Stayed on a Saturday night, very nice apartment where we felt we could have stayed for a month!
Amazing loft in the trendy area of the old town. 5 minute walk to Notre Dame Basilica.
Beautiful and great service!
The staff is excellent and super attentive to all of my needs. They went above and beyond on several occasions and we were all very impressed. I love the space and it’s an amazing location and I will be back anytime. I’m in Montreal.
I feel like this was a home in Montréal that I’ve now stayed in twice and I’m so sad to leave. The staff have been amazing on numerous occasions and they continue to go above and beyond for us each day. I couldn’t recommend my experience more. Stay here. It’s amazing.
Comfortable large space with everything we needed for our stay in Montreal.
We loved it so much we came back a couple of weeks later and requested the same room. This is apt to become our home-away-from-home when we travel to beautiful Montreal.
Staff were super polite
Grateful
Our loft was spacious, bright, well equipped and very well located. The kind receptionist and the valet parking guy name Maxime were very warm, welcoming and understanding. Thank you!
deluxe loft was perfect blend of modern convenience in an antique loft in Old Montreal
Clean and comfortable. 3 flights of stairs so not for the mobily challenged. Good location.
Was disappointed with valet service
Great location and beautiful room. A definite go to place
Great location and would absolutely stay again. A couple of tiny quirks during our stay, and as noted, it was 3 flights up but it was well worth it for the location and the price. Also, the service we did engage with (valet, front desk) were all super nice and likely would have helped even more so, if we asked. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
We stayed for one night and it was amazing! The loft was very comfortable and homey- completely furnished and beautiful. The staff were all very kind and spoke good english. We would love to stay again!! Love from Vermont :)
Beautiful
The room was beautiful. The view was beautiful. There was nothing bad about the room except a leaky faucet! Amazing stay!
Amazing customer service
Staff was very professional and helpful!
large room great property
So pretty area.
Amazing hotel was my first time here and definitely not my last
The room was not as advertised.
This is a wonderful property in the old city (vieux Port) of Montreal. It is adjacent to a beautiful park on the St.Lawrence River. The “lofts” are in historic buildings renovated to modern style and function but with brick, stone, massive wood beams exposed architectural gems. Walking distance to Place des Arts for music, dance and cultural “spectacles”, China Town and the modern Montreal Metro is at your doorstep to take you all over Montreal. Great restaurants everywhere in the old city and French Canadian culture permeates. The staff are sophisticated but friendly and help make the experience truly unique. Montreal is one of the few truly bilingual cities in the world.
We loved this property. Lofts have so much warmth and character. The reason you come to old Montreal. The staff are amazing. Made us feel at home. Everyone from check in, valet, to restaurant and then check out all amazing. Highly recommend
I would definitely recommend and return our stay was wonderful
Beautiful Loft Stay
The place was beautiful and cozy. It was well appointed and had everything needed for an extended stay. I enjoyed my time there.
Spacious loft, lovely stay.
We will be back!
If I could score higher I certainly would. Our stay was exceptional. The property was beautiful. We stayed in the Lofts. Staff went above and beyond to be make our stay perfect. I would like to especially mention Thierry your valet who went out of his way always with a smile. Bravo Thierry. Jim and Rachelle
Feels like a real neighbourhood and it feels like home
The loft was great with plenty of room and character, but the staff went above and beyond and were the star of the show. Highly recommend!
Clean, comfortable, well designed and furnished. Steps away from the best Montréal offers.
Great property very nice I would stay again
Accomodation was spacious and clean and the location was excellent for everything Old Town Montreal.
Amazing
We had an amazing stay! The staff couldn’t of been more helpful and friendly, the room was amazing, and the location can’t be beat!
Unique experience in old montreal. location perfect to get to shopping and old montreal restaurants. restaurant below apartment was noisy at night, only complaint. you have to be able to walk up multiple stairs no elevator. Bellman brought bags up those stairs. apartment was very cool. enormous bathroom full kitchen with breakfast bar full seating for 6 at a table. bed super comfy. view of street below. can not open windows for air which was my only issue because I like fresh air and place had a smell that never went away. needed to be aired out. had original stone walls and beams unique experience will use again!!
Had a small issue with the smell of foul odour. They quickly took it upon themselves to relocate us to another loft. Great service! Very courteous and accommodating staff. Would definitely recommend!!!
