Large bedroom/bath on the second floor. Great hostess. Wonderful view of the valley. The hostess cooked a delicious breakfast for us. Highly recommend staying here.

This was a very quiet area with close access to the highway. The owners were hospitable and had considerable Alaskan knowledge. Breakfast was nice. Some people might be a little bothered by the chickens crowing in the morning but we enjoyed the small farm feel it gave to our stay. Would stay here again if we were needed an overnight stay again in the Wasilla area.

Host was very welcoming and helped us to dry our wet boots.That was so sweet of her! The room is spacious and decorated in a theme befitting of Alaska and the outdoors—pictures of wildlife, mountains, and of course, Denali. The quilt is olive green, muted brown, and beige with a border of moose, evergreens, and mountains. But in the corner on a good-sized antique table, there is a flower arrangement of roses. The floor is Pergo. The bathroom is also good-sized. The living room has animal heads and skins. The dining room overlooks the mountains, including Twin Peaks. Everything was great except the breakfast not exceptional like most B&B's. Pancakes were spongy and syrup was not real maple syrup, but eggs and sausage were good.

This home is a terrific option for a single traveler or a couple. the room is spacious with a great selection of Alaska books, cozy chairs from which to read or watch TV and a table as well. There is also a great soaking tub in the attached bathroom.

Gateway Overlook was a wonderful property to stay at. Amazing mountain views. terrific breakfast and the room was very large with private bathroom, king sized bed, 2 sitting chairs, table/chairs. Very large room-felt like our own personal apartment! Hosts were wonderful and very helpful with restaurant suggestions. Thank you!

The view was amazing and we loved the large room with compfy recliner. Great hosts!

Home away from home

What a wonderful find. The hosts were so accommodating and the homemade breakfast was wonderful. You really feel that you are at a home of a beloved relative. If I'm ever back in the area that would be my first choice of stay.

A comfortable stay

A very nice, clean, comfortable B&B. Delicious breakfast in the morning. If you decide to stay, try the Alaskan sourdough pancakes. Yum. Thank you.

Only difficult to find it in a rainy day

Welcoming host, spacious room, homemade breakfast and convenient location.

Very friendly, welcoming, awesome home owner. Home cooked breakfast was the best with the view of the Alaska mountain!

Lovely stay

Hostess was amenable to our needs. We had an early meeting, so she was up to get our breakfast ready at an early hour. She has chickens and turkeys, so we had fresh eggs. Wifi was good, too. Pretty close to eating and shopping in both Wasilla and Palmer.

Wrestling family

The host were amazing and incredible nice and accommodating. The bed was very comfortable. Morning breakfast was great and home cooked. Very filling.

Owner was very accommodating and welcomed us upon a late arrival! Pleasant and welcoming! Self-serve coffee bar at our disposal. Breakfast was delightful and served at our convenience. Our room was private, large and had a comfortable king size bed. Also had a small refrigerator and microwave for our convenience. Easy access to highway and short drive to Palmer or Wasilla.

Quiet clean bed and breakfast. Stayed one night before going to airport next day. 45 minutes away. Property also close to town. Hostess was friendly and provided good breakfast at agreed upon time. Would definitely return if get back to Alaska

Spacious, comfortable room with king size bed. Tasty breakfast including home made muffins and fresh eggs from her chickens. (Kathy was very attentive to a dietary need). Very quiet street with little traffic. Convenient parking in the driveway of the home. Beautiful view of the valley below just across the street from the house. Turkeys and chickens roam in the yard so are fun to watch. Kathy was very friendly and offered many helpful ideas for things to see around the area, recommended restaurants as well. There are quite a few steps up to the bedroom, so would not recommend for anyone with mobility issues. Otherwise, a nice room for a couple, including a crib in the room for an infant or toddler.

Amazing view. I qas not aware that I would be staying with the home owner.They were very nice but with all the stuffed animals and animal head in the great room and on the stairs was a little uncomfortable. The bed sheets smelled like the were dried more than a day after they were washed and smelled a little moldy. Like a gym locker. Besides that a wonderful home cooked breakfast.

Wonderful family running this B&B. Clean home, beautifully decorated, our room was very comfortable, and breakfast was great!

