Would highly recommended! Customer service at its best. Beautiful , relaxing. and fun!
Birthday get away
Beds were hard, very firm. Maid service was good and appreciated. Valet parking was great, punctual and polite!
I absolutely felt welcomed by Mike and Patina. They were amazing hosts, and made my birthday very special.
The property and Club House were beautiful and filled with character and history. We enjoyed sunsets with cocktails and dinner at The Wharf restaurant. However, upon arrival the bell hop and front desk staff were not very welcoming or helpful. The bell hop did not give us directions to the front desk and the signage is not obvious so we had to wander a bit. When we came back to the car, the bell hop was less than eager to help us with the bags, so we just parked the car and took in our own bags. Because we were unfamiliar with the property we had to search for an open door and ended up carrying the luggage up the stairs because we could not find the elevator. Also, there was no hot water on the last day of our stay. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but were a bit disappointed in the level of service.
Beautiful property, a few frustrations.
This property is stunning and so beautifully decorated for Christmas. The room was lovely and most of the staff were polite. House keeping was not 100% though. And after we booked through the Hotels app, we started getting GA and FL resident promotional emails, but the hotel wound't honor any of them because we booked through a third party. I know that's not unusual, but all we wanted was to ride some bikes. It cost us almost $60 (free for GA residents, which we are). They could have shared some good will and just given that to us. NYE dinner was very expensive and somewhat disappointing.
Only disappointment was the lack of a dining room.
Cold Brunch
We had breakfast at the Sunday brunch. the food was probably very tasty but everything was ice cold. All of the chaffing dishes were left wide open. The sausage were obviously precooked because they still had frost in the middle. The cheese grits were so cold , they were hard. On the other hand my shrimp salad croissant was very good at the pantry.
Wonderful!
I have visited the Jekyll Island Club many times over the last 30 years. It is a very unique and peaceful retreat. The one thing I found disappointing is the dining room for the clubhouse is still not open for evening dinner.
We go to this club every year. We love it and we love the new updates they have done to the club.
Great
Anniversary Trip.
Bath Room not heated. Room was to small. Handicapped parking was not available most every day. I am a handicapped Veteran.
Great history and staff
Just a few miles off the interstate and it’s like being transported back in time to a gilded age playground for the ultra-rich. A beautiful historic property in a beautiful natural setting with miles of walking paths and bicycle paths. Wonderful landscaping and breathtaking ancient live oaks everywhere. A perfect place to relax and unwind. Love it.
This property is just so charming and we always enjoy our stay here.
Beautiful place to stay. Amazing history and architecture.
The property is gorgeous.
Unique, spacious rooms Love.the old growth trees
Overall great stay. However, the structure is over 100 years old so there are some challenges. Best for someone who appreciates history and willing to overlook some things. I’ll return.
Amazing
Great place, food could be improved
The first hotel room was not good. It wasnt what was shown on the original order. It had a slanted ceiling that i could hit my head on and had to go up extra flights of stairs without elevator access. They switched us out to another room which was fine. The staff were all very friendly and courteous. The resort is beautiful. The restaurants and food were disappointing. The Wharf restaurant food was bad. Flounder was overcooked and had little flavor. The food at the pool tasted as if it was reheated. The only good food we had was surprisingly the Pantry.
I have returned to this property several times because it's wonderful for a quiet time away from the routine of daily life. There is both natural and architectural beauty. Meal options at the hotel can be a little expensive if you choose to stay on the property the whole time.
This is a beautiful serene property that kept me smiling and happy that I chose to vacation here. There’s a wealth of history on this property surrounded by nature. It’s well kept and so inviting. I would outside in the evening and enjoyed the peace that found me.
Jekyll Island
Loved staying at this historic Resort. Will be back.
Very nice resort.
This is the prefect place to go if you want to get away and relax.
Wonderful
Beautiful old world charm.
Such a beautiful and unique property! Staff was very helpful getting us back and forth from the nearby marina. I would recommend that the fitness center be thoroughly cleaned and upgraded. It was not up to par with the rest of the facility.
Jekyll Island Club
Amazing facility! Just beautiful all the way around!
Loved all the charm! Wish the rooms didn’t have carpet just because of my son’s asthma and pets being allowed.
Our stay was simply lovely. A beautiful step back in time with the most exquisite modern-day amenities. We will be back very soon.
Life memories here- history plus southern charm
Beautiful place. Need at least 2-3 nights to see everything and relax. The pool is big and very calming. The grounds are gorgeous live oaks dripping with moss. The food at all locations is great plus happy staff. Friday and Saturday at sunset the preform a Sabre opening of Champaign for anyone. Really nice.