Solid choice to stay in Montreal
Nice place in the heart of Old Town Montreal.
Great spot!
Great location was very disappointed with the room itself. Floor was so slanted the suitcase would roll away. No frills ended up switching to main partner hotel Auberge de Vieux Port which was fabulous and they were very accommodating with excellent service and beautiful rooms
Awesome Stay
Great time away, studio feeling,
Anniversary Trip
This was such a unique property, and we had the pleasure of staying one night in the Hotel and the rest of our 4 days in the Lofts. Our building was above the Vieux Port Steak House, so super close to everything. We stayed in Loft 711, which was the top floor, and if you haven't read any of the other reviews, NO ELEVATOR! We didn't mind, and the hotel bellhop helped us with our bags all the way up! Our loft was cute, comfy bed, perfect little kitchen NO OVEN, which we didn't read ahead of time when we bought a beautiful quiche at the market and couldn't make it! Totally our fault. The TV is NOT a smart TV, but has everything you need to bring a firestick along should you want to. The hotel also is so accomodating to this property, from bottled water, extra towels,, etc. each time we called the front desk we had what we needed within minutes! I also mentioned it was an anniversary trip for us and we were welcomed with a card and a bottle of wine, such a nice touch! Our only complaint, was that being on the main street where shops and restaurants are, it's quite loud once late night crowds are out, but nothing a sound machine couldn't fix. Overall, we loved it, and would absolutely stay again!
The atmosphere is super nice super cozy. The staff is nice. The drinks are good. Loved my stay.!
The property was very unique. Three buildings with the lofts and easy access to the main building! Restaurants were delicious and staff was impeccable! Will definitely keep in mind for future holidays!
I recently stayed at Lofts du Vieux-Port, and I must say the experience was delightful. The loft accommodations were lovely—spacious, stylish, and well-appointed, making it a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. Additionally, the restaurant within the hotel was fantastic. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the menu offered a great variety of delicious options. Every meal I had was superb, and the service was attentive and friendly.Overall, I highly recommend Lofts du Vieux-Port for anyone looking for a comfortable stay combined with excellent dining options. I look forward to returning!
Loved the taste of old Montreal in this historic building!
The Lofts Du Vieux-Port is an incredible property. I had a penthouse loft for 7 nights and absolutely loved the loft and the surrounding area. It's right in the heart of old town, seconds away from some of the best restaurants and bars in Montreal. You're also only a few minutes walk to the waterfront and metro. The lofts have all undergone recent renovations and are beautifully decorated and equipped with a full kitchen, rain shower in the bathroom and huge lounge area etc. It'll be the only place I stay, when I'm next in town.
This has been one of the best places I think we have ever stayed. We arrived absolutely exhausted from our travel and before we were fully checked in, they had our bags taken across to our room. The house restaurant staff was so accommodating. I will visit the city just to stay here again!!
The property was in an old building but had been very nicely renovated. It was so nice to have a small eating area, and a small kitchen as well as a king sized bed. The bathroom was spacious with a large jacuzzi tub.
What a unique experience. The accommodations were excellent and a great location.
The property location is good but it is noisy, particularly if the nearby bars are playing music on outdoor speakers. The room was fine but the king bed was very very bad - no box spring, a large hump in the center and noticeable springs made for very uncomfortable sleeping. The small kitchen was fine but there was no information in the room about where to go for some basic groceries, coffee for the machine, etc. if you forget something, there isn’t a convenient place to purchase groceries or toiletries. No basic information in the room about hotel amenities or services. This is not like a typical hotel in any way, more like an Air B&B with below average communication. Room was very clean but lacked things like towel bars in the bathroom, adequate lighting, etc. Did not mind the steps in and out of lofts, but they are steep.
Loved everything about this hotel, except climbing the stairs.
Fantastic stay in Old Montreal
Fantastic stay, the best we've had in our 2 week trip. Super attentive staff, slick check in, valet parking, and right in the middle of Old Montreal. Hard to fault- a great space in a modernised old building, with fridge and self catering kitchenette.
VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL STAFF
It was great overall
Great location, nice staff, loft living room furniture was not very clean.
