Great place all around Best snorkeling on the island with easy access

It was a great place to stay. Amazing views from the room and an easy walk to Cruz Bay for taxis and shopping.

Heavenly spot!

Comfortable unit with patio overlooking the ocean. Restaurant was excellent, with sunset views.

Great location- nice property

Love the location- you can walk pretty much anywhere and have a wide variety of restaurants and bars within 5-15 minute walk. Property is pretty with a nice pool with great sunsets. Staff was hit or miss. Front desk staff was good- friendly and helpful. Concierge staff was not great, with the exception of Missy who was wonderful. We were shocked when we asked Jay if any beaches rented chairs and she told us to Google it. It felt like she resented having to talk to us and was very unhelpful with any details about which beaches to walk to (actually discouraged us and told us it was not a good idea.. we went anyway and it was wonderful and though we got a little lost since we had no help from her, we found some helpful people at the beach to give us easy instructions to find our way back). All in all a good property, just hope you have Missy as the concierge on the days you are there since there's really not much help with the other concierge staff.

Its proximity to the town was very helpful for eating, shopping, and arriving and departing from the island. The service was exemplary.

We loved the property. The staff was outstanding and the grounds and accommodations were immaculate. We will definitely go back again. There is a restaurant that offers takeout. Cruz bay is close enough to walk, but there is a hill to come back up on the return. The shuttle will pick you up and bring you back to the ferry but no transportation otherwise. There is parking for a rental

Could not pick a more perfect spot for our trip to St John!!! Gorgeous rooms and views with a private beach area and swimming platform! Just a moments walk from downtown area with lots of restaurants, bars and shopping! The peacock on the property was a wild surprise!!! Everything was just perfect! Would recommend Gallows Point to anyone that asked!!!

Beautiful grounds and excellent location. Restaurant was good and staff was helpful. We stayed there for Carnival weekend (early July) and music was very loud in our room every evening from 700pm to 200am. It would have been nice to be informed of this before our cancellation period passed - - or to have been offered a quieter room on the premises (I expect ground floor is quieter). Workout facility is very small and smells of mildew. Our room (2D) needed updating (in particular televisions and plumbing), but had a great view and comfortable bed.

Quiet yet close to everything. Able to walk right out to the water. Best place to watch the sunset.

Our condo was bayside and gorgeous. Overall the grounds were well maintained and perfectly located on a peninsula within walking distance to Cruz Bay restaurants, bars, ferry and shops. Great views of the other islands from pool and snorkeling off oceanside deck. The restaurant is lovely with fantastic views of the ocean and sunset. Great food! My only complaint was that one of the front desk staff was rude and unhelpful. She gave incorrect information on several occasions, errors due to lack of wanting to be bothered. I would give higher rating if there was better front desk hospitality.

Close to everything , beautiful views, clean and nice restaurant on site

What I liked most about this hotel is its location. It’s a quiet and safe property just outside of town and an easy walk to Cruz Bay.

Love this resort, loved the floating dock and the pool. So beautiful. Walked down to dinner every night. Easy to catch a taxi out of Cruz Bay to the beaches don't need a car. Resort very safe and comfortable.

This property was amazing. The view was outstanding, access to the snorkeling area, pool & hot tub. The peacock that lives around the property is beautiful & we saw a few iguanas too. The housekeeping service was great, made our visit stress free. We loved the double doors that open out to the amazing view and cooked in a couple nights to enjoy the view. The store on the property is so convenient. We hope to be back one day.

Gallows Point was above amazing. Quiet, secluded setting, yet walking distance to town. Amazing ocean front views. Everyone who worked there was a pleasure to interact with. The restaurant Ocean 362 on site was outstanding. The gift shop/convenience store was perfect for morning coffee.

Can't wait to return

We had a wonderful 6 days at Gallows Point. We loved the pool, deck, small sandy beach on site. The snorkeling was great. A few hundred walk to restaurants with great views of the bay. It's about 1/4 mile to the local market. About a mile and half to Honeymoon Beach in the National Park. In my view, the best beach in the Caribbean.

Very relaxing tropical resort.

