Friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed. All you need for a quick recharge during a road trip!

The motel had a small town vibe. Pleasant staff and clean facility. The noise came from trucks on the road nearby. Tbe breakfast at Screamers was a nice finale to stay.

Okay place for a short stay. It’s little noisy from the main street during the night.

A delightful little place. Super clean and cozy. Walking up to the restaurant in the mornings was a perfect start to the day. Have already told my local friends to suggest it to their guests.

Great hotel, long breakfast wait

Great place, friendly service and very clean. There was a little bit of street noise but not too bad. Had everything you need. Good place for dog owners. The only frustration was the breakfast set up. You go to a nearby location to get it so it’s not onsite - 3 blocks away, no biggie. However we waited 30-45 mins each day to order bc there were only 2 staff on and multiple hotels use their breakfast service. The food is really good (3 nice options) but the wait really cut into our day. Hopefully it was just understaffed around the holidays. Otherwise, it was a great stay!

Great customer service

Expected a cereal bar or toasts for breakfast, but they provide proper meals at a coffee shop nearby. Has an outdoor sauna and firepit. Other than the motel sign being hard to find, and the parking lot being a bit small, I really have nothing to complain about

The rooms are modern and clean and the staff goes out of their way to make sure that you are comfortable and have everything that you need. I felt that we got very good value for what we paid for the room and their breakfast which comes with the room are one of the better offerings in Radium

We stayed here for 1 night as we toured around the local area. The room was spotlessly clean but very small with few power outlets, had we stayed any longer we would have struggled. Parking was onsite, no problems there. The complimentary breakfast was served at a separate location - I found there wasn't much choice as an egg intolerant veggie, ended up just having a buttered muffin. Still, it was better than nothing! Shops & places to eat nearby. A good pitstop.

It was one of the nicest stays we have had till the date. The restaurant for the free breakfast has less options and busy.

Beautiful area.

We've stayed at this motel in the past as they are a pet friendly establishment, and the rooms are very clean and quiet/ The motel conveniently located just off of the highway making it easy to get back on the road in the morning. The motel has a good internet connection and offers an included breakfast at their dinner in town. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderfully quaint place

Very friendly and accommodating. TV did not work (& quite small). They were quick to come and fix it but office was closed at night so we waited until the next day to let them know. Beds were pretty firm... otherwise nice and clean throughout. Breakfast was light but very good. Thanks :)

Great Location

Stayed her two nights after exploring Banff and Iceland Hwy and Lake Louise area. It was a cute hotel to end our stay in Canada. Lived the German/Austria decor and the setting. It was on the major Hwy. to Banff but the noise was not bothering at all. Loved the firepits and walk ability to town! You get a free breakfast at Screamer's, a cute 50’s style dinner!!

The motel was great. My only complaint is shower we had. If you are 5’ tall or less it would be perfect.

The room was very comfortable and clean. The included breakfast was appreciated. We would recommend this place and would stay here again if we were in the area.

this property was one of my favorites. it was clean, cute, the staff was friendly, and the rooms were just stunning. besides the obvious (and minimal) highway noise, it was a perfect stay.

We always chose The Gateway when in Radium as we know we’ll get an excellent experience! This time we chose a room with a kitchenette and had everything we needed to cook our meals over 3 days. The walk ability to town is nice. The cleanliness and attention to detail make for a very pleasant stay. This property is well maintained. The complimentary breakfast at screamers which is a retro bakery/diner was really good! I would recommend The Gateway!

Getaway

It's an amazing stay with easy access to all other exciting places close by

Short visit to Kootenany NP, and Gateway was a lovely stop. Nice breakfast at a cafe a few minutes walk away. Big Horn Sheep regularly seen from our room.

This property was adorable- inside and outside! It was spotless, the bed and pillows were comfortable, the towels were thick, and the natural, handmade bath and body products were lovely. The breakfast at their diner up the street was great - even a GF option! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would send a family member there and stay again, myself.

I don't stay in Motels very often, because they are usually not very clean. This time I decided to try it out and was pleasantly surprised by how clean the bathroom/room was. Only thing wrong in the room was the lighting, no bedside light, only a bright light overhead. The bathroom had a bulb burnt out so it was hard to do my makeup. Bed was comfortable and there were a few options for the pillows, firm or softer.

This a lovely motel. Rooms are a bit small but extremely clean and comfortable enough. The cost was reasonable. Checknim and checkout was easy. The breakfast available atvthe local cafe was delicious. I would recommend this motel

Our room was very clean and convenient, but was booked for 2 adults….when we got in the room the bed filled most of the room…so found that it would be better suited to a single traveler. Tough as well to charge tablets and phones for 2 as well. Was just OK for a one night stay.

Stayed there twice. Clean, had everything we needed. Recommended and would definitely stay again. Staff are really nice too!

