Facility was clean and pool was great , staff friendly Bathroom sink had trouble draining bathroom sink hot water very low flow. Kitchen sink hot water very low flow When running dishwasher , door leaked
Small reception, but really nice clean hotel.
Clean and very convenient location!
The rooms were comfortable and reasonably clean. The furniture was very old and tattered. There were tears in the chairs, the couch was SO worn, and the beds creaked/rattled loudly every time someone shifted at all. The place is definitely overdue for an update! The pool is tiny and the "deck" out of our room was too. Overall it was fine. Pretty spacious, close to many things. Nothing special but adequate.
The hotel staff were great. The room was awful. Old, uncared for, dirty and very well used carpeting that smelled. Hood fan, fireplace and dishwasher were broken. The room condition in general was old and looks like they went to an estate sale to decorate the walls. There was so much dust build up behind anything I moved. For example, I Dropped my phone under the bed and it looks like the beds haven’t been moved to vacuum under them in years. Same with the overhead fans and lights or any furniture. clearly only surface cleaning being done. Dust everywhere. For the price, it was awful and I have stayed at higher end places for the same so I expected a bit better than what we got.
Comfortable, unusual aircon system
Our unit was a loft on two levels. It did not say this in the description of the property. It did not say this in the confirmation email. And, we were not told this at check in. I would not have rented this unit if I had known as I have mobility issues. The front desk told me that all of the one bedroom units are multiple levels. Expedia should say this in their description when renting a one bedroom unit.
Close to the highway and clean property
Quite and walkable to local restaurants. Loved the jacuzzi area and pool, friendly staff
We had a great stay in a two bedroom condo. The only thing you should know is that the air conditioning unit is a portable unit in the living room. Evenings were cool so we had no issues but it could be a concern in hot weather months. The unit was well stocked and the pool and hot tubs were excellent. There were a few evenings where underground parking in our building was full and we had to use the underground parking in the two other buildings. On street parking was always full also. Easy walk to shops, Elevation Place, centre town, and easy access to the hwy. would recommend and would return!
Only thing we didn't like was the noise the mattresses made each time a person moved or rolled over. Sounded like air mattresses being rubbed together. Very noisy and disturbed sleep.
Really positive stay at the Lodges at Canmore
Amazing location. Canmore is a delight and less crowded than Banff but close enough for all the local attractions. The lodges are perfectly serviceable but not recommended if you are looking for a five star experience. The pool is adequate, there is indoor car parking. The staff are very helpful and helped me retrieve some items that I had accidentally left in the room.
The property itself is very nice, has swimming pool and three hot tubs. Good parking. Rooms comfortable but the floors and carpets are so dirty that walking in socks or barefoot made the soles dark within minutes. Defiythis needs improvement. The area is quiet, 1 from city centre and good restaurants nearby. Good form families and groups. Cheaper than Banff for sure. Tons of trails in the area, car is a must. The bed covers didn’t have the duvet cover just like sand with some sheet, cover and sheet, all tangles up when you sleep, weird style… I wonder if they change only the sheets or wash/change the bed covers as well. The covers did not smell fresh only the sheets and that was making me uncomfortable.
The pictures online were not at all what the room was. Very dated appliances, old bedding, terrible carpet. No outside table. Unpleasant smell throughout the rooms/condo.
Clean but dated
Apartment was clean, but furniture and mattress could seriously do with an upgrade.
We were put into a loft room which I originally did not book due to mobility issues. I have difficulty going up and down stairs so this was concerning. The desk clerk managed to switch us to a one level room in one of the other buildings which was appreciated since there were no vacant rooms left in the current building.
Great property, lovely views
Great property, very spacious, very well equipped kitchen, underground parking, good wifi, comfortable bed and sofa bed. The only thing we could fault was the cleanliness - the bathrooms were not cleaned properly before our stay.
Cute suite!
The unit we had should be updated: bare minimum number of mugs provided for 4 people, hangers provided seemed like second thought, blanket provided for the sofa bed was insufficient for the winter weather (even with 3 layers it was still too thin), sofa bed mattress needs to be replaced (worn out mattress and you can feel the springs), towels provided upon check in were insufficient for 4 people.
Completely satisfied with our stay. The Manager went the extra kilometre to make sure our needs were met. We will be back.
