For an overnight stay it was ok probably a bit overpriced for what you get

Lovely hotel situated on the edge of the town. Staff were excellent and very helpful. Had evening meal as an extra, very nice and reasonable priced. Breakfast was included and was plentiful. Rooms are decent sized, good showers.

Well its as expected for IBIS i guess. The property is in need of an exterior facelift - i thought "oh no the place is closed" looked deserted. Staff are helpful and managed a decent breakfast despite Covid

Comfortabl accommodations near city center

Good location near city center - easy walking distance to cathedral and other sights. Clean, comfortable room and bed. Parking is good, though hotel does not really monitor for use by non-guests. Good breakfast.

The staff were very helpful and its location within easy walking distance of the centre of Brouges was a real bonus

Very nice hotel

Stayed at this hotel on our way back from the Languedoc region. Bourges is a lovely city with beautiful old buildings and cathedral, plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. Hotel was very nice, clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't eat at this hotel for dinner, but did have breakfast here the next morning, which was very nice as always.

After a previous bad experience at another Ibis hotel we were a bit apprehensive but needn’t have been. Location ideal to walk into Centre of Bourges. Hotel is as pictured on website, when we checked in the gentleman on reception was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and air conditioning worked!

Easy check-in and ease of entry with doors on both side of the building so you don't have to walk too far with your luggage. Nice quick check-in process. Elevator to get to room. Nice café/bistrot area to grab a bite or drink. Negatives: Room was very small, dated, and a bit in disrepair. 1. The thermostat did not work so the room was very hot at night which made it difficult to sleep. Though we could see an Air Vent and thermostat dial in the room, the AC would not turn on and there was no air. 2. Shower water would randomly become extremely hot (not related to toilet flushing or sink running in our room, maybe in the neighboring rooms though?) 3. Shower head holder was broken so I had to hold the shower head the entire time which made it difficult to wash. No tub.

As expected from Ibis - pleasant staff, clean room, comfortable bed, quiet and parking too.

Good location with parking close to the town centre

Although most were friendly none could speak any English so although we tried our French there was difficulty understanding which we thought strange when adverts were in English!!

Pleasant etape.

Fairly basic hotel, but with reasonable room - even if somewhat on the small size. Breakfast comprehensive with pleasant food and staff all very helpful and attentive. Easy access on foot to old town and Cathedral/Museums. Sadly, the light show around town is not on display until summer months, but still many interesting streets and buildings to visit.

Staff were very helpful. Lots of parking. Breakfast was excellent quality.

Never will stay in an Ibis again

The hotel was extremely warm and when quizzed about the air con we we're told its turned off as the evenings are cold it was 18 degrees plus at midnight. The best we could be offered was a fan so we still had to sleep with the window open making our stay very noisy the beds memory foam topper just added to the heat along with a plastic protective cover this just made it worse. I will never set foot in an Ibis again. The information in the room about their 'Smile policy' and solving a problem in 15 minutes otherwise your there guest for free isn't worth the paper its written on. They did not solve our problem and it was the worse night's stay in over 16 hotels that we have been in over the past two weeks.

Nice hotel for short stay.

Used for a one night over stay and was perfect for this. Beds are on the small (not very wide) side but otherwise all was great.

Great for a stopover

We stopped in Bourges for one night en route to Spain and the Ibis Bourges was perfect for this. We had bikes to store and the staff couldn't have been more helpful arranging this for us. As we arrived late we didn't get a chance to explore the area but we enjoyed a lovely meal in the hotel restaurant and the continental breakfast was great, just as you'd expect at an Ibis. The only niggle was that the room was very hot and stuffy. I'm not convinced the AC was working, but we didn't report this.

Great Air-Con Good Location Free parking!

Great hotel, very uncomfortable but the best bit by far was the Air con!! We've stayed at 10 hotels travelling across France & there's so many without & its impossible to sleep its been in its 30s at night. The hotel is about a 10-15 walk into the old town so great location! And free parking! Breakfast continental but plentiful.

Nice and Clean Ibis near Bourges Old Town

This Ibis has a very good location, just outside the edge of the old town. Free parking can be found around the hotel with security camera at the back side of the hotel. Different from the traditional bathroom module, this Ibis has a rest room with a new design which is very pleasant and comfortable. Like in other Ibis hitels, the staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was not that great compared to another Ibis we stayed a few days ago in Clemen-Ferrand.

OK in an emergency

Towels provided (only 2 bath towels, no hand towels) were very small and flimsy. Only basic body wash provided. Small crowded room.

Great for the night

The hotel was clean and room was comfortable. The receptionist was lovely and really helpful. Glad there was free parking too!

Fair value lodging.

This Ibis is a reasonable value for the money, with helpful reception staff. On site parking was a plus particularly because the neighborhood isn't the best.

Well appointed

The location as you drive to the Hotel doesn't inspire confidence. However, it's clean and tidy and the staff welcoming. It is a short walk in to the centre of Bourges where there are numerous restaurants and places for breakfast if you don't want to pay for the Hotel one.

Nice hotel in Cartres

Situated near center of town in walking distance from all tourist places. Restaurants are planty in close proximity to the hotel. Staff in the hotel are extremely good and the room was clean and cosy. Good value for money.

Price to value - this IBIS wins hands down.

I was so nervous about a business presentation and really needed someone to print and scan a document. The front desk folks could not have been more helpful!! They were amazing!! Then later walked to town and got great advice and directions. Free parking - cheap rates - great staff - who can resist.

