This property is not as advertised. Not a resort. Not in good condition. Cracked walls, cracked concrete all over, plaster lathe is falling down in our room. Beds are out of a homeless shelter. I’m 6’1” 230 and the bathroom is a closet. The owner has a “strict” policy of no refunds, we found out why. As soon as we walked in, we turned around and left. The room smells like mildew. Would not consider this unit u less your desperate for a roof. We tried contacting the owner’s rep “Special Places” of Costa Rica. They whisked me out of their office and said to contact Expedia knowing full well that they weren’t going to refund a penny. Not even a partial on 2 days. My wife and I are not particular people but this property is below a hostel as far as we are concerned.
The property is well maintained the room had ample supply of towels and good shower, The ocean view from the room is panoramic and the beach a few steps down from the room is private to the hotel guests. Their was sitting accommodations on the beach like chairs and umbrellas. but the clean clear ocean water made up for it.

The agency (Special Places) was very nice, but this unit was on the bottom floor with a view of a roof awning & glimpse of ocean. It’s one of the older buildings in a poorly planned resort area that has no Costa Rican vibe. The interior was dated, sad, and had padlocks on some cabinets. I was so disappointed and asked if there were any other options. We paid $100 more per night & stayed at the Oceanica.