The staff were excellent, considerate and accommodating. We loved our two bedroom suite that we shared with our dog, Marley, we swam in the pool and sat in the hot tub, and walked 7 mins to the restaurant to meet our friends. We would go back in a heart beat❤️
Multistorey with views to the mountains. Would stay here again and spend more time exploring canmore and surrounding areas.
The rooms was not clean, something splattered all over walls. Hotel was freezing when in halls.
It is a great place ,near the downtown area, mountain views from our suite. The only thing is. Udate***the carpets . That is all.
Overall good but in pictures it’s shown different bedroom settings but in real it’s different plz confirm before u book .
The property was fine however the portable air-condition unit when we awoke had leaked on the floor (big puddle). When we told the front desk they sent someone over to pick up the unit and said they would bring another one, they never did.
Mediocre for price being charged.
Stayed in a 2 bedroom unit - beds are extremely uncomfortable with dips in the middle. Two pillows provided per bed and pushback was given when asked for more. Bedding is not a hotel standard. No AC. Kitchen was well equipped. Units are tired. I travel frequently for work and this unfortunately missed the mark. The comfort is not there for the price being charged per night.
Great location. Spacious rooms. Indoor parking can sometimes fill up, which then forces you to find street parking. Pool is located in main building, so if you are in any of the other buildings you will have to cross over to access it.
Asked for 2 rooms with 2 queen beds, got 1 queen bed & a room with 2 x singles... Otherwise really good...
Great place to spend vacation. Clean and very organized. Location also amazing!
When we checked in it was easy and fast and I liked that we got to check in early. We checked out our room and noticed right away that the tile floors were filthy along with the carpets. We carried on unpacking and tried to hang clothes up but there were only 6 hangers. The kitchen had everything we needed except oven mitts. I pulled out a dinner plate and it had jam and hair on it. There were no screens on the windows so we couldn’t get a nice breeze in the suite unless we left the balcony door open, which we did because there were absolutely no bugs- so a plus. ( There’s a portable window a/c in the bedroom) The bed was comfortable. The bathroom tile surround had splashes of shampoo residue and the tile floor was dirty also. There was a patio set on balcony but the umbrella sat in the corner broken. We could have used it in the afternoon/evening when the sun was facing us but I let the front desk know and they said they don’t carry extra umbrellas because the suites are privately owned. The toilet paper was AWFUL. Overall these rooms are set up nicely but it would be great to have them cleaned more thoroughly in between guests. We enjoyed our stay and the view of the trees and mountains.
The place wasn’t clean well. Not enough bedding for 5 people. The one toilet didn’t work well. Tried to get someone to fix it and no one got back to me.
Check in was easy and front desk personnel were friendly. The room did not warrant the price for the rental. The furniture is dated and the couch and chair in the seating area are not comfortable. The shower head is ok, there might be more pressure if the valve switch from the tub to the shower head worked better. There was an awful smell in the hallway, smelled like spoiled milk or vomit that lingered for two days.
Enjoyed the location, close to downtown, quiet and our girl loved the pool!
Warm, personable and professional customer service. Clean, comfortable and cozy suite in a wonderful location.
Canmore Getaway
The unit was clean but wear and tear was notable. Nice kitchen space. Bed was firmer than we'd like.
Properly is more like a small apartment. It would be great for skiers who want to make own meals etc… we were expecting more of a hotel like property. The furniture was not as expected and overall based on price we expected more. Towels were very rough and old and one pillow had no pillow case. Bedside lamp was very cheap and fell apart as soon as shade was touched. Bed was very high and fan above bed was too close to the bed. Overall mediocre experience at best.
We stayed with our family in a two bedroom suite while we skied in Banff. Perfect suite and great location.
Very clean everythhing we needed was in our room.
Pullout the worst I’ve ever seen
Booked one bedroom with a pullout for 2 adults and 2 kids and the pullout was so bad it was unusable. Springs sticking through the mattress. No extra bedding, only 3 towels, McDonald’s garbage bag in our garbage when we first arrived. Too small of a suite and very overpriced. Will never rent here again! These units are privately owned, the owners need to take more responsibility for their suites.