Close to Cruse Bay (town). Nice view of the bay. Liked the Architecture of the suite and the balcony overlooking the bay. Can be a little noisy if a band is playing at on of the bars in town.

The View Is Everything!

The view was by far my favorite part! The location is near alot of the restaurants, attractions and the ferry. We couldn't have picked a better location. Our suite was clean, well stocked and very spacious. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. They recommended activities to make the most of our stay. Overall, we had an amazing experience. We will 100% return!

Great location near town

We enjoyed our stay at Gallows Point Resort. We loved the location…walking distance to all the restaurants and bars in Cruz Bay. The property is a little bit dated, but in great condition. The views of water all around are gorgeous.

Great location... short walk to Cruz Bay restaurants. Suite with small kitchen was quite nice. Beach with decent snorkeling. Pool with great views. Nice little bodega/gift shop on site. Only complaint: 5% credit card fee. How else are you able to book via Hotels.com? Mandatory non-included charges are b.s.

It was not a hotel resort. They are unities with kitchen and living room. The restaurant does not open everything. There is no breakfast! We left there 2 hour later and got another hotel. Expedia did not help us. The lady at front desk was so snob, didn’t do anything to help us. What a disappointment!!!

Absolutely beautiful, quiet setting with gorgeous ocean views. The grounds are well kept, the staff friendly, and the short walk into Cruz Bay makes it easy to get to everything. We will be back again!

Wonderful stay at Gallows Point, everyone was very friendly, we especially enjoyed Anna who works at the reception.

Everything was great. The late afternoon desk clerk is awesome. Her daughter works in the gift shop. After a long day, would always come back and have a chat with her. Hotel is great…… Can’t wait to come back!!!

Great location! Rooms are a bit out dated, but they have a nice lake house or cabin in the woods kinda feel. Views of the ocean are great from your room, every night the sound of the ocean was amazing to fall asleep to. The restaurant there has pretty good food too. Shower was a disappointment, hugest walk in shower I seen in a long time, but with a small shower head and no water pressure. Definitely need to update that. The staff is very friendly and the grounds are kept very clean. Lots of iguanas on the property and even a big beautiful peacock walked up to my patio one evening. Beaches are all close by and taxis are always running to them in town. I recommend this place for families.

The pool was very murky for 2 days.

Nice Stay

Beautiful spot and an easy walk into Cruz Bay. Folks onsite were all very nice. Restaurant very good. The rooms near the restaurant (4 buildings) all get noise from the restaurant. Fortunately it isn’t open super late.

Loved our stay at Gallows. Stunning ocean views. Clean and spacious accommodations and excellent service. Can’t wait to come back next year.

Great location! Walking distance to town. The villas were clean and well maintained with amazing views of the harbor and ocean. The pool was nice and quiet. They don’t have a beach...it’s very rocky, but we planned to explore all the island beaches so that didn’t bother us at all. They have a floating dock out in the water which we enjoyed. Overall, we love it and plan to go back to Gallows!

Most beautiful resort in St. John’s! Clean suites, beautiful property, not too crowded, close to shopping and lots of restaurants.

Loved the quiet space and being about to sit outside and watch the harbor. Pool has a stunning view and it is so easy to walk into Cruz Bay. Kitchen was well equipped which was nice too

The property is within walking distance from Cruz Bay. The view is wonderful and the point offers some decent snorkeling.

Perfect Romantic Getaway

A perfect getaway for a couple. The location was ideal, fabulous snorkeling and within walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Beautiful property to stay at St.John, clean, walking access to Cruze bay, close to many restaurants and shopping yet secluded and private. If you like to stay on Cruze bay side of the island then this is the best pick

the unit we stayed in met our needs perfectly and was directly on the Ocean, not common on St John. Gallows provides beach chairs and towels. Free onsite parking is really great. 5 minute walk into town to shops and restaurants, yet the Ocean side units are very quiet and you don't hear any noise from town at all. Staff at Gallows was friendly and helpful. We did not try the onsite restaurant. Make sure to bring your own phone chargers as our unit did not have any USM outlets. We can't wait to return!

