Got adjunct room and neighbor was yelling at wife and kid. Wasnt safe environment. Next day only they moved us to the different room which wasnt adjunct and was better one. Cleaner, thick walls and pool view.

It was clean and convenient for my needs

It was fine staff was excellent.

I love the vibe everybody gave. I felt like family I will be back!

We have stayed at the Jolly Roger several times. We plan on staying there again in our future trips to Wildwood Crest. This is a family friendly place with many things to do onsite. The Jolly Roger is located near both the beach and boardwalk.

Delightful staff, clean rooms, excellent restaurant, sparkling pool. I cannot think of anything that was not provided, professional and with many smiles. Loved our stay here.

Close to the beach in a great area. Fantastic swimming pool, big, warm, with decent hours. We had an efficiency, and it was nice having the kitchenette, although it should have had a small pan. My husband didn't like the mattress, but I thought it was really comfortable. The AC was a very loud window unit. Everyone was really friendly and helpful.

Check-in was quick. Provided great info on restaurants. Room overlooking heated pool was a bonus.

Property was what you would expect from an inexpensive, aging hotel. On the other hand, the location was superb - block from the beach, bike/walking trail and two very nice city parks. The front desk staff (Elizabeth and Tom) were very personable and accommodated a request cheerfully. If the owners invested to improve the building then the price would reflect the cost. So for the money relative to the surrounding $$$ hotels, I would return.

The staff was so nice from the moment you book, with a phone call to answer all questions and greet you, to the moment you walk in to check in. They explain everything to you so you know all of the basics. Very helpful, and quick when I needed towels and garbage bags. The only complaint I had was that the bedroom floors could use a better cleaning. I spilled water shortly after getting to my room, and went to wipe it up and the towel turned brown. Otherwise, I was very very happy.

We liked the balcony and location. The air conditioner didn’t work, the rooms are very run down to where the walls are crumbling at the bottom. It was disappointing that we paid $300 for the weekend to stay here.

The owner checked me in and was very polite and genuinely friendly. I would stay at this property again.

Vacation in Wildwood Crest all the time. First stay at Jolly Roger and had a great experience.

Friendly staff, great place for a family vacation

Imagination had been used to transform a tired old motel into a comfortable colorful lovely destination. Would return again. Location is also wonderful.

they said they renovated the rooms, but paint was peeling off the walls ,no coffee maker in the room, stains on the furniture. I would say it was a one hundred dollar rm NOT four hundred dollars a night! I feel I was way over charged!

Beautiful renovated motel with very nice reception staff. There is a nice heated pool, grills near the pool area that the staff can help you with, free unlimited coffee. The place is clean, safe, and modern. Very satisfied with my stay.

Front desk is very welcoming & friendly

Owners were friendly and helpful about late arrival and checkout. Great coffee in the morning. I was there for 20 hours on a cold rainy day but the pool looked nice. Lots of easy parking. The motel has a retro vibe and the lobby is nicely redone. It’s not a fancy place, but great value and very clean. I’ve had bad experiences for triple the price in Wildwood so this was great.

The room smelled funky. The wallpaper was coming off from the wall,and when we check it out,the wall under the paper was all black with mildew. After complaining the move us to a room that was remodel.

The location is very convenient,staff is very friendly very close to the beach.

My week stay was great, but the conditions at the hotel could of been better. My biggest complaint was that the maids room was right next to ours. Every morning I was awaken by their talking. The hotel said when you book thru a third party that’s what you get. The pool was great and so was the lobby area. The bed was small for two people.

i do wish the room wasnt thatt pricey. the room could have been updated or little cheaper on the room. wish i knew what the room looked like before paying 500.00 for 2 nights. maybe update the information

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at the Jolly Roger Motel! The staff was very friendly and helpful! The room was updated and very homey. We will definitely be staying here again!

Great place for a family trip! The hotel was very clean & the staff was beyond friendly & helpful.