Not clear pool is outdoor only in description, fitness room was also not heated. Thermostats in rooms were not working, luckily fireplace threw off heat. Hallway draft extremely cold and entered into door. All huge factors in enjoyment considering it was -30 for our 4 day stay.
We had freezing rain while we were there and the sidewalks and entrance to lobby were so icy that everyone was falling. The staff did not have adequate deicer to handle the situation. Our unit was very poorly stocked for using the kitchen. No pot holders, cutting board, Keirig, and the absolute minimum dishes to survive on. Many common utensils and items usually found in a condo kitchen were not here. Bare minimum of everything.
The property was clean but a little run down. A bathroom door was missing a hinge pin, the control knobs for the in-floor heat were missing and the knob on the dryer was broken. Luckily I always carry a multitool when travelling so I was able to get this working, but the place could use some maintenance. Overall, the underground parking and in-suite laundry makes it a decent place to stay for a winter getaway with the family.
the suite was wonderful, it was like a bi-level split with 2 bedrooms and a full kitchen. very spacious and relaxing. The rooms and floors could have been cleaned better, seems like no one cleaned the room for months with hair balls all over the carpet. Wish they let you know the main pool and hot tub was out of service too. disappointing to find out when you arrive. overall great amenities however needs cleaning and better communication.
condo was clean on the surface but dont think that the floors were washed in awhile and the bbq was so dirty it lit on fire! tried to tell the staff at the front desk, but no one really seemed bothered to much about it.
It is a little tired looking but that is ok. We had reserved for 5 people but there were no sheets or blankets for the pullout so we were able to get some assistance from front desk but we had to find the sheets and pillow cases ourselves and there were only thin blankets for covers. did like that there is a bbq and 5 appliances and the beds were fine.
The unit that we rented was not clean. Carpets were very dirty and we needed to wear shoes. Had to cover couches and kitchen chairs with towels because they were so dirty/stained. Dishwasher needs repair - would run and not stop. Beds were comfy. Beautiful view. We used pool and hot tub daily. Great location.
The location was convenient to downtown Canmore, hiking trails, dining, and Banff.
We loved the location, great food options close by as well as close to downtown Canmore. Parking garage was on site and fine, just a tad small to get in/out of the garage space for our rental mini van. We must have not read correctly because we thought there’d be a/c and there wasn’t! They did leave us fans, but not newer ones with better cooling capabilities. There was a third fan we found in the closet but it was broken. We managed fine but sleeping was hot at night and hanging out in the living room/kitchen area was uncomfortable. If you don’t care about that, it’s a great place to stay!
Very average property but bot worth the crazy summer fees with that they charged. Clean and spacious but value for money is not present. Also some outlets were not working and having to use 3 fans around the bed at night to stay cool did not sit well with me. Would not go back
The layout was spacious but be aware that in our suite at least, the master bedroom room with the queen bed is open to the room below. If you plan to have anyone sleep on the pullout couch, you will not have privacy. The kitchen/living room area was very good. There was a washer and dryer with soap provided, which was very handy. There were 2 bathrooms, which was also very convenient. Each building has a hot tub, and access to a pool at one of the buildings. The carpet was a bit old/somewhat stained but not too bad.
Home from home
Overall this is a wonderful location if you’re looking for a self catering type experience. Well maintained facility and lovely unit with all the amenities one needs. Some issues at check in were addressed in a timely manner by Gary, guest services manager. Appreciated that he took these issues seriously.
Location was good. Liked that we could use other hot tubs in complex. Wished hot tub opened much earlier than 10 am. Always full at night. Didnt like finding a previous guests used towel in the closet...yuck. Blinds were very dusty and air conditioning was portable unit in living room. Bedrooms were too warm.
I would not recommend staying in our suite. The rug was fraying and stained, the furniture was tired and broken. The dishwasher was not working as the dishes that were put away were still dirty and needed rewashing, the tube televisions had poor reception, the bathroom breaker popped plunging the bathroom into darkness even though there was nothing plugged in. To turn on the tv you had to flick a switch on the other side of the room. The linens were stained and We think we got chemical burns from the pool.
I like the amenities- pool, hot tub, BBQ on your balcony. Our suite could have used a thorough dusting and definitely some new dishes.
Friendly staff at the front desk, good basic necessity, good location.
