When first looking through the photos before booking we absolutely fell in love with the cabin. After arriving we quickly realized most all of the photos were taken of a different area and the property only had a view of a gas station and a duplex community across the street. Hats off to the photographer. Would NOT recommend.
The last place on my vacation travels. The cabin was so clean and comfortable. Privacy was refreshing. Close to every thing yet a camp ground feeling with a porch and firepit. Always going to go back again.
Beautiful, quiet & clean. Great stay.
Lodging satisfactory. NOT customer service. Expedia bares some blame for not making establishment’s overnight minimum clear to users.
Great cabin.
This cabin is a great place to have a wonderful Alaskan experience. It has everything you need in a cozy location. Service from staff was quick and easy.
We like the cabin and not being in a hotel is a big plus for us. There was a lot of traffic noise, so it was hard to get a good nites sleep. It would be nice if the TV was a little bigger.
Everything was great. Had all we needed. Highway noise on the weekend was the only issue. Unavoidable.
Nice cabin.
Easy access location and parking at right front of the cabin. Small kitchen and shower/toilet were so helpful after long hike at Hatcher Pass. It would be better and safe that if separate lights for the room and bathroom.
Very cozy, clean and quiet. We had one minor issue, but the owner responded and made it right. Would stay again, would reccomend.
Very cute and comfortable.
A very nice cabin, our family enjoyed our 2-night stay very much! One downside - we were not able to get a hold of anyone trying to check in a bit early.
Cozy cabin
Great stay and well stocked with everything you need
Clean, comfortable cabin in a good location
This cabin came with everything, including a well-stocked kitchen and extra blankets and pillows. It was really cozy, although It lacked storage space. It could also use more lighting in the kitchen. Still, it was a great base for hiking, and we’re really glad we stayed there and would definitely stay there again.
Great views with trees surrounding. We did not like the road being so close to the cabin.
Our Alaska trip
The cabin was great for our needs the location was great. We had one of the sour dough cabins for just the 2 of us. Would stay again
A beautiful unique cabin in a perfect setting right at the base of hatchers Pass
It has been one of the best family vacations and it was like being home. We loved that the host was thoughtful and detailed. We definitely want to stay at Hatcher pass
Worth the extra drive!
It was so amazing!
Weekend Getaway
Wonderful weekend away for my husband and I.
Cozy cabin for a weekend getaway
We had a wonderful family trip in the Hatcher pass sourdough cabin. Our kids loved the bunkbeds. It was warm and cozy and had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. We explored hatcher pass area and it was ver convenient location. It is right next to a gas station and convenience store which is a 3 minute walk.
Cute Cabin
Quaint little cabin with all the extras. We enjoyed the location; not in the city and wooded, without being too far out of the way. Comfortable and with lots of brochures detailing area excursions.
Neat spot to stay, the cabin was cozy and well taken care of.
The cabin was perfect for our honeymoon and so very cozy.
Very cute, cozy cabin. Loved the flowers! Bathroom is very small with big step up to enter.
Hatcher Pass B&B
Our cabin was switched our confirmed reservation of 1 queen + 2 singles to 1 queen + a futon without letting us know until we arrived. the futon is very uncomfortable. Apparently is was all about accommodating a larger group who booked after us - there was no offer for a reduction in price for the smaller cabin. Nice place, quite area, good location. Be sure to get a confirmation as to your room size before you go.
I stayed in the "grand" cabin. It was nice and spacious and had everything you would need - Shampoo AND Conditioner, Liquid Body Soap, Breakfast, Coffee, all supplies and utensils, extra blankets, nice blinds that block out 90% of the daylight, and comfy beds. It also had a nice side yard that my dog liked to play ball in.
Carefree and a very pleasant stAy
Liz had everything organised Our name and cabin number was on a wall in the porch Our fridge had a dozen eggs, yoghurt etc...more than was expected the bed was very comfortable and Liz went out of her way to ensure our stay was care free Thank you Liz once again. We will have no hesitation in recommending your accommodation
A warm and charming cabin!
The cabin was the cutest set of log cabins I’ve ever seen, and everything you could have needed was ready and waiting for you. Such a lovely please to stay and the host was exceptional! Would highly recommend as well as stay again in the future.
Very accommodating owner, cozy cabin
It was a little far from Wasilla (20 mins), but that's my own fault for not checking. It was a nice cozy place for my son and I to stay in for a few days. Liz e-mailed me a few times to make sure we had what we needed, and we were just so busy, we wished we could have had more relaxing time to spend at the cabin. We hope to be back next time we get the chance!
OK
The cabin is really nice. It is warm/good heat. But, should be aware that the cabin is right at the intersection of a busy road and a gas station. Good if you need something, but if you keep shade up... lights of lights/noise. It is okay if your not looking for a "cabin in the woods". I have stayed a ton a places all over but never had such a host that was not so great. Asked a question but the answer was rude. Question was probably dumb, but then I tried to drive up to the old mine and I couldn't because my non-4 wheel drive car and cheap rental car wouldn't get me up the pass. I would of rented a better car so I could get where I wanted to go. But, I tried to drive up the last part of the road and my car slid all around and spun out. Disappointed didn't get to top of Hatcher pass.
