Great hotel great staff excellent food

My expirence in this hotel was exellent, the staff attention, breakfast, spa, room, everything was really good, I recommend to stay in this hotel you will love it.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Vulcan at the front desk was so helpful with recommendations, suggesting activities each day, and pointing me in the right direction. The manager arranged a balloon tour at the last minute. He also offered suggestions at the restaurant for a menu item that I would enjoy and it indeed was absolutely delicious. The breakfast was a true Turkish breakfast with more food than one can possibly eat. My room was a real cave room, and the location of the hotel provided a spectacular view from the outside terraces. The sauna and pool were very refreshing. I was traveling alone as an older, single woman, and appreciated the respect and service provided. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Outstanding Hotel and Service

The staff make this a great hotel , the service is outstanding. The cave rooms are large and bed unbelievably so comfortable. The views from the terrace is wonderful Ugrup has great shopping and restaurants with the locals being so friendly and welcoming. Very pleasent staff. From reception staff to the breakfast crew, the best part of this hotel are the people. The rooms are good too. We did not want a cave room and booked one of the rooms with a view. No regrets. Beds were comfortable and the room overall in good condition, The bathroom felt a little old, but all in all it was an excellent stay.

Wonderful experience. They are taking all the precautions and going above and beyond to make you feel at home. Breakfast is free and one of the best in the area. If you are planning to go Goreme I highly recommend that you rent a car, stay here and drive for Goreme early morning to catch the bus. The place is the best period

A beautifully constructed hotel built into the rocks in the centre of Urgup. I was concerned the rooms might be dingy, but they are very well designed and do not give this feeling at all. As they are made entirely of rock they also stay cool when outside is more than 30 degrees. The staff are helpful and the served a delicious Turkish breakfast.

Beautiful! Stunning location and views. The hotel is beautiful, the food delicious and service provided was extremely welcoming and accommodating. It ticks every box on the holiday front. I would also recommend hiring a car to travel around for convenience in Cappadocia.

great service and staff is there true asset, location I think Goreme is better choice this is in Urgup, I'm trying to spell but these are turkish names, main drawback is air conditioner does not work properly and it will take it hours to get comfortable so no sleep for hours

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms were large and beautifully decorated. The owner Mehmet was very hospitable and knowledgeable. The restauraunt Deve Damı is a must. Authentic Tandur dinner. Everything about this hotel was goid. Can not fault.

Historic Friendly Hotel

Wonderful hotel next to old town of Urgup.

Loved it here. Room, the deck, the staff. And breakfast was incredible! Finally, I missed a bus and the hotel manager drove me 20 km to the next stop to catch it. When I tried to give him a tip he refused it. I hope to return soon!

Exceeded our expectations.

Exceeded our expectations. We stayed here for 3 days in June 2016. The cave room was lovely, spacious and cool when the outside temperature was over 90 degrees. The common areas, the restaurant,and the patios were charming with beautiful antiques and treasures in niches and corners..Breakfast was beautifully presented and a little different every day. All the staff were warm and very helpful. It's in walking distance of the downtown where you can get authentic Turkish food and lovely mementos. The staff even provided me with a classical guitar to keep up with my practising.which was an unexpected service! My wife and I highly recommend this hotel.

Perfect place to stay in Urgup

I loved the service I received. Our room was upgraded at the check-in to a larger one. Our room was spacious, very comfy, clean, well decorated and quiet. At our departure, we asked them if they could serve the breakfast 15 minutes earlier than the usual time because we had to catch our flight, they kindly accepted and the breakfast buffet was perfect. The only thing that could be improved is the restaurant. The hotel has only one restaurant and it serves only tandoori. Since the meat needs to cook very slowly, they ask you to make a dinner reservation before 1 PM, but the check-in time is 2 PM. The day we arrived, we were very tired and it was rainy outside so we really wanted to eat at the hotel but under the given circumstances we couldn't. The hotel staff told us that our options are to dine out, in a nearby restaurant or that they could order in pide (kind of Turkish pizza) for us. So we were happy eating our pide in our comfy room while watching a soccer game but anyway I think that the hotel needs to improve its restaurant service. Maybe a small room service menu that would also contain vegetarian/vegan options would be a nice touch. Bottom line; I was very satisfied and happy with this hotel, highly recommend it and would stay there again.

If you're heading to Cappadocia area, stay HERE!!

Booking a stay was easy and convenient. The hotel acknowledges the bookings and asks if they can be of further assistance. Though this was done by my other Turkish hotel in istanbul. Because of this, Turks have excellent concern and hospitality. The Cave room was excellent. I did have a leak in my first cave suite from the tub, and so they upgraded me to a bigger cave suite. The hotel was beautiful as is Turkey in general. The location was not the busy tourist areas of Goreme but i don't think there is a hotel as authentic as this one, nor as spacious based on my comparison to the various hotels we drove up to pick up guests for various tours. Overall an excellent stay. The people are great and try to go out of their way to make you happy. we had minor concerns and they felt they had let us down... not by a long shot. Gotta head to the best... head to Fresco Cave Suites

Fantastic 2 day getaway

Great 48 hour getaway - the hotel was peaceful and calm and super helpful when making local bookings for tours, balloon rides and recommendations. A little out of the way of all the touristy sights so be prepared to take a taxi but the little town is great and definitely worth the stay.