Enjoyed our stay. Lovely property full of history.
Historic hotel with plenty to see and do on the island. Dining options were good but expensive. Room was nice. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We took the history tour and sea turtle center tour and kayaked the marsh area. Driftwood beach was a fun exploration area.
The hotel was quiet and peaceful with plenty of deck seating available. The grounds were well maintained and provided plenty walking and bike riding paths. We were only able to visit one cottage. It would have been great to be able to tour other onsite cottages. Our room's bathroom was dirty. There were yellow stains along the wall base grout and yellow stains around the toilet base. Also the hallways and elevator floors were dirty. They looked like they had not been vacuumed in a week or more. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
Had a great time spending my wedding anniversary here I would recommend this place to everyone great place to stay
Jekyll Island Club is our perfect weekend getaway!
The property itself is unique, historical and classic. Eighty Ocean restaurant is first class. The Wharf restaurant is to be avoided. Terrible service and cold food.
Great hotel. The buildings are very historically well kept but also modern enough amenities inside the room. Good balance between keeping the amazing history while not feeling outdated. The Property and staff, as well as surrounding area was all top notch. Tons of activities for kids and adults. Plus 20 miles of beautiful biking and walking paths around the entire island.
Everything!
Great location
Beautiful buildings and grounds. Like going back in time to the Gilded Age. Biking paradise with extensive, well maintained bike trails around the whole island that are accessible right from the resort. It would have been nice to have the main dining room open for dinners.
Perfect place to stay when visiting Jekyll Island.
There was not daily housekeeping. I stayed 5 nights and had to find a member of housekeeping to get more bottled water and coffee. My sheets and towels were never changed.
We had a wonderful stay. The grounds are beautiful and the staff was very friendly.
Jekyll Island Resort Old Time Charm
We stayed at the Jekyll Island Resort, it is a throwback to a bygone era with a beautiful old building that has incredible woodwork, stained glass and light fixtures. It is elegant and the service is top notch. We ate dinner at the Beach Club because the dining room is only open for breakfast, they have shuttle service back and forth which makes it very convenient. Dinner was very good. We had a nightcap at the bar with Victoria as our bartender, she is friendly and professional. All around it was a great stay.
Beautiful property and excellent staff
Wonderful in Every Way
Lovely Hotel. Everything was perfect. Wonderful staff. Great room... great everything ... Restaurant service very slow but that did not take away from the hotel which still deserves the highest rating. Great location for shopping, dining, sightseeing, walking... loved our stay.
Incredible property that makes you feel like you are stepping back in time. Beautiful sunsets, incredible history, relaxing environment well-heated pool also makes it easy to swim even when it’s in the mid 60s and sunny.
The property was incredible...the Club takes you back in time and you can just relax and enjoy the surroundings. We will be back.
Historic and Comfortable
This is an amazing Historic Hotel. The grounds are huge and very interesting with lots of history. The rooms were very cozy and comfortable - the AC worked great. Bathroom was large and very clean. Unfortunately we were only able to stay for about 24 hours and it was raining for most of the first day but it didn't stop us from having smores at the fire pit by the pool and playing card games and checkers in the lobby area. The fireplace was going, lots of large comfortable chairs and tables where couples or families could relax and enjoy the ambiance day or night. My 6 and 7 year old granddaughters loved the hotel too. They enjoyed the sitting areas available throughout the hotel and "the pantry". The only thing that could have been better were food options. We had to leave the resort on Sunday night as nothing was open for dinner except The Pantry for sandwiches etc. The breakfast was expensive and was a buffet which equated to a breakfast at a Fairfield or Hampton but with less options. Coffee was not even included. Dinner is available six nights a week but a "Resort" should always have breakfast, lunch and dinner available that meet the expectations one would have of a full service "resort". That said, I will return again during the week to this lovely, historic hotel.
Great resort with with a lot of history, well kept & very good staff and service. Will stay again !
We got there early and they checked us in.
Great Stay!
Wonderful stay for our anniversary and my wife's birthday! Nicely renovated while retaining vintage charm.
Beautiful hotel. Very historical resort. Really enjoying our stay here .
5 stars!
We had a wonderful stay. The staff was lovely and accommodating to our last-minute early check-in request.
This is my favorite place to visit for 30 years and still counting
Always Peaceful at Jekyll
We try to come to Jekyll Island Club twice a year for a much needed recharge! It is peaceful and delightful. Highly recommend.
The Jekyll Island Club is like stepping back into the Gilded Age with wi-fi and gas fireplaces. A wonderful preservation of the past while embracing the new.