Unique property right in the heart of Old Montreal. Extremely welcoming, valet parking attendants helpful and friendly. A very special place to stay while exploring beautiful Old Montreal.
It was in a perfect location. It was spacious with a refrigerator, Dish washer, microwave, stove. The bathroom had a jacuzzi that fit two comfortably. The bed was also large and comfortable. Handy valet parking. Perfect for us although it was up a few flights of stairs. We’ll return!!!
Great bar and restaurant Gaspar in the main hotel building. Our loft was a couple blocks from the main hotel, which was unexpected. Also unexpected was a substantial “departure” charge. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable. Everyone associated with the hotel was friendly and helpful. We would return.
Great location. Not accessible
4 night stay during fall. Great location, helpful staff. Only access is stairs (no lift). Clothes washing shared between 10 lofts.
A fabulous & spacious loft apartment with character and charm, in the perfect location in old Montreal. We had the 2-bedroom 2-bathrooms apartment which was excellent. It was also great being just around the corner from the hotel. They were so helpful and also topped up our supply of coffee pods and milk when we ran out.
We stayed in the loft apartment for almost a week. The rooms were beautiful with natural stone and brick walls complete with kitchen sitting area and of course a comfortable bed. We enjoyed our Street View and found all of the services to be exceptional. The staff was attentive and exceptional. The area was perfect for exploring old Montreal we definitely would return and hopefully be able to get the same accommodation. The only drawback is that the building had no elevator and the stairs we're daunting. This staff carried our bags and any groceries where other objects to and from our vehicle to the room. The underground parking was expensive and it was always valet not taking very long and they went out of their way to make things easy for us. The restaurants were delicious and we loved the old school look to the interior and the buildings themselves. You couldn't be better located visiting old Montreal. Lofts du Vieux-Port runs a first class operation, I can't imagine who wouldn't be pleased staying here walking out the door into the street and the nightlife and yet only a stairway away from a cozy elegant accommodation. It doesn't get better than this thank you again Lofts du Vieux-Port for making our visit to Montreal as magical as you're beautiful city. We definitely will return XXOO
Loved the loft. Very roomy. Right off the main street was very cool. Being an old building, stairs were steep for us seniors. Homelessness is not what we want to experience on vacation in a tourism location. At night, they would yell - at what?? in French! - and wake us up. There were some once-upon-a-time beautiful closeby parks that we would have liked to enjoy but the tents and vagrants frightened us away. Not a bad/aggressive as Seattle - yet. If you don't clean them up, move them somewhere else, they'll spoil your beautiful city like they have here.
The Lofts are comfortable, well appointed and convenient. The bed and linens were excellent. You can smell the steakhouse from below a bit but it wasn't too distracting.
Great experience & stay!
The loft room was very spacious and comfortable. A lovely studio apartment right in the heart of Old Montreal.
Service is impeccable. And the rooms are very comfortable and spacious. Would definitely stay again.
Had a great stay! Beautiful lofts and great location
The loft was great and the location was great for walking around the old Montreal area. The lofts are locations in a different building which is a short walk (maybe 1 min). Walk up - no elevators. Staff was helpful and friendly. Would recommend.
What a beautiful place. Will definitely stay again. The only problem is there are no elevators.
Love lofts!
Arrival to the Auberge to then be escorted to the Lofts du Vieux-Port location was relatively simple even with busy-ness in the area. Staff were attentive, kind, courteous, and went above and beyond at every interaction. The location was perfect. I was prepared for the multiple flights of stairs and it was a bit of comic relief after a day of walking to have the final 5-stories to bed. Lol. Our loft (709) had the brick facade but not stone as seen in some photos. It was well set up, spacious, and not to noisy. We faced the steakhouse terrace. There was a smoky smell that I’m pretty sure comes from the steakhouse (it wasn’t cigarettes) but it wasn’t overpowering. There were some oddly finished items (like electrical tape and caps showing on the wiring for the under cabinet lights) but overall we were very pleased with the space for the price paid and location. Considering the age of these buildings - these oddities are to be expected. The bed was very soft. The air conditioning worked almost too well. lol. The kitchen gave us options for eating and keeping leftovers from all the great restaurants. The shower had the nice multi-jet option. The shower products smelled divine. I would most definitely stay either at the Auberge or in the lofts again. I think for me, the customer service was what really stood out.