Bed sheets weren't changed before our arrival, there was hair all inside the bed and sheets from previous renter. Paid for a double queen room and got a queen and 2 twin beds, place was not cleaned to the highest standard, one twin bed was on the heat register and could've started a fire.
Poor experience
The carpet splitting at various joints, dishwasher door came loose, laundry machine was working, the wooden blinds on the windows were broken. Not acceptable from our point of view.
Maintenance
We had a great time. But the property needs some maintenance. In our room, the washer is not working and it is missing a knob. Three of the dining chairs were unsafe to use as they were wiggling and almost detached. The flush is almost gonna break as there was a crack. There is also no ice machine in the building
Very spacious, clean accommodations! We would definitely come back!!
Staff were great. It’s a good property for travelling with kids.
Great for family
The room was perfect for our stay with 3 kids and 2 adults. Beds were definitely too firm and not very comfortable, the pull out sofa bed was terrible also but the room fit us all which was nice. Pool was a hit with the kids, just wish it was a bit warmer and the hottubs were bigger so more people could fit in. Was nice to have a full kitchen. The lodge is located in a great location and overall was a nice stay.
Hotel doesn't ensure what you pay for.
The room was the wrong one. We pre-paid for 2 queens and got 1 queen and 1 kids bunk bed. I thought they would have fixed it, but told us it wasn't possible. The reimbursement was a joke and I was told 50.00 USD dollars but was given 50.00 CAN dollars. Which wasnt comparable to what the rooms value was worth, split between the 4 nights stay. The beds looked dirty and not cleaned since i awoke to have hair on me that was not mine. The dvd player was broken and couldnt play the supplied dvds that were there. The tv was old and the audio levels were appauling since it wasnt calibrated to have balanced audio. The kitchen was nice. Had the proper utensils and cooking pans. The showers have little pressure behind them and the shower heads were cheap with no adjustability. The hot tub was nice and the pool was okay. Overall, if i got what i had payed for i would be happier. Instead, i was forced to deal with the hotels mistakes.
Loved how each building had the outdoor hot tubs&main one had pool, unfortunately they close when it hits -20. We liked having the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom, lots of space & very family friendly. Room wasn’t overly clean but we did have a great stay.
One of the most friendliest and helpful check ins I’ve ever experienced. Amazing staff and everything in condos in great shape.
Beautiful views, laundry facility, kitchen, nice clean rooms. Just like being at home!
Excellent value for money, a great, quiet suite that was very well equipped. Nice view of the mountains. I would have welcomed more stringent Covid-19 restrictions, such as registration for the gym or hot tubs/pool, since Alberta had already tightened its restrictions at the time of our stay. All guests were compliant with masks, however.
We were surprised by the layout or our premium one bedroom suite. We ended up with a loft type suite and it was great. The kitchen was perfect for what we needed and it's a quiet building. The employees we encountered were polite. Would definitely stay here again.
Pool and hot tubs are awesome!
Liked ths separation between living room and bedroom. Large kitchen and patio with bbq and a heated outdoor pool
Our room was generous in size. The kitchen was well equipped. Loved watching the parade of dogs on their daily walks from our deck and enjoyed the bunnies too.
Our first room wasn’t very good the place was not very clean we talked to Gary at the front desk he was awesome he got us a different room and refunded some money very easy to work with
Facility was clean and loved the room BUT the carpets throughout living room and bedrooms was disgusting! Old, filthy looking with stains everywhere! Same with the couch; had a suspicious stain on it which made me decide not to sit on it. Surely the Lodges at Canmore can afford to replace these disgusting carpets with a more sanitary choice such as vinyl flooring? Oh and maybe steam clean or replace the couch? Other than that, everything was nice.
Very beautiful location and the place was great and spacious
Nice price, way better than a hotel, and easy access to roads.
I really enjoyed our stay here! The suite was nice and clean! The pool was a lot of fun!
Overall we loved this place. We had a kitchenette which was well-equipped and clean and we even had a bbq on the balcony which was fantastic! Everything felt modern. We loved the pool and used the fitness suite too. We liked that there was a strict 10pm quiet policy since we have young kids. Only 2 issues: 1 - our tv didn't work and they couldn't get it fixed during our stay, and 2 - the carpets really needed a clean. There was red pasta sauce on ours and it felt a bit grubby. But, we would definitely stay there again as overall it was great!