Nice hotel, not far from Bourges city. It will takes about 10 minutes to the centre of Bourges and around 8 minutes to attractions such as Bourges Cathedral and Palais Jacques Coeur. All you need is walk a bit and find a lot of historical buildings to visit or the city centre. The room is clean with a big bed. The toilet is clean too. But there is no kettle provided. However, you can just ask for hot water from the staff.

Once we found it,as sat nav does not recognise the road we were happy with the hotel. Quiet and good parking and within walking distance of centre.

handy hotel

We stayed here as it was midway between our holiday in the south and our ferry in Cherbourg and the hotel had parking. The hotel was a typical modern build and is in an area that has seen better times but it was handy to walk into the centre of Bourges and explore the old city. The man on reception was very helpful giving us a map and suggesting the best areas to visit and where to look for somewhere to eat.

Loved the hair dressers across from the Hotel. Hotel ten minutes walk through back streets to restaurants and shops. Supermarket next to hotel. . 15 mins walk from train station

Special!

Hotel is very new and clean, service excellent. Quick check in and check out. I forgot my loyalty card for collecting my points, the receptionist found my membership online and managed to give me them. The dinner at the restaurant was absolutely delicious!

Overnight stop on way to Spain.

Pleasant receptionist on arrival explained about restaurant etc. ate in restaurant and had a good meal. Breakfast disappointing for the price would have expected something hot. Kettle in room would have been nice but cannot complain as price of room was low. Towels a little small and only one each. Overall would definitely stay again with this chain.

Weellocated, good quality Ibis

The hotel provided everything we wanted; the standard of the room was as expected; the hotel is well located to walk around Bourges; and there was a decent E Leclerc supermarket a few metres away.

Beautiful Cathedral

Stayed overnight on return trip from South of France to England. Very clean and comfortable rooms with a bath and over bath shower. Very good standard for a budget hotel. No fridge or coffee/tea making facilities, but would not expect that in a budget hotel.

Okay for what we needed

This hotel is fine for an overnight stay on route to somewhere else. Staff were very helpful when we checked in and could speak English well. The room was small with no frills but clean and functional. A short walk away from the main centre of Bourges. Breakfast the next morning was expensive so walked into Bourges to get a pain au chocolate instead! Don't forget the tax when you leave - just a couple of euros.More of an overnight stop off than a holiday hotel

A cut above most chain hotels

The staff were attentive and courteous and the evening meal we ate was of a good quality for the relatively low price. For a chain hotel it felt very friendly

Great for a comfortable mid-long journey stopover.

Staff were efficient and friendly. Room was really comfortable - good bed and washroom facilities, just what is needed when in the middle of a long drive. Like all the Ibis we have visited, there are no tea/coffee facilities in the room. We arrived too late to explore the area fully but had the choice of the inhouse restaurany or several restaurant within easy walking distance.

Not recommended if you need secure parking

Very disappointed that there was no secure parking - let alone garage. It was very inconvenient to have to carry our voluminous luggage up to the room. Staff were unsympathetic about it and offered no help. Also disappointed that the restaurant was fully booked and we had to scour the neighbourhood to find anything to eat.

Review of Ibis in Bourges

Great stopover location - Bourges is a beautiful town. Hotel is a little difficult to find from their map - but with a sat nav should be no problem. Breakfast was good value and good service all round. Not luxury but clean and comfortable and would recommend for short stop over.

Voyageur regulier dans cet établissement, je ne suis jamais déçu. La chambre est suffisante et confortable. Le restaurant, ainsi que le petit dej, est excellent avec un service toujours au top. Bemol la vingtaine de places de parking est assez reduite pour l'établissement mais un parking gratuit de l'autre côté de la rivière est souvent vide.

In Ordnung für eine Übernachtung

Lage grundsätzlich gut für Stadt Besuch. Empfang an der Rezeption war gut und freundlich. Zimmer ausreichend gross und oberflächlich sauber. Ecken leider nicht geputzt. Im Badezimmer kam nachts eine Schabe durch die fehlenden Abdeckungen zu den Rohrleitungen. Nur 1 Handtuch pro Person: also für Gesicht und zum Duschen. Becher aus Pappe für Tee und im Bad. Bequemes Bett. Absolut unpassend war das Verhalten abends in Bar und Lobby. Auf der Couch lag ein telefonierender Mann in Unterhose und es herrschte eine insgesamt "sehr gelassene" Stimmung unter den Männern in der Bar, so dass wir auf einen Drink verzichteten.

Quartier un peu délabré, bonne situation géographique, accueil chaleureux. Chambre exiguë, peut mieux faire pour un 3 étoiles. Plateau de courtoisie dans la chambre, un peu sommaire. Et mode actuelle, avec le prétexte de l'eco responsabilité ,pas de bouteille d'eau dans la chambre , plutôt source d'économie.

Point fort : petit déjeuner. Points faibles: literie, chambre exiguë pour un 3 etoiles. Pas d'eau en chambre sous le pretexte de la rareté de l'eau. Tisanes et thé, non renouvelés en chambre, malgré un séjour de 4 nuits. Environnement quartier en déclin.

Agréable moment passé

Nous ne sommes restés qu'une nuit. L'accueil a été très agréable et à l'écoute de nos demandes en y répondant de suite. De même pour les personnes qui travaillent au restaurant.