Comfortable stay in a cute cabin!
This was our first "cabin" stay in Alaska & we thoroughly enjoyed it. Host was gracious, cabin was cute & well appointed. Loved having a access to coffee & little breakfast in our snug cabin in the morning. Close proximity to Hatcher Pass. Perfect way to start our 3 weeks in Alaska!
Quaint, comfortable, clean, and charming cabins
A series of cabins of different sizes with a bed-kitchenette-bathroom combo. Perfect location to access the Palmer/Wasilla region. Great area for hiking, hunting, fishing, etc. We had a potentially major reservation snafu, but the Hatcher Pass shopkeep went above and beyond to fix the issue. With family nearby, we would happily return.
A great cabin B&B in Fishhook,AK
Really nice cabin. Very comfortable. A bit different from typical B&B in that it's stocked with breakfast foods so that you can make your own. This was great for flexibility and privacy. The location isn't far from the road which isn't for those looking for a wilderness experience but if you want somewhat remote balanced with easy access to town and local hiking areas this is a great place.
Hatcher Padd
Way too small for four people with luggage. Noisy too as it is very close to a main road. Was not able to get in touch with the contact person when we had questions. Checked out a day early.
Quiet single room cottages afford restful stay.
Quiet single room cottages encouraged relaxation and comfort.
wonderful cabin with a great hostess,
we considered our cabin home away from home with a wonderful hostess. it was centrally located to all we saw in alaska
Charming little cottage room
Very cute and clean. Would stay again.
Excellent B&B in Alaska!!!
This B&B hotel was cozy, quiet, clean, comfortable, beautiful....Booking two nights as the last stop before heading to the airport in Anchorage to head home. My Cabin was small, but got everything we needed. We are a family of three. I was so glade I got a room with a queen bed and twin size bunk beds. Having an excellent experience and great help staying in this lovely place. The host, Liz, was so friendly, helpful and accommodating. She greeted us once we arrived and generous offer us a hotspot to improve the weak WiFi signal because our cabin was at the end. She made several phone calls for us to find out the local tours that we were interested. She mailed my cell phone quickly back to me which I accidentally left in the cabin. Part of my great experience in Alaska. I would definitely stay here again and would give Liz a big hug if I had chance to visit Alaska again. Sure to recommend everyone to stay here to explore the beaut of Alaska. Thank you for everything, Liz!!!
Nice Cabins!
We had a nice time. The bed was a bit soft, the futon a bit hard. Breakfast was sparse for two days but really yummy - it's set up in the fridge pre stay. The kitchen, bathroom, and cabin in general were really nice.
Nice cabin close to anchorage
We stayed one night at the cabin. It was very nice! We arrived late but everything was prepared. The room is big enough for 3 of us and our luggages. Our daughter enjoyed the two-layer bed and we all enjoyed the breakfast. Highly recommend it!
More like a cabin that has breakfast food in the frig for you, but we enjoyed our one night stay. We recommend it to anyone who has a reason to be in that area. It is beautiful up there.
Excellent location
Excellent location close to Palmer town but far enough out of town 9 miles for it to be quiet. Good breakfast service so you if you fancy a lie in you can.
I paid extra fro a cabin with 2 beds when I got there they gave me a cabin with 1 bed. I was glad they were not full. Other than that everything was fine.
Clean, Easy, Comfortable
I would stay here again. Much nicer than other places I saw in the area. The wireless internet was good, the small cabin size of Cabin #1 made heating it to the temp I wanted quick.
great place and location
I stayed here for 5 nights while working in Palmer, AK. I stayed in one of the larger cabins while a colleague stayed in a smaller one. Both were nice, but mine was at least twice the size of his. The cabin was clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with both utensils and all kinds of breakfast foods. It is a short easy drive to both Palmer and Wasilla. And it is a very short drive up to Hatcher Pass, which is beautiful. I will definitely stay here next time I come to Palmer.
Nice stay at the cabin
Felt secluded but close enough to town for a quick overnight stay. Felt a little out of sorts when we arrived and were met on the porch. Told which cabin was ours, asked if we had any questions and then asked what time we were leaving in the morning. None the less, cabin was clean, comfy and stocked for breakfast. Fun experience!
Great cozy cabin in quiet location.
Cabin was cozy but comfortable and had breakfast items (eggs, cereal, pastries and sausage) available to be cooked by yourself. Location was about 10 minutes from all other amenities, which is not uncommon for Alaska and along major road which led to some minor traffic noise. One of the better places we stayed on our trip/
loved the easy access to all the areas of intrest, darling, cute, comfortable cabin. will go again