They charged me extra $100 later on not sure why and it’s definitely not worth anything over $150 a night Plus too many demands you have to this you have to do that I think it’s stupid they charge enough to cover everything
Great location and amenities for a family or group stay. In suite laundry was convenient.
Very clean and check in was efficient!
It was very clean and a lot of room for family of 5 with the 2 bedroom.
I liked the affordable price
We really enjoyed our stay at the Lodges of Canmore. We were in the same building as the front desk and pool. That was convenient. We were lucky enough to book a pool time, that we had to go to the front desk at 8am to book. Pool was great. We had a 2 bedroom condo, was perfect.
Good accommodations. Highly recommended.
Facility is good, suite was adequate
The facility is in a great location - a decent walking distance to main street and a short drive to hiking trails and activities. The facility general areas are well maintained. Our suite was adequate but could use some updating - some kitchen utensils are well worn and at their end. The beds are past their prime and could be updated - the queen mattress sags badly and doesn't sit well on the base.
We had a great stay. Easy to checkin and out and the room was great. A little warm, but not unmanageable.
We were upgraded to a 2-bdrm unit, which was great for our 3-person family. Loved the cathedral ceilings, dual fireplace and mountain views.
The rooms were great. We had a 2 bedroom. The living room was very modern. The location is grwat.
Average stay
Pretty good overall. Unit assigned was a bit dated but ok for a one-night / weekend stay. Lovely views. Service at front desk was very good.
Big thanks to Josh for quickly replying and addressing our issue. We were comfortable on the 2BR room he provided.
Well appointed . Beautiful view. Comfortable beds and nice bathroom
Due to pandemic....not able to enjoy the amenities and hang out with family and friends that book the same time as well. And also earthquake that happened that wasn’t fun. Overall good place to stay.
Didn't like checkin process. We tried checking in early and was told desk guy will reach out when room is ready. Guy didnt reach out and did not pass the order to the next guy on shift. He did apologize to say that the system did not show any clean rooms but felt like an excuse because the other guy couldve informed us when a room is ready.
Clean. Lots of room. And an actual fully stocked kitchen.
Hotel room was beautiful! We will definitely stay again!
The condo was very nice & very cleaned... Kitchen is missing scissors and a cutting board... Qutie time is 10pm to 7am and it was super noisy at all hours of the nignt... Parking garage doors are super small... Need to take your time with you have a bigger vehicle... Shaw cable doesnt work very well, we were thinking it was the the wi-fi, it was not very good wi-fi at all... There is laundry and a bbq that I didnt notice in the add... That was nice to have the laundry but wpuld have been nice to know aboit the bbq so we could have planned a bbq meal night on our stay..!
Premium was not premium...
Staff were great, room we had was definitely not premium or maybe was 20 years ago when the property was built but pull out bed had destroyed the floor so carpet and underlay dust or fibre was getting everywhere and a compartment in the ceiling (we were 4th floor) had come out and attic insulation was blowing in. Shower was original and rusty with possible mold growing on the shower curtain (easily replaced). Heated underground parking was great though!
The suite was very clean however the linens were old and extremely worn. The towels were thin and stringy and the bed sheets were very old and thread bare. There was only one tea towel in the kitchen and no wash cloth. This unit is in desperate need of new bathroom towels, dish cloths and sheets!
Location was good, nice view of the mountain form our unit. Overall cleanliness was ok however the ceiling fans were filthy, and the dining table has has grooves in it as part of its design as that food stuffs and dirt are trapped in and felt very unsanitary. I’m sure even if housekeeping staff were so inclined to try to clean it they would not be able to as I had no success in cleaning it to in effort to make it feel clean enough to use. Took pictures of the cleanliness issues and tried to bring them to the attention of management but didn’t get past the reception desk staff and he seemed to have an ‘sorry about the state of the room but it’s the owners responsibility to furnish the unit and nothing can be done about it’ I was told cleaning staff have a duster to clean the ceiling fans however the fans are grease covered and a feather duster will not get that dirt off! There were many reviews that stated cleanliness of the resort was its downfall and I assumed that mgmt would want to hear about ways to address this and improve its review score and rating but felt that words fell on ‘deaf ears’.

Property was great. Clean and comfortable