I found the family who runs the property to be warm and friendly. They made recommendations for wonderful places to eat and activities for our time there. If I ever go back to Alaska I would book with them without any hesitations.

We enjoyed talking with the host, taking a walk in the area, and breakfast.

Hidden Gem!!

The hosts were amazing! We arrived super late and they were there to greet us. In the morning she made us a delicious breakfast! The views were incredible! This is a hidden gem! I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Very nice stay. Very comfortable room with everything we needed. It looked to be freshly renovated and was spotless. Very sweet host. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Great place to stop for a B&B

Great place. Easy access, convenient, and just outside Anchorage on the North side. Nice stop, great breakfast.

Such a great experience and wonderful stay during our week visit to Alaska. Owners Steve and Kathe really made us feel at home. What a beautiful location and morning breakfast was excellent. Would love to stay here again in the future. Lovely Christian family made it even more special.

AMAZING care and Hospitality

My stay here was fabulous. Extremely hospitable, kind, and very helpful in all manner of local matters, with directions, to food, to sightseeing. I would suggest making this your first stop shop for a place to stay in the area if ever looking.

An incredible experience! We strongly recommend you stay and meet your host, Cathy. We felt we were visiting a home, full of love and comfort. We learned so much about sustainable living..ate eggs from Cathy s chickens. Got recommendations for anything we could think of. Salivated over the trips the family has taken. Everything was clean orderly warm and fuzzy. Oh and the views. Oh the views! I think we want to come back to Alaska just to stay there again and catch up.

The Mountain View was great! Our host was very friendly and she took lots of time to talk with us and offered information about the area and suggested things we might like to do. The breakfast she cooked each morning was amazing and started out day off right!!

Great views!

Nice place. Hostess was very sweet and accommodating. Full disclosure there are dogs and cats in the house. We did not know that and my wife is extremely allergic to cats.

Perfect! From the time we arrived until our goodbye, our time there was absolutely perfect. Kathe, our host was so kind and offered such hospitality. As we settled into the lovely home, she answered all our questions about the area. She and her husband were full of such wonderful knowledge. The guest room was so comfortable and spacious. The bed was the most comfortable bed ever! The next morning, due to our time change, we were up and about to leave earlier than expected. But Kathe still made us a most delicious homemade breakfast. We absolutely loved every moment here. The view is spectacular but the interaction with this lovely couple was unforgettable.

Nice accomodations

Gateway Overlook B&B was a great place to stay! Very nice accommodations, breakfast was delicious and very filling. The host Kathy was very pleasant. We enjoyed our stay and will deffinitly stay there again in the future.

The owners made our stay very enjoyable. They took lots of time to talk with us about the area and way of life in Alaska.

Kathe and her husband where great with doing everything to help solving the problem with our rental car. I thank them very much. Great room and place!

Exceptional

Very friendly owners. Beautiful room, spacious, exceptional bed and breakfast was amazing.

The hosts, Cathy and Steve were excellent and Cathy makes fantastic breadfasts!

We had a very late arrival, past midnight but the host waited for our arrival and adjusted breakfast time to when we like. The breakfast was great! I am coming back in two days!

The bed is a feather top, California king. Kathe, our hostess, is an amazing cook. The breakfast was amazing!

Kathe and Steve were great host. They have only one room to rent, and it is a great room! Very spacious and clean with all amenities separate from the rest of the house, so you can be alone, if you want. They made us feel welcome. We would definitely stay again.

Steve and Cathy were very nice hosts. The place has beautiful views of Pioneer Peak and Twin Peaks. Cathy prepared a very good breakfast. Her jam was sensational! The room, particularly the bath, wasn’t clean. The rate was more than advertised on Orbitz.

Very comfortable, very clean, very nice hosts and exceptional view of mountains. Delicious breakfast with farm fresh eggs.

What a view!

Cathy was an amazing host, greeted us at the door, chatted for a bit and showed us to our room. The room is HUGE with a HUGE bed to go along with it. Bathroom was also spacious, everything was very clean. But the view, the view was phenomenal, very jealous Cathy and her family get to see that every day. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, great stay!

Nice bed & breakfast with real nice staff

This was the first time we stayed at a Bed & Breakfast. We were really pleased with the cleanliness, people running, private all in one bedroom/bathroom/TV & good breakfast. This was a very good experience & would recommend.