Loved everything, but the room had only one chair so it was difficult for both of us to enjoy the gorgeous sunset from our room.
This is stunning 19th century resort property and is filled with all the amenities of the age. Staff are highly trained and try to meet every guest's needs. The grounds are lovely and well manicured. It is a truly a special property not to be missed on a trip to Jekyll.
The property was beautiful. However, the dining was subpar and the service was terrible. Certainly not as expected of a 4 star hotel. In addition, equipment failure made for an unsafe and diminished experience. In addition, beware of unexpected "hotel" charges FAR exceeded the anticipated price by over $100!
We got a very warm & informative greeting before our room was ready...we did get here super early! They have bikes to rent right here at the resort and we rode them around almost the entire island...stunning! What a gorgeous place to come and visit. The Jekyll Island Club Resort is such a special place to come visit, especially at Christmas time. The lights around the property were delightful. We played games in the parlor. The holiday decor is so romantic. Our double queen room was lovely and well equipped. Loved having tea and coffee in the room. The staff is helpful and nice. Can't wait to come back one day.
The resort is always lovely during the holidays. However, as an overnight guest, I expect to be given preference over walkins for breakfast seating. We arrived at 10am and were told they could not take us for breakfast, although breakfast was to be served until 10:30 and there were open tables available. Apparently they had a noon lunch event for the public and prioritized that seating over their paying lodging guests. Even after speaking to the front desk manager & the food & beverage director, we still were not seated. Not good customer service in my opinion for someone who is an annual patron to the hotel and also hosted a large wedding at this property. Disappointed to say the least.
Holiday getaway
Beautiful historic hotel which is decorated so beautifully with Christmas trees everywhere. We arrived and there was people playing croquet on the front lawn.
This property is absolutely beautiful! The grounds are just breath taking and the resort is self is lovely & very comfortable. The staff is friendly & helpful and really went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. We will be repeat guests!
Peaceful and serene. Great food and accommodations Enjoyed the nature walks and biking
Need a. Manager.
Just got back from my stay. Couldn’t sleep because of AC making a loud sound. Never saw a manager. Breakfast order was delivered without collard greens as indicated in menu.server said they haven’t had them in months. No concierge. Went home sick. As I use a Cane, it is the most user unfriendly hotel that I have ever stayed.no men,s room except in basement. Pretty property but managed poorly.
Old world charm and excellent service
Very lovely
Upon arrival no one was there to assist with luggage. I use a cane and passed 2 staff members with my luggage and never asked to assist or ask us if we had checked in. Finally a woman from the gift shop told me where to check in. Checking in the woman asked someone to check the room. The young guy went and came back and said it was good. As I entered the room I went straight to the bathroom and noticed a pubic hair on the seat of the toilet. Did that guy really check the room? The room also had a few food particles on the rug by the bed. The inspection was not done. Went to the pantry as it was most convenient and ordered a lava cake. The lava cake had no “lava”. It was a chocolate dry cake. The bed and pillows were both horrible and did not get a good nights sleep. For the amount I paid I expected more. We also had to pay a $10 fee to get to the island which was not stated on Expedias website. Not a happy camper. Btw the surrounding area had some Christmas ornaments that light up at night. When we went to see them they were not on. Disappointing!
Loved the place- but they gave us an older room not updated like picture you show. And room had no view just roof. Complained and given second room- still not updated like picture on Expedia but had beautiful river view. Expedia should ensure getting updated room as your picture shows- disappointing to pay so much and not receive it. Bathroom nicely updated and clean.
food at wharf was poor breakfast at dining room -muffin was stale
The Jekyll Island Club is one of the most spectacular properties I have ever had the pleasure of visiting! It’s no wonder the founders chose this secluded, peaceful location as it continues to provide the same to visitors. I hope to return soon.
Another great Shrimp & Grits festival.
Excellent bellhop valet service! Wish there were snack items available after 9pm - wonderful location love the history!
We enjoyed the property very much, however there was a problem with our room. The windows were rattling and we had a very difficult time sleeping. I advised the front desk and they did send someone to fix the windows. I explained to the gentleman that I did not get any sleep for two days…which was extremely disappointing. He was not sympathetic at all and simply disregarded my situation. Hopefully I will be hearing from you shortly Thank you
Dining room was closed for dinner. I know low season. OK
Absolutely Perfect!! May be the most relaxing place I’ve ever seen, will definitely be back soon!!!
.
The property is absolutely gorgeous we only wish they would reopen the main dining room for dinner.