Lovely Hotel with Amazing and Helpful Staff

This hotel was perfect for us. It was well situated in walking distance of shops and restaurants, and even has a few winery-type places nearby. The staff was so helpful and set us up with tours and the room was amazing and spotless. We were upset we only stayed for one night!

Everything was perfect and service rendered by the staff was very efficient and prompt. Was given a free upgrade of the room which was very spacious and pretty!! Highly recommended!!

A great hotel. Staff was wonderful. Our room and hotel environs lovely, especially roof-top terrace. The food at breakfast buffet was fresh and expertly prepared. And the 8-course dinner cooked in a 2000-year old Tandoor oven AMAZING!!

Owner & his daughter have created a labor of love, and it shows. Building beautifully restored. Besides being a beautiful facility and conveniently located, it's warm welcoming atmosphere. The staff goes above and beyond to meet your needs. They found a very old tandoor on the property and are now using it to create a special"traditional"dinner. Not to be missed

Family owned and run beautiful facility

This is a cave hotel which was built just five years old. Not only was my room very spacious and extremely well furnished but there are multiple spaces in the lobby area with lounge chairs, tables etc. The outdoor terrace also has seating for about 30 people. The buffet breakfast is excellent, including the choice of omelets. The hotel is less than a 10 minute walk from a nice size town, with lots of restaurant choices and an opportunity to just walk and observe. The staff including the owner's daughter cannot do enough to make you comfortable. They are there to help you with tour choices, arrangements for vouchers to and from the airport etc. Again, you can pay more but you will not find a better located, more comfortable friendly hotel in Cappadocia.

Superb Service

Superb service at the hotel, from pre-check in all the way through checkout. Fevzi, the night front desk person also gave us a walking tour/hike around the Cappadocia Rose valley in Goreme. It was very good!

Beautiful Fresco!

This was an amazing stay. Perhaps because it wasn't the busiest time of the year, we found it fresh and relaxing. We arrived in evening the staff gave us two rooms to choose; a cave room and a larger regular hotel room. It was nice to see the difference and compare. We went with the Cave option for the experience but the other room was larger and even had a little terrace. However, our room was just as comfy, the bathroom spacious, and the spacey living room allowed us to spread our stuff out. They have tours that they can help book but we had pre-booked ours from other companies online. Too bad about the Balloon Tour; was cancelled due to poor weather. The breakfast spread was AMAZING. Really, really good. They even packed a simple sandwich and fruit for us take with us to airport on the last day since our flight was too early to allow us to enjoy the regular breakfast.

This is a beautiful hotel located 5 minutes walking from shops and restaurants. The staff is very friendly and hospitable. Our room was spacious and beautiful, with a terrace and a nice view. Breakfast was great. We booked all our tours with the hotel and we had such a great experience. Do not hesitate to book this hotel.

Fresco was beyond our expectation: Beautiful, clean, and spacious room with magnificent view, convenient yet quiet location, lovely breakfast with wide selection, friendly and helpful staffs (and a dog too!). We LOVED this place and would recommend it to anyone who would like to experience the true hospitality of Cappadocia.

Good stay.

Fresco is an excellent location - if you want to be in Urgup. I gave an average rating on location only because I feel that Goreme is a better area esp. if a first time tourist. Other than that - it is a top notch bed/ breakfast kinda feel. A special shout to the job they do at breakfast.

Great hotel near the centre of town.

The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was tremendous. The only negative was that we were on the top floor, so 64 steps to walk up every time, however it kept us fit.

Lovely spot

Great place to chill and relax. There are loads of places to sit outside and enjoy the sweeping views of the town and surrounding areas. We were upgraded to a very comfortable room for our four nights and it really felt like home. Handy location to town. Short stroll to the town centre,but away from all of the cars etc. Highly recommend this place to stay. Hilme the cat makes you very welcome. Definitely going back.

Our stay was wonderful, and the staff was very helpful prior to our visit. We had lots of tour questions, and they patiently supplied lots of email replies. They also arranged the airport shuttle pickup and dropoff. The hotel is beautiful and nicely located.

Great Hotel

Recently spent 3 nights at Fresco Suites and it was everything we expected. Great room on the first level near the restaurant. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was well laid out and it had the best bathtub that I have come across in a hotel for a very long time. breakfast was lovely, all local style and everything was so fresh, eggs , omelettes etc were cooked to order. The owner emailed us when he received our reservation details and organised our airport transfers, local day tours and balloon flights. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel is also just a short walk from the town centre and there are several restaurants too choose from. Would definitely stay again.