We had a fabulous time on our Honeymoon at Gallows Point Resort. A van was waiting after ferry dropped us off at Cruz Bay. We didn't even have to call. Housekeeping kept our room tidy and only came when asked. The service was exceptional. We will definitely come again.

Love Gallows Point

This is the second time i have stayed a Gallows point. the staff is really great. They are helpful and friendly. The condition of the site is really great. very convenient to walking to town and getting around Saint John. Will be back

Our stay was wonderful, friendly staff, amusing views, and located in paradise! I would highly recommend to anyone considering staying here!

Great all around place! Just never ever book your Jeep through the hotel store. The woman who runs it will try to rip you off or try and pawn off a mini-van on you. First place I called on my own had plenty of Jeeps for less then she quoted. Super shady lady :(

We LOVED the view (directly on Cruz Bay)!! We greatly appreciated the shuttle from the Ferry and back. The staff is Wonderful as well!! Having to walk to do laundry was kind of a bummer- we have always had washer & dryer in the room or inside a facility but I do appreciate that it is free to use. Our condo was a huge loft w/full kitchen which was great and daily housekeeping helped the feel of being on vacation. It's in a good location, pretty easy walking distance (15-20 min) to Cruz bay restaurants and gift shops.

Low key, staff quiet but very nice and pleasant ...iguanas, peacock and other wild life, snorkeling was good, bar has great view and gift shop well outfitted with conveniences...great views

The grounds and pool area were beautiful and immaculately maintained. Check out the barracuda hovering over his flat rock to the left of the diving platform and the many other small fish.

Property is well maintained. Pool is really nice. Harborside can be noisy at night until the band in town stops playing at 11 but not too bad. Convenient walk to town.

Beautiful resort. Great location

What we loved about Gallows Point Resort is it is on a beautiful lush property with amazing view and it was an easy walk to shops and delicious restaurants. The pool area was beautiful and mostly empty during our stay. We loved that the resort was quiet and peaceful and not a lively party place. Although we did hear music from the bar close by later into the night. Spacious room with a kitchenette. The only negative is you can hear downstairs TV in loft bedroom. This is not a 5 star resort but it definitely met all my needs and I would return.

The property as a whole is wonderful. Great location on the water and near Cruz Bay downtown. Currently there is still construction going on following the hurricane from a couple years ago. (We went Dec 2019)... Downtown has a few less spots to shop and sip. Gallows was overall in good condition. My biggest disappointment was the GM. Prior to arrival we discussed a medical condition that was unsuitable for travel and they said my stay was non-refundable. They told me I could rebook for next year which is not an option in my condition, not to mention we would have to pay the difference which was almost double the price of our original reservation. Upon arrival I was sick for 3 days where I could not leave the room and the GM never checked on, nor cared to see how I did considering all the headache leading up to travel. The remainder of staff were exceptional.

Loved the view. Loved our room. Loved the location , close to town. Loved the pool and hot tub. Loved the grounds. Loved the dive platform and snorkel area. Loved the staff. Can’t wait to stay again. This place is a gem.

Great location on St. John, with wonderful view of Pillsbury Sound & Cruz Bay. Landscaping was immaculate. Pool very clean in a beautiful setting. Staff was friendly and helpful. Problems, although few and minor, were responded to and fixed immediately. Wouldn’t consider staying at another location on St. John’s.

Extraordinary views, the upgraded pool has amazing views that you can see while relaxing. This time of year is very peaceful, feels like you have the whole place to yourself. We will definitely be going back.

Gallows Point is truly a wonderful relaxing place to stay. Walking distance to the dock and many restaurants in Cruz Bay.

I loved the views, the beautiful water, the gorgeous plants and wildlife, and the overall comfort of the room and ease of access to everything. However, for the price and location of the room compared to other properties of similar value, I expected a little more. The jacuzzi was not functioning, there was no bar (open or paid), the on site restaurant was expensive and the options were very limited and portions were relatively small, and the lack of clear communication was a small issue. It's almost like you are expected to already know a lot of things about everything and everywhere, but you get the vibe all around the island. Some of the hotel staff didn't make us feel very welcome.
