Best hotel in the Heart of Seoul

Third time staying in L7 Hongdae. It has been my go-to hotel in Seoul. Just above Exit1 of Hongik Uni Stn and the airport bus stop is right in front. All the shops and cafes and restaurants are there. I love to stay there with all the hip and young vibes in Seoul.

It was super convenient how close this hotel is to all the good spots in Hongdae. The staff were friendly and professional.

Conveniently located near Hongik University Station (10-minute walk), the hotel offers modern amenities, quiet rooms, and easy access to popular dining, shopping, and an excellent Italian restaurant at high floors. Definitely returnable stay.

Nice hotel in Hongdae area. Close proximity to shopping area n halal food establishment. Room was also quite comfortable for our family of four.

Great location with the Hongdae subway station right nearby, so it’s super easy to get around. The bedding was so comfy—perfect for beating jet lag. Also, loved the Malin Goetz toiletries, such a nice touch!

It is a very clean hotel with a young vibes (mostly young people). The room was smaller than expected but I could also understand that’s what it is for a hotel to be so conveniently located - it’s just 1 minute walk to the nearest subway exit (1) and shopping area. Remember to bring your own dental kit. It’s not provided.

Location is great as it’s close to the subway station. The standard suite is smaller than expected considering the price of it but not the worst. It was quite dusty underneath furnitures and in the corner in my opinion. Do expect to hear honking from traffic in the middle of the night if the suite is facing the main street. Staff are very friendly and nice. Overall, it’s a good experience.

Great hotel in terms of access to metro station to get to tourist attractions, and many restaurants/food/shopping/bars/entertainment within walking distance. My room smelled a bit of humidity but was quite clean and really enjoying the bath products/shower. The pool was awesome. The biggest issue was waiting for the elevator.

Very welcoming staff and great location and access to lots of shopping and food

The front desk staff was helpful for the check in and check out. They answered my questions and were very polite. The bartenders on the rooftop were very friendly as well and made great drinks.

We asked to help to order food for delivery but they didn’t offer to help

Good thing is there is a swimming pool. The 21st Floor has terrible rap music. Should replace it with some easy listening music.

This is a very good hotel in an excellent location and I would highly recommend it. However, i rated it 4 stars for two main reasons. First, how helpful or friendly the service is very much dependent on who you speak with / encounter. The first person who helped me check in wasn't very helpful to address my queries on the gym, but the second person I spoke with went beyond her means to help. Second, and this could be an isolated incident but I had to change rooms during my stay due to a leak in the toilet ceiling. This was inconvenient as I had to re-pack and unpack again, although I appreciated the hotel accommodating my request in the choice of relocated room. The view from the lobby is also great. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for it's excellent location in the heart of Hongdae and beside the subway (exit 1).

The rooftop pool is amazing. The room was clean and fairly spacious. Great location with busy shopping/restaurant area across the street. They even loaned us umbrellas one night which was a life saver!

Really nice hotel in a great area with convenientt transportation very close. Rooms are nice and clean, but not a lot of space for clothes.

Even on the 8th Floor the noise from the traffic was very bad. If you stay at this hotel at least try and be above floor 15. The lifts are also very heavily used and can take a long time to call one. Additional charges to even use the pool as a guest is a major issue. The cost of the stay here should easily include these things for free.

Room is very clean but relatively small. The layout is very well designed that it still felt comfortable to stay in. Both the room and lobby has a very modern design especially the lounge area is huge with a great view. Staff is friendly and helpful. Location is amazing, just one block away from Hongik university where most lines connect and steps away from Hongdae street for all your shopping and eating.

This hotel was right in the middle of the action. Tons of restaurants and shopping. Small rooms by Western standards but still very functional. Very friendly staff! Loved it!

I stayed here for the last two nights of a fourteen day tour around South Korea. It was hands down my favorite hotel the entire trip. From the staff who were very friendly and accommodating, to my room on the seventeenth floor, to the rooftop pool with the best views, everything was amazing!! The location was perfect and the city very walkable with subway station only a few minutes away. I was sad to leave, and I already can’t wait to come again. Thank you for a beautiful experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The hotel is well located with good access to major subway lines and bus thoroughfare. You are also close to the Arex train or the Airport bus if you wish to take public transportation. It's very well located to shopping, restaurants and bars. Although it has tourists, you definitely get to observe more locals in the area (vs an area like Myeongdong that feels almost completely tourist-driven). We stayed in a room with two single beds and it was perfectly fine for 4 nights. If you are staying over a longer period of time (ie a week), I'd consider upgrading to a larger room for a bit more space. The room had a nice view of the city and lots of outlets (great when you are sharing a space). The bathroom amenities offer Malin Goetz products, which is quite nice. Toilet also has a washlet, which is fairly standard for decent hotels in Korea. This room also had the best air conditioning of all the hotels we stayed in during our trip (central air duct that isn't noisy). The only main complaint I had during the stay is that the hotel Wi-Fi is unreliable from the hotel room. In the lounge, bar and public spaces it's fine. But in your room you'll have a difficult time connecting to the network. Ended up relying almost entirely on my cell phone data while staying in the room - if you have unlimited 5G data then you won't have a problem.

