite a bit of loud traffic noise at times. Also our apartment and others we know about in the building have the shower located in the middle of the Spa Bath which can be quite hard to step over for people with mobility difficulties.

This property is in a great location. The apartment was lovely and had everything we needed including a washing machine. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We stayed 3 nights over new years and were impressed with proximity to everything, you are right next door to Coles but on the main strip. We didn’t even use our car! Great atmosphere for new years but were disappointed with the councils new rule for no midnight fireworks. Great unit apartment highly recommend to anyone looking for great place to stay in the heart of Sunny coast.

The property needs a renovation. At a minute mum a good clean - it was caked in dust and spider webs.

Geat location and happy staff

If you are going to charge full freight on your rooms, they should at least be clean

The room was really cold with the air con on and you couldn’t adjust the temperature. There was poor lighting, in the bathroom and bedroom, it was too soft. The verandahs are tiny as well. The position of the resort is great, close to all the shops, restaurants and very close to the beach. The western side of the building is on Venning Street which is very busy and noisy. I’d give this place a 4 star rating.

The bedroom was not located in a great area - you could hear everything going on in the hallway. Lounge was very small. Pillows uncomfortable. The unit was very clean. Great amenities and in a fabulous location!

Amazing views and a great place to stay

As always we love staying at this property, so central to everything, Beaches,dining,shopping and an amazing view from the one bedroom superior apartment, Great outdoor facilities and nothing is a problem, highly recommend. This was our fourth stay in the last four years.

Found it hard with having to have now information about using hi tec tv need to remember older people are not all tec savvy and a booklet would be nice

The location is perfect for families. Restaurants and patrolled beach with a few minutes walk.

Great location and staff are very helpful. The rooms are looking tired and need to be renovated. The bed was absolutely terrible and very very old. The mattress was very uncomfortable. The staff tried to fix this, however the owners need to replace them.

The only negative for us was the very small ( and very high ) balcony. We didn't have a very good feeling of using the balcony.

The property was in a great location and had a really amazing sea view. The room itself was large and had good facilities, but the bathroom was quite dated in terms of the style. There was a smell of cleaning fluid or damp when we arrived but that wore off during the stay. It was however clean and the hotel had a couple of pools to choose from, if the beach wasn’t for you (although the surf on the beach was pretty strong but good fun). Overall a good hotel in a convenient location.

wearing no shoes inside all afternoon and night til 9pm I ended up with black soles of my feet suggest carpet and tiles need a goo clean

Fabulous base for Mooloolaba great service

The room was clean with a nice view. It had basic cooking and utensils. The staff were friendly and helpful. Close to all restaurants etc. Negative - the noise from the road below. We were on the 11th floor and the air conditioning was hit and miss. Didn't like that the bedroom lit up when you turned the bathroom light on. Overall 3.5 stars

Fabulous location

Loved the entire stay. Spacious suite, seperate bedroom, beautiful view from the superior ocean view room.

Great view, small kitchen, washer dryer, and restaurants and grocery store next to hotel. Will be back!

Nice property and room. Enjoy having a mini kitchen in the room which provides options to cook or head to the restaurants. Helpful staff, incredible ocean view, and I plan on returning.

Overall good. The horrible part was the check in process. They set me up in a high floor and incredible view but did not tell anyone nor importantly me about the renovations. Right above me they were drilling tile. Yes immediately above my floor. I understand it needs to get done and the front office manager was blaming the ownership but it is still your responsibility to inform the in coming guests, where the noise is happening, not to tell the guests to take a walk on the beach for three hours until they finish especially;;y when I am staying in excess of 10 plus days, and be responsible in getting back with the guests that you so rudely set up in a room with a ton of noise on purpose too. Your management team needs to learn the responsibility of basic communication. Aside from this poor and horrible episode the hotel is great - clean room, friendly staff, incredible and walkable location, supermarket next door to the hotel, washer/dryer, dishwasher, and stove. Stop blaming ownership and should be proud that they are renovating the hotel so you may be successful in the future. Be responsible and pro[early communicate with the guests. You will be surprised how much more appreciative they will be.

We liked that everything was close. I didn’t like that I called and asked for a room with a spa and when we got there, there was no spa or even an ensuite. The bathroom was at the front and bedroom at the back and there was a portacot and extra towels a sheets meaning the people who were assigned this room got ours because they obviously complained about not having a bath. I suppose it’s first in best dressed.

Everything was good but,better block out is required so you can sleep not happy at all about the the amount of light that comes through the louvres at night with all the city light's outside.

Staff were friendly. Property is showing its age. Eg TV was old and small. Tiles were chipped in places. Our room was sold with ocean views but ended up on the first level with a view of the bbq area. Other than that it’s in a convenient location and has large rooms. Safe and has great staff who went out of their way. Would recommend.

Our ocean view room was on the 2nd floor where u could hardly see anything. If you stay here definatly ask them about what floor you are staying on. The shower had basically no water pressure which was a bit frustrating. Also the room layout was a bit wierd with the main bedroom immediately inside the front door. You could hear everything happening in guests rooms walking down the hallway

The games room was a disgrace. Wrong table tennis balls. Shocking bats. Disgraceful to charge to play on sub-standard equipment. TV service also a disgrace. After paying a high price to stay, we were offended at the "free" Wi-Fi which turned out not to be free. TV streaming was also charged, including YouTube. What a joke. Apartment was clean, but spartan.

Mooloolaba beach stay

Great location , easy access to the beach , shops and cafes. Rome was spacious with great views over the beach.

Staff were courteous informed and very polite respectful and helpful The only downside no heated pool spa or sauna

Weather was lovely and sunny. View from our room was beautiful looking at beach. Couch looked new but very uncomfortable, bed not so great either. Have stayed at Mantra at Tullamarine and bed was amazing and very comfortable. Probably wouldn't stay there again for the money.