The staff at this motel are amazing. So friendly and helpful - you can see how much care they put into this motel. The pool is one of the best in Wildwood. It is a perfect place to stay with a family. We loved it and will return!

Owners & staff very friendly and helpful. It WiFi wasn’t great because the room we were in wasn’t updated. It’s also more of a retro style hotel but was clean.

We had a great time, family owned. Which I love. Usually they take pride in their establishment. And In this case very true. The owners Vince and Joe are very friendly and attentive. The maid service was awesome. They do a terrific job! Rooms were very clean. They had movie night by the pool. Very fun!

Perfectly matched expectations. It was like going back to the 60s. We enjoyed our stay. The room was in a good condition, and the pool was great. The staff was super friendly though wish they wear face masks.

Great service, wonderful area. Very helpful, warm, and accommodating. Pool is great! Lobby is welcoming. Beds were not very comfortable, and on the small side. Pillows not so great either.

My Time...Jolly Joy

Very nice pool!! There is a $5 security deposit for room keys. The office doesn't open until 9 A.M., so, if you are leaving prior to 9 you can not get your security deposit back. Room doors are not that secure, had a man try to open our door forcefully about 9 PM. Made us unconfortable. Nice area!

Had a beautiful pool/grilling area ! Right next to the beach . Air conditioning in all rooms and coffee for guests !

The owners were very accommodating and the pool was gorgeous! We will be returning.

The customer service was excellent and the property is in a perfect location. Loved the pool boy exercising as he cleaned the sparkling clean pool. Definitely would go back.

The Jolly Roger is in a great location. Almost all rooms face the pool. Their is a small dining area, that opens for breakfast. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My room was a little run down, it needed plaster repair to the bottom of the wall by the AC .

Generally clean but, not well maintained. Our lock on the door didn’t work. Holes in the wall behind the door. A kitchen cabinet over the refrigerator was missing but it had been there in the past. You could tell due to the poor paint job.

Needs paint on building inside and out. Coffee maker, no coffee. Entrance doors to room need more secure. Ours looked liked someone tried to pry open.

My husband and I loved the property, as well as the staff there. They were very accommodating and friendly. The walk to the beach was a breeze, and the pool area was very clean.

It’s a very old hotel that received some minor upgrades like new bathroom sinks and tiles to spruce it up a bit. The room uses the old separate portable ac units. This was an issue for us because we are allergy sufferers and the filters needed to be changed because they were blowing dust. Other then that the staff was very nice and friendly and helpful to our needs. The room was clean enough. They have a nice pool/jacuzzi and allow you to use them after check out for the day.

Beds where hard as a rock carpet disgusting room smelled moldy staff and guests where very nice rooms definitely need up dating then it will be a good place to stay.

The location to the beach was awesome. The closeness to the boardwalk was perfect. Loved looking at the color lights in pool up from our balcony but disappointed that you could not go in it after 9 which is when you would come back from dinner in would like a night swim. The staff was absolutely incredible, frien'ly, and helpful in any way. They all really seeme to love their job.

AC unit leaked outside of room. Few walls were broken at bottom - missings of it. Otherwise was a pretty clean room - well stock with towels and blankets. Staff was friendly. Didn’t get to use any amenities as only there to sleep pretty much. Though would have small kitchen area but just small fridge and microwave- toaster would have been nice.

First time back at Wildwood in a long time.

Overall very pleased. Only downside was the free wifi was down for the whole trip but can you complain if it's supposed to be free?

A huge disappointment!! Room was so outdated and was not clean. Carpets were dirty and smelled like feet. Stay away don't spend your hard earned money on a place that doesn't care!!