Good value for price, and excellent location in Hongdae. Also very convenient money exchange machine available in the common area. Could see some wear in the room (eg, scratches on walls). Elevators could be slow during peak times, and there was a line up to use the laundry room!

I was very happy with my choice I’ll be returning soon and will be staying there again. It’s a not brainer I was sad to go. Beautiful hotel, staff? Location etc just everything it definitely was a great ending to my 4 week trip in Asia. I guess I saved the best for last because Seoul was beautiful.

Right next to BTS Line friends. Second floor is Angelinus Cafe (an Instagrammable Cafe). Walking distance to main Hongdae Street. Nearest train exit is Exit 1 of the Hongik Uni Station.

Phenomenal! Staff was so nice and helpful. They even contacted me qhen i ledt behind an important item. Also, the room was so comfortable and everyone was so accommodating. I will definitely be back here!

The location is superb surrounded by many restaurants which open till late. It’s also near the shopping area in Hongdae and 3 mins walk to subway. The staff is very friendly and helpful too!

As a solo traveller spending one week in Seoul, L7 was a perfect option. Very connected to the metro and a comfortable place to come home to each evening after a busy day touristing.

I love this hotel, its clean and convenient. Few steps to Hongdae shopping center, lots of restaurants also few blocks away theres Olive Young and i love it… the coffee shop located at B1 serves good coffee and yummy pudding which i really enjoyed. Surely i will book this hotel once i good back in Autumn.

Convenient Location in the heart of Hongdae

This was my second time staying at L7 Hongdae. The reason for our choice to stay here is due to the location and the comfort of the rooms. The front staff and the cleaners are amazing. They are very attentive and helpful. Location is close to the subway exit and in the heart of Hongdae. Easy to take the subway and the bus. Lots of wonderful food options in the area. Love the fact it is on the other side of the Main Street where it is facing more residential area, therefore, it does not get too loud at night. The room size is quite spacious and full of amenities. Only draw back that people need to be aware of is that the hotel has a lot of units, which results to the elevators being busy quite often and the wait time can get long. I would be back again when I return back to Korea.

The check in process is fast. Would much prefer the newer design room, but was assigned to the older design, Overall the room is clean and we have what we need except for toothbrush & toothpaste (which is fine). USB port is a plus point as not all hotel has it. Most importantly, the location is good, convenient as well.

So fun, so chic, loved the vibe and was perfect for a solo traveler. Felt super safe and had so much fun walking to various stores, restaurants and bars in the area. Definitely great for travelers 20-40 if you're game to party and make friends. Located literally 3 mins to the train, super convenient. A little pricey? Maybe but honestly such a lovely space, well curated and really efficient. Hard to beat the location/safety/vibe combo. Would love to stay again!

It was quite uncomfortable to not have a closet in the room! The swimming pool costs 50 Euro to use for half a day. The pool was warm during hot summer days. The view and location are nice.

What was that aerosol?

Everything was great. However, they had use some form of an aerosol, I’m not sure if it was supposed to be just an air freshener, or some anti-rodent or bug treatment however, it was caustic, it literally caused me to have a sore throat, and have trouble breathing for, about an hour Otherwise the place was great.

Great location at Hongdae. 1min walk from exit 1 with escalator. Hotel is one ride from Incheon so no need to change track. All stops or Arex available. Room decor is modern and simple. Shower room can be conditioned better so that the water will not leak and wet the floor next to it. Staffs are friendly and quick in responding to request. It's surrounded by shopping malls and eatery. Almost 24/7 hours.

great location, clean room and friendly customer service.

Great location. The chambermaids were very friendly and approachable whenever I needed extra bottles of water/towels. DND sign throughout my duration of stay and they would quietly slip a note under my door, respecting our privacy. Hotel also left a note informing guests about the schedule of hotel cleaning maintenance and lobby door closure timing. Very thoughtful and considerate of them. Only downside is the long waiting time for the lift during peak hours and rooms are on the pricey side.

Stayed for 3 nights. The bathtub was severely clogged when I took a shower on the first night, and the soap on the bathtub was not clean. On the second night, I went to the water level and cleaned a lot of hair to prevent it from being clogged. The feeling is very different from when I checked in last year.

The staff at the front desk were amazing, however the staff in the restaurant were less than welcoming. The hotel is should let its guests know how loud the streets below are. The noise from the street below can keep you up at night.

Able to control temperature of the room (which we didn't find at other hotels, which had central heating system which was usually set to 26 degrees C). Very good location, right in the heart of Hongdae.

Bathroom needs a door from the bed area. Not good if you’re staying with people you’re not intimate with. Everything else is perfect.

The staff were really nice and friendly! I had a recent bad experience with an Airbnb so I checked in last minute at this hotel, and it was a lovely experience because the staff were so welcoming. The bed was really comfortable, I almost forgot about my worries the moment I laid on it lol. I also had to do a lot of laundry which was so convenient. The only thing I noticed was that the water didn’t go down the sink smoothly.