Excellent location! Perfect for walking Old town Montreal, close to many restaurants and the port. It also was nice to have a kitchen with everything we needed. There is no elevator in this building so a lot of stairs to climb. Hotel staff were very cooperative with getting us a early checkin. Would definitely stay here again.
I loved the atmosphere of the place.
Great loft. Clean and spacious. It was a bit on the louder side right outside the building though.
The loft was gorgeous. The area of town was bustling, but it was still quiet inside the apartment. It had a lot of room, and we were able to sleep four comfortably. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The room was clean and well stocked with kitchen items if you wanted you could buy grocery and feed yourselves. But there are so many restaurants in the neighbourhood. We would absolutely stay there again.
The rooms are nice.
Nice loft nice area Bed was comfortable but pillows sucked
A great find
It was a beautiful unit in a great location, close to lots of Montreal tourist attractions. Very modern and spacious with a good level of luxury. The kitchen was well set up had we wanted to use it. Our only issue was that we hadn't realized the room would not be cleaned daily or provided with new towels (likely our fault for not realizing this)
Wonderful
Wonderful accommmodations. Comfortable bed. Spacious updated suite. Excellect restaurant on premises. Excellent location. No elevator which was ok with us but only thing that could be a deterent for some.
Great location. Yes, we knew about the stairs! The only thing I would suggest the property adding is a secondary mirror in the living space. The singular small one in the bathroom isnt enough.
The lofts are spacious and very hip. Great location too!
I'll definitely stay here again
The property is in great location. The staff is great. There is no elevator. We stayed in the highest floor so it is quite a start climb every time. No VIP treatment was offered but the staff were great.
This is an amazing property. I travel alone for business and feel so welcome and safe. The customer service is amazing above and beyond. The beds are comfy and the lofts a home away from home.
Best and worst location. Best for view, loft itself, surrounding . Worst for the late night noise from downstairs bar well past midnight, every night. The lofts are in a separate building above a bar. So no easy access to the main hotel hospitality. Also it has no elevator. So not for people with less than decent physical fitness.
We stayed in the Lofts around the corner from the hotel in 704 and had a very large studio with a nice kitchen and bathroom with a large walk in shower (a bonus!) as well as a fireplace. The loft overlooked the outdoor patio in the rear of the Vieux Port Steakhouse as well as the a street window providing lots of natural light. The huge comfortable king bed was a joy to sleep in. There was a large flat screen TV over the fiire place with a sofa and chair for TV watching and a breakfast area in a corner. The only issue we had with the loft was with the water supply in the shower. The water pressure was excellent and there was tons of hot water but when one of the other lofts flushed their toilet or ran water anyone in the shower was treated to a blast of VERY hot water. This was reported to the management but is not something that could be remedied during our stay. I hope that it will be dealt with expeditiously as the Lofts are wonderful otherwise and I would look forward to staying there in the future.
Great space at the lofts!
We were on a family trip - me, my mum, sister, and 2 children under ten. Perfect stay. We were able to have a leisurely morning and large enough space to play card games and relax at night. Great location. Right in heart of old Montreal. Staff were amazing. Both restaurants were delicious. Definitely recommend for group or family travel.
If you want old Montreal then stay here.
It was great.
Great location
What a fantastic place to stay!
Long weekend stay
Note that the lofts are about a half a block away from the hotel and they sit on the top floors of the restaurant (expect some noise). Also note that there are no elevators in the apartment building that’s about 4 stories. The location is wonderful, if you can overlook the negatives.
Loft had no elevator which was not isentified at booking. Multiple treks up five flights of stairs with our pet.
It was the best location...right in the middle of everything! Super friendly and helpful staff and a spacious apartment. Recommend the rooftop terrace for the view!
This is a charming place to stay downtown Montreal. I stayed in a loft and felt like I was in Paris. The customer service is amazing. I always receive a bottle of wine.
A great hotel with probably the best location in all of old town Montréal. Excellent service and very nice hotel overall.
This property is great. Very busy at night but when you stay in the loft you can’t hear the noise at all. The surrounding area was stunning!
Would have rated this 5star but for the situation directly above a very busy restaurant - where we ate and it was good - but the noise in our room on Saturday night was pretty deafening. Not a choice for those who want quiet!