This was one of the most beautiful resorts, its pristine location on the water, gorgeous landscaping and the professional attitude of the staff. You cannot adequately describe Jekyll Island, you have to go see it yourself. I want to live there permanently.
Great place to go and relax. Loved m stay at Jekyll Island.
Beautiful property and the history here is amazing. The staff and rooms are also great. Like stepping back into the past.
Pretty historical property but not quite up to modern standards. Bed skirt in the room was in terrible shape and looked like it needed to be replaced years ago. Room was dark and shades opened up to unsightly view. There was dirt or sand on the main staircase for days that didn’t get cleaned. Very dark hallways with stained carpets. Going back and forth to parked car was a pain. Ate lunch at the wharf restaurant on site where the view and service were great but the food upset my stomach. In hindsight, the newer ocean club property probably would’ve been a better choice for me.
Loved the historical qualities of the entire area. Such a gem.
Labor Day Weekend 2023
Overall experience was fine if you had no previous experience with this special place. Noble House now owns and operates with limited staff but most employees were pleasant and seemed to be working hard. They have done away with dinner in the Grand Dining Room and Crane Cottage. Also, closed Vincent’s Pub that was a fun alternative to the main bar. They have set up pool cabanas to generate additional fees taking up valuable space that used to be occupied by guest lounge chairs. They have also substituted their brand of Coconut Mango toiletries for the Spanish Sea Moss used for years. I realize that is a matter of personal preference but it was a little luxury I appreciated. Lastly, we had no housekeeping or replenishment of water and they charged us for 2 bottles of Evian water when only one was used.
This is a hidden gem! A perfect location for a couple’s getaway or girls’ trip. Everything one needs is on the property or a short shuttle ride away. The hotel is lovely, like going back in time, with beautiful views of oak trees and the Jekyll River. Cannot wait to return!
Simply amazing
Magical place.
Loved the historic buildings and architecture as well as the music! Didn't like the pantry store- they were out of many items.
2nd time I have been here. Beautiful property!!! Excellent service!!!
It was an excellent experience staying in cottage. The property is beautiful and the staff is very helpful and service oriented. My only wish is that there were more nice restaurant options on the island.
Wonderful stay...wonderful property. Highly recommend for a romantic getaway!
The property is magical. This was my third stay, the last being 11-years ago. The added treat of taking a shuttle over to the Ocean Club for a little beach relaxation, use of umbrellas, chairs, and towels was a nice addition. The resort service was impeccable; however, the wait staff in the restaurants seemed to be overwhelmed, not as attentive, clearly understaffed - most likely in the post pandemic staff shortage that remains an issue for most restaurant establishments. So plan ahead if you need to be served in a timely manner. If your mindset is on island time, your experience will be a positive one, as the food is excellent once you receive it. My two 19-year-olds loved their first experience biking amongst the incredible oak trees, wildlife encounters, and laid back freedom. Driftwood Beach is a must-see and the shops in the historic district are charming. Go for the history, the enchantment of the era, the beauty of nature, and the laid back island vibe and you will not be disappointed. Hotels.com, thank you for the great rates, detailed information, and ease of use. I will book through you again - 5 Stars!
The scenery the historic sites the friendly atmosphere. Was all Great
Loved everything!! This was a last minute trip so we booked as we were driving. We had a blast in the little time we were there and plan to go back soon for a longer stay with loved ones!!
Nice, but could be better for the price
We loved the vibe and property overall. Lovely staff. Food was a bit overpriced in the grand dining room, but was very tasty. A couple of things we did not like about our room in particular (deluxe double queen room). First, there was a strong smell of mold, moisture and septic, especially bathroom. Sink, toilet and shower all had leaks and leaked through our stay. Second, there was a bug infestation in the bathroom. Not sure what bugs they were, but there were dozens of them in various sizes crawling all three nights of our stay. Took pictures. We stayed in multiple century old hotels and properties in the past and this one was the the least maintained (rooms in particular). Outside landscape and nature was very pretty and relaxing. It can definitely do a bit better for the price and 4star status. Nice, but not great. Ex. Medium size strawberry smoothie in their cafe is $10, and they did not have straws for it:)
Our room had roaches and a wasp. We were moved to another room that was an upgrade. We ate breakfast at the Grand Dining Room. It took an hour to get our food and it was cold. The restaurants on the property are terrible. We had to ask housekeeping for towels and to change our trash. Very disappointing for the price that you pay.
We had a great stay! We saw sea turtles and got to relax by the pool!

Beautiful property, Staff was capable but not very friendly. And the bed and pillows were not very comfortable. I expected better for the price point.