The Flintstones in style

This is where the upscale Flintstones would stay. This is a boutique hotel is built into the side of the hill on the edge of the heart of town so it is perfectly positioned . The staff is very friendly and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised when were greeted with an free upgrade to a suite cave room from a non cave superior room. (make sure you ask for a cave room when you make your reservation). The room was nothing short of anything you could imagine of being in a warm inviting safe quiet well lit cave. The bathroom was a separate cave room with all the amenities including an oversize Jacuzzi tub (for tall person and /or 2) and a separate shower equipped with the rain shower and wand shower heads. There a large patio outside to sit and take in the views of the valley and surrounding area. Just 3 to 5 minute walk in town is a 200 year old haman (Turkish bath) be sure to experience that the first restaurant on the right as you walk into the town has an outdoor seating area and serves the traditional CLAY POT baked meal which is quite tasty. Don't worry if it is a little chilly out as they will provide you with a warm serape type blanket so you can enjoy your meal without being cold. Room Tip: make sure to confirm your room is a cave room

Beautiful Hotel right in Downtown Urgup

We had a very pleasant stay at Fresco. The hotel facilities are surprisingly new looking. The room was exactly like the online photos and it was very clean (though the fabric on the furniture looked a bit old, but was in very good condition). The bathroom had new clean marble and it had a full sized Jacuzzi and shower stall with great water pressure. The staff took our bags to our room right as we entered before we even sat to check in. The included breakfast was good, and you can eat on the beautiful terrace that has a nice view of town. The hotel is right in Urgup town, so a couple of minute walk to restaurants and the main square area, which was very convenient. They also arranged all my transfers. Overall a great stay.

2 Nights at Fresco Mansions

Our experience at Fresco Cave Suites and Mansions was amazing! The hotel staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. The room was quite large for a standard size room. Breakfast was very good as well. There are lots of restaurants and shops within a 5 minute walking distance from the hotel. Overall a great hotel and I would definitely stay there again!!

The hotel was very kind and upgraded us from a basic to a suite at no cost. However, after the first night, we decided to change the room cause it is right opposite the restaurant and we weren't able to get a peaceful sleep. The second room we got was on the top floor which was nice and had a great view. Please note that the hotel rooms do not have air conditioning, or at least the two we stayed in did not have. But the rooms were cool enough at night so it was fine. The stone ceiling of the rooms arent done well as bits and pieces of the stones or plasters fall onto the bed and the bathroom floor so you will have to wear bedroom slippers. Location was good, walking distance to town. Service was not bad, not the best I had experience but good for the price.

A pleasant stay in Cappadoccia

I enjoyed our stay at the fresco suites. There was one woman who spoken English exceptionally well and was enormously helpful. The other staff were perfectly pleasant but much more reserved.

Great hotel

We stayed 2 nights at Fresco's and had a room in the top floor. The room was clean, the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable by providing a welcome fruit basket for example. We stayed in numerous hotels during our trip around Turkey and Fresco's was by far the best, yet not the most expensive. Close to the hotel is Cafe Ziggy, which has excellent (local) food. We would definitely stay here again.

this is one of the most accommodating hotel staffs that i've come across. front desk guys almost felt like they were tour guides. went above and beyond on a regular basis.

Friendly and helpful staff, good location

The staff had great recommendations for restaurants and helped set up a private tour during our stay. The cave rooms are super cool and my daughter expressed that she wished we could stay there longer. We spent most of our time at the hotel on the terrace overlooking the area or playing with the puppy that lives on the grounds.

Perfect Stay in Cappadocia

A great hotel

We stayed there two nights in July. The rooms designed like caves were awesome. The staff was very helpful and they had great breakfast.

Highly Recommended

We stayed in the Fresco Cave Suites and Mansions in May 2013. Hotel is 5 minutes from the central square in Urgup which is a charming small town and a good base to see the area. Hotel arranged for an affordable shuttle to and from Nevsehir Airport. They also took care of booking all of our tours and gave excellent recommendations for how to spend our time, where to eat, etc. Rooms are large, well furnished, and have a classy refined charm that makes staying there a pleasure. Our room had a barrel shaped rock ceiling which created a cozy and unique atmosphere. A terrace deck over the lobby provides a perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing and drinks and snacks are available for order. Our room included breakfast which consisted of a buffet and eggs made to order. Most importantly the hotel staff, and I mean every single person, was fully engaged at creating a great experience for the guests. Highly recommended.

Dreams of Fairy Chimneys Dance in your Head.

This is a beautiful hotel just recently opened in the historic cave area of Urgup,Cappadocia with wonderful views from it's hillside perch. The elaborate building complex is constructed of carved stone caves and newly carved stone blocks. The front desk staff is kind, helpful and speak good English. The rooms are incredibly large, the baths enormous with big deep tubs and modern plumbing fixtures. While the lobby decor theme is a bit generic and will leave design gurus feeling a bit flat, it does have a real wood burning fireplace that is nice for cozying up and sipping local wines. While this new hotel still has a few kinks to work out, such as regular hot water for showering, the staff is prompt at resolving any issues. In room wifi is free with good connection. Note; there is an active historic mosque nearby, but if the pre-dawn call to prayer blasting over the loud speakers bother your early morning shut eye, the sumptuous beds are wonderfully comfy with new high quality bedding, so you can just fall back into slumber and dream of Fairy Chimneys!