The property location is great, being directly across the street from the beach. The pool area is nice. The owners were both kind, engaging, helpful, and very friendly. For that alone I would have loved to rate it favorably, but for other reasons that could and should be attended to, I cannot. I was placed in a “renovated” room. I don’t even know where to begin...there were unmentionable hairs in the bathroom, a toilet that moved a great deal upon sitting, shower curtain hooks COMPLETELY rusted, several flies in the room needing killing, on the bed one paper thin sheet and then a very thin comforter (certainly not laundered I’m between each guest), a couch full of sand, surfaces needing repair and painting. Positives - the property itself is lovely and has incredible potential, just is in need of a lot of attention. The newly renovated kitchen was nice, and well thought out. The TV’s well placed and of good quality. Pool area welcoming and seemingly very kid/family friendly.

Rush us out of the Motel !

Stay was Good room for 2 adults great Location paid for a late Checkout some friends came over with their Service Dog (Maltese small dog) cleaning lady went in and let the dog run away looking for us at the Pool, then Owner came yelling at us because “We lie and told him we didn't have pets” (witch we didn't) and that it was passed our check out time I told him we paid for late checkout the day before didn't believe us and told us he was going to check to see if it was true so we just ended going upstairs to the room to get ready and leave when a Staff member open our door for the second time to check if we where still there rushing us out ! I Checked out 2pm and I had paid until 8 pm Not Happy how all ended up ppl rushing us to leave didn't ask for my money back but not Happy with the situation. Please Don't Rush ppl out when they had pay for a service u offered.

Enjoyable weekend.

The staff at the front desk was amazing. Friendly, informative and always smiling. The breakfast buffet in the adjoining cafe was worth the $10 price. It’s across the street from the beach, so no complaints on location. Room was dated but clean and roomy. Pool was clean and lots of seating available. You have to drive to the boardwalk, but that isn’t really a con. I wouldn’t wanna be close to the boardwalk late at night, especially with kids. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved the size of the pool! The people at the desk were very friendly. We saw some mold in our bathroom and on our curtains. We pointed it out to the front desk at check out. Hopefully it will be cleaned up for the next guests. They it us on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator. Fortunately we didn’t need one because we could carry our luggage, but if we stayed longer and had more luggage it could have been a challenge. The property is just across the street from the beach entrance, so that was nice. There was a bike rental a block away. This end of the Crest is quiet, which is nice.

Went for a weekend stay, room was clean, but i mostly have to comment on the staff. The front desk workers are welcoming, helpful, and made our stay at the hotel def. Worth it!! We will be back for sure !

Good place for a family vacation. Close to beach. Has a pool.

The hotel was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only negative was the comfort of the bed and pull out bed. The location was perfect.

We didn't have time to use it but the heated pool was very nice.

We always love coming here. We have gone in the Summer for several years, but this was a quick one night stay for an event at the convention center. Perfect location for Boardwalk access. Its about 1 mile away which is close enough to walk and far enough to be quiet. We love the jolly!

Could use some updating

The layout of the room was great. The staff were so friendly and courteous. Reasonably priced. My son loved that they have a tennis count there. The only downside is that the pillows were a little uncomfortable. And my husband would like to see better smelling shampoos lol. Overall great stay. We will definitively be coming back!!

Enjoyable

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Jolly Roger. The room was just right for the both of us, although the air cleaner was a little strong on the sofa and also the lighting was on the dim side but nothing bad to say. Everybody there was cheerful and they had a great attitude.

Family Vacation

it was well located in "The Crest" which is relatively quiet and a 20 minutes walk from the Boardwalk which is obviously less quiet... We had a great time and it's too bad that the restaurant closed so early... Very nice owners & the staff was A1!!! Room a little small and the back door did not have any curtain so we had the sun in our bedroom at 6 AM. Otherwise it was good!

Typical Jersey shore motel

Great location. 1 block from the beach. Trolley stop right in front of hotel. Nice pool. I understand it is not the Ritz Carlton, but the appliances in the room could use some updating. The fridge and microwave are covered in rust.

A jolly good time

Hotel was not fancy but clean, quiet, great for families; Staff was very nice and helpful, check in/out was a breeze. You can tell they make a real effort to keep this hotel in nice shape. Overall very clean, comfortable, great location. Would def stay again, had a great stay here