A little noisy but otherwise good. If you’re a light sleeper maybe bring earplugs. The outside is very cute and the staff were very nice!

Had to wait almost an hr to check in rooms were very tiny

No one is ever in the office when needed. The first night of a 3 night stay we lost power for 2 hours. Then at 7:30 am the entire area lost power again indefinitely due to fire. No one in office to discuss or update us. So no breakfast, no fridge for my husbands insulins. We had to leave. By necessity. My 80 yr husband needed food and refrigeration. They would not reimburse for the 2 nights we didn’t stay

This motel was decent. Basic & an older building but pretty clean & quiet for the most part.

It was the perfect place to stay. So charming and very clean. The room was small but had everything we needed and the bed was extremely comfortable. Enjoyed the short walk to breakfast and views of the mountains were amazing. Nice and close to the hot springs too!

The property is very nice , cute small rooms, very clean. Great breakfast available at Screamers restaurant (great place and food). Walking distance to everything , including the Hot Spring pools about 25 mins away

Nice place

Hotel is in Radium Hot Springs at the south end of Kootenay National Park. This park doesn't get the press like Jasper and Banff, but is a must see. Lots going on in Radium. Hotel itself is average, but nice enough. comes with free breakfast at the ice cream store down the street.

It was very clean. I did not care for the window air-conditioner which had a gap to the outside. Found a few mosquitoes in the room as a result.

Easily accessible location. The rooms are bare bones and contain just what you will need since most of your time will be spent out and about. The only inconvenience is that the office is only open from 4pm to 9pm, but we were able to talk to one of the cleaning staff to get us checked in early. There is a gym that we didn't use. the mattress was firm but we had a good night sleep. Grateful for the AC unit in the room. Lots of cute spots to hang out outside.

Extremely clean and cute! Wonderful welcome from the staff on arrival. The room exceeded expectations- it was rustic and beautiful! The flowers along the balcony were stunning. We didn’t know what to except for the complimentary breakfast at Screamers but we were again pleasantly surprised: this is a 50s style ice cream shop/cafe that has very tasty light offerings in a beautifully decorated establishment! If I ever return to Radium I will definitely stay here again

Great little highway motel with AIR CONDITIONING and free breakfast. Bed was a little hard and you could hear the highway traffic, but otherwise this place was perfect and made check in and check out easy

So-so

The staff was friendly and accommodating, and their bath soap smelled really good. But those were the only good things. The worst thing (to me) was the rock hard beds. I woke up with my back killing me about 2 hours before I normally wake and couldn't get back to sleep because it was hurting so bad. The noise from the trucks on the street is very loud. The coffee maker was broken, and a very sweet lady watered flowers on the balcony in the morning when people were below, loading their cars up. I got a cold shower from the water coming out of the bottom of the planters. Not pleasant. But she was so nice I didn't want to yell at her. It was a cute place, but I wouldn't go back unless there was not another option.

Great stopover in Radium , close to everything. Very clean comfy room.

Convenient location and well kept. Window ac unit worked well but was a bit noisy and the mattress was ok. It was what we needed and great for the price!

Weekend Getaway.

It was a nice stay. We were late to check in so they left the key for us and we officially checked in the following evening. Staff were around if needed but they really were non obtrusive. Lovely stay

Bit of an issue with amenities but owner or manager was very accomodating

Comfy bed with good sheets & pillows. Very clean bathroom. Nice patio with bbq facilities, though it's an easy walk to Wildside Pizza or Horsethief Creek. Parking right outside our door. And do go to Screamers for breakfast. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast sandwich on our way to golf.

Small room but very clean. Super friendly and accommodating

The property is nicely kept and very clean. We were able to get a ground floor room at check in (due to an injury). The young lady at the desk was delightful. Only one small negative issue was breakfast. In order to provide breakfast they had to send us to a red down the street. That would not have been a problem except that the three food options were all really bad. Personally I think they would be better off not providing breakfast and just drop the room rate by a couple of dollars. In any event I would certainly stay there again

The room is small, but good for a couple. The bathroom is a good size. Everything is very clean, nice bedsheets, nice soap, shampoo and conditioner. Lots of TV channels. It would be great if the fridge was a bit bigger as we are on the road trip have a cooler and extra food. It would be nice to have some shelving and hooks in the room and bathroom.

Nice property. The breakfasts was at a nearby restaurant and was very good. Lighter portion though. We had the egg and ham sandwich. The bed was not very comfortable but was adequate. Overall was a good one night stop!

The owner was fantastic to interact with, she also runs the cafe where the continental breakfast was served. The food and coffee were delicious. She also gave us a fantastic supper recommendation and it surpassed our expectations. Only issue was when showering the tub was slow to drain. It is also close to the hot springs so we enjoyed a great evening in Radium.
